  1. Smittzzy says:

1620 this week boys, finally a good score to a horror year in my opinion. Late run from the trenches. owe it all to you boys 😉

  2. Dylan says:

Best option out of the following: Stokes, Kreuzer (380k), Dusty Martin? Or any other forward/ruckman less than 570k? Thanks

    • Remy says:

Who I'm trading in this week.
Selwood has GC then GWS to come however has a break even of 141:/

    • Cats07091113 says:

  3. John says:

    Yes! The Podcast is here!

  4. @robcaruso3 says:

finally gotta let luke brown.. thanks 4 your help .

  5. Supercoach rookie says:

I was looking great ready to crack the 2300 mark for the first time then sam jacobs ruined it. If he had scored just 20 more points i would have done it. Ahh well. Who does everyone think is the best replacement or should I hold. Thanks for all replies. Lookin forward to rippin into another great podcast.

    • Aaron says:

Depends if you wanna spend the extra 200k and go Naitanui or if you don't wanna spend the extra cash the I'd go Kreuzer!

I'm in the same boat mate doing my head in.

  6. Matt says:

B: Goddard, Heppell, Birchall, Gibbs, Vlastuin, Terlich (laird, thurlow)
C: Ablett, Pendlebury, JPK, Cotchin, Schuey (c), Parker, OMeara, B Goodes (coloqhuan, crouch)
    R: Maric, Leunberger (daw, currie)
F: Martin, Rockliff, Roughead, Naitanui, Black, Lecras (rowe, b kennedy)

260k in the bank. What are your suggestions?

    Staker in. Who out?

Should I bring a premium in? Who?

    • SC Legend. says:

Out Rowe and Lecras/Black. (which ever one you hate more).
      In Staker and Stevie J.

      • Matt says:

        Terlich -> Staker
        Parker -> Watson

My days of having Parker as a POD are done I think.

        • pdid says:

lol, parker the POD, there to combat the decent players everybody else has with his massive scores.

    • Aaron says:

Definitely bring in Staker up forward to generate some cash, I'd go Black, and upgrade O'Meara to Watson.

    • Remy says:

Terlich has broken ribs so I would think get him out

    • chandanrajdb says:

      Hi Matt,

      Option 1:
OUT Leuenberger & Terlich (if both are out for more than 2 weeks with the injuries)
      IN: Staker & Steve J / Jobe Watson….

      Option 2:
      OUT: O'Meara / L Parker & Black / LeCras
      IN: Jobe Watson / Steve J & Staker…..

  7. Tim says:

i would have to say terlich out for staker because terlich has gone to hospital fpr scans on his ribs and if they are brocken he will be out for at least 2 or 3+ weeks on the sidelines. just have to wait on the news

  8. oliver says:

Backs: Gibbs, Hartlett, Heppell, Goodes, Terlich, Thurlow, (Stevenson, Sierakowski)
Mids: Ablett, Swan, Dangerfield, Kennedy,Shuey,Priddis,Fyfe,O'meara,(Dwyer, Blicavs)
Rucks: Bellchambers, leuenberger ( Sinclair, Hannath)
Forwards: Cox, Naitanui, Kennedy, Martin, Rockliff, Franklin, Macaffer, Rowe)

Any suggestions of what i should do, i was thinking of trading out Bellchambers and stevenson for Goddard and staker. Or should i be looking at getting rid of Sinclair instead?

    • Smittzzy says:

Cox/Nic Nat to ruck. Chop Luenberger and upgrade Macaffer or Terlich i reckon.

      • Matt says:

Why do you think Leunberger will miss? A finger is a finger. Can be strapped?

        • Smittzzy says:

A finger is gunna be sore in hit outs mate where he gets most score from

Also he could upgrade a player such as Maccafer averaging 60-70 to a player around 110 like Bartel. Its win win.

        • harry says:

          4-6 weeks

    • mate says:

downgrade dwyer to another rookie cuase your midfield looks pretty good and bring in another defender for terlich or thurlow

  9. tension says:

Do you think I can hold on to the injured Walters (Freo) for a month? He's been great so far – don't want to burn too many trades, I have only 15 trades left.

And does anyone have any thoughts on Boomer Harvey as a veteran POD? I need a M/F swing player this week. Any others mid-fwd swings I should be considering (already have Rockliff, Stevie Johnson, Dwyer, Menzel)? Thanks Community.

    • Aaron says:

Not for a month mate unfortunately.

Have a look at Martin, Bartel, even Goodes (risky) there's a few options there.

    • pdid says:

why would you waste a spot on 'boomer' harvey? lol you must be joking

  10. Jack says:

Steve j vs. nic Nat. Both around 600k and definitely in both 5 fwds. Johnson with Gold Coast and gws coming up where he averages 158 and 156 against them

    • Marc says:

Tough one. You'lll be buying Stevie J at his top price, but he's been top notch this year and appears to be over those ups and downs he was having last year. Nic Nat is almost keeping up with him for scores though and is slightly cheaper. Question though, do you have a swing option already in your FWD/RUC structure? Could be handy to have for the upcoming byes?

