@TylerCArmstrong · 22/04/2015 at 21:40

With both Lamb and Lambert in my fwd line surely I need to trade one of them for Krakouer. The question is though do I wait one week incase there is a better option? Or do I trade now and potentially get a higher score this week as I can choose Krak over one of Clark, Hogan or Salem? hmmm

    @TylerCArmstrong · 22/04/2015 at 21:41

Leaning towards the second option in trading this week but would like to hear the communities' thoughts.

    Ben · 22/04/2015 at 21:43

I have the same problem. .. mcgrath and lamb. Thinking I’ll hold and risk having no bench cover for the next week

      Brook · 22/04/2015 at 21:52

If u have a mid swing set u could trade lambert into your mids and then have a mid and fwd loophole … If not, I would still wait if you have 6 scoring fwds … No guarantee Krak will out score them. Even if he does, at most u may miss out on 30-40 points … Prob worth it to get your rookie selection right the next week. Conservative, I know, but I think it would be an unneccasary risk with only marginal uprise to trade him I this week

        Bushy · 22/04/2015 at 22:20

you do miss out though on gaining $40-50K on the second week price jump

          judd0 · 22/04/2015 at 23:14

          Second week price jump? what?
A player doesn't change price until they have played three games?

          Vlastuin Paridise · 23/04/2015 at 07:50

SC has three games before price changes. Other fantasy AFL options have it change earlier.

    Clunker · 22/04/2015 at 22:14

Krakouer has played one game people. One. He’s just as likely to throw in 31pts this week.

      Bushy · 22/04/2015 at 22:19

if he even averages 60 – theres still 200K in it – a few injuries in Port Adelaide so he shoudl get a decent run

        r2d2 · 23/04/2015 at 00:45

He is actually only an elevated rookie people , and elevated for 4 weeks at this stage I pretty sure ,, just be careful , will have 2 price jumps , but that could be it until after byes it there is another LTI

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 22/04/2015 at 23:36

    Wait one week

    splinter · 23/04/2015 at 00:41

wiat one more week to see how robbie tarrant goes, scored 107 and is at 144k!!!

      Josh · 23/04/2015 at 08:24

Just about to comment the same thing

    Danners16 · 23/04/2015 at 12:04

Check the teams, if Krakouer is playing, I probably would go Lamb to Krakouer

Steve · 22/04/2015 at 21:52

Contemplating trading out either clark or Salem to bring in bont wondering which one leaning towards Clark or just holding off and passing on bont

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 22/04/2015 at 23:40

    Hold for one more week….bont isn't proven yet……hasn't played a good side…..wait!!!!!!

    @t_woof · 23/04/2015 at 00:33

I'd pass and hold firm on Clark and Salem.

@Rem_Wah · 22/04/2015 at 21:57

Jock… just want to let you know that I am currently ranked 169 in SuperCoach (Team RemWah), which is by far my pb! it's only early days, but I wouldn't of ever been in this position without you and the website's help – thank you!!

    TOPHAWK1 · 22/04/2015 at 22:07

Hear hear! I am also in the top 1% currently in Supercoach!!!

"Top Hawks" ranking is a more modest 2984 (Compared to your incredible 169 pozzie) but I am still bloody happy!
Like you Rem Wah, Jock has helped me a lot, particularly with the rookies!

I am going to check out your team now Rem Wah! Get some clues….

      @Rem_Wah · 22/04/2015 at 22:13

thanks! will do the same 🙂

        TOPHAWK1 · 22/04/2015 at 22:17

I beat you last round! 2237 vs 2207! Watch out, I am on the moooove!

        Cheers mate

          BigDropKick · 23/04/2015 at 15:36

Must say I'm pretty happy with myself at the mo' too , ranked 1,077 got 2,323 last week .
Think I am lucky to have avoided injured players ( beside Ablett ) so far .
First time I have EVER been ahead of my 14 year old son ( ranked 1826 ) …. ( wont last lol )

          paul · 23/04/2015 at 15:58

That is a massive score you racked up last round. I also have avoided injuries to date. Exception: Tom Rockliff. I am holding onto my trades this week. You need them at the back end of the season if you want to give yourself a chance of winning it. Good luck this round. Hope you stay in front of your son! Cheers

            BigDropKick · 23/04/2015 at 16:13

Thanks Paul , I hope I do too ! , just wish I had put the Capt on Neale ! .
Planning on holding trades for next couple of weeks . Good luck with your team too

      @Rem_Wah · 22/04/2015 at 22:17

very nice team there – How many trades have you used?

