This is a place where we can just stand around and have a chat about the footy over the weekend. A place where we can bounce ideas off one another and try to crack the Supercoach code. Can I have some knowledge about Jaden Mcgrath please.

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 17:01

14 disposals last week and a 70 for his effort. Honestly don't excpect anything higher from him, doesn't seem to have good JS yet

    @AusSports84 · 10/04/2015 at 17:03

I missed him this preseason and he looked very sharp vs the Pies in round 1. Personally, I'm bringing him in for an Ahmed Saad or Cripps (using DPP) if he puts up another strong show this week. Definitely looks in the Lions best 22.

      LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 17:05

Preseason was poor but I think Saad-McGrath is solid next week

        SC God · 10/04/2015 at 20:58

McGrath only played about les than 50% game time in preseason

    Jaden · 10/04/2015 at 17:05

Thanks Guys. I made a mistake by picking Tim Mitchell without realising he is not playing. Now i am thinking of downgrading him to McGrath and cashing in 300k and make some adjustments to the team next week before the price goes up.

      @MikeTulip · 12/04/2015 at 07:03

      Bontempelli/Wingard IMO,

    @AMcK3220 · 10/04/2015 at 17:06

Jaden McGrath is a small, speedy midfielder who shows courage and agility. He had a frustrating run with injury, missing the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships but showed potential as a member of NAB AFL Academy Level 2 squad.
    Background

    • McGrath had a frustrating year in 2014, missing the U18 National Championships through injury.

    • However the AFL AIS Academy graduate had shown enough to be invited to the AFL Draft Combine and ultimately be drafted by the Lions.

    • McGrath was drafted with the Lions' second live pick on the draft, pick 73 overall

@AMcK3220 · 10/04/2015 at 16:55

On ya Jock-son… WCE reported to drop guru Josh Kennedy for tonight ? Confirmed?

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 17:00

I heard the same, if they do surely Hill or Lucas come in. Supposed to be wet so I'd expect a small to come in

FootyFanatic · 10/04/2015 at 16:58

There are reports that Sloane may not play this round! The carnage continues…

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 17:01

Yeah mate, nightmare for those who have brought him in

      shane · 10/04/2015 at 19:52

      reverse trade?

    Ben · 12/04/2015 at 09:29

I luckily had him as vc and he got 134 so i chucked the captaincy onto bartel, will help me get 2200 this round even though i brand brown on for goodes and left oxley on my bench :'(

@AMcK3220 · 10/04/2015 at 17:01

‏@TimGossage 13 minutes ago

If the rumour Josh Kennedy is out of the @WestCoastEagles team tonight is true, you would have to start thinking @CarltonFC are favourites.

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 17:02

I've got some money on them at $2.65 so here's hoping

      shezza · 10/04/2015 at 17:19

Lekdog, I have Blues @ $2.75 absolute morals tonight (I’m a Pies supporter too). Melb are value as well, very impressed with them last week. Sorry to get your trouser region a bit “Jordan DE GOooooEY” but Judd is $13 for most possessions tonight. He has done his best work at that ground over the years

        medadsson · 10/04/2015 at 17:29

Let's hope Cripps has a joyous return to WA on wide open spaces of Subi!!!

          shezza · 10/04/2015 at 17:31

Agreed. Putting him as emg as i have Krakouer on the field. If he stinks it up, I’ll put Heeney in. I reckon he’ll get 70 or so

            LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 18:35

I did the same thing Shez

              medadsson · 10/04/2015 at 19:23

Cripps OUT! Don't think I am prepared to carry him now.

          shezza · 10/04/2015 at 19:25

          There goes my theory lol

      Mike · 12/04/2015 at 08:55

Ouch. Never bet on your own team.

dognino · 10/04/2015 at 17:01

Hearing on the local radio Sloane has missed training today. Supposed to be just a precautionary, but any one looking to bring him in this week might want to keep a close eye out for a late withdrawal .

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 17:02

    Agreed

      dognino · 10/04/2015 at 17:08

Quote from PhilWalsh , Rory Sloane is right to go, he has some tightness in the legs and we didn't want to train him 2 days in a row.

inztantkarma · 10/04/2015 at 17:04

Seeing some feisty coaches venting spleen at Geelong for not naming Jimmy. Don't blame Geelong… Blame Taylor Duryea who decided to pin Jimmy's arms and connect his coconut with the centre square with seconds left in a well and truly decided match.

One week. Relax.

@WHITEEEY99 · 10/04/2015 at 17:05

Bartel out as well for those who don't know yet!

Rick · 10/04/2015 at 17:08

Sloane: Phil walsh has said that he was just a bit sore and didnt want to train 2 days in a row, but hes ready to go
Bartel: I have bartel, is he out? I looked at the lineups and hes still in.

Jimi · 10/04/2015 at 17:13

I didn't want to trade this week but I'm now thinking of trading out Miller, swinging Lambert into the mids and bringing in McGrath in fwd. I'm happy with all my rookies and this is the only rookie correction I plan to make (either now or in Rd 2).

Pro: Means I still have 2 trades available for rd 2, where potentially I may have to make some big decisions about Ablett & my elite rucks.

Con: Only 1 week in, would like more time to assess rookies.

What are the communities' thoughts?

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 18:36

I'd hold off for a week

    Gobbledoks Pride · 11/04/2015 at 08:31

McGrath job security no there yet, Miller hold, Lambert you can get next week rookie correction. I'm thinking! Hold on Ablett you got him now rememember it's Ablett! So hold until R2 for rookie correction just my opinion mate!

Chris · 10/04/2015 at 17:14

What is Vandenbergs job security like? Thinking of next week trading him in for crisps if a repeat from last week happens..

    shezza · 10/04/2015 at 17:21

I reckon good. Vince is back and from memory, no other decent mids to come back

      jim · 10/04/2015 at 17:40

      Jack Trengrove.
But he is aiming for 2016 return.

shezza · 10/04/2015 at 17:22

Who do you feel will get the vest for Hawks this game? I reckon O’Rourke. Thinking of putting Anderson on the field. Thoughts??

    Bonters · 10/04/2015 at 17:26

I'd expect Anderson to get the vest again this week.

      shezza · 10/04/2015 at 17:29

      Over O’Rourke?

    Jimi · 10/04/2015 at 17:48

Anderson was pretty solid after he got subbed on last week, scored 36 in a quarter. I think O'Rourke will start with the snot vest but unless there's any injury I think Anderson is still likely to get subbed off.

      Frank · 10/04/2015 at 18:30

I'd had a couple Monday but didn't he come on start of 3rd?

        Jimi · 10/04/2015 at 19:14

I thought it was more towards the end of the 3rd, but I wasn't watching closely. Even so, decent for 1/2 a game.

          Cozza · 11/04/2015 at 10:23

It was early in the third from memory – remember commentators saying they were surprised Hawks had pulled the trigger so early. That said, still scored on for a rookie in less than a half – and he hit the post twice

      wattsieesq · 10/04/2015 at 18:36

I expect Doc to be the sub. Shiels out, Birch in. Doc replaced by Birch in the 18 and Jed replaces shiels in the 18.

        wattsieesq · 10/04/2015 at 18:45

Well scratch what I just said as Doc has been dropped

    Richard · 10/04/2015 at 19:30

Anderson will play full game…im almost 100%…he is Clarko's love child. He is the next Dane Beams and i reckon Clarko will be wrapped to get an injury and feel comfortable to have him play a whole game…Anderson will score 80-100 on Sunday…come back at me hard if im wrong…

derek · 10/04/2015 at 17:33

I didn't see Ablett play last week so I don't know how lame he is. I'll be watching him close this week, Im not going to take anyone else word on it until I have seen him play.

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 18:36

Looked like an 80 year old

      dognino · 10/04/2015 at 18:44

Looked bad, but he is genius and always puts himself in the right spot, hence 2 late goals to boost his score. Can't count him out even tho he's unfit.

    shezza · 10/04/2015 at 19:22

Favoured his dodgy shoulder. Ran funnily. Viney smashed him every opportunity. Lucky to get 80 points to be honest

    seaford scouse · 11/04/2015 at 11:15

Wise words Derek, check it out for yourself before making a call. He looked rusty as but it was first competitive hit out since he went down last year so that has to be expected and even Jesus needed his disciples and the suns as a whole failed to deliver big time, I'm expecting them to lift significantly this week and baby J to improve, not sure they can afford him the luxury of a sub vest either unless there 10 up going into the last.

NickyV · 10/04/2015 at 17:35

What are your thoughts on 2 trades this week and 2 trades next week to set my team for the price increase at round 3, And then I won't trade for a while unless injuries unfold? Cheers community!

    shezza · 10/04/2015 at 17:43

After receiving feedback and reading comments, maybe it is worth trading this week if you have a Sidebottom or a Rockliff and if you don’t, next week you do corrective trades.

    nicko · 10/04/2015 at 17:44

Depends on reasons for trading players. See articles on the sites during the week and buy a PDF copy of the magazine if you didn’t get the real paper stuff. Have a look at Trading Your Way to Success in there.

    Jimi · 10/04/2015 at 17:56

As the advice has been on the page this week, I'd only be trading early to correct rookies and adjust team structure. Are you sure you need to used 4 trades to do that before rd 3?

    seaford scouse · 11/04/2015 at 11:19

check put John Bs article as well mate, very sage advice from a champion. Despite the more popular view of not trading this week other than injuries there are certainly very valid reasons to do so if circumstances permit and you can hold your structures. good luvk

Sammy · 10/04/2015 at 18:00

Pendles or Gray for VC
C is on Fyfe

    Jimi · 10/04/2015 at 18:05

    60/40 Pendles.

    Phil · 10/04/2015 at 18:13

Same here actually. I don't like Pendles as a VC, I reckon he is more C (after your VC has failed) material because he is so consistent but doesn't go really large very often.

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 18:37

Pendles, loves Etihad and dominates Adelaide

Luke · 10/04/2015 at 18:01

Can anyone see some logic in trading out R Griffen scored (70) to Daniel Rich scored (126)? and Lumumba (73) to Geary (111) ? thinking i can save some big dollars with doing those two trades. going from $48k in the band to $315k in the bank? REALLY NEED SOMEONES OPINION PLEASE. DIG IN COMMUNITY!

    nicko · 10/04/2015 at 18:05

Not this week No. And probably not next week either. You picked those players for a reason.

Is anybody here reading the articles and listening to the podcast before they post?

Stop panicking and keep your trades.

    Vince · 10/04/2015 at 18:07

Why sideways trade after round one? The sample size doubles this weekend, make an informed decision leading imto round 3 and the price changes.

    dognino · 10/04/2015 at 18:25

Those scores could easily be reversed this week, would you then trade Griffey back in next week if he scores 130?