      • Darren says:

It doesn’t matter…. Your best 18 point scores will count irrespective of who’s playing where

  11. Aaron says:

Really like the Norm Smith Medalist and tackling machine in O'Keefe Jock!
Normally finishes the season strongly being a seasoned veteran and reasonably priced too…. Bloody like it!!!

Also Jock I think Kreuzer at 380k is extreme value for those who are looking to trade the sauce or upgrade Blicavs..

    Great podcast again fellas.

  12. Genco says:

Anyone think there's any value with Corey enright? Has Gold Coast at home, then gws, then Brisbane at home!

    • Smittzzy says:

Getten old mate, will never score you below 80 and never gets injured. Good POD not many takers this year.

      • Genco says:

Cheers mate. Am bringing him in as part of my terlich downgrade to staker.

  13. Marc says:

Bloody rucks! Bloody defense! Bloody midfielders! Bloody forwards! Bloody supercoach! Bloody Marc and his stupid selections!

Still got Jacobs who couldn’t have been any worse if he tried. Thinking of upgrading to Nic Nat, but I’m not sure if I should upgrade one of O’Meara/Moloney to a premium midfielder first. Jacobs has Fremantle next week, so you’d think after getting the sub (SC aside, was a great decision by Sando) and Freo being down to their #3 and #4 ruckmen, if he cant perform against them, then he’s got no hope. Got Maric down there too, I think I made the 2 worst ruck selections to start with!

Good to see the segments back fellas, always enjoy them. Crouching one was fired up, although I’m somewhat worried that you have some knock out drops on hand so readily.

    • Mossssssy says:

Must say I made the same two ruck mistakes, but I have to see it through and stick with my upgrade plan. Otherwise Jacobs would be goneski!

      • @MRB37 says:

I'm struggling keeping to the same plan mate. My original thinking was, stick Maric and Jacobs in and we're done for the rucks for the entire year, one less thing to think about. Instead it's been nothing but a headache!

        • dools says:

Hi MRB, The rucs the rucsa where a headache for me too however have the Big Cox (LOL) and traded Sauce out for Gwan 4 weeks ago moved Blicaves to the mids last week and brought in the OrangeRuff Happy days!
The Rucs were the hard one this year avoiding the ones every one had thank the SC Gods for NicNats 40 odd in 1st game back picked him up for a song in place of my original and POD Waters Freo (injury) Now I have to unload Rowe maybe for staker or another Ruc Fwd like Hale what do you reckon?

    • jockreynolds says:

Stay strong Marc old son!!! Stay strong mate!!! Call me a crazy old bastard but I have feeling in the waters that Jacobs and Maric will come good

      • dools says:

HiJock, great win on the W/end for JRbrumby,
I agree with you on Maric but Marc is in the "Show me on the dolly where the SC Gods touched you" Locker
so mate I'm puttin a call out for MRB to go to Pyke Syd and trade the bad Karma that has attracted the "Eye of the Gods"

        • Marc says:

Haha, nice description there Dools. I'll hold Jacobs for now, I made a promise to myself that I won't be going sideways trading and chasing scores until my team is fully set.

      • Marc says:

Thanks Jock. I reckon i'm going to put Jacobs and Maric in the same category as Birchall. They're premium picks, so i'll eat their poor scores until I upgrade the rest of my team first. Hopefully between now and then they'll start performing at a level I know they're capable of.

  14. Hank Jones says:

Great stuff boys, thanks to you blokes now pushing out DT scores above the 2G's, so thanks for doing what you do!
Just looked up Hutchings you guys spoke of -115 DT BE!. Wowzers! Some serious coin to be made there.

  15. Sloan says:

    Swan for Watson?

Not seeing the form with depleted Pies.

    • Sloan says:

Apologies, Jock and community. Wrote before listening to podcast. Didn't break 2K. Frustrated impatience.

      • Aaron says:

The Pies have a very good run coming up mate and i reckon Swanny wont be happy with his efforts and will bounce back strongly. If hes BE wasnt so high id be looking to bring him in.

  16. Sloan says:

    Better question…

    Option 1:
    Watson for Wines
    Grimley for Sinclair
+ more points and get Jobe before big boost

    Option 2:
    Hutchings for Wines
    NicNat for Sinclair
+ strengthen ruck and add almost $20K more in reserves.

    • Marc says:

Who are your current rucks, Sloan? If you've got some decent rucks, then i'd go for option 1.

      • Sloan says:

Sad sack of rucks: Blicavs, Daw, Sinclair and Rowe.

Torn, Marc. Jobe is money. Figure can get NicNat next week. But Grimley only plays one game. Ugh.

        • dools says:

Hi Sloan you are in the Hurt Locker Mate
You are in a bind Watson or Nic Nat I take it you can only afford one?
Nic Nat for 15K cheaper and will be a great swing option
Watson is an absolute gun mate but I think the boat sail a few weeks ago if I where you eye off Danger or JPK/Hannaberry after next week for the 1st 2 and get hannerberry now or even Douglas Crows ( I am seriously thinking that boy or save some coin and get S. Kerridge to facilitate upgrades next week?)