        TOPHAWK1 · 22/04/2015 at 22:40

I have used 3 trades so far and I am determined not do any trades this week. (Rockliff-> Sloane, Malceski-> Mc Govern (Hope his knee is OK) and forgot who he was-> Goldstein.

Although I see opportunities to trade this week. So bloody tempting but sitting tight.

I reckon your team should again do well next round. Lets kick butt!!

        Cheers mate

          AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 22/04/2015 at 23:41

    General Soreness · 23/04/2015 at 15:58

Grats Rem Wah nice work, keep it up mate.

sean · 22/04/2015 at 22:02

wallis for krakouer

lambert/lamb to krakouer??

will most likely wait a week but what do you think is more important?

    Clunker · 22/04/2015 at 22:17

Again….Krakouer has played one game folks. One. Don’t get carried away. He’s not the savior.

    AMERICANMAGPIE1 · 22/04/2015 at 23:42

Bushy · 22/04/2015 at 22:17

wait a week

PDAP · 22/04/2015 at 22:17

I am trading Krak for Anderson which will give me enough cash plus mid/fwd swing to trade K. Kolod for Pittard. Anderson most likely to be given game time in the AFL because he has not replicated his NAB form. Krak is a slight risk after one game but he played his role well. K. Kolod role seems to be different to date and not condusive for decent SC scores. Pittard is a dasher and is in a very good side.
I generally value my trades highly but I would like to settle my squad. What are your thoughts community?

    Dan · 22/04/2015 at 22:47

Be wary of the KK to Pittard sideways trade. Krak can wait a week. Waiting a week also gives you another look at Kelly (adel def rookie) as a possible trade for KK.

      PDAP · 22/04/2015 at 23:32

Thanks Dan. My side looks better with Pittard in it and I believe he can come on this year after playing 22 games for PA last year plus he has a BE of 9.
And Bushy (below), I do not have to make a trade so boys, perhaps I will wait a week to see if Kelly can replicate his 10 tackles.
Is he a big fella like his old man Craig?

        Kev · 23/04/2015 at 09:00

Look beyond last week, PDAP. Even in his full season last year he put in way too many stinkers to be considered as a safe pick

Bushy · 22/04/2015 at 22:18

– unless you have nothin else urgent for your trades this week

Dan · 22/04/2015 at 22:50

Concerning Jordan Lewis' score. He played in very windy conditions and apparently had 5+ clangers. On the positive side, he collected it 41 times…this will more often than not produce a monster score!

    Kev · 23/04/2015 at 09:03

Right you are, Dan. 7 clangers and only 7 contested possessions. 9 marks and 10 inside 50's though. High scores will happen for him

      derek · 23/04/2015 at 10:26

Lewis has become more of an outside player this year. Sam Mitchell & Langford were at the bottom of every pack last week.

    @Rem_Wah · 23/04/2015 at 17:09

Lewis' scores from the last two weeks have been affected by his disposal efficiency as well as clangers… He is averaging around 35-36 possessions on the season to date; so obviously he's not having trouble finding the footy – and if he cleans up his ball use we can expect 130+ point games to be a recurring theme as long as he keeps up this level.

Tyler · 23/04/2015 at 07:10

Best fwd keeper apart from Gray, Swan and Roughead

    eatemalive · 23/04/2015 at 07:56

      Will · 23/04/2015 at 09:58

      Brillsy21 · 23/04/2015 at 10:01

      Dusty imo

        derek · 23/04/2015 at 10:22

you wouldn't have said Dusty if you watched the first half of last weekends game. He junked it up late to make his score look good.

Still can't work out if delidio being out helps or hinders Dusty?

    Danners16 · 23/04/2015 at 12:08

Not really too many standouts at the moment, I believe Dusty's price may go down the bye period. He is a good option, but I probably would say Dahlhaus as a POD

      NateCrows · 23/04/2015 at 13:40

      I rate Dahlhaus

    @TylerCArmstrong · 23/04/2015 at 18:45

Buddy for sure! Then Martin after him.

    TOPHAWK1 · 23/04/2015 at 18:52

    Cant go past Buddy.

Mind you, he hates wet weather footy and Sydney isnt exactly the driest place on the planet at the moment.
That said, he looks bloody good. I might consider him after the Freo game in Perth.

Leon · 23/04/2015 at 08:24

Trading out Malceski & Lycett.
Should i bring in:
Smith & Grundy
McDonald & Grundy
McdOnald & Blicavs

    Aaron · 23/04/2015 at 08:41

I would hold malceski he is a top 5 backman he is just inconsistent but i would go smith and grundy, grundy will come up against tbc, warknock and zac smith in the next couple of weeks then upgrade him.