    Jez · 10/04/2015 at 19:08

Absolutely not, hold for another week and if they underperform again then re-assess. Don't go chasing last weeks points.

      demon · 10/04/2015 at 19:37

unless you have discoverd some screct cheat that allows you obtain last weeks points in the trade, NO

    @Rem_Wah · 10/04/2015 at 19:48

Don't see any value in those trades, Luke. HOLD.

    Jambo · 10/04/2015 at 19:57

If you did, you just wasted two trades. I think Griffen is likely to go huge this week given he's copped flak over the out-of-character performance last week. Geary (Wayno will disagree with me on this) is a mid-priced trap. Hold Lumumba. You'll still get at least 70-80 each week which is still an above par scores given the limited options you have available.

    Gobbledoks Pride · 11/04/2015 at 08:10

Only trade if your playing Rookies are not right (if you don't have the right ones from the start), or if injury's to premiums happens! Lumumba V's Geary will both avg the same by seasons end so hold on that one, and well Griffen V's Rich both cant handle the tag, Rich may be more $$$ increase at seasons end but will not be a massive amount when comparing Griffens $$$! just my opinion tho!
So I say NO TO BOTH changes! Good Luck

Luke · 10/04/2015 at 18:05

Also who gets the gig for D6? Brett Goodes or Adam Saad?!?!?!

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 18:37

You gotta back in Goodes if you have him

    Jambo · 10/04/2015 at 19:58

    Saad.

    Gobbledoks Pride · 11/04/2015 at 08:33

    coin toss mate!

Nash · 10/04/2015 at 18:14

Should we be considering taking out Hugh Godard out of our teams as he's not playing and could be a towngrade target

Phil · 10/04/2015 at 18:16

I kinda liked the idea of Lambert not playing this week so I could loophole Cripps tonight and get a 2nd change with Vanderberg tomorrow if need be. But now that he is who should I play at M8, Cripps, Vanderberg or Lambert?
I'm leaning towards Cripps because I'll know if he is sub or not first.

Captain Pugwash · 10/04/2015 at 18:20

Where is Jack Steele from GWS.

Jacob · 10/04/2015 at 18:24

I've got Gary Ablett as VC and am tossing up between D. Beams or N. Fyfe (maybe even Luke Parker)
Thoughts??

    seaford scouse · 11/04/2015 at 11:28

be wary of parker after going down last week but what a performance up till then, fyfes a solid pick for mine but id advise to check out the barons article mate pretty much done all the research you need for the captains pick.

Hwath · 10/04/2015 at 18:30

Anyone else just hear that Kennedy might be a late out tonight. Not SC relevant but if you’re having a punt it certainly is. Go blues.

    shezza · 10/04/2015 at 18:36

Put your balls on the Blue baggers

      Jimi · 10/04/2015 at 22:56

      Balls must be hurting πŸ˜‰

        shezza · 11/04/2015 at 01:42

Extremely sore. I’m clearly off my head!!!!!!!!

Jacob · 10/04/2015 at 18:34

Adam Saad or Isaac Heeney at M6?

    Luviboy1 · 10/04/2015 at 19:06

    Heeney.

    shezza · 10/04/2015 at 19:20

Saad only with the theory, pick the player who is playing the weaker team

      JDogg · 11/04/2015 at 06:46

Heeney looked the business last week.

Hawkeye · 10/04/2015 at 18:41

If i trade out Rocky for Danger before the bounce tonight. Can i change my mind tomorrow morning or is that trade locked in once the round starts ????

    dognino · 10/04/2015 at 18:42

Can't reverse after the first bounce, better off holding trades to last minute if you're unsure

Old Bugger · 10/04/2015 at 18:41

I feel like lycett will be crap this year and Ibbotson too.

Question 1. What does the community think of Taylor hunt.

Question 2. Should I drop lycett for injury prone bellchambers?

    Cyril is Delicious · 10/04/2015 at 19:05

I dropped Lycett for Brodie Grundy, if that helps?

    Dave · 10/04/2015 at 19:09

Watched Hunt last week at the game Old Bugger, and off half back I rate him. He's not tagging, is a good rebound player and kicks it too.

    Gobbledoks Pride · 11/04/2015 at 08:23

Players changing clubs always seem to do well in there first year at a new club!! his job security looks good for now but being Richmond you never know, I feel he is a gamble, and if you already have anymore then 2 mid pricers (Defenders) in your back line I would say NO just a opinion tho! Lycett to much $$$$, only value in him if Nic Nat go's down!!
    Good Luck

    dognino · 11/04/2015 at 11:27

Lycett scored 96 last night, without doing too much , I'd take that from a $400k investment

LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 18:46

CRIPPS OUT!

    KJU FC · 10/04/2015 at 18:52

    HOLD OR TRADE??

      Dave · 10/04/2015 at 19:07

If you really need scoring player in his place, a sideways to van berlo is probably best option

    NickyV · 10/04/2015 at 18:52

    should i trade?

      tom · 10/04/2015 at 18:53

who should we trade too? already have vandenberg, touk, heeney, CEY

        Frank · 10/04/2015 at 18:56

trade to nobody, just bench him, assess next week

        eatemalive · 10/04/2015 at 19:13

i have Lambert n Vandenberg to choose from, dunno ? they both might get the vest

          Frank · 10/04/2015 at 19:22

          wait and see

    Anthony · 10/04/2015 at 19:12

Lekdog as a fellow Blues fan, please help me out. Is it worth using a trade to go Cripps to Rich, I don't believe all the hype that Rich will be tagged given that none of Brisbane's next 4 opponents have a recognised tagger.

      LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 19:24

Hold, trades this week are too risky

    medadsson · 10/04/2015 at 19:24

Problem now is are we prepared to carry CRIPPS? Not me. Was happy to see how he'd go but have to move before round 3 so no chance now.

      LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 19:27

hold until an obvious choice is there to replace him

      dognino · 10/04/2015 at 19:36

Should have cover, for me it's a good chance for lambert to catch up to Cripps, as I don't have lambert. They will both be on the bubble together and I can see if it's worth trading Cripps out for lambert at the beginning of R4

        medadsson · 10/04/2015 at 19:54

Thanks to Lekdog and all others advocating against a trade. Sense has prevailed, my panic has passed πŸ™‚ Cripps retained.

jock · 10/04/2015 at 18:58

to trade KK for rich ? thoiughts community, this would bring saad from idfield to backline

    Dave · 12/04/2015 at 06:22

good move, wouldn't have had thumper to start with, but rich is a big mover. The trousers are stretching.

jmy7 · 10/04/2015 at 19:04

those with bloody dom sheed like me, i had him on the bench, now with cripps out do i put him on or heeney??? decisions decisions. would love your thoughts lekdog

Tony · 10/04/2015 at 19:08

I’m normally very reluctant to trade after week 1 unless I have a LTI in my side. I’m a little worried however as I have Bartel, Lamb and Bellchambers in my forward line. The first two are out and the reports about TBC being sore concern me. I also see that McKernan was upgraded from rookie list and is named as emergency. As it’s one of the last games of the round I can’t really take a wait and see approach as I’ll have few options to trade to. I don’t want to eat a doughnut but I don’t want to trade unnecessarily. Thoughts? Am I just being paranoid?

    Jacob · 10/04/2015 at 19:18

Keep Lamb as the rookies prices won't change until they have played 3. Lambert plays this weekend so have a look at him and even wait until after rd 3 before making a swap of Lamb for Lambert. I think you should also hold onto TBC as he makes for very good ruck cover and you could possibly be burning a total of two trades if you trade him out now. As for Bartel hold if you think one of your rookies could replace him

    Richard · 10/04/2015 at 19:36

TBC trained today…i doubt he will be a late withdrawal…why train someone with a sore knee???

      Tony · 10/04/2015 at 19:48

Thanks Richard. I wasn't aware that he had trained today. That gives me more hope!

    Jambo · 10/04/2015 at 20:01

TBC has just been reported as fine and will play this week. Bench Lamb and Bartel. Hold mate. Sometimes, you just have to take the 0's to score big later on. No, you are not being paranoid.

      Tony · 10/04/2015 at 22:03

      Cheers Jambo.

Paul · 10/04/2015 at 19:11

I missed vanderberg but have Cripps and Sinclair from saints and miller at the Suns. Which one should I trade, or shall I hold for a week?

Nick · 10/04/2015 at 19:14

Cripps to Lamert?? Or just hold

    Mitch · 10/04/2015 at 19:28

    HOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gobbledoks Pride · 10/04/2015 at 19:17

Not happy with my teams start for Round 1 with a terrible start to the season scored 1988 (1st mistake of season made by Gobbledoks Pride by making Griffen captain insead of Ablett) and with Bartell and Deledio out this week I may loss more ground if I don't do something drastic! My thinking is I'm already probably about 150 points off where I need to be (to compete for overall ranking!) so I am gambling with two side ways trades on premiums trying to get some points back from last round! Anyone else thinking the same ???????????????????

    Jambo · 10/04/2015 at 20:03

1988 is still a decent score for last week mate.

Jason · 10/04/2015 at 19:22

Does anyone think Jed Anderson could escape sub vest this week with O'rourke playing???

    Tony · 10/04/2015 at 19:36

I think O'Rourke will get vest.

    Riley · 11/04/2015 at 20:15

O'Rourke is almost certainly gonna cop the vest! Expect Anderson to take Liam Shiels role through the midfield!

Paul · 10/04/2015 at 19:23

Cripps a late out., i already have CEY, heeney, vandenberg and touk. Hold or trade and if so who do i trade to?

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 19:26

    hold

    Seb · 10/04/2015 at 19:35

My trade button had already been clicked

      Tulendeena · 10/04/2015 at 19:39

And your reverse trades button hasn't yet?

        Seb · 10/04/2015 at 19:56

        That's right

    Gobbledoks Pride · 11/04/2015 at 08:35

Hold until R2 for rookie correction time, I'm thinking!!

Chris · 10/04/2015 at 19:27

Ok community thoughts..

1. Don't have vandeberg in my side. do i trade him for cripps.
2. Hold for now, swap robbie gray into my mids for lambert, put cripps on the bench for this week and keep him. Then put jesse hogan onto the field instead of lambert..

    LEKD0G · 10/04/2015 at 19:28

    hold cripps for this week

      eatemalive · 10/04/2015 at 19:33

      agree

Mitch · 10/04/2015 at 19:29

EVERYONE HOLD ONTO YOUR ROOKIES!!!

throttlefinger · 10/04/2015 at 19:42

As Lek told me…don't bring in a rook before their bubble.

Wise words we all must heed…especially those who are trade trigger happy like myself.

    OldOcker · 11/04/2015 at 02:21

G'day throttle, I joined DT last year just to solve the itchy trade finger problem, You can do it twice every week just to keep yourself satisfied. I have been criticised for saying don't bring in a rookie until the bubble many times but I still stick to my beliefs which have proven me correct.

      throttlefinger · 11/04/2015 at 02:57

Hahaha! Well said. And I think it's sound advice. Just one of those gems of wisdoms that get lost once selections are made and people are surprise last-minute outs.