          Hope this helps

          • Sloan says:

HA! Yeah dools, thought I could ride Daw for 2-3 rounds while strengthening my mids and backs. Speaking of plum crusher, I also have a zero in my forwards. Was thinking of upgrading to Goodes. Get NicNat next week. Neglect my rucks some more. Ugh.

Kerridge looked very strong. As did Hannerberry. Good either way. Coin saving probably would work best. I might try for Danger in a couple weeks.

            Appreciate the help, dools

    • Aaron says:

I like option 1 mate but your rucks are a worry. If your gonna go option 2 I'd maybe look at Hrovat rather than Hutchings based on job security.

If your sure you can get Nic Nat next week then pounce on Jobe for sure.

      • Sloan says:

Hutchings did fairly well. You think he'll go by way of Sinclair?

        • Aaron says:

He only did well because West Coast had an injury in the first quarter, Hutchings was the sub and playing against kids.

Hrovat is in a rebuilding and struggling Bulldogs side who are blooding the youth and if they perform they are not going anywhere.

I watched the game and he looks a ripper!

Sinclair isn’t getting back into that side unless Cox gets injured or rested.

And Wines has to go! Like I said if you can get Naitanui next week then go Wines to Watson for sure, still down on he’s starting price and will finish the season in the top 5 mids.

          • Sloan says:

Would love to do Jobe but think I can't do another week with Daw. Reckon he'll be pulled this week anyhow.

Great point about Hutch, Aaron. And Hrovat did look like a player. Dogs looked like a new team. Thanks mate.

            • Sloan says:

Would you trade Viney before Wines, Aaron?

Been in boot until round 13.

          • Aaron says:

            Anytime champ

  17. koko drkalo says:

Googbye Zorko.Im not putting up with last years hype anymore. im going to Stevey J

    • koko drkalo says:

Just changed my mind and am going with Bartel instead. Im looking for a downgrade in my midfield. Any suggestions?. i want to trade either OMeara or Moloney to Hutchings from West Coast. Thanks in advance.

      • chandanrajdb says:

Hutchings JS is not soo good and also more of a SUB target…..he was actually a SUB, he was activated in the 1st qtr since one of his team mate got injured and scored around 86pts….

may be get Staker if you dont have him……by swinging one of your DPP DEF / FWD into your midfield…..

  18. Robert says:

REally need help with my team

Birchall Gibbs Hanley Goodes Terlich and Vlastin Bench is Docherty and Thurlow

Ablett swan priddis bartel moloney omeara cotchin heppell bench viney and crouch

leuenberger daw bench witts and hannath

Franklin Cloke Gray Macaffer Cox kennedy BENCH Lee and karnezi

    SOMEONE HELP ME ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Jacob says:

      Get rid of karnezis

    • Top_Cotch says:

The Berger might be similar issue as Kruezer (2-3 weeks) so out with Patty Cake or Terlich and in with Staker, Then in with Nic Nat if you can afford him for Lueyberger.

    • Aaron says:

Mate I'd look at downgrading Terlich to Staker and upgrading Daw to an ultra premium ruck if you can or if your looking for some value I'd have a look at Kreuzer at 380k and a very low BE. Put Luey on the bench for now, Brisbane have the round 11 bye anyway. So hopefully he only misses 1.

And then I'd go straight to the midfield and upgrade O'Meara & Moloney.

    • dools says:

      G'day Robert
Lueham and egg buger depending on injury seriousnes Gone replace with Cox get rid of daw/witts your choice use coin generated to secure a good journey man swing ruc fwd hopefully hale oor Ruffy both hawks if you cant afford those two e-mail me and I will tweek 4 u

  19. Callum says:

I have 15 trades left, Players i need to get out: Parker, Moloney, Jacobs, Stevenson and zorko. Who should i get rid of? I have 170k in the kitty. Need some help community.

    • GustavoMadono says:

U need to start thinking about saving your trading have a look at yourself

      • Callum says:

I had completely messed up my team before round 1, so that led to alot of trades just to get a team that scores an average of at least 2150. Though some of those trades I should not have done. I think i will just trade stevenson to staker

      • dools says:

        disagree Gustavo
You are in the trade deficit Korner
Jacobs to Pyke Syd and Zorko the Meaningless to J.Kenndey WCE or Buddy Hawksif you have the testicular fortitude T Hawkins Geelong or do you want swing Fwd Ruc players?

  20. Benny says:

maybe downgrade stevenson to a bubble rookie then moloney to a

  21. Osh says:

Does anyone think that Hutchins from WCE is a good downgrade option?

  22. Luke says:

I have Goodes, Terlich, Moloney, O'Meara, Vlastuin, Kerridge and Macaffer who are all a good price now to upgrade/downgrade. I do have $270, 800 to spare, so if I do decide to upgrade, I would be able to afford just about anyone. The issue is Im not sure which one of the above players I should hit the trade button on, and whether it should be to spend my cash upgrade to a premium, or downgrade to a cheaper rookie to make even more money. I do think I will keep Moloney, Goodes and O'Meara for a couple more weeks as they do still have the potential to rise in price still. I am then left with Terlich, Kerridge, Vlastuin and Macaffer. Which one should I trade out? And should I upgrade or downgrade them? Remember I can afford just about any player.