    Danners16 · 23/04/2015 at 12:16

    Smith + Grundy

    Holty · 23/04/2015 at 15:15

There is risk with Grundy. You may need to trade him out in the near future when Witt returns (if he does). At present he is their real sole ruckman but when Witt returns, could change his role substantially.

    TOPHAWK1 · 23/04/2015 at 18:57

Can you afford Smith and Blicavs? If you can, then that combo is what I would lean to.
Blicavs is a DPP and POD player. His role has been more a midfield onballer than a ruckman, as his stats indicate. The fact that Bartel has gone down makes him a really interesting prospect. If you cant afford this combo I would go for Mc Donald and Blicavs.

    Just my take,

Aaron · 23/04/2015 at 08:38

What ranking is to bad to be out of contention for the 50k

    Kev · 23/04/2015 at 09:09

Bit early for that I reckon. Some absolute turn rounds/premiums going down/poo scores. Some coaches go out hard and run out of trades after the byes, others hold off and come home strong

      derek · 23/04/2015 at 10:13

      way to early.

I'm not worried about my actual rank, that can be misleading. I look at the number of points I am away from the top 100.

I'm ranked around 20,000 but only about 500pts off the top, but my team is looking really good. Have only made 1 trade (GAZ >> JPK) and only injury is to Lamb. got all the right rookies (including Krakour) from the start. so even though not at the top, I'm still feeling like I am going ok.

this is the first year I have worried about overall rank, usually it is just league wins. Different thought process (I usually have sacrificed one of the bye weeks).

    Danners16 · 23/04/2015 at 12:16

John Bruyn won it in 2013 with a rank of around 72,000 in round two. Anyone can still win it

Sarah · 23/04/2015 at 08:46

Great Podcast guys!! Loved the interview with the Barron. It's great to get all the crows goss! Can't wait for round 4 to kick off!!!

Jizcon · 23/04/2015 at 08:48

Bloody Parker don’t know whether to pull up the scks n stick with him and see if he shits in my face or trade him into Watson who I thinks got potential to end up top 10 with the asada crap gone

    Kev · 23/04/2015 at 09:11

Buddy steamrolling him didn't help! Also consider Mundy and Hanners around Jobe's price. Only knock him is he handballs more than he kicks

      Jizcon · 23/04/2015 at 10:06

Like the lads said in the podcast hanners n mundy aren’t season long keepers watson is and probably a little undervalued atm

    Danners16 · 23/04/2015 at 12:09

    Keep faith in Parker

Tony · 23/04/2015 at 09:27

What do guys think – KK to Hodge or B Smith or nothing. only used two trades so far

    Locked and Loaded · 23/04/2015 at 10:13

Brodie Smith for mine Tony. Love Hodgey but you never know when he'll sit out for a spell

    derek · 23/04/2015 at 10:18

Hodge has surprised me this year. He looks injury free for the first time in a few years.

I do worry a lot about the hawks resting their old blokes at the end of games. Even though Hodge scored 170+ on the weekend, he sat on the bench with his legs crossed for the last 10 minutes of the game. Same goes for Mitchell & Bourgoyne.

I have Mitchell and he is likely to score 100 by 3/4 time and end the game with 105…can be frustrating. but if they are fit and injury free they are clearly underpriced.

    Danners16 · 23/04/2015 at 12:10

Smith, playing in the midfield more. Hodge is good, but is more of a risk with age.

David · 23/04/2015 at 09:44

Thinkin buddy for Bartel but might wait a week & use Bartel for my loophole. Have Salam & Clarke on the pine. Just thinkin Syd v freo will be low scoring & buddy might not be get more than 85. Should I wait a week & do the community think I should do the trade this week? What is buddy's breakeven?

    Flanno24 · 23/04/2015 at 10:18

To me if you wait a week two things could happen
He could score poorly and lose about $20,000
Or Buddy could score half decent not losing money (BE 106) causing you to miss out on that score

Or take the safe alternative and not worry about the small amount of money you could lose, if you're gonna get Buddy I would take him now

      Locked and Loaded · 23/04/2015 at 10:24

Needs a good game to smash his break even and appreciate a hell of a lot against a gun in form Freo side in WA. I'd hold Bartel this week hope Buddy depreciates a tad and get him next week. If you have enough playing forwards that is!