Crouching Two · 10/04/2015 at 19:43

BANG BANG BANG

BCHawks · 10/04/2015 at 19:46

Just traded Maric to Leunburger and Cripps to Rich. Am I mad?

    medadsson · 10/04/2015 at 19:56

Hope it works for you even if you are stark, raving … πŸ™‚

      BCHawks · 10/04/2015 at 20:01

Yer I really hope it works my reasoning behind the trades is that Maric had 33 HO for only 82 points where as leuy had 25 HO for 96 points.

Cripps looked terrible last week and with Rockliff out Rich will play more mid time so hopefully he can average 95+.

I wasn't planning on trading this week but with Cripps a late out I decided to and anyway we have 30 trades what bad is it loosing 2 of them.

    throttlefinger · 10/04/2015 at 19:59

    Yes. EXTREMELY.

But go with SC Gods, my friend. Hope they reward you.

      BCHawks · 10/04/2015 at 20:06

      Thanks Throttlefinger!

        JDogg · 11/04/2015 at 06:41

i go against the general consensus on this board in relation to trades. I like to use a few upfront and get my structures correct and then attempt to hold through to the bye rounds before making the midseason adjustments.

    Gobbledoks Pride · 11/04/2015 at 07:45

Just be cautious with RICH he really cant handle a tag at all!! I'm a mad Lions supporter with Rockliff, and Handley OUT and Beams pretty much un taggable they will go to RICH for shore! Supercoach is all about risks that's how its won and lost!

      BCHawks · 11/04/2015 at 08:35

I recon they will tag Zorko before Rich if they Don't tag Beams.

Paule · 10/04/2015 at 19:47

ok with Bartel out do i start with J.Lonie or C.Salem in my fwd line?
and which 3 in my mids out of Heeney, Ellis Yolmen, T.Miller, J.anderson, and K.Lambert?
cheers community

    throttlefinger · 10/04/2015 at 20:01

You can loop Salem and Lonie. Keep Bartel in, put the EMG on Salem. If he doesn't fire (70+), slot in Lonie. But games are close so you'll have to act quickly.

Heeney, CEY and Lambert (unless he gets vest…then Miller).

shayne · 10/04/2015 at 19:49

What are peoples thoughts on young Brayshaw not alot of talk about him

    jacob · 10/04/2015 at 22:57

I’m surprised there’s not a lot of talk about him. If you can lay 9 tackles and score 86 SC points from 3/4 of footy in your first afl match you have to be some player. I’m very likely to bring him in next week. For either lamb or miller.

      bog · 10/04/2015 at 23:36

way too expensive for a 1st year rookie mate.

        rowdy · 11/04/2015 at 08:53

then why do people have Cripps

          CrackersFC · 11/04/2015 at 11:49

because he’s not really a first year rookie and has been in the system for 2 yrs. bigger body, older more ready for the AFL than an 18 yr old kid

rowdy · 10/04/2015 at 19:54

Im trading Rockliff but who out of Beams or Lewis

    Sulzeer · 10/04/2015 at 19:57

Lewis was the POD, but since rocky went down and Lewis had a huge score in round 1, Beams is probably the POD now

    daniel · 10/04/2015 at 19:59

Lewis is the business this year in a cleally better side, will have more opportunity to go big

    throttlefinger · 10/04/2015 at 20:08

Can't go wrong with either. Plus and cons are fairly even. Lewis on better team so more points. Rocky out means could be more points for Beams. Gut call, my man.

      rowdy · 10/04/2015 at 20:39

      Thanks guys happy supercoaching

Motsy · 10/04/2015 at 19:54

Guys what do we think about Wallis in his new role?

    Redgumwon · 12/04/2015 at 12:17

Love Wallis in his new role. I took a punt on him and he was in my team before round 1. It's has turned out very well for me so far. He's also a great POD player and will get me into a premium down the track

Sulzeer · 10/04/2015 at 19:55

Having trouble with defence, who do I play thumper or saad?

    Motsy · 10/04/2015 at 19:56

    Thumper.

      Sulzeer · 10/04/2015 at 20:01

That's where I'm swaying but if he has a ordinary game like last week and saad has another high score, won't be happy

        Choices · 10/04/2015 at 20:02

Gotta back your cash investments, thumper is there for a reason, Saad is there as a best effort

          JDogg · 11/04/2015 at 06:38

i have traded out thumper and moved Saad in to my starting line up. Risky i know however i saw enough last week to move my structure to 2 rooks at the back. This saves me $200k which i can use to upgrade either Cripps or Salem next week.

            Crowls · 11/04/2015 at 09:43

perfectly fine strategy and one that has crossed my mind. however the two years I have played I have traded too much. year 1 cause I didnt do any research and know better. Year two because of ruck debacle. All the wise men say DO NOT TRADE before the Bubble and then only corrective trades for LTI and missing playing rookies.

Choices · 10/04/2015 at 20:01

Bont + Wines VS JPK + Wallis

    Sulzeer · 10/04/2015 at 20:03

I'd be going JPK as the proven premo.. Must be other options over Wallis

Bob · 10/04/2015 at 20:09

Should I put sheer on the field?

    Bob · 10/04/2015 at 20:09

    Sheed?

      Tulendeena · 10/04/2015 at 21:57

      over who?
      Kinda irrelevant now anyway

dognino · 10/04/2015 at 20:44

Nic Nat on 44 points at Qtr time. Rucks are not dead

    dognino · 10/04/2015 at 22:58

Nic Nat finished with 103 and lycett 96. Thought the scores are fairly reflective of their games, not many possessions between them , thought Nic Nat did a lot of positive stuff that you just don't get points for, impacted some contests , some spoils and shepherds , looks good on field and good team stuff, but doesn't translate to SC points.

      carlashirley90 · 11/04/2015 at 01:43

I will take 95 avg from Nic Nat all year with these current scores due to new ruck scoring rules

        Locked and Loaded · 11/04/2015 at 11:25

Ruck scoring will be just as other years wait and see. If I am wrong I'll deserve all the criticism I get

      Gobbledoks Pride · 11/04/2015 at 08:42

Nic Nat ruck work was awesome compared to lycett really cant work out how the hell they pretty much scored the same!!

        Dognino · 11/04/2015 at 12:24

Nic Nat wasn't getting any points for the follow up work he was doing, getting points for the hit out, but nothing for the shepherd or the following tap to a player, if he got his hands on it and ha balled out of those contest he would end up with another 10 possessions, but he always taps it out of a contest so gets nothing. Great example was one of the last goals where he contested the mark from behind, turned and jumped on the ground ball with two opposition on his back and squeezed a tap out to a team mate who kicked the goal, he got 1 SC point for that play. Great team play, but nothing for SC. If he had of got hands on it and handballed he would have had the contested possession and a goal assist.

demon · 10/04/2015 at 23:13

Bit of a joke that the scaling rewards judd and yarran for not turning up after half time.
barely had a touch between them 2nd half and yet they both crack the ton due to first qtr efforts

    carlashirley90 · 11/04/2015 at 01:48

Lol I have been saying this since round one
Take a look at the game wher mids have got 19-22 posies and they get 100+ SC points

This is the smoking gun that Ruck scores this year are real not myth.

Think of SC every game is a piece of pie, Rucks new scoring rules would have it that they gets less of that pie.
More pie for everyone who is not a Ruckman then you see whole picture.

    Warm apple pie

The Ranger · 10/04/2015 at 23:15

Shit.
I may have seriously overestimated how good Carlton were gonna be this season.
And I'm a Collingwood fan.

James · 10/04/2015 at 23:44

Trading out Rockliff obviously and his replacement is out of Pendles, Beams, JPK and PARKER. Who to go??

    Crowls · 11/04/2015 at 09:47

    1. pendles
    2. JPK/Beams

TheCompletePackage · 10/04/2015 at 23:47

Q: Why don't you trade out rookies after a poor R1?
A: Dom Sheed
#stickfat #backyourselfin

WombatsFC · 10/04/2015 at 23:50

wtf! Jamison get 10 kicked on him but still scores 53 in SC. Weighting is a scam

    @Aurnen23Jordan · 11/04/2015 at 00:38

Rowe played on Kennedy for much of the game too dude and there is only so much weighting that can be applied without plainly rorting someone's score.

      Linford Shulman · 11/04/2015 at 10:06

Have to disagree with you wombat, according to champion data Rowe played on Kennedy 68% and Jamison 32%

Trab Pukcip · 11/04/2015 at 09:05

If ever sideways trading was proven to be pointless, a nice little example last night! Was tossing up trading Johnson for McGovern last night. Resisted the temptation. Would've burnt a trade for a score of 70 odd. Pointless!! Listen to the community stalwarts when they say don't sideways trade!!

    Poker · 11/04/2015 at 09:24

And what if you'd gone Docherty?

      Trab Pukcip · 11/04/2015 at 21:45

Considering he scored what 90 and taking into account I wouldn't get his 140 from last week, if Johnson scores anywhere near 70-90 its a win isn't it? How much is a trade worth to you??

    Frank · 11/04/2015 at 10:19

I downgraded Bartel to Docherty. I've been quoted saying he will be top 10 defender and he showed why last night. Also need $300K in the kitty to make Blicavs R3 in case TBC is a late out, so hand was forced. I know Bartel is top 10 forward but having been ruled out by his neurosurgeon after brain scans left me playing safe. Martin get's a 2nd chance now. C'mon Dusty!!

Sully321 · 11/04/2015 at 09:55

Who to put the c on gray, Fyfe, pendles, parker or wines?

    Linford Shulman · 11/04/2015 at 10:04

Wines, he loved the hard stuff and would be a very solid pick, although risky he is the real thing,

Mark · 11/04/2015 at 09:59

Just a quick question, but would you go Brodie Smith or Luke Hodge down back?

    Linford Shulman · 11/04/2015 at 10:02

    Luke hodge, more consistent

      demon · 11/04/2015 at 10:08

although if going for overall, not leagues, hodge is likely to be "managed" throughout the year and miss a game or two games to be ripe for finals

Mark · 11/04/2015 at 10:15

Thanks boys, much appreciated

Mac · 11/04/2015 at 11:15

Lambert or Heeney on field and if the answer is Heeney, Lambert or Hogan

    Locked and Loaded · 11/04/2015 at 11:26

Mac Lambert is a little bit of an unknown it's his first game and may cop the vest but who knows. I'd personally go Hogan and Heeney

Locked and Loaded · 11/04/2015 at 11:27

Rockliff OUT do I go for Pendles and less cash or JPK and more cash? Stumped

    Tulendeena · 11/04/2015 at 12:07

    Definitely Pendles

Rick · 11/04/2015 at 12:01

Vandanberg is starting on the bench, yoleman is starting on the bench. Lambert is starting on-field…. My onfield rookies in the midfield are Heeney and Lambert. 0 percent likelihood of the vest. Get on them!

    geoff · 11/04/2015 at 13:05

being named on-field doesn't make you immune from starting with the vest

Jai · 11/04/2015 at 12:20

Was Cripps from Carlton a late withdraw or was never listed

    eatemalive · 11/04/2015 at 12:43

Yes he was a late withdrawl – crook back

    Jdogg · 11/04/2015 at 12:43

Late withdrawal. Back injury I think.