    • Doddy says:

I just traded Terlich who is injured and made me around $240,000 for Staker he's on the bubble.

    • Top_Cotch says:

Terlich out for mine. Two tough games coming up.

Get Jobe and also I don't think anyone can ignore Staker's potential as an F6/D6 and then eventually some mighty F7/D7 bench coverage.

All we need then is West Coast to debut some blokes called Colledge and Tunbridge – have them smash out a few 80 point games and whooska Robert's your mother's brother.

    • chandanrajdb says:

      OUT: Terlich & Moloney

      IN: Staker & Jobe Watson / Steve J / Nic Nat…..

Any premos mentioned above is really worth to bring in……..

      • Luke says:

I also have Leunberger who may be out, and Mumford as my other ruck. My emergencies are Sinclair (who has been out for a few weeks now) and Currie. Should I upgrade/downgrade Leunberger? Also keep in mind that I do have 20 trades left for the season, and want to spare atleast 4 for the finals, as Im likely to make the top 8. Should I go with the two trades this week, or 1? Or should I make no trades at all?

        • chandanrajdb says:

          Hi Luke,

Absolutely make 2 trades this week mate, if you got 20 trades left…..

If Leuenberger is OUT for more than 2 weeks with the injury…..then

          OUT: Terlich & Leuenberger

          IN: Staker & Nic Nat……

          • Luke says:

Thank you so much chandanrajdb! But shouldnt I leave Leuenberger on the bench and trade Natnui in for Sinclair who isnt playing anymore? And have Mumford as bench coverage for when Leunberger comes back?

            • SCaddict says:

My own view is that it's as good a time as any to upgrade Leuey to someone like a Cox, Nic Nat or Goldy.

He's produced some respectable but not huge scores and made us some cash but with this injury and upcoming bye it's a perfect opportunity to bring in say Nic Nat if you have the cash available. Lions also have a killer draw over the next few months.

I'll be upgrading him to either Big Boy or Mullet Maric as I can't quite afford Nic Nat right now with my other trade priorities atm like bringing in Jobe.

Spending $350K upgrading Sinclair to Nic Nat is probably using a bit too much cash with all the other ultra premium bargains around especially in the midfield.

            • chandanrajdb says:

              Hi Luke,

IMO, keeping a player who is worth around 400k (Mumford) on the bench once Leuey comes back is not worth at all……you can spend that extra $$$ in upgrading somewhere else in your team…….

              • Luke says:

Ok so who should I upgrade Leunberger to, keeping in mind I can afford any ruck. But remember I dont want to spend all my money as I do also have priorities such as bringing in Watson and so forth

  23. Liam says:

Upgraded dwyer to jimmy bartel, averaging 111?

    • chandanrajdb says:

Nice trade…..however you could go also look to get Steve J if you don't have him and if you can afford him…..averages 158 & 156 against the next 2 opponents…..GWS & GCS…..and currently in RED HOT FORM……

      • Sloan says:

As Jock mentioned, Mitch Robinson could be a more reasonably priced upgrade. $450K. 127 and 122 last two games. 22 b/e, going up $33K.

      • Liam says:

Yes I can afford him, though at 600k he is very pricey? though it is a very valid point

  24. Brian says:

    Ruck loophole? Please explain.

    • Top_Cotch says:

HI Brian, saw a team use it over the weekend. Don't know exactly how it works but he did this.

He started with Maric and Daw on the Ground and Blicavs as emergency. He rike Blicavs score velly much (a bit of Crouching jumping in there) so he then subbed Currie on to the ground and got Majak off.

Not sure if that scenario can work every week, would depend on your players and their game/s order I think.

That team as result scored 2468 an extra 93 points so I would give that a big tick.

      • Brian says:

Thanks – I get it, actually I wish I had done it myself last weekend.

  25. Remy says:

    downgrade option for Jaeger???

    • macareec says:

hutchins but job security is bad so be wary

    • chandanrajdb says:

Hutchings……in the mid…….as mentioned by "macareec" Job security is not good enough….and also more of a SUB target as well………

If you don't have Staker in your team i would probably go for him by swinging any of your DPP defenders into the midfield (i hope you have definitely one DPP player in your Defence)…..

      • Sloan says:

Hrovat. Complete gun. Came in and got 86 for the Dogs. Job security much better than Hutchings.

    • Gilly says:

It is not a true downgrade, but I am thinking of going maybe Jaeger to Luke Ball, nets you 120k and gives you a player with similar output that will probably reach 450-500k.

      What do you think?

      • FrontPocket says:

At this stage of the season you should only be doing one of the following:

1: Bringing in an ultra premium who is going to be in the top 6 scorers by the end of the season

2: Bringing in a rookie in order to generate cash and be a warm body for doughnut coverage if possible

A mid-pricer as a stepping stone to an ultra-premium is too much of a waste of a trade for mine (although I have done it in the past – which is why I know it's a waste of a trade).

  26. ally says:

i just traded out jager for watson and terlich for staker , are these good trades , originally i wanted to get rid of wines for watson and terlich for staker but fell 20k short , what u guys think ?

  27. Top_Cotch says:

    2366 this week ….. Stoked.

Going double downgrade this week to build War Chest of cash for inevitable bye issues.

