  1. Rocksta says:

Going the Captains loophole with the V on Ablett, and the C on Pendles..
Will have to make sure though I don't get side tracked if Ablett scores really well as will have about 30 minutes between games to Take the C off Pendles and put it on a non playing player ( Hanley with the E on Docherty).
Also, really happy I was still able to keep Daniher on the bench. He scored 13.

  2. Rocksta says:

Hope the community didn't get tempted into trading Franklin. Last night shows why he will be such a valuable player in your team come finals.
He'll start churning out the 120 pluses soon enough.

    • BestCoastEagles says:

Have had the Big Budwalla all year. Was tempted to give him the highland fling several times. Was scared the moment i did he would go into wrecking mod. Though he got burnt on the points last night should of been 140-150 .

      • Rocksta says:

        I agree.
How can you kick 8 and score 119.
        What's with that?

        • David says:

Think he only had 1 contested possession, usually has a few more, would've got him to the 130-140 mark

        • Devilz says:

Pretty silly, he clearly won them the game, should of got 150 – 180, glad he didn't cos his no longer in my team lol

    • ShinbonerSpirit says:

Haven't had him all season, and I wouldn't change it for the world.

      • Rocksta says:

You may live to regret that Shinboner come SC Finals.
I reckon Buddy has just started warming up for the AFL finals proper which means big scores for the SC finals.
I've been on all year and am staying on the Buddy Train

        • Remy says:

Hawthorn's run coming up includes Richmond, St Kilda, Collingwood, Kangaroos and Swans. Buddy's record against Collingwood, Kangaroos and Swans is very good…. I reckon We can expect some huge scores from Buddy in the SC finals.

      • Balls says:

        Me too!

        • Balls says:

That is no BF and don't want him – the contested ball count backs up the reported injury.

    • Devilz says:

I got Buddy in at round 9 and was disappointed in his inconsistency so I got him out after round 15 for Goldstein so can't complain yet haha. I am tempted to get him back but I got Cyril last week so at this stage Im happy to go without him and play Cyril Vs Buddy in Finals. I have 6 trades left, top 4 in all leagues, so i can afford to waste some… way to easy with 30 trades, all things to plan and will have 2 prems on the bench for finals coverage

  3. Rocksta says:

I reckon Cyril will be ripe for the picking come finals.
His movement and skill was magnificent last night, and he tonned up so soon after his return from a lengthy lay off.

    • BestCoastEagles says:

I am hearing you Rocksta, he is about to rip it apart and his Price as Bruce would say is Delicious.

    • jockreynolds says:

He looked magnificent last night lads didnt he. No doubting his scoring potential but just cant shake the injury risk factor. He was off after a knock last night for a few minutes but pulled up alright

  4. Rocksta says:

    Hey 'BIG FELLA',
Further to our discussions in 'Burman Poll' a couple of days ago, I reckon it's 'CYRIL TIME'

    • big fella says:

Yes I'm not happy with myself, brought in Dusty Martin instead of Cyril in the end… Hope it doesn't come back to bite me

  5. David says:

We talk about Barlow being a prime option because of his finals run…… do you think Ross will rest him though?

    • BestCoastEagles says:

I think it will come down to if Freo are fighting for a top 4 position. I don't think he will rest players if it means the extra percentage to make it there.

    • ShinbonerSpirit says:

Not with the way the top 4 battle is panning out.

  6. David says:

Talking to Rocksta previously about what score from Gaz to settle with and not switch to Pendles or Swan? Rocksta reckons 135+ any other suggestions?

    • BestCoastEagles says:

As a rule of thumb anything over 130 is a keeper. GWS seem to lock down on a few players and they struggle. With Beams, Swan & Pendles one will cop the tag big time.

    • micki S says:

      127+ is what I reckon

  7. BestCoastEagles says:

Loving Buddy Boy, he turned the clock back three years. Hoping the big chap can kick on from here and waves too the people that gave him the Asssssss. Looking great so far Jock, how is the Brumby traveling ??

  8. Rocksta says:

The Buddy Train is at the station!

    • BestCoastEagles says:

He is the Express Train. Ticket's please queue to the right who have him and please queue to the left if you had him and flicked him.