Paule · 11/04/2015 at 12:22

any news on who the subs are for todays games yet?

tom · 11/04/2015 at 12:30

GOODES HAS BEEN NAMED SUB

    tom · 11/04/2015 at 12:32

what do I do with him? only have 11k

    jacob · 11/04/2015 at 12:33

I’m gonna upgrade him to Geary right now. If a player is named sub at 245k then he doesn’t warrant a place in our teams.

      SCaddict · 11/04/2015 at 12:38

I think that's a pretty reasonable idea Jacob, if you are fortunate to have the cash available.

        eatemalive · 11/04/2015 at 12:40

He also might on the on field in the 1st minute, I'm gunna hold and maybe bring Brown off the bench – maybe a 50 from him ?

          SCaddict · 11/04/2015 at 13:10

Yeah if you don't have an extra $90K to upgrade to Geary you are probably best holding on and see what happens as there aren't really any attractive downgrade options as you already have Brown and no doubt Saad and McIntosh already.

            Locked and Loaded · 11/04/2015 at 13:14

Isn't it too risky to have Mcintosh Saad and Brown all on field. I have Oxley and Corr on my bench thety may be suitable replacements for goodes for this week. I say hold and re assess nrext week after some of my fingers got so close to the little red T haha

        Jacob · 11/04/2015 at 12:42

Im only doing it because im sure i will need a couple of other corrective trades next week (possibly cripps, Lamb or Miller)
And i know its risky but i have downgraded Maric to Luey to get the cash. Im confident Luey can average 85+ and will be almost a straight swap for a top 2 ruck by round 10.

Zak · 11/04/2015 at 12:44

Which two do you think I should have on field out of these three rookies in the forward line?

Salem, Hogan, Lambert

Bit worried that Lambert could get subbed off, but same worry with some of the melbourne rookies.

    eatemalive · 11/04/2015 at 12:53

I'm waiting to see who gets the vest for GWS v Demons and then I will decide final benches ect – the Vest is the biggest pain in the arse for SC ,it's a raffle !

      Northernsoul74 · 11/04/2015 at 13:08

Brayshaw is Melbourne sub, Wilson for gws.

Ryan K · 11/04/2015 at 12:53

Worth trading Goodes down to Nathan Brown this week?

I'm only starting Macintosh and Saad, with Oxley on the bench also.

Frees up 100k and a chance at another corrective next week.

Thoughts?

    jacob · 11/04/2015 at 13:04

    Good idea I reckon.

      Locked and Loaded · 11/04/2015 at 13:09

I'm trading him to Roberton from the saints good JS and pretty much sideways hopefully sees a lot of the ball at the back for the saints

      Ryan K · 11/04/2015 at 13:10

I really didn't want to make any trades this week, especially seeing how I have been advocating it all week and I always run out of trades, but with Cripps as well I feel as though I may have more than 2 trades that I want to make next week.

Also at 245k I can't justify holding him when his BE is 1 and he is the sub in round 2. It is starting to look more and more likely that he will be out of the dogs line up sooner rather than later.

Jdogg · 11/04/2015 at 13:00

I know this has been done to death but I can’t see it. What price is a 100 average player?p

    Donavan · 11/04/2015 at 13:06

    I think it was $503k

    SCaddict · 11/04/2015 at 13:14

At the start of the season it was $537,500.

Buddy who had an average of 99.95 last season is priced at $537,200 this season.

      The_Kraken · 11/04/2015 at 13:25

Bang on. FWIW, the "magic number" (currently 5375) decreases slightly during the season to accommodate the scoring and price rises from rookies – should fall around around 3% or so over the season (less than the 7-8% decrease we saw when GC and GWS joined the comp in their first years) – so a 100-averaging player should be ~$520-525k in several rounds' time, but right now would be as SCaddict says…

Tuk · 11/04/2015 at 13:14

Vandenberg or Newton on the ground?

Rambo's Radish · 11/04/2015 at 13:15

Brett Goodes named as sub!
Wondering whether i should trade him out for maybe a Nathan Brown.
My defence currently looks like
H. Shaw, J. Newnes, H. Taylor, K, Kolodjashnij, B. Goodes, K. Mcintosh (A. Saad, A. Oxley)

Also wondering who should be emergency for my mids with Cripps a late withdrawal.
Have vandenberg, Ellis-Yolmen, Heeney, Newton and Cockatoo with 3 needing to be on field.

thoughts?

    JRamsay · 11/04/2015 at 13:16

Also if i didn't trade Goodes, then who should i place on the field out of him and Saad?

      Dustbin Feltchers · 12/04/2015 at 09:23

captain hindsight says put oxley on field for goodes…welcome

    Jdogg · 11/04/2015 at 13:21

Saad in for Goodes. Hold him until after the weekend at least. Heeney is a solid option for sub although that is a strong bench in general. FYI I am starting CEY and Heeney Nd vandenberg is my emergency for Cripps (who will be gone from my team next week upgraded to Rich if he performs).

      Rambo's Radish · 11/04/2015 at 13:34

      Sounds like a plan Jdogg!
      thanks heaps

eatemalive · 11/04/2015 at 13:17

Brayshaw – sub for Demons, Wilson – sub for GWS

Levi · 11/04/2015 at 13:18

Hold or trade Goodes? I have got Saad and Oxley on the bench and McIntosh at D6. Only have $36,900 in the war chest. Is it worth downgrading down to Nathan Brown? I feel like I might need those two extra corrective trades for next week

    Jdogg · 11/04/2015 at 13:22

Saad is perfectly good cover. Save the trade. No benefit there.

Choices · 11/04/2015 at 13:23

Who do we think is most likely to cop the rest vest from vandenberg, newton, salem and hogan?

    CJay · 11/04/2015 at 13:33

Angus Brayshaw is sub for Melbourne

      CJay · 11/04/2015 at 13:34

ah red vest hmm ..difficult one lets hope none of them

    dognino · 11/04/2015 at 13:38

Hopefully none, I'm starting Newton and vandenberg in my mids, a lot can happen in a game, if someone goes down injured the rookies won't cop the red vest

Brett · 11/04/2015 at 13:32

G'day community, quick question…who in peoples opinions will be the number 1 defender this year ? might be mad, but with Gibson playing a more freewheeling role , I think he could hit top 3?

Goodes in 26.9% of teams, spanner in the works price wise, holding this week im assuming …

cracker start to the year, poor winged gaz , inflated ruck prices… everyones gotta be on top of their game

    Derek · 11/04/2015 at 14:13

    Simpson will average 100+

    He is super consistent

    Leon · 11/04/2015 at 17:21

Gibson already a late withdraw with soreness. Would not touch a hwaks player outside of Anderson and lewis. already a worry with resting

Me too. It might cost me wins in both leagues. Jaksch and Hambling on bench this week.

Bluetackle · 11/04/2015 at 16:29

Have to seriously consider the bont hes showing no signs other than tearing games apart bloody gun

dognino · 11/04/2015 at 16:33

Big comeback from mummy, 4 SC points at qtr time, on 97 half way through the last

    Marco_Polo94 · 11/04/2015 at 16:57

Might just be enough for me to not trade him now. imagine his score if he had a half decent first quarter

      dognino · 11/04/2015 at 17:04

At qtr time I was thinking of who I can downgrade him to, to then upgrade Cripps to the Bont , will be keeping mummy now, lol. And good comeback from griffen too, no correctives for me, haha

    dognino · 11/04/2015 at 17:08

Jacobs 41 and Grundy 39 at qtr time, rucks can definitly still score

Marco_Polo94 · 11/04/2015 at 16:56

Take Griffen's 114 as captain or Gray or fyfe?

    dognino · 11/04/2015 at 17:05

I'd go fyfe, although 115 could be last years 125 for loophole this early in the season

    Peter Dale · 11/04/2015 at 17:52

    130 rule.

PJay · 11/04/2015 at 17:10

Dustin Martin 139!! And my opponent has him as vice captain with the loophole. DOH!

Klavo · 11/04/2015 at 17:26

Ok community do we take Hogan’s 86 or roll the dice with Mitch Clark? I’m thinking of taking the 86

    Tulendeena · 11/04/2015 at 17:29

    Take the 86

    Leon · 11/04/2015 at 17:42

    take the 86

    Klavo · 11/04/2015 at 17:43

    Done!

Klavo · 11/04/2015 at 17:29

Pies blues saints or dees for the wooden spoon guys? I’m thinking saints just

    Mike · 12/04/2015 at 09:16

    Saints last, Carlton second last.

    SideBySidebottom · 12/04/2015 at 19:19

Surely Brisbane's firmly in the mix.

Tulendeena · 11/04/2015 at 17:30

I'm thinking for next round

Cripps – Van Berlo
Ablett – The Bont

    Leon · 11/04/2015 at 17:42

wait till you see gaz tonight but I like them….

Leon · 11/04/2015 at 17:33

looking forward a week. Lamb and lambert are worries, But my biggest headache is cripps. Hold or trade to van berlo?

    Danners16 · 11/04/2015 at 18:16

You would be dumb to trade NVB with 71 Supercoach points to half time

      Tyler · 11/04/2015 at 19:00

He said trade TO van Berlo

tom · 11/04/2015 at 17:49

oxley looking good!

should I go Goodes to Oxley or Hamling to Oxley?

goodes being the sub has really messed with my team

    Peter Dale · 11/04/2015 at 17:54

    goodes to Oxley

    Tulendeena · 11/04/2015 at 17:58

I'm not sure that goodes will appreciate with a 10, and it will stick around for another round

I would be going goodes to oxley

    Danners16 · 11/04/2015 at 18:12

Gotta go Goodes to Oxley if Goodes is the starting sub, I doubt a key defender will start as the sub

    SCDonkey · 11/04/2015 at 18:20

Picked Brown on field over Oxley… kicking myself at the moment.

      Marco_Polo94 · 11/04/2015 at 20:01

      same πŸ™

    @TylerCArmstrong · 11/04/2015 at 18:23

    goodes to oxley

judd0 · 11/04/2015 at 17:53

I hope the 2,650 people that traded out Fend-off Martin this week feel like absolute geese.
Stick with your premiums, especially after round 1. But we already knew that didn't we community.

    Danners16 · 11/04/2015 at 18:26

Just remember, this is one of 22 games judd. He could either go 110+ or below 90 for the rest of the season and make you feel like absolute geese.

      judd0 · 11/04/2015 at 19:08

You missed the point mate, you don't trade out a premium after round one off one bad performance. I didn't ever mention him averaging anything so i don't know how I'm the goose.

        Crowmagnon · 12/04/2015 at 09:28

I put the VC on Dusty this round. Never trade out premiums after 1 game!