Out: Heath and Mayes In: Staker and Hutchings. the Ham and egg Burger might be my only issue.

That will mean I now have $ 521k for "maybe" three upgrade trades over the bye rounds.

Watson. Gibbs and The Duffman or maybe The Knife as targets.

  28. @Bails_81 says:

BOYD anyone? 505k and a easy run. While Griffen cops the tag.. great option

  29. Andy's Aces says:

Had both Ellis and Birchal last week, sick of teams wrecking my supercoach score was 5 wins one draw. Unbeaten until these stupid coaching ambiguity. Are they really injured and should I trade either of them ?

    • Daniel says:

If you don't have anyone on the bench trade birchall

    • Jake says:

birch is playing!! and against melbourne, he will score well seeing as melbourne won't have him as their priority tag, i'll bet he will go big this week after his rest.
Ellis has a breakeven of -9 so hope he plays. You should downgrade a backman to staker if you have a heath, terlich or other backman sitting there doing little to cover or become an onfield player. Hope that helped.

  30. Shaneoo88 says:

Out Gawn, Rowe subbed into r3, Staker in. Evans out for Selwood.

    • dools says:

      Nice move
By Selwood do you mean Joel? or his WCE Bro? A hh you do realise Joel is injured(elbow and subbed likely to rest?

      • Shaneoo88 says:

Yeah, I meant Joel. If Geelong were playing Collingwood instead of Port Adelaide, he would not have been subbed off. Here is the direct quote from the Herald Sun today, "Joel Selwood was subbed off but will be fine after copping a bump on the funny bone."

Well of course he is fine thats what they say all the time..Howeva Geelong have this great thing goin' just lick 07 , 09 , 11 . They Never rely on 1 player to get the Win look at the score spread in Midfield Joel is a gun but he does not need to work he has been cruzing at 80% Not a great option he has no requirement to preform as he is not playing to his capacity because the team do NOT need him to Look at him after the Bye and then seriously think about it…..I like his Brother from WCE They NEED to win from here on in and the WCE need him to preform along with Shuey and Kerr

Hi Community. Have $6,300 in the bank.

What are your thoughts on a trade of
    OUT: O'meara + Black
    IN: Dangerfield + Staker

    Leaves me with $40k (thereabouts)

    Goddard, B, Duffield, P, Broughton, G, Terlich, D, Vlastuin, N, Thurlow, J, (Colquhoun, S, Richards, X)
    Pendlebury, S, Watson, J, Swan, D, Selwood, J, Barlow, M, O'Meara, J, Jones, M, Gibbs, B (Viney, J, Mayes, S)
    15. Leuenberger, M, Ryder, P (Witts, J + Currie, D)
    Cox, D , Westhoff, J, Franklin, L, Darling, J, Black, A, Naitanui, N (Macaffer, B + Redpath, J)

      Leuy and Macaffer OUT
      Stevie J and Staker IN

      • dools says:

Not sure about McAffer I see great thijngs for him this year

      • Jake says:

maybe terlich if he is out with ribs to staker or mayes/black if their breakevens are too high

  32. Jeremy says:

    155k in the bank

Thinking of Terlich and Neade out, Staker and Stevie J/Nic Nat in.

Side will then look like this:

Backs: Goddard, Shaw, Heppell, Goodes, Vlastuin, Staker (Webster, Frost)

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Watson, JP Kennedy, Deledio, Mundy, Priddis, O'Meara. (Kommer, Saunders)

    Rucks: Maric, Leuenberger (Blicavs, Currie)

Fwds: Cox, Rockliff, JJ Kennedy, Franklin, Breust, Johnson/Naitanui (Macaffer, Paparone)

Are these trades the right moves? If so, Naitanui or Johnson?? Seems to be a popular topic of debate this week.

    • Jake says:

exactly what i would do, stevie j will shred gold coast and gws the following weeks but he is quite pricey, will most likely miss a rest week later in the season and may go down against better teams after the byes. Nic nat will be more consistent for the rest of the season and has maric this week who has been in really poor form.
They have the same bye round to make it harder!
I'm between jobe and nic nat/stevie j myself?

  33. Tim says:

It was recommended that those who have Swan should keep him, but what about those who don't have him and looking to bring him in?

I was thinking of getting him in next week by trading out Kane Mitchell. Doing so would complete my midfield, as I currently have: Ablett, Pendlebury, JPK, Watson, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Priddis, K.Mitchell.

    • tension says:

Yep I'm interested in the answer to this one also – is now the time to go whoooooska?

    • Aaron says:

I was thinking the same thing mate. Pies have a good run from here but hes gonna drop a fair bit in price. We are most likely going to have a look at Swan for around 500k which is an absolute bargain but I think ill wanna see a bit of form first. Only averaged 98 in his last 5!

      • dools says:

        Hi Lads BUY Him Now…..KaaaaaChing

        • pdid says:

swans be is 177 why would you even consider putting him in this week. lol.

          • dools says:

So what happens when an pulls 140 and you don't have him breakeven are so missleading ….either you think he is value for the coin or yiu do'nt
If you preeive value jump if not and wait out…and watch the train pull away from the platform… The ticket is in me hand and I'm not waiting for the anouncement from the speakers I'm on the Swan Train …Destination…..GLORY!!!!

