THE RECRUIT is back, and it is on FOX8.

Out there, playing somewhere in Australia right now, is a weekend warrior the AFL recruiters have either never seen or missed, a man dreaming of
an AFL career. He is ‘The Recruit’ and he will win arguably the biggest prize ever given away on a TV show – a guaranteed place at an AFL club.

THE RECRUIT is a reality football entertainment series that will follow 12 ‘Recruits’ who will live and play together as a team, while at the same time competing against each other, in order to win this life-changing prize.

Fitzy and Vossy will be putting the 12 Recruits through their paces, both physically and mentally, in order to discover a player who is truly worthy of a place on an AFL team.

The series will culminate in a live finale in which an unprecedented AFL Draft will be held, with the winner signing a contract with one AFL club.

The 10-part series will air on FOX8 from Wednesday, July 16, at 7.30pm with an encore screening on FOX FOOTY the following Wednesday at 5.30pm.

100% agree nathan, i loved the soccer and cricket show similar to this but finally there is one for the #1 sport in australia !!!

    jockreynolds · 01/07/2014 at 20:15

Slightly puzzled as to why I wasn't asked to be involved. Who better to have the young prospects nuzzle against his bosom?

      Wes · 01/07/2014 at 20:19

      Got mental picture of that….
      Ugh. There it's is again…

      Neilsy · 01/07/2014 at 20:39

Siposs and Webster as supercoach tips in the last 2 years.I rest my case Jock.

      Chook · 01/07/2014 at 20:46

Might be time to make a pitch to the networks Jocky boy! Get a few lambs together and get them all nice and plump for the slaughter..

        jockreynolds · 01/07/2014 at 20:58

Good call Chook. Take along a few cages, few chicken bones…

      Gold Rush · 02/07/2014 at 00:21

They are probably on a pilot budget at the moment and cannot afford the wisdom that you bring to the table. Keep your chin up Jock – your time is a coming.

Thought your name was Jock – not Rolf…

another tuesday gone · 01/07/2014 at 22:39

Another Tuesday almost gone & still no "Tight Arse Tuesday." I realise Mick's work is done gratis & we all lead busy lives, but this is pretty disappointing.

    Itchy Nuts Pieman · 01/07/2014 at 23:07

ATG. In defence of Mick, I happen to know he's a pretty elite member of the corporate world. He was poached from his native land to an Aussie company. He's in high demand. If he gets the time to deliver a tight arse cherish it, but dont expect it from somone who has a very busy life to lead. You don't need to read his acticles for long to realise he's a very clever dude! So before you take pot shots, think about what your saying on a public forum.

      another tuesday gone · 02/07/2014 at 00:04

I really don't see how you could construe my comments as taking a potshot. I think continuity is very important, particularly when building a site. If he's too busy, then say so.

    jockreynolds · 02/07/2014 at 20:38

Gday there Another – yeah ah well mate, we all love the mighty TAT but old Mick is a man in demand at work at the minute, and we all know that priorities are priorities and that's life. God knows I'm the same mate, try to tip every bit into the site I can but there are times when the old life gets in the way of things, where other areas of the community call, podcast prep, site issues, a lot of work but a a magnificent labor or love.

Anything we get from Micky from here on in is a real bonus – just love to keep him in the joint in any way we can he's a belter.

      another tuesday gone · 03/07/2014 at 01:38

No worries Jock, love Mick's work that's why I miss it. Recently had twins, frikkin nightmare.

Hazey · 01/07/2014 at 23:00

Luke Parker leading the TAT charge this week I reckon!

    jockreynolds · 02/07/2014 at 20:39

Gday there Hazey – I reckon he is getting pretty close to a must have if you dont have him. Agree

Those were the days · 01/07/2014 at 23:22

Agree with ATG in a sense. A lot of my favourite articles are frequently missing from the website these days. TAT is always a great read, and whatever happened to Higgo's Punting Machine? Things are all turning a little too corporate and it feels like the only one who really has time for this community lately is The Barron.

    jockreynolds · 02/07/2014 at 20:44

Corporate? Just choked on the snag and spuds Those 😉

Watch this space old mate, we're dead keen on staying as non corporate as we possibly can. You'll notice there's no betting ads on the site anymore (and the punt machins), we have quite a few young nippers visiting the site and didn't want to saturate things with betting. The flipside is we need to get our $$ to stay afloat from other areas like the donor pod. Such is life

Gold Rush · 02/07/2014 at 00:22

Trojan's Jock?

Joey Joe Joe · 02/07/2014 at 20:11

I think there needs to be a reshuffle of the Jock Reynolds cabinet – Mick obviously doesn't have time for TAT, so give it to the Barron who puts in heaps of effort for a page which unfortunately is not as relevant.
And Jock – why no more weekend chin wags threads? A pretty simple thing to set up which gives the community to share their pain and glory while SC is in play.

    jockreynolds · 02/07/2014 at 20:51

Gday there Joey – The Barron has absolutely delivered in spades above and beyond the call of duty! Clearly a Brownlow performance by the great man.

Good call on the weekend chin wags – it is pretty piss easy to put up there.. might just have to make sure I pull the old finder out and get it up there every week again before I head off down the Seaford.

On the TAT – mate it's all The Mighty Irishman's. Great man – very busy bloke with a busy job is the great man. Countless are the late nights into the wee hours of the morning he has spent serving our community with his majesticness and he is to be completely and utterly saluted. Love the bloke
