It’s just about here community.
The Supercoach finals are almost upon us and I can tell youse all that everyone here at the Jock Reynolds Community is absolutely buzzing for it. Hopefully your team isn’t falling to pieces like mine and you’re heading full steam ahead into the finals. So whilst I still kick myself over some stupid trades and sweat on the dreaded knock on the front door from ASADA…let’s try and win some cash!
Well done to the Sportsbet dudes as well – they refunded bets to do with that Khawaja wicket last night. Those pomps can get stuffed mate.
Joel Selwood ($1.90) vs Steve Johnson ($1.85)
Showdown at Etihad under lights between these two should be an absolute cracker man. At first glance, it appears impossible to split these two but if we dig a bit deeper I think you’ll find Selwood has the slight edge on Stevie J. Selwood LOVES a bit of Kangaroo meat man. In his last five games against North Melbourne, Selwood has averaged 131 SC points. Not only does Stevie J’s career average of 87 against North not stack with Selwood, his 56 against the Roos last year remains fresh in the memory. Selwood’s been in some blistering form recently man and if he can break a tag, I reckon he’ll get the job done tonight. I’m on!
Jarrad McVeigh ($1.85) vs Daniel Hannebery ($1.90)
Scratching my head as to why Hannebery is outsider in this one community. McVeigh is coming off 77 and 81 in his last two games whilst Hanners last two scores are 87 and 145. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Doggies put up a fight against Sydney, so it might not be that easy for McVeigh to play himself back into form. I just reckon there’s too much value in Hannebery to ignore considering his average score in his last four against the Dogs is 106 whilst Mcveigh’s is only 87. I’m on the Hannebery boy here community!
Richard Douglas ($1.70) vs Scott Thompson ($2.05)
Hasn’t old Scotty Thompson dropped this year?! Once an elite premium, his form has been well down this year. Averaging over 110 in 2011 and 2012, Thompson’s only managed an average of 95 this year. Despite Adelaide’s woeful form, Richy Douglas has actually kicked on this year from a decent 2012. His average has dramatically risen from 80 to 103. Whilst $1.70 isn’t the greatest value, I can’t see Douglas getting knocked off here dudes; place your pennies on him.
Jordan Lewis ($1.85) vs Cyril Rioli ($1.90)
Strongly fancy Lewis in this one community. Rioli is way too hot and cold for my liking man and Lewis has actually come of age as a fantasy player this year. Still not convinced Rioli is playing at 100% yet and I reckon Hawthorn is slowly working him to be 100% for finals. Lewis’s last three scores of 99, 118 and 117 make for impressive reading in comparison to Rioli’s 107, 81 and 76. Lewis has averaged 96 in Supercoach this year, the best in his career, and I’m backing him to edge out Rioli against Richmond.
As always, would love to hear who you’re backing this week community!