  9. David says:

If Gaz doesn't cut it, should I use loophole on Pendles, Swan or Stevie J?

  10. James says:

Why is Ryder playing forward. He is much more damaging with his taps and gets more of them while his work in the forward line is pretty average. Bellchambers sis much more dangerous up forward and has kicked a 5 goal bag. I know they are swapping but why are they giving the number one ruck role to Bellchambers

  11. jack says:

Gday everyone. Im doing ok in the old supercoach coming 576 overall and was just wondering if i could have some advice. Should i go Hrovat to Barlow (which would put tom mitchell to M9) this week to have 2 trades left and 47k in bank or wait until next week with barlows 144 breakeven? cheers

    • BestCoastEagles says:

      HOLD !

    • Mr_Consistent says:

Yeah I don't see how a one word answer helps you Jack. I think you should pick up Barlow mate. He could very well score 144 and even if he doesn't he probably won't go down much anyway. If your ranked that high you need to take risks to get ahead, Barlow is an excellent choice!

  12. Sully321 says:

Pendles or Stevie j for captain if ablett doesn't score enough?

and what is a good enough score to keep gaz as captain?

  13. James says:

Tom Nicholls subbed off with right knee problem.

  14. Sully321 says:

Tom Nicholls subbed out nooooooo!!!!!! Only 32 points

  15. jockreynolds says:

    Nicholls gone! Disaster

  16. Dan says:

pendles stevie or swan for captain?

  17. Sully321 says:

Ablett 121 putting the big C on Pendles now to score more than that

    • James says:

My strategy was to put the C on Pendles if Ablett scored under 121 so I am going through with it.

  18. James says:

    Ablett 121.

Who's putting the C on Pendles, Stevie J or someone else?

    • Sully321 says:

      C on pendles

      • medadsson says:

Hard choice, Stevie J is a fantasy flat track bully of the highest order. I am going Pendles as he seems like a better bloke … no logic I know.

  19. Osh says:

Should I bank in Abletts score or go with Pendles and should I go with Jaegers score or go with Tom Mitchell???

  20. big fella says:

Gonna get the win either way, so taking the risk and putting the C on Selwood to outscore Gaz

  21. ShinbonerSpirit says:

And again, Cannon scores well with very few touches of the ball. Got to love his disposal efficiency!

  22. Bob says:

Gaz only scored 116 definitely putting the C on Pendles!

  23. James says:

Pies & Pendles quiet so far.

    • ShinbonerSpirit says:

Yep, gone with Swan as captain though, so I don't mind too much. Pendlebury was always going to receive the first tag and GWS can really shut down a player.

  24. James says:

    Swan 43, Pendlebury 18 at 1/4 time.

    Pendles will pick it up!

  25. James says:

Andrew Swallow ruptures his achilles – out for the season.

  26. ShinbonerSpirit says:

    Dane Swan, you beautiful creature.

  27. Mr_Consistent says:

I feel sorry for all the people that loopholed Pendles for Ablett…

  28. James says:

    Dawson Simpson dislocated kneecap.

Just traded him in this round!

  29. James says:

Jock, I didn't listen to you and brought in ibbotson 5-6 weeks back. Is it worth trading him out for Mckenzie ect. My defence is Gibbs, Goddard, Hartlett, ibbotson, Heppel, and (sun of a gun) Dixon. Only got 3 trades left, I'm thinking hold but I can't keep copping these 60-70 scores he is posting. Do you think he will get back on the horse or continue to fall away.

    • James says:

Equall lowest inside fifty's from Adelaide could have had an impact on ibbotson s scoring. I didn't watch the match, any sports.

      • ShinbonerSpirit says:

Nah mate, Duff got his hands on the pill about 20 times (excluding kick-ins) from the same position. Ibbo was too busy being a potato.

        • James says:

Do you reckon duffeilds inclusion has changed the role he has been playing. What do you think ibbotson will average for the remainder if the year.

          • ShinbonerSpirit says:

I'm not sure. Now Freo have more outlets out of defence and don't have to rely solely on Ibbo anymore. The return of McPharlin could see Ibbotson handed a bit more freedom. I can see him averaging 85-90 from here.