    Danners16 · 23/04/2015 at 12:13

Wouldn't look at Buddy, if you have a look at the magazine, look at the Buffalo Jump article, good read

Locked and Loaded · 23/04/2015 at 10:16

I have been backing the rucks in for the last 3 weeks and although I still believe they will pump out decent scores they will hurt you also. I have Goldy and Mummy and am thinking to trade Mummy for Blicavs. This allows me to strengthen backs or forwards where I only have 3 premos in those lines. Should I look to strengthen backs or forwards first. I have Brett Goodes who I can turn into Brodie Smith / Simpson. Would love some advice on this matter!

    Locked and Loaded · 23/04/2015 at 10:22

Could also just do Goodes to Taylor Hunt and keep Mummy

      Danners16 · 23/04/2015 at 12:12

Mumford will leak a lot of cash, better picking him when he is cheap. Goodes to Smith, Mumford to Blicavs is good

eatemalive · 23/04/2015 at 12:16

C.Judd to miss this week with a hamstring injury ,expected to miss 1 game – Source – AFL Website

NateCrows · 23/04/2015 at 12:50

Great Podcast again……Bloody ripper! Glad to support the community!

Had to trade out Bartel. Swinging Gray into fwd line from the guts for Krak.
I am also tossing up whether i should use the cash to bolster the defense. Goodes to B smith? Or I could go Hodge into the middle instead of Krak and swing him back. Or could even get a heppell or watson.

Thoughts community?

Nato · 23/04/2015 at 13:03

Another great podcast boys. What is the communities thoughts on Danyle Pearce as a POD trade for Bartel?
He seems to be racking up nice numbers this year, but nobody has mentioned him at all.

    NateCrows · 23/04/2015 at 13:16

premo for premo I reckon. You will have to upgrade him still so 2 trades when you could use one. Unless you get a rookie you need and get a premo somewhere else?

Insayne05 · 23/04/2015 at 13:16

Thoughts on Kolo to Hunt and Goodes to Byrne.
My defence is currently – shaw, newnes, ibbotson, Mcintosh, Oxley, Kolo and on the pine Saad & Goodes.
Cheer's for your feed back guys.

    Jacob · 23/04/2015 at 13:29

Byrne is out this week with a minor hamstring injury. Wait on that trade.

      Insayne05 · 23/04/2015 at 13:34

      cheer's Jacob.

yelad · 23/04/2015 at 13:17

is it at all worth keeping goodes? if not who would be the best trade options? (have 223k in the bank)

    northernsoul74 · 23/04/2015 at 13:49

Don't think you can keep him for the long term so he has to go at some point. If you can't upgrade him to someone you really want I'd wait and trade to the next emerging def rookie over the coming weeks. I expect Hamling to get a game this weekend and I think Goodes might get dropped from the final 22 so he may not lose you cash this week.

derek · 23/04/2015 at 13:28

Rocky looks like he will play this week. Can't see him coming out and having a massive game, so can see him dropping in price over the next two or three weeks. Who can tell me what his BE is now and if he was to say have scores over the next 3 weeks and average 90SC, what would his price fall to?

    NateCrows · 23/04/2015 at 13:37

His BE is 279. I imagine he will be dropping hard…. don't know the other stats

    Sarah · 23/04/2015 at 13:38

If he scores two 90's his price will drop about $60-70k after his 3rd game. Will be watching him closely myself.

      NateCrows · 23/04/2015 at 13:55

dropping 60-70k each week for 3 weeks if he ave's 90?

Edit: Just realised he's only played 1…

        derek · 23/04/2015 at 14:21

there is some serious trouser stretching happening when I look at some of the Premium players and their high BE

          General Soreness · 23/04/2015 at 15:57

          Agreed derek.

    Frank · 23/04/2015 at 15:51

When Rocky comes back, if he scores a 90 then a ton, he will drop $69,750. At that point he will have a breakeven of 190.
If he comes in and scores 130 and 130 he will drop $39,150 and have a BE of 137

      Derek · 23/04/2015 at 17:29

Thanks Frank. I can see him having a couple of quiet games to start

derek · 23/04/2015 at 13:30

Delidio out for at least another two weeks.

Does this help Dusty or not?

    eatemalive · 23/04/2015 at 13:33

Dusty 139 LW, but I don't think it was because Lids was out, more so that he worked harder. Actually thinking about putting the VC on him TW.

    Locked and Loaded · 23/04/2015 at 15:39

Dusty is a gun with Deledio or without will be top 4 forwards this year

Marco_Polo94 · 23/04/2015 at 15:29

Ripper podcast as usual lads, I hope the Higginbotham manoeuvre pulls off because the genius and plums required for that is on another level.