            • pdid says:

yeah, put him in man. i just see no reason to jump the gun at all. get him next week for jaeger or somebody who is about to peak, you make an extra 20k off your cash cow, swan loses 30k, and you have still only used the 1 trade. that's +50k and having swan for having the patience to wait 1 week. worth it in long run. the more you can think ahead, the more money you can save, the better your team will be come september.

obviously this is all based on 'predicting' scores, but the hard stats are there. break even 177, form has been disgraceful last 3 rounds, and the pies have sydney. that's 3 strikes and all the more reason to wait!

    • Er, Significant Jock says:

I'd wait at least 1 more week. BE is too high. I am waiting for R11, when I can get both Swannie & J. Selwood to complete my midfield by the halfway mark.

      Backline….a very different story.

  34. Locinator says:

Jock almost cried when I heard "I'm not giving in" Im gonna keep going and bang out a 2300 this week. Got Stevie J and Staker. Time to get going

  35. Aaron says:

Im looking to upgrade Dwyer in the midfield with 595,500 to spend, unfortunately I cant afford Jobe.

What are your thoughts on the best options?

    • Aaron says:

      My midfield looks like this

Gaz, Pendles, Dangerfield, Murphy, Lids, Fyfe, Dwyer, Kerrige, Crouch & Mitchell on the pine.

Have Stevie J up foward and have downgraded Terlich to Staker for the $$$

      • chandanrajdb says:

        Josh P Kennedy (Syd Swans)….$593,600…..

        • Aaron says:

was thinking JPK, has a very high BE and will drop in price. Should I not worry about that?

          • chandanrajdb says:

If you are thinking of BE and price drop may be do 1 trade this week which you have already made and get JPK next week…….

And another thing i would like to add here is IMO you shouldn't be too worried about the price drops with your Premiums in the team…..

      • Rocksta says:

Joel Selwood. You can get him for around 520K this week and he has GC at skilled next then GWS

        • Aaron says:

I'm really thinking about Joel but he doesn't like a tag and will be rested against GWS. Might wait after the bye for him, or Swanny!

  36. Remy says:

    Get Naitanui this week?

  37. Scott says:

gone for OUT luey, move nic nat to ruc and IN buddy

then not sure whether to bring OUT stevenson or neade, then IN staker

  38. Dylan says:

Stokes, Martin or Franklin with price in mind? Should I just go the proven point scorer in Dusty?

    • dools says:

Franklin mate then stokes and last man standing Dusty needs others to win the ball and supply him not like the other 2 Franklin for me Tackles Marks Goals team player

  39. Josh says:

    Ryan o'keefe worth considering?

    • Aaron says:

I think so… Good POD! If he was available in the forward line I'd be all over him.

  40. Dylan says:

Pendles or Watson? Similar price, leaning towards Pendles

    • dannyboy says:

haha i have the same problem to. leaning towards pendles to cos ive been kicking myself all season about choosing swan over him. Been watching pendles dominate all year, so time to get him in i think.

my trades this week (probably) are

      OUT terlich IN staker
      OUT moloney IN pendles

      • Dylan says:

haha yeah im almost identical. Went Swan over him as well (idiot). Going Gawn to Staker and Moloney to Pendles. As dools said, Watson scores the odd 60.

    • dools says:

Dylan Pendles for the consistant scores ….Watson for the big ones and then the flatliners either will reward you

    • Shaneoo88 says:

Pendles has a much worse be than Watson. If you can make another upgrade next week I would suggest getting Watson now, then Pendles next week

    • bout7 says:

Get rid of luey, he's injured and look to upgrade one of your rookie midfielders pretty soon.

  41. Ryan says:

I lost by 65 points on the weekend. If bloody Docherty wasnt a late in i wouldve won

  42. Rob says:

who should I get in out of naitanui, minson and goldstein?

    • Jake says:

nic nat will score more than minson for the rest of the season and wont dip down to this price for a while after his 142,148 + vs richmond, i'd go him but minson would have been nice from the start of the year!

  43. dannyboy says:

who in? pendles or watson? its a good problem to have

    • Aaron says:

Pendles basing this on he will be the second best mid behind gaz come seasons end.

  44. Daniel says:

Great podcast jock and the crew! Couple trades I've been thinking about
    Monfries to staker
    Wingard to premium
Have about $440000 for next round
Monfries to either ruck or forward premium (switch cox to forward)
    Wingard to premium
    Have about $50000 next round
Advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

    • Gilly says:

Port has a few easier games coming up might be worth hanging on to them depending on if you have other issues

  45. Callum says:

15 trades left. ! trade this week, either Terlich to staker or jacobs to staker. Leaning towards jacobs to staker, Even if terlich is out for a couple weeks, i have cover (webster) because he will only lose more, and the fact he was subbed out of the game with no injury worries me.

    • Sloan says:

Agree with you. Jacobs for Staker, for sure. More encouraged by Terlich. Other don't know extent of injury. Got Staker last round. Week early but he delivered with 98.

  46. Michael says:

    Time to get Selwood?