  30. ShinbonerSpirit says:

Ricky Henderson excellent on debut for The Benchwarmers despite a De Boer tag. And Duffield showed flashes of his old self. Should rip it up in the finals. SJ's 120 was unexpected, and Selwood continues his fine form. All in all, a pretty good Saturday night.

  31. Eagler says:

Go Swan!!! 1961 with 6 to play. I’m no where near the leaders but should smash my PB.

    • Rocksta says:

Looks like you're going to get a ripper score there Eagler.
      Well done.
I've got Swanny and Ablett but put the C on Pendles. Oh we'll, better luck next week.

      • Eagler says:

Cheers Rocksta. Finally had a big score. I stuffed up with Pendles last week. Wasn’t keen on it twice in a row.

  32. JB says:

    Par score this round 2,200?

  33. Rocksta says:

What's going to happen with Essendon and its players?
Thought they were going to be cleared but the events of the past couple of days has got me doubting again.
    Hold all trading?

    • ShinbonerSpirit says:

The investigation could be drawn out until next year if necessary. In any case, I think worst case scenario is that Essendon aren't allowed to play in September, and that doesn't affect SC.

  34. throttlefinger says:

Bartel, Goodes, Hanley and Terlich. No coverage. Nicholls subbed out. But looped Swanny so still have a fighting chance for the W. As every week…victory depends on Zorko going big or bust.

  35. Rocksta says:

Beamer ripped it up again this week. He will make a great in for those with trades and limited damage.
I unfortunately have too many injury concerns and not enough trades to bring him in.
Great for those whom can though

  36. Darren says:

    Someone earlier mentioned this

“IMO take jaegers 93 over Tom Mitchell”

What do u mean by that exactly?

    • Rocksta says:

      Hi Darren.
They are referring to ' the emergency loophole'
It means they currently have Jaegar on the bench with the 'E' on him, and Tom Mitchell on the field.
They want to now take Jaegars score by putting Tom Mitchell on the bench as the non emergency. However, to do this you will need a non starting player on your field.
So, to make this work, your second bench player must be somebody whom isn't playing this round and whoms team hasn't played yet. You then simply swap that player with Tom Mitchell on the field, in which case Jaegars score will apply once that non starters team game is over.
You could also substitute non starting DPP's from your forward line or back line.

That person was referring to a post that I answered for him earlier this week. I told him to put Jimmy Bartell ( non starter this week) on the field, with Jaegar and Tom Mitchell on the bench with Jaegar as the emergency. He can now just simply leave it as it.
      Hope this makes sense.

    • ShinbonerSpirit says:

I'm assuming Osh (the OP) was going to use some sort of midfield loophole, similar to the captain loophole, using Jaeger and Titch. If he wasn't happy with JOM's score, he was able to take Titch's score today instead.

      • Osh says:

That's exactly what I did guys and got an extra 20 which won me my league!!!!

    • James says:

Sub in Dangerfield (or other non playing player who has not played) for Mitchell. Assuming they have o meara as emergency, they will get his score because there is a zero on the field.

  37. James says:

Do you think Ricky Henderson is going to do an ibbotson?

    • James says:

      And drop off

    • ShinbonerSpirit says:

Always a possibility. But I'm pretty confident of him maintaining his form until the end of the season (not sure what a Dangerfield return might do for him). Remember, he scored 110 on a De Boer tag against the best defensive team in the AFL.

  38. Joel says:

Wow. What a disaster of a week for me, despite having good bench cover ill have a few zeros and bad scores! I have had this week.

Bartel, goodes, Hanley, riewolt, Nichols, swallow.
Didn't keep ablets vc score and went pendles over swan and Selwood.
Still have jobe Watson on the bench as a good POD come finals but may regret this with what has happened this week!

Still have 6 trades which is good though!

    • Joel says:

Also had danihers score for Riewolt
      Clisbys score for goodes
      Colquhon for Hanley
      Nichols I had on field
      Swallow I had on field
      Mitchell for Bartel

      Somehow still predicted 2300

  39. Dylan says:

    Upgrade T.mitchell??