With wallis being sidelined for only 1 or 2 weeks according to the afl website, would a wallis to krakouer trade this week or next week be unwise? Have been very happy with wallis as a selection obviously, but am worried that injury and effected score will harm his cash generation dramatically.

I'm eyeing off Krak and Tarrant and thinking if both score well next week i shall be bringing both in. And my only other woe is Mummy. Still no closer to deciding whether i hold or trade to another premium.

Locked and Loaded · 23/04/2015 at 15:41

Marco regarding the Mummy situation I am in the same boat. Even if he averages 100 for the remainder of the year he will bleed so much cash. Down to Blitz or Smith is a good trade and strengthen elsewhere. Even Nic Nat if you're not comfortable with the other two.

    Marco_Polo94 · 23/04/2015 at 15:45

Yeh it's a matter of bleeding cash vs burning a trade. Nic Nat or Grundy would be my downgrade option hmm

      Locked and Loaded · 23/04/2015 at 15:56

I think this trade may be worth it because you can strengthen another line and at least you're bringing in another premium. For example I'm using it to upgrade Goodes rather than sideays trade him and there is nobody to downgrade him to

        Marco_Polo94 · 23/04/2015 at 16:07

I'm also considering trading him to Goldstein. Thinking last week people traded ablett to wines, danger etc instead of a safe option in sloane. Paying the extra 100k payed off for that week at least. Yes it is a sideways and usually i wouldn't consider it, however this bloke is averaging 20 more than the next best ruck. Yes it is blown slightly out of proportion by his big 154, but he is still outperforming all other rucks. Could be worth the trade just to get that one right and keep up with everyone else who has him.

Mac · 23/04/2015 at 15:54

Thoughts on Kolo and Goodes out and Hugh Goddard and Brodie Smith in? That will be using the left over Gaz money but Goodes and Kolo are leaking cash and I'm hoping Goddard can get some games soon. Thoughts? Or should I just downgrade Goodes and hold Kolo?

    General Soreness · 23/04/2015 at 15:57

If you have no other issues, you could paint the fence next week with Goodes and Thumper, there were a few def debutants last week.

Luke · 23/04/2015 at 16:32

I have Bartel, Lids and McGrath in my fwd line with no mid swing, as well as goodes in defence. Should i use the 2 trades this week and if so who do i get in?

    @Rem_Wah · 23/04/2015 at 17:10

You have to get rid of Bartel

    Tyler · 23/04/2015 at 21:24

You do have to get rid of bartel, but not this week at least. He can’t drop in price unless he plays. But I would suggest trading him out this week. Too many wasted points on the bench. As for the other trade, if you have all the essential rookies and players playing on every line, you dont have to do anything if you don’t want to. I would trade lids out for another premium keeper

Ryan · 23/04/2015 at 17:05

Trading Wines out and have 617k. Can't afford Sloane
Should I get Lewis, Neale, Mundy or Selwood?

    harbl100 · 23/04/2015 at 17:58

I'd be going to a proven super premium in Selwood, his price looks to have bottomed out.

    TOPHAWK1 · 23/04/2015 at 19:12

That is a really tough call Ryan.

    Here is my take;

One guy I am not certain about is Mundy. He is a bit like Ryan Griffin. Very capable of big scores but inconsistent. Bit risky. (With Fyfe, Neale and Barlow in the same side as well).

Lachie Neale is the up and coming value for money man right now. Could be a very good pick. Keep in mind he does have to share points with the other 3 Freo Midfielders above.

Lewis is a super premium who is very consistent and scores heavily. He is currently very expensive and occasionally can lose points through innefective disposals. A safe option with a heavy pricetag.

Selwood could be your man. Relatively in expensive vs Lewis and capable of similar scores. Now Bartel is down, he may see more of the pill but obviously may be an increased tagging risk. Although he is known to break most tags. Its Selwood for me.

    Hope this helps.

I'd look at bringing in Gray, Buddy, Martin or Roughhead… Or, If you're considering a left field option, you could consider Rioli. I have had Cyril in my FWD line since round one – he is averaging a respectable 97.33… Obv big risk/reward
As for McGrath, keep him for now unless you have no coverage for him on field.
And for Goodes, as long as he's named, he is worth keeping. At least for this week.
Hope that helps.

Bit annoyed that the jock club is a subscription not a payment, so I can't join because I don't want to add me credit card to PayPal

Anyway around this?

I'm hanging on to both in the hope that they will come good and save my trades – still have 30, but losing one to offload Bartel.