Josh · 11/04/2015 at 17:56

decisions decisions, take Griffens 114 or put C on Gaz, Fyfe, Gray, or Lewis.
I'm tempted by Lewis

    @TylerCArmstrong · 11/04/2015 at 18:22

    c on fyfe

      SideBySidebottom · 12/04/2015 at 19:38

      Now that was great advice,

    judd0 · 11/04/2015 at 19:10

If you are going for league wins. Have a look at your opponent, if it looks like he is going to beat you then you need to take a risk and go for it. If you look like your going to win stick with Griffen.
Unless your going for the 50k then you also have to take the risk.

Nash · 11/04/2015 at 18:07

Is the BONT now a must have. Another 120+ score??

    judd0 · 11/04/2015 at 19:11

It looks a little that way. I'll be waiting to see what his breakeven is and have a look at the doggies early draw.
But your right, he looks brilliant.

      carlashirley90 · 11/04/2015 at 22:27

Never mind how much money he will make you before price changes, the real question is what will he average for the rest of the year? Is he going to get you 105-115 average from the moment you trade him in.

      Something to think about

    ThCompletePackag · 12/04/2015 at 02:03

No. He's 19 and it's a long season. Plus teams will work him out.

    SideBySidebottom · 12/04/2015 at 19:42

I'd say definitely not as a Midfielder, but as a Forward option it appears you could do worse as an upgrade. Time will tell.

Klavo · 11/04/2015 at 18:14

Happy with my choice to get rid of Goodes before today’s game! Subs have ruined fantasy footy unfortunately

Hugh · 11/04/2015 at 18:16

Gibson not playing tomorrow. Oxley isn’t my emergency. Spewing

    judd0 · 11/04/2015 at 19:13

    I'll be taking Goodesies 10……………..
Also have Oxley on the pine not as emergency.

@TylerCArmstrong · 11/04/2015 at 18:21

Do you guys think both Walker and Bontempelli will end up in the top 6 fwds?

    Josh · 11/04/2015 at 18:30

    Bont -Yes
    Walker – possibly

    shezza · 11/04/2015 at 20:54

Bont, touch and go, I’d say top 8-10, Walker – no. He will beat up on the less nimble defenders. I posted earlier in the week Frost goes ok on these types. He did the job on Buddy last week.

      judd0 · 12/04/2015 at 09:46

      Buddy played Essendon………

Rick Grimes · 11/04/2015 at 18:36

If I have Oxley as E, and I have a non playing reserve yet to play, if I swap him in for Ibbottson, will I get Oxley’s score? I’m working on the assumption Ox is gonna score pretty well.

    Brett · 11/04/2015 at 18:39

you need a player on the ground that isn't playing, they will incur a zero and u get your emergency, Oxley's score

    Disco · 11/04/2015 at 18:51

    I did exactly that

Klavo · 11/04/2015 at 18:39

Paddy!!!

yeh i did with every other department other than ruck, happy i kept dusty not to bad as jacobs will probably lose value

bailey · 11/04/2015 at 19:14

Should I take dangerfields 103 as vc or try grey or fyfe

    Mitch · 11/04/2015 at 19:21

    fyfe

      SideBySidebottom · 12/04/2015 at 19:46

      Great advice.

    103 from danger

Should cash in sloanes 129 or roll the dice on Ablett?
Cheers

    Mitch · 11/04/2015 at 19:20

    cash in

Craig · 11/04/2015 at 19:21

Would it be a good idea to take martins 139 as vice captain and put Naismith on the ground as captain.

    Riley · 11/04/2015 at 20:11

Yeah man, take the 139 any day of the week!

    Disco · 11/04/2015 at 20:34

    yes

Mitch · 11/04/2015 at 19:23

lol at the people who traded out Griffen and D. Martin this week

    Disco · 11/04/2015 at 21:37

I would never have martin anyway, enjoy the ride to a 50k loss

      NJEMERZ · 11/04/2015 at 22:09

Not really going to lose much if any! 51 plus 139 = 190, to keep his price he needs a to average 100, all he needs is 110 to BE which he could easily do against a battered Brisbane midfield . As his 139 will be valued twice where as his 51 only once, should hold his price πŸ™‚

        Locked and Loaded · 12/04/2015 at 20:39

        Disco you're kidding right

B-Mac · 11/04/2015 at 19:38

Early doors but I think Ablett has gotta go. Looks as though he's come back to the pack, and on that basis, is not worth the spend.

    Brett · 11/04/2015 at 21:19

have to agree as painful as it is to the little master !!! nearing the end of the third quarter , 0 tackles and 3 contested possessions… he has no confidence in the shoulder or getting into the contest.

have to think with the head and not the heart & part ways in the interim…. missed out on the bont initially ! the trade to him or wines frees up 300k and 200k, which after rises , could be another 150k swing !!

sad to see the little master winged

    Spifflicator · 11/04/2015 at 22:56

Traded him this week. He couldn't tackle and looks very restricted, must go.

    judd0 · 12/04/2015 at 14:18

He literally hasn't laid a tackle in both games this year. It's clearly not right, also the Suns aren't exactly in good form.

Riley · 11/04/2015 at 20:12

What scores are everyone else on? Atm im 1402 with 14 players played, Captain still to play!

    Frank · 11/04/2015 at 23:13

1986 Captain played – Lewis Fyfe Clark and TBC left

Disco · 11/04/2015 at 20:42

id still take 1 arm ablett at metricon vs gray or fyffe this week. yes he costs a lot but I don't want to be hunting both gaz
and rockliff in a month odd!!

    Locked and Loaded · 12/04/2015 at 20:41

That disco I can agree with

    starz · 12/04/2015 at 20:47

lol…. maybe gray but not fyffe. pendles VC and fyffe C for me next week. looks like the premo rucks are back

Dustbin Feltchers · 11/04/2015 at 20:59

big thanks to the fan footy and afl website today…why did u decide to shit yourself and freeze the stats in the last quarter?? i was left with pendles (my vc) on 89 dt points ..that could be 70 or 130 sc points…l will now end up with robbie grays captain score..rather than pendles 126. DOH!!

    Leighroy · 12/04/2015 at 00:56

Will only cost you 10 points in total not the worst result

Tyler · 11/04/2015 at 21:24

I tell ya what all those people saying 'Hold' before the start of the round are were all too right. Glad I came to my senses and DIDN'T trade out Newnes or Griffen. Cheers guys!

KJU FC · 11/04/2015 at 22:07

Ablett…

trade or hold?

he will drop so much in price but we will have to waste 2/3 trades getting him back…

headaches

    Tulendeena · 11/04/2015 at 22:16

    I'm trading him for sure

The point loss will be substantial enough, and he will be dirt cheap to pick back up

    WebSpyda · 11/04/2015 at 22:36

Lol you saw him last week and you still have him????
I traded down to Lewis immediately. Then to Bont and then back to Lewis ………………. time will tell

      Dean · 12/04/2015 at 21:35

I don't understand you. You traded GAJ to LEWIS ok got that and fair call, then you got the Bont which is cool. But what do you mean by "then back to Lewis"?

Ben · 11/04/2015 at 22:19

Community, need help!!

Who to trade cripps for:

Rich or the Bont

    WebSpyda · 11/04/2015 at 22:35

    Bont! IMOOC

    @mysterycannon · 11/04/2015 at 23:04

If you can afford him, the Bont looks like the better. Could see him as top 8 forward. Couldn't see Rich as top 10 mid.

bailey · 11/04/2015 at 22:22

Giving Minson the flick, I’m thinking nic nat??

    WebSpyda · 11/04/2015 at 22:34

      I will in 24 hours

WebSpyda · 11/04/2015 at 22:22

I am taking Shiels 149 as Vice and have slipped the cap to Read on ground with Lycetts 96 as my emergency
Love the Loophole!!

    WebSpyda · 11/04/2015 at 22:39

Also love the mid price ruck choice I went with. Nic Lycett and Bell
If Bell has and issue it is an easy fix to Luey

    Spifflicator · 11/04/2015 at 23:00

    Nice!

carlashirley90 · 11/04/2015 at 22:22

Plz help bird in hand style R.Gray 112 or take punt on Lewis or Fyfe?

My head saying play safe this round

On another note rookies look flimsy

    Stickman · 11/04/2015 at 22:34

I usually take 120+ as a vc score. So I would personally take a punt on Fyfe.

    Donavan · 11/04/2015 at 22:39

I like Lewis to out score 112.

On the rookies, I disagree. I have Hogan, Heeney, McIntosh, Oxley, Lonie, Adam Saad, Vandenberg, and Miller.

Miller would be the only rookie that has scored a little low, but I don't expect a heap from my rookies, just a stepping stone to better players.

    WebSpyda · 11/04/2015 at 22:40

    Get a coin
    Lewis or Fyfe for me!
    112 is not enough IMO

      Locked and Loaded · 12/04/2015 at 20:43

Lewis or Fyfe lol Fyfe is miles ahead of Lewis. He will be a rollercoaster ride in my opinion

    the sprinkler · 12/04/2015 at 18:41

considering fyfe will avge 125-130 this year i would not take a VC less than 120 πŸ™‚

Spifflicator · 11/04/2015 at 22:58

Take Saads 75 as emergency (stk) and bench Clark? Or run with the big guy?

    Rambo's Radish · 11/04/2015 at 23:16

    Take it son!
With Bartel and Motlop out I don't think Geelong will have as many entries into the forward half, causing Mitch Clark to get less of the pill resulting in less supercoach points!

Brett · 11/04/2015 at 22:58

wish I pulled the trigger !

@mysterycannon · 11/04/2015 at 23:02

Any more info on the Bellchambers rumour?? Heard whispers about McKernan not playing VFL today.

My league games look like it'll come down to whether TBC plays or not…

Dean · 11/04/2015 at 23:10

The God of AFL & SC alike is GONSKI for mine.

I was never going to put GAJ in my team but decided to at the last minute which I regret doing obviously.

I watched the whole game and im afraid to say it but GAJ was not going in for the ball, didn't tackle a sole, he had 23 possessions but very few were contested, he doesn't look good at all.

My gut tells me MUST GO to be honest I hate to admit it but when your talking 734k he could quite easily drop to $500k by round 10 or so. If im spending 734k you wan't that peace of mind of slapping the Captain or at the very least Vice Captain on him with out the stress, the way he is you cannot even feel comfortable putting the VC on the great man.

I know many will NOT agree with me here but I respect everyone's opinions, so its all GOOD.
Personally for me It's a huge concern because I honestly think it's quite possible GAJ will only score between 80 to 120 for at least the next 8 games, now whether that score increases as his confidence builds up maybe, who knows.