  47. dools says:

Minson all the way unless you want swing Ruc thing then Dog dog

  48. Mike says:

Sam Kerridge 143 on the weekend absolute gun capable of good scores now worked into starting 22

  49. Mike says:

Luke Ball good cheap option price way down on what it should be good trade in option.

    • dools says:

Good short term stopgap but I can't see Luke Ball being relevent in a sc side

  50. @Jacko2128 says:

Who to get in murphy or watson?? murphy is a steal…..

  51. @Jacko2128 says:

Who to get in murphy or watson?? murphy is a steal…..get in watson or murphy this week?

staker in for terlich or lecras?

  52. rhyan says:

A question to ALL! which MID? A.Swallow or S.MItchel?

    • dools says:

Swallow, mate losing side: 126 think? great player!! same with Mitchell however Hawks have a Gun midfield so s.mitchl is not the X factor player regularly but A. Swallow is….
      Your call

  53. HulkSmash says:

Can't thank Crimmo enough for his last minute advice on Watson instead of Boomer. It led me to a score of 2358 and into the top 5k overall.
My dilemma this week is to trade or wait for the bye rounds to start bolstering the side.
    Team is as follows:
Backs: Goddard, Hibberd, Heppell, Gibbs, Vlastuin, Terlich. (Thurlow, Sierokowski)
Mids: GAJ, JPK, Jobe, Priddis, Danger, Fyfe, Delidio Omeara (Evans, Crouch)
    Ruck: Cox, McEvoy (Blicavs, Currie)
Forwards: Buddy, Rocky, Kennedy(twinkle toes) Cox, Stevie J, Martin, Macaffer (Rowe, Kennedy.B (from pies)
Have about 200k in the bank. If anyone can help it's the JR community

    • Devan says:

u have alot of essendon players but would be silly now to trade them, would advise dropping rowe for staker, and evens for hutchings/ or upgrade terlich too a premium

      • HulkSmash says:

Cheers Devan. Yeah have had the bomber player from the start… took a punt on Hibberd and it's paid off. Rowe to Staker looks good but in hearing the Terlich news today that could be a better swap. Just don't miss those bubble boys that will play out the season.
Upcoming Byes have made me cautious as to trading in premiums prior to their bye. Thinking Post bye is the better option.

    • pdid says:

funny you were even considering boomer in the first place. you have a good team but clearly have no idea what you're doing and have just copied advice all year. 3 bombers in backline is a complete joke. the trade would be dead obvious to you if you paid any attention to any games on the weekend ( other than the essendon one )

  54. Scott says:

In need of some help this week community..
    Current team:
Goddard, Hibberd, Heppel, Birchall, Goodes, Vlastuin, Terlich, Stevenson
Gaz, Pendaz, Watson, Danger, Sidebottom, JPK, Priddis, O'meara, Mayes, Crouch
    Cox, Luey, Rowe, Witts
Martin, Rockliff, Kennedy, Naitanui, Macaffer, Kerridge, Dwyer, Neade

I definitely want to get Franklin in this week, so i was thinking since Luey has a high BE, he could get the chop with Naitanui going into the Ruc, and trading in Buddy..

Then I need to trade down one of my rookies to possibly Staker.. Not sure who to get rid of; either stevenson, mayes or neade. Mayes has the highest BE and has been dropping price very quickly.. if both Stevenson and Neade werent playing again this week i could trade out Mayes but i think Neade will be playing so not sure

After these trades, ill have banked 100k and this could be used to upgrade O'meara next week to either J.Selwood or Fyfe

    Thanks for your help!

    • bout7 says:

The Luey > Buddy trade sounds great. Especially since I think luey is out for a few weeks with a dislocated/broken finger.
For your other trade have you considered getting rid of neade, moving mayes to forward and grabbing hutchings? I think he's a good pickup this week.
Otherwise if you want staker, get rid of neade or stevenson theyve both burnt out so toss a coin!
      Hope that helped 😛

  55. bout7 says:

Hey guys, I really need people's opinions on my trades for this round.
    I was thinking
Mayes to Buddy / Stevie J
    And Viney to Hutchings
I think the hutchings trade is a must but I'm torn between Stevie J and Buddy, I just can't decide!
Buddy is really cheap and is looking like he's getting back into some form and could average 95plus here on out while Stevie J has Gold Coast and GWS next 2 weeks so he might be ready to go a couple of 150 in a row games…
    I dunno
Who should I go for? The more opinions the better!
    Thanks guys! 😀

  56. dools says:

    Wow bout7 big big questions?
SJ is the pick of the 2 mate but only on this years form last year it was the Buddy show and I think it will be again but I just have to give it to SJ so far, howver Buddy still cheap and SJ is 600K so my purse is telling me buddy but my SC Scores are say Stevie, Stevie…chant Ad nausium

    • bout7 says:

I think I have to go SJ just because of the scores he's been putting up and because of who he's playing over the next couple of weeks
Might try and nab buddy next week tho.
Thanks for your input mate 🙂

  57. Jake says:

Selwood or Watson? Selwood is basically 100k cheaper, which is the best option?