    Options are
    T/u redden
    T/d hannerbry

Only have 80k in bank and need to win this week, it will hopefully push me over the line with one more p.o.d

  40. Jacko says:

Master Jock and Supercoach community, I come to u in desperate need of help. I have decided to use my very last trade in order to get over my arch nemesis Unbeatables who currently has a 3 point projected lead. I need a defender to replace Hanley and take Clisby's spot in the side. WHO IS THE BEST REMAINING DEFENDER???
I'm Thinking Bob Murphy or Jed Adcock. Please help me out.

    • big fella says:

Murphy for mine today, although Adcock could average higher for the rest of the season now that Hanley is out…a very close call

    • Rocksta says:

I'm assuming you've already got Malceski Jacko?
Houli is also now a couple of weeks back from injury and can churn out some big scores.
I'd go Malceski if you don't have him

  41. UnBeatables 2.0 says:

Arch nemesis Jacko?? Lol I like bob murphy mate, I looked at him for a while.. Give him a crack.. It might get you over the line

  42. Jason says:

Just like to pay tribute to Matty Kreuzer. Picked him up at a steal and in his last 6 rounds has scored 111, 111, 136, 107, 139 & 140.

Is still only owned by 8.27% of teams

Definitely choosing him as an elite ruck next year.

  43. UnBeatables 2.0 says:

Jacko have you taken into account it says I have had 12 play but Mitchell’s score hasn’t gone on for danger yet..

    • Jacko says:

That hurts mate. I thought it had counted that. Good luck against Moodle Magicians and Bomberblitz mate that is depressing.

  44. UnBeatables 2.0 says:

Lol cheers Jacko.. Don’t rule yourself out this week yet.. The Supercoach gods always have tricks up their sleeves!!

  45. Yappa's Allstars says:

I don't have to many trades, 4. Not much, do you you reckon I should hold onto Hanley or give him the flick? I have Staker filling in for him. I might just see how he goes today, in good form all up though.

  46. ShinbonerSpirit says:

And there it is. I can never seem to back up a great Saturday with a decent Sunday.

  47. Eagler says:

Just need Martin to score 101+ to crack 2500. I’ve already hit my PB.

  48. ShinbonerSpirit says:

2428. Can't wait to have Danger back.

  49. Rocksta says:

Even though I won in my league again this week and am now guaranteed top 3, it's been a shocking week for my anticipated finals team bench.
Vossy made Docherty the sub yet again, even though he was named on the field ( What's with that guy?). I'll have to look at trading him first week of finals as simply cannot count on his Job security.
Nicholls, whom I had intended to leave as my R3 for the rest of the season ( R2 via loophole if he scored well) is injured. Even though they reckon only 2 weeks I can't see how you can keep a $400K player with a suspect knee on the bench.
Mayes and Danaher stunk it up ( my forward line Bench).
I also had Watson and Hanley and thus am worried about their return.
With 2 trades left and my now suspect bench, I simply do not know what to do.
I can only think of trading Nicholls and Docherty out for Heater and McBean ( I have Cox in the Forward line) first week of finals.
This will insure I have a full premium side when Watson and Hanley return. I will have T.Mitchell and Staker as D6 and M8 in the interim.
    Thoughts/suggestions anyone?

    • Rocksta says:

Sorry, forgot to mention that if I make the trade above, I will end up with Staker on the Def bench, Mitchell and Hrovat on the mid bench, no cover on my Ruck bench but a DPP McBean to sub Cox from the Forward line if required, and Mayes and Daniher on the FWD line bench.
With right Captain, my team should score between 2400 – 2500 ( I've been scoring mid 2400s with 2 premiums on the bench recently)
      Thoughts anyone?

  50. Chris says:

Thoughts on Chris Yarran? Recent scores of 75, 80.. Looks as if he is finding form..

I have Nichols and swallow to trade out this week, I thought that I'd get more points by getting Goldstein because Jacobs is doing terrible, and then putting colquhon into my midfield and buying Yarran into d6/7 and then can be back up when Hanley comes back

  51. Trevor says:

Guys please let me now your thought on this….
Last round a person in my league was 9th n they played some1 that wasn't going to ,are finals and they put most of their premiums on the bench. The person now is in the 8th???

  52. This paragraph is actually a pleasant one it helps new
internet users, who are wishing for blogging.