Lets face it the SUNS as a team were not great tonight PERIOD but so far they played (Melbourne & St Kilda) which you would think were bottom 4 teams. Tonight GAZ struggled with Geary's tag big time but his lack of tackles and tough play that he is renowned for seems to be diminishing, he was much harder for the ball last week then tonight no doubt, that's a serious concern.
I ask myself did he tweak his shoulder slightly last week and maybe that's why he didn't go hard at it tonight, but then I think surely if that were the case they wouldn't risk playing him. Bloody hell SURELY…

My other huge concern is what if they play GAJ up in the half forward line most of this season, don't discard this as I think it could happen.

It will be very interesting to see if they rest GAJ next week. I cannot believe I'm saying it, but if GAJ is playing against Geelong I'm afraid I will be pulling the trigger 100% sure on that…

Sorry but on another topic, I believe Bontempelli is the REAL deal, I think at $422k he is a must get for those who have the TOP rookies and can afford him.

    carlashirley90 · 11/04/2015 at 23:24

Sure won't help if Gold Coast keeps playing Like I do.

I agree with what you are saying and I expect a never before seen trade out on Ablett after this round.
Question is will he ever be an option later in the year to trade back in? If he is sitting on say 100 average after byes that won't look good except for teams needing to fill M7-8 with a cheap option.

    Wow!

      Dean · 11/04/2015 at 23:43

That's the problem It's that serious, if it was a player who had previous injuries then its easier but at this point it's a guessing game. I really didn't like how he avoided as much contact as possible and NO tackles at all that I seen although I stand to be corrected on that as he may of made 1 tackle but I was watching him like a hawk and it didn't look good.

At this point im thinking there is a 60/40 chance that he might not be worth bringing back in, I mean once I get rid of him and if he goes and scores a 160 there's no way he'll be coming back into my side unless I see consistent 110+

I made up my mind after watching the game that its something I have to do. I hope he starts playing like he used to ASAP and scoring huge scores even once I get rid of him.

    bUCKET__ · 11/04/2015 at 23:45

Mate, I am in exactly the same boat as you. And feel the same way!

I'm seeing a $150k price drop for Gaz at least; he was just floating around play, looked slow and hesitant. With a dwindling support cast, even the best in the business will struggle if he's not getting it himself. Spent a fair bit of time in the back and fwd half tonight. Not sure he'll be 100% for a long while.

The Bont ripped through the eagles placid midfield and wasn't given much attention by the tiges. He is running right through the guts but I worry what will happen to his output once he's given some real attention. Scooter actually tagged him well for much of Rd1, and while it looked like he broke the leash in the last, it turns out Selwood's dodgy ankle was part to blame. Food for thought!

      Dean · 11/04/2015 at 23:57

I understand where your coming from but even while getting tagged he will average minimum 85 to 90 easily. Even with Selwoods tag he managed 10 tackles, he is going to be a absolute Champion.

It's his price that makes him a MUST IMO, being priced with a average of 78 it's a WIN/WIN unless off course he gets injured.

        Jayden · 12/04/2015 at 00:39

I honestly don’t believe he should be playing his not 100% and if his not tackling what kind of message does that send to the rest of the players I think they should drop him and rest him and then bring him back through the 2s

          Dean · 12/04/2015 at 17:16

Don't be surprised if we see GAJ have a 2 to 4+ week break, I think it's highly likely.

        bUCKET__ · 12/04/2015 at 00:46

ohhh I forgot about the tackling – you're spot on about that. And he backed it up with 10 tackles this week as well. He is definitely going to be a gun, no doubt about that. I don't rate his opposition at all (as an Eagles supporter…), which I think is leading to my skepticism.

If the risk with Ablett didn't pan out and I had to trade him for a cheaper premium, I left enough $ in the bank to upgrade a rookie to a breakout mid-pricer, if any presented themselves as keepers. You make a strong case for how I should use my corrective trades this week!

Rambo's Radish · 11/04/2015 at 23:12

Screwed up the VC loophole because both my rucks have played already and i'm spewing because i had it on JPK who whipped out 130 odd!
The only way to grab it is to sub bartel on the field for a 0 and then being forced to take lamberts 36 instead of whoever i would sub off!
But have options for my captain still to come so theres hope
who to take out of
Fyfe
Selwood
Lewis

thoughts?

Note to self: never screw VC loophole again!

    carlashirley90 · 11/04/2015 at 23:19

I went Lewis but man everyone picking Fyfe for big game but up to you

    Dean · 11/04/2015 at 23:23

    Id have to say FYFE..

I had the VC on pendles & Captain on Fyfe but after seeing pendles 126 thats a keeper not worth risking. I made sure I didn't stuff up the loophole as I put Minson on the bench as a emergency and put Read on the ground so Read is now my captain.

Dont worry mate it happens to all of us.

carlashirley90 · 11/04/2015 at 23:14

Have TBC on ground if he play's and have M. Clarke on E

If TBC plays who is the better option onfield?

    Dean · 11/04/2015 at 23:28

Tough call, but personally id go Clark considering Bartel is out so he should get more opportunities.

    Hope that helps a little.

Would you take Fyfe or Beams captain?

Vic City · 12/04/2015 at 01:09

Need to get rid of Cripps, Goodes, and GAJ I feel.

Thinking GAJ -> Bont
Goodes -> ?

Who to bring in for Goodes? Have Shaw, Newnes, Higgins, Lumumba, McIntosh, Saad, and Oxley

    Motsy · 12/04/2015 at 01:26

Smith is looking the goods if you have left over cash to get there.

If not, I'm looking at Laird with his draw to the byes I can see him avging 100.

      Crowmagnon · 12/04/2015 at 09:13

Heard Smith got k.o.d last night.

        Kev · 12/04/2015 at 09:22

Yeah, Smith in doubt for next week. Docherty, Rance, Tom McDonald maybe

    nuggetsfc · 12/04/2015 at 01:45

In the same boat mate. Missed all the injuries rd 1 and had most of the rookies. Can we turn the loss of gaj into something positive. A downgrade frees up a lot of cash for strengthening weaknesses in other lines or taking a punt on a breakout. I bought into the expensive rooks like cripps for job security but in the end we want points too.

      nuggetsfc · 12/04/2015 at 01:53

Is bonds shaping up as a must have?

    Leighroy · 12/04/2015 at 09:28

Smith got ko’d although starting to think with his new role, confidence and tags going to danger and slone before him he is a must have. Feel smith should only miss one week. Adelaide on Saturday at 2.10 next week. My plan at the moment is as follows. Ablett out most likely Lewis in. Collingwood then play Friday night so put the emergency on oxley. If oxley scores a score i would like to take ill trade smith in for a mid priced defender and start him on the ground to take oxleys score.

    bailey · 12/04/2015 at 11:20

I think get rid of Cripps now if you trade him in for say vandenberg you could see an 80k+ price rise in the first round of price change. Hold goodes for a round or to because you defineatley need to get rid of Cripps and Ablett before any price change

      bailey · 12/04/2015 at 11:47

Plus Goodes has a break even of 1 he scored 10 so he won’t go down in price

        Dean · 12/04/2015 at 21:46

I don't know how you worked out that Goodes break even is 1?

Goodes Break even is 65 not 1 so its quite likely he will drop in price especially if he ends up being the SUB again.

    Riley · 12/04/2015 at 21:54

Tom McDonald from the dees is looking very solid in defence! I've watched him over past 2 weeks he looks like he might be a solid option in defence for a very cheap price

Floppa · 12/04/2015 at 03:05

Should I take Jesse Hogans 86 or roll the dice on Mitch Clark? With Bartel out he may get more of the pill?

    Swans2012 · 12/04/2015 at 07:16

    Safety first, hogan for mine

    Tyler · 12/04/2015 at 08:03

    Yeah go Hogan for sure.

Tyler · 12/04/2015 at 08:30

Ok so probably a stupid question, but on supercoach head to head, It has your score in big next to your team name right? Then below that it has a different score and a projected score, that matches the graph. Which one is my actual score because for me one is almost 200 points bigger than the other one. Help?

    Leighroy · 12/04/2015 at 09:19

Score next to my name matches graph and score at the bottom. Not sure what’s happened there. If you want your score to date you may need to add up manually.

Tulendeena · 12/04/2015 at 08:34

I have picked every onfield rookie wrong T_T

One week I'll get them right

    PJay · 12/04/2015 at 10:13

    Same.
Oxley 116, Ellis Yolmen 98 and St Kilda Saad 75 all on the bench.

    bailey · 12/04/2015 at 11:22

Iv got goodes on field scoring 10 and saad and oxley 90 and 110 on my bench

      Paul · 12/04/2015 at 13:24

Same. Last week I had Oxley on field and he scored 31 while 209 pts sat on my DEF bench.
This week I put McIntosh on field and he gets 68 while Saad and Oxley get 200.
I wanted to sub Goodes off for Saad but missed the lockout by 1 minute!

Damo · 12/04/2015 at 09:56

Not sure whether to go Beams or Fyfe as Captain – VC only scored 114 (Gray). Any thoughts?

    Give It A Go · 12/04/2015 at 10:07

Have Lewis, Beams or Fyfe to choose for captain, which one??????

      Seb · 12/04/2015 at 10:09

I've got those three and I'm putting it on beams

Bird of Rain · 12/04/2015 at 10:19

Do I risk swapping Read and Bellchamber for my vc score on Kennedy? It means I take the 86 from Hogan + 260 from Kennedy or roll the dice on Fyfe as captain and keep Belly on field.

    carlashirley90 · 12/04/2015 at 10:36

Don't change that. Don't change that

    Damo · 12/04/2015 at 10:36

    Do the swap – take the 86 + 260.

Mac · 12/04/2015 at 10:19

Got Beams, Selwood, Fyfe who I can put the Captain on but not sure who. Thoughts?

    T.J · 12/04/2015 at 11:20

Fyfe or Selwood. Maybe Fyfe because Selwood may get tagged and isn't in the best form

      BackYardPunter · 12/04/2015 at 13:30

Freo usually tag s.johnson I’m going with Selwood for cast great players don’t have two bad games no Crowley it will be a lock down game perfect for Selwoods hard ball gets and tackles

        Davo · 12/04/2015 at 18:35

        Look how that turned out

T.J · 12/04/2015 at 10:25

Community, I believe it is time to trade Gary. I personally, would trade him down to Lewis, and upgrade someone like Cripps to Bont. Not sure what everyone else is doing but thats just my point of view

    Donavan · 12/04/2015 at 11:10

Good plan, I will be trading out Ablett also.

      dognino · 12/04/2015 at 15:08

Id like to do that, but GAJ down to Lewis still leaves me 20k short of Cripps to Bont . So just the 1 for me, then see how the rookies play out for another week , I have all the other good ones

JDogg · 12/04/2015 at 10:36

I have Oxley as my emergency and higgins left to play. Dagleish on my bench allows me to use Ox's score and bench higgins. Thoughts?

    Damo · 12/04/2015 at 11:01

Definitely use Oxley's score – can't see Higgins scoring 116+.

      Dwain · 12/04/2015 at 12:14

Why would you have to ask whether to use a defender who has scored 110 plus ? Can’t you make a decision? Lol! Obvious isn’t?

        Crowmagnon · 12/04/2015 at 12:37

        Use the loophole.

Stu · 12/04/2015 at 10:38

I have Gibson who is a late withdrawal. I also have Ablett who must now go. I'm thinking of trading Higgins in for Gibson and next week, Ablett down to JPK and with that cash and existing cash trade Gibson in for Goodes. I'm not sure about using three trades after round 2. Any advice?

    T.J · 12/04/2015 at 10:51

Why would you trade Gibson out then back in?

      Donavan · 12/04/2015 at 11:11

      Keep Gibson, his a keeper.

        Stu · 12/04/2015 at 11:12

Thanks TJ and Donavan, I'll take my pain this week and hope Gibbo is back next week.

john · 12/04/2015 at 11:48

126 enough to take for VC on Pendles? Or should I go with Lewis?

    Stickman · 12/04/2015 at 11:51

    I think its enough

    Tulendeena · 12/04/2015 at 12:14

    well and truly enough

      BackYardPunter · 12/04/2015 at 13:19

Lewis will have a field day today loves the big games Pendels solid though safe risk

Nick · 12/04/2015 at 11:50

Anderson or Cockatoo on field??

    Stickman · 12/04/2015 at 11:52

Wait for the subs to be announced as Anderson is a big sub risk

      Nick · 12/04/2015 at 12:02

subs wont be announced until Geelong game has started but with o'rourke playing anderson might avoid vest

        T.J · 12/04/2015 at 12:02

        Cockatoo is sub for geelong

        Nick · 12/04/2015 at 12:03

        shit cockatoo is sub

      Crowmagnon · 12/04/2015 at 12:34

      Cockatoo sub.

    Nick · 12/04/2015 at 12:05

i think ill take the risk with anderson hopefully is not sub

tom · 12/04/2015 at 12:35

what more important?

trading out lamb/lambert for playing rookie

trading out Ablett

    Davo · 12/04/2015 at 18:37

Gary, he will go down in value a lot

BundyBear · 12/04/2015 at 12:38

I am trading Garry in this week. But am unsure of who to get in return . already have Lewis,Beams,Douglas,Boak,Parker,Gray,Josh Kennedy,Swan,Bont, any suggestions anyone ?

    BackYardPunter · 12/04/2015 at 13:23

Selwood looks like the only one you haven’t got

    FootyFanatic · 12/04/2015 at 13:54

    Sloane, Pendlebury, Fyfe, Selwood
    All good options

      medadsson · 12/04/2015 at 20:53

I think maybe Fyfe's game today has settled that one for you?

        gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 21:12

Yeah fyfe and pendlebury should defiantly be the two to get fyfe looking amazing today and pendlebury always consistently 110+. You would go fyfe after his game today.

BackYardPunter · 12/04/2015 at 13:22

Took the hold advice all week on me trades then at the last minute Cripps out NVB in burnt a trade happy with the result

    Swans2012 · 12/04/2015 at 14:26

Yep got an itchy finger myself and sent Goodes packing when named as sub, Brought in t hunt which wasn’t my best decision but got a feeling he’ll come good over the next week or two. Here I was worried Oxley would be sub and I end up loopholing his 118 who would’ve thought!

    PJay · 12/04/2015 at 15:34

I made the exact same trade at the last minute!! Im happy with the burnt trade at the moment

seamus · 12/04/2015 at 13:24

Oxley on the pine, can't believe it!

Mike · 12/04/2015 at 14:40

Heeney got robbed by the SC Gods. He was everywhere, particularly late and got that score?

Brett · 12/04/2015 at 15:36

If I have two players on the bench locked in as emergencies, which players score do I get, the higher or lower players score?

    medadsson · 12/04/2015 at 15:50

    Lower sadly.

Marco_Polo94 · 12/04/2015 at 15:54

And to think i nearly took Griffen's 118 as my captain score. All hail the Wolf!

Michael · 12/04/2015 at 16:05

SMitch late out – CEY emergency welcome!

    Derek · 12/04/2015 at 16:44

I hate that. Already had E on Vandenberg to cover Cripps late out but didn’t have E on CEY to cover Mitchell. Big fat donut!

      Michael · 12/04/2015 at 19:26

Crap, sorry to hear mate, not often you need 2 E's on the one line. Actually, that sounds like how I spent most of the '90's lol.

Girdle · 12/04/2015 at 16:09

Funny how trading out Ablett doesn’t seem like a crazy idea now. Had to put up with alot of ridicule just two weeks ago for starting without him…..about the only thing I did right till now

    BundyBear · 12/04/2015 at 16:27

LOL. I agree. I was prepared to carry him. But now Im not. Time for the lil master to go

PJay · 12/04/2015 at 16:13

Fyfe 162!! And I had the big "C" on him. (head wobble)

    Leon · 12/04/2015 at 16:36

made my weekend, makes up for a average round….

Could he be the best player come the end of the year?

    Cozza · 12/04/2015 at 17:05

Decided to leave the C on Gray – kicking myself now πŸ™

      Tom · 12/04/2015 at 18:08

      Same as Cozza

        Davo · 12/04/2015 at 18:39

        Me also

    gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 20:39

Thank god for fyfe! Had the "C" on him as well. Makes up for Mitch Clark and Ahmed Saad getting subbed off.

carlashirley90 · 12/04/2015 at 16:36

Well I'm crying blood from me left eye after seeing Fyfe and have C on Lewis and he is on 27 at halftime

Flying Dons killing Hawks all over the ground

Have to say im not suprised

    Dean · 12/04/2015 at 17:08

Yikes that would hurt, considering Lewis is only on 47sc points with 5 minutes to go in 3rd quarter.

    Cozza · 12/04/2015 at 18:14

Not as bad as it could have been! At least he cracked the ton after a great last quarter

Derek · 12/04/2015 at 16:45

Mitchell late out. Didn’t have E on CEY. Hate that.

Tulendeena · 12/04/2015 at 17:55

What a win!!!!

Bombers for premiership

    Derek · 12/04/2015 at 18:34

Hawks needed a loss. We’re looking very smug and cocky

Tom · 12/04/2015 at 18:16

Trade 1: Gary Ablett out to another Premo (not sure who yet).

Trade 2: Who is higher priority to downgrade, Cripps or Goodes?

There's room on the pine for Goodes as I have other playing rookies and I think Carlton will blood more young guns from now on. But Goodes will depreciate faster thanks to his sub score and his higher price tag.

Thoughts?

    Davo · 12/04/2015 at 18:41

Goodes breakeven is 1 and he scored 10 so he wot go down in value if that helpsb

      carlashirley90 · 12/04/2015 at 19:38

I think Goodes gotta go, can't see him being used all game every game Dogs are wanting run with young legs

    Spifflicator · 12/04/2015 at 22:11

Like you I have both. I think both will still score well, however at least with Cripps you have options down or sideways if you want to trade, with NVB looking a standout. Goodes requires a trade up but the question becomes 'how far up?' Do you go cheap at sub $400k with McDonald/Laird/ Bruce, or higher with a Hooker or Gibson @ $450-500k or pig out and grab Simpson/Smith at $500 plus?

I'm tempted to hold Goodes at this stage, although Laird is very tempting as I don't see him playing a shut down role often. I would love Smith but after getting his head smashed into the turf, maybe not this week.

B-Mac · 12/04/2015 at 18:26

I know that supercoach scoring is very much a black art but I just don't get Watson's score.

33 disposals at 81% DE, and 6 tackles = 95?! Give me a spell!!

Having said that, that's why we do it, isn't it?!

    carlashirley90 · 12/04/2015 at 19:36

Yep I dont understand it either, especially when 20 disposals and some marks tackles earns 100

      demon · 12/04/2015 at 22:03

it's all relative, essendon play a very high possession game therefore a lot of the times their players scores will be scaled down to reflect that as there are only a finite amount of points on offer

the sprinkler · 12/04/2015 at 18:48

gaj- i love you…. and as i rub your bald lil scone i have to say take a rest son. i'll take the bonts and bring you back in later. and goldy heading for a 1 fitty as i speak. and having goodes on and oxley benched was an absolute nut cracker this week. cruel not having access to the net when you hear goodes is the sub. but at least fyfe as C took away some of the pain of the said split plums. SC you are a cruel mistress- and although i like your cruelty- i dont happen to enjoy it as much when it is solely lashed on me.

    Tyler · 12/04/2015 at 19:56

This is almost exactly what happened to me, without the gaz part

Derek · 12/04/2015 at 18:50

Godly going big. Back of Jacobs big score, expensive rucks looking ok again

    Locked and Loaded · 12/04/2015 at 20:59

Was always the case Derek you backed me in a lot of posts. And to add insult to those who downgraded the gap between the medium priced rucks to the big guns will be bigger than ever. I am happy to trade out Gaz this week if need be as I know I don;t have to waste a trade in getting the right rucks in

      gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 21:06

What to do I'm kind of stuck between mid range rucks and ultra premium rucks I've got Ivan Maric and Will Minson any suggestions? Didn't make any trades last week due to no injuries and had all the right rookies. Only concern is I have Mitch Clark and Ahmed Saad up forward who were both subbed off didn't see what happened to Clark but saad was concussed. Should I just hold on Minson and Maric? Holding off trading your premiums is very important early.

the sprinkler · 12/04/2015 at 18:54

What will be the average score for this round I only got 2170

    Tom · 12/04/2015 at 19:22

That's pretty good, I would say that would be the top 5% average.

      Crowmagnon · 12/04/2015 at 20:13

      2302

Jack · 12/04/2015 at 19:22

Rich does stuff all and gets 103. Lions also got smashed don't understand.

    Holty · 12/04/2015 at 20:09

Supercoach base it on metres gained as well. His left foot goes 65m+ so that helps. But yeah, it is hard to work out sometimes how it works. On another subject, I wonder if people will stop panicking about their rucks now after this weekend. Big thanks to Locked and Loaded for keeping a lot of us calm last weekend. The rucks did not play well last weekend and this weekend they prove they can still score well.

      Locked and Loaded · 12/04/2015 at 21:01

Holty thanks mate and thanks for backing me in it is only one week but its enough to prove they will go big

Motsy · 12/04/2015 at 19:25

Litteral toss of the coin between beams and fyfe captain cost me about 150 point the win and a sub 2400 score.

    Tom · 12/04/2015 at 19:45

    Probably not.

    gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 20:36

    Possibly

    Joey Joe Joe · 12/04/2015 at 20:40

I predict you will be about top 260

Marco_Polo94 · 12/04/2015 at 19:31

Beams gotta go?

    eatemalive · 12/04/2015 at 19:41

    no mate , serious hold

    carlashirley90 · 12/04/2015 at 19:41

One bad game, Brisbane are useless away and they got smashed in the 1st half. Premiums still dish up crap scores and Beams is no different. Only Ultra Premuims can avoid a sub 80 score so no I would waste a trade on getting rid of Beams, will still average enough to leave him in your side as M6 or M7

      Marco_Polo94 · 12/04/2015 at 20:41

I would argue he looked shit against collingwood too. I was at the game and was not impressed. he worries me so far.

    Tom · 12/04/2015 at 19:45

    Yep

    Joey Joe Joe · 12/04/2015 at 20:31

Hold. Stick fat with premos (except injured or playing injured – ie – GAZ)

    gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 20:43

Hooold! Keep faith in your premiums and they will repay the faith.

Tom · 12/04/2015 at 19:45

Hold Lambert? What is the extent of the shoulder injury?

    Kev · 12/04/2015 at 21:21

2 weeks. Holding him due to lack of other options

Tom · 12/04/2015 at 19:48

I never have a good start to the year but consistently finish top 2000. I have started with scores of 2137 and 2124, EVERYONE DONT DESPAIR!

tom · 12/04/2015 at 19:55

RUCKS ARE WELL ALIVE PEOPLE

    @t_woof · 12/04/2015 at 20:14

    Indeed!!

Geeze i hope none of the community pulled the trigger on Sauce, Goldstein or Mumford for Leuenberger or Gas Chambers.

All of the above premiums there re-paid the faith.

      gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 20:32

Definitely, don't know why people were considering trading Goldstein after a 100 last week. He looked amazing today! Mumford played out of his skin after a 4 point first quarter.

        @t_woof · 12/04/2015 at 21:21

I don't know why either gillie.

I have Goldstein and Gas Chambers. The thought of trading out Goldstein never crossed my mind. But…some were contemplating it…..

Michael · 12/04/2015 at 20:01

Looks like I got 1941, got a few pressing problems that need addressing this week:

1. What to do with GAJ?
Leaning towards trading out to maybe The Bont, frees up $312,300 – very tasty!
Only problem with that is the Doggies upcoming draw is, in order, Hawks, Crows, Swans in Syd – pretty tough 3 weeks, will the real Bont stand up?

2. Rucks
Big Boy as R2 not working, do I bite the bullet and welcome back NicNat in his place?

    Joey Joe Joe · 12/04/2015 at 20:34

Go for reliable premo replacement for GAJ. Think Pendles, JPK, Lewis etc. The Bont looks great, but he will get more attention and who knows what that will lead to…

I would ditch Big Boy – risk of Ceglar coming in anyway if he keeps up his insipid performances… NicNat looks OK without being spectacular for similar money.

    gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 20:35

I don't have GAJ but he will lose money that's for sure, I think you should trade him and the bont has looked good. But his score could dip with the upcoming draw. The question you need to ask yourself is, do you think GAJ will be a top 8 midfielder by the end of the season and if yes do you want to burn trades to get him back in. Either way I think you should trade him.

      starz · 12/04/2015 at 20:42

      GAJ out pendles in

      BIG boy out goldy in.

i m sticking fat with goldy and mummy

worried about bonts draw for the next 3 weeks. will get attention.

        starz · 12/04/2015 at 20:44

for gaz u can get pendles, sloane, JPK and lewis

    SideBySidebottom · 12/04/2015 at 21:02

Bont is a mid/forward. The kid looks great and is a chance to end up near or in the top ten forwards. He can't be seriously considered as a top ten midfielder yet.

Stickman · 12/04/2015 at 20:07

How did everyone else go? Wondering where I sit with 2234.

    @t_woof · 12/04/2015 at 20:16

    2310.

      Tom · 12/04/2015 at 20:18

      Very good scores

        Westy · 12/04/2015 at 21:08

        2187

    gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 20:30

    I got 2137

    Caz · 12/04/2015 at 20:35

    2350

    Holty · 12/04/2015 at 21:14

2231. Ended up being alright with both Gibson and Bartel not playing

tom · 12/04/2015 at 20:07

trade Ablett to who?

rookie
mid pricer
premo

also thinking Judd could be a good option to get ablett back in

    @t_woof · 12/04/2015 at 20:17

What does your current team look like Tom?

I think if trading Gaz, you need to be bringing in – Fyfe, Pendles, JPK, Sloane or Lewis.

      tom · 12/04/2015 at 20:26

      my midfield is..

Ablett, fyfe, selwood, parker, griffen, wallis, cripps, vandenberg (CEY, heeney, touk)

scored 2295 this week with brown and clark on field so pretty happy but what are your thoughts?

        @t_woof · 12/04/2015 at 21:26

Maybe look at Pendles, JPK or Sloane. Nice foil for Fyfe. Good VC/C Combo. As much as it hurts me to say, but Ablett is looking unreliable VC/C option now.

Also depends on where the extra coin will be spent. If that extra coin on top of your war chest can upgrade an under performing mid pricer to a keeper….than it's definitely worth considering. Using that extra coin to upgrade your side, whilst at the same time getting in a premium that will outscore Ablett. …….hope that all makes sense tom.

          tom · 12/04/2015 at 21:36

haha, don't worry it made perfect sense mate.

          cheers for the help!

Michael · 12/04/2015 at 20:28

Some of you may remember last year I did a team of the week (TOTW) for a little while.
It basically revolved around the highest scoring players in a SC team structure every week.
I've decided to keep it going this year and highlight the highest scoring teams in each position and overall.
So basically how often each team appears in the TOTW and in which position.

After 2 rounds there's some obvious patterns:

TeamsTotalDEF MIDRUCFWD
ADE 8 2 2 1 3
FRE 7 0 4 0 3
PTA 6 1 2 0 3
GWS 5 0 4 1 0
NTH 5 0 0 2 3
MEL 4 3 0 0 1
SYD 4 0 4 0 0
STK 4 2 1 0 1
RIC 3 3 0 0 0
COL 3 1 1 1 0
WCE 3 1 1 0 1
WBD 2 0 0 1 1
CAR 2 2 0 0 0
GEE 2 0 2 0 0
HAW 1 0 1 0 0
ESS 1 1 0 0 0
BRL 0 0 0 0 0
GCS 0 0 0 0 0

High scoring defenders: MEL & RIC
High scoring midfielders: FRE, GWS, SYD
High scoring rucks: NTH
High scoring fowards: ADE, FRE, PTA, NTH

Early days I know but if you're stuck with a particular choice across different clubs then this info could be helpful as we get further into the season.

    Derek · 12/04/2015 at 21:04

The Hawks are poor SC players

OldOcker · 12/04/2015 at 20:47

Very happy this week ranked 260 after last weeks disaster.

    KJU FC · 12/04/2015 at 20:50

    well done OldOcker!

    what score did you pull?

      Tom · 12/04/2015 at 21:05

      Team Name?

Rob · 12/04/2015 at 20:55

Do I trade Boak or not. He cant handle a tag and he is averaging 75.

I have 10k in the bank which would allow me to get mundy.

Any suggestions?

    Kev · 12/04/2015 at 21:18

Not what you want from a premium but Mundy probably isn't the best option in the long run. Highest season average of 107 back in 2011 (12 games)

      Rob · 12/04/2015 at 21:22

      Who would you recommend then?

Tom · 12/04/2015 at 20:55

Fyfe or Sloane?

    KJU FC · 12/04/2015 at 20:58

I'd be leaning towards Fyfe, Tom.

Has a massive ceiling as we saw today but you can't really go wrong with either

    gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 21:02

    Fyfe for me as well

tom · 12/04/2015 at 20:56

Goodes to Oxley

Ablett to JPK

Thoughts?

    Derek · 12/04/2015 at 21:02

Should you look at upgrading Goodes?

      Kev · 12/04/2015 at 21:14

Goodes to Oxley only if you have Saad and Macca. If your D8 isn't playing you can E loophole the 3.

      Sloane/Fyfe ahead of JPK

      tom · 12/04/2015 at 21:17

I would but only have 130k so it would pretty much be a sideways trade and there arent many people I want to pick up just yet at that price

    gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 21:09

Seems pretty good to me, oxley looked good the ball was down the back line a lot, don't expect him to go and get another 116 though. But he will make some nice cash for you. And for goodes money you don't want him getting the vest. Ablett to JPK is a great move I think, JPK looking like having another great season while Ablett doesn't look right at all and still hast laid a tackle!

Tom · 12/04/2015 at 21:10

Who is a good defensive rookie? I already have McIntosh, Saad and Oxley.

    gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 21:16

No other defensive rookies who have got a game I don't think

      Tom · 12/04/2015 at 21:21

Should I hold Goodes or downgrade to someone like Goddard and use him as a loophole until he gets a game.

        Mitchnev · 12/04/2015 at 21:42

Could consider Taylor hunt, JS good. However it is a risk, but fortune favours the brave

        gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 21:50

Yeah I have clancee Pearce and also have Mcintosh, saad and oxley. And going to Goddard might not be a bad idea because I always seem to have the highest scoring rookie on the bench hahaha

        Spifflicator · 12/04/2015 at 22:16

I hadn't considered that option Tom, I like it, except the Saints aren't a great loophole option as they play early most weeks.

Choosing captains · 12/04/2015 at 21:14

Been unlucky las two rounds with picking the right captains even using the loophole, just wondering who the community would rate as the top five taggers in the competition at the moment?

Bailey · 12/04/2015 at 21:27

Minson out who in?
Nic Nat

    gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 21:53

Yeah I have will Minson and Ivan Maric wondering what to do. thinking of definitely holding Maric and maybe trading Minson to Goldstein.

      Davo · 12/04/2015 at 22:08

Goldstein looks good for the price and his performances so far if you’ve got money in the bank

        gillie44 · 12/04/2015 at 22:13

Only got 12,000 so would have to use another trade, I could downgrade clancee peerce. I didn't make any trades last week.

          Davo · 12/04/2015 at 22:27

Oxley saad and Mcintosh are the only ones I would be downgrading too

Mitchnev · 12/04/2015 at 21:41

Does Cripps need to go ? If so who for?

Also what to do with Tom Lamb

    Spifflicator · 12/04/2015 at 22:18

No he doesn't, as he will play and score well. Carlton MUST play the kids if they are to get anywhere. That said NVB is bloody hard to ignore.

      Motsy · 12/04/2015 at 23:09

I would ditch cripps, even sideways to van berlo.

      Malthouse hates the kid.

Nuggetty · 12/04/2015 at 21:52

Well….thought starting with Ablett AND Rockliff would be the POD to get a leg up on the comp. Now structure and trading strategy burnt to a crisp. Feel like I’ve been spat on by the sniggering face of adversity. Screw it bring on next week!

Basil · 12/04/2015 at 22:32

Thoughts on Rory laird

Pete · 16/04/2015 at 16:35

My mids are Ablett, Fyfe, Lewis, Neale, Swallow, Griffen and 2 rookies. Forwards are Bartel, Martin, Swan, TBC, Clark, Salem. What are thoughts about downgrading Ablett to Rich, and then upgrading either Salem, Clark, or the rookies Lonie, and McGrath for the Bont?