    • Sulzeer says:

compare their scores the last 6 weeks, cheaper is not always better…

  59. chandanrajdb says:

    Hello Community,

Need thoughts / suggestions / opinions on my below trades this week,

    Option – 1:
    OUT: Brown & Leuenberger
    IN: Staker & Steve J
Will be left with $21k in the warchest….

    Option – 2:
    OUT: Terlich & Leuey
    IN: Staker & Steve J
Will be left with $147k in the warchest….

So what do you guys think…..leaning towards option – 1 more at the moment, reason is L Brown will start to bleed the money if i dont get rid of him now and if Terlich is injured and not playing wouldn't lose anything…..let him be on the bench for one more week……

    Thanks Guys,

    • Jake says:

brown and then terlich next week but consider the byes, will you need brown's score to fill in?

  60. Anth says:

Does anyone think having both Nicnat and Cox is a bad idea?

    • Daniel says:

Rowe to staker and maybe leunberger to kreuzer

      • Birch's Buddy says:

Get Minson in after his bye. Maybe this week Rowe to Staker and Viney to Hrovat (I normally don't bring in a rook after a game, but this is an exception to the rule). Then next week throw Bartel in the FWD line and trade Dwyer for the best midfielder you don't have.

  62. Mike says:

what do you think about Joel Selwood

  63. Jack says:

Daniel Hannebery is $488,000. Bringing him in this week by trading Mayes to Staker and O'Meara up.
Proven himself as a long time dominant player in the league for mine, absolute bargain for someone that will average at least 110 from this point onwards. Makes my midfield Ablett, Pendlebury, Dangerfield, Cotchin, Priddis, Hannebery, Vlastuin with K. Stevens and K. Mitchell on the bench.

Will look to bring in Selwood, Swan or one of the Freo trio to complete my midfield.

Back line is set with Hurn, Heppell, Birchall, Gibbs, Shaw, Goodes with Terlich a trade next week and Webster on the bench.

Need to work on Forwards next though with Macaffer and Staker on the field with Cox, Rockliff, Franklin and Kennedy.

Stevie J and Nic Nat are just about out of reach.. Can't find any good forward options elsewhere!

  64. Osh says:

    Any recommended ruck downgrades?

    • Birch's Buddy says:

Grimley looked good in his first outing. Gorringe a bit too pricy for me. Hopefully the Pies name Grundy soon.

  65. Jake says:

    desperately need help!
i have cash from going daisy to staker. Either option will work with my team in the bye rounds.
    I can go:
    1. monfries to nic nat
    2. o'meara to jobe watson

    • Rocksta says:

Either. Both good trades. Depends on which of your lines needs another premium more desperately (Mid or forward)

    • mate says:

nic nat i reckon, depends on which trade will leave you with more money i suppose

  66. Rob says:

    kyle martin?

    FWD: T.Rockliff, J.Kennedy, L.Franklin, D.Cox, A.Walker, B.Macaffer ( S.Mayes, R.Petterd)

    Any advice??

    • Jack says:

I think Luenberger has to go. I'm thinking Matthew Kreuzer at only $380k.

Not the best mathematician but that may give you enough cash to trade Terlich to Dylan Roberton.

    • Daniel says:

      Downgrade Whitfield and upgrade talia

    • dools says:

Hi Mate, my thoughts…O'Meara out, Move walker to Mids (or Rockliff ) Trade out the Louham and egg burger move Cox to rucs You now have $911,000K in the Kick to purchase whom you want ie Ruoghead and Pyke or Stevie J ad dare I say it Blicavs up to you but coin generated will give you many options,

I think O'meara run is ending and your Rucs are broken
Hope this has not destablised your thinking but give it a go !

    • Jack says:

The perhaps good news to come out of the Rockliff injury is Sam Mayes may get an opportunity to score a few more points. I'd be looking to offload Wines for Hannebery or ditch Neade for Robbie Gray.

    • dools says:

Woah there big fella …You want to trade out J.Selwood??? and Martin??? both Avg over 100 t get in guys who are just about averaging the same?? WTF am I missing something…… there are 13 rounds left and your trading for the byes and you are in 5th of your league…STOP stop stop Never trade a premium EVER look to your PT ADL player Neade and Pittard trade down pocket the coin and wait out till next week….Tell me you will listen to me the SC Gods are fickle and you have to ride the lows with the high's mate..

      • Curtis says:

What can i do then got 3 of the best guys in my league during the byes and dangefields team the round 13 bye what about pittard and neade out and hutchings and johnson (dockers) in (switch mayes fwd)

i agree with dools. I thought you were joking when i saw selwood and martin that is so stupid. selwood will go nuts in the next to weeks and martin will bounce back

i think the rock has had a niggle that has caused him to get some 60/70 scores

  71. Curtis says:

Hey guys can any 1 explain the bye rounds to me please i know you geth the points from the best 18 but does that 18 mean you get the guys from the bench and u have like 10 fowards scoring and 4 mids and 4 backs and how many trades are you alowed cheers to anyone who can help.

    • Jake says:

you get the scores from the top 18 on the field, so only 6 forwards/backs, 8 mids and 2 rucks can score, inconvenient if you have each line not balanced but use dual positions to get around it, i have vlastuin in my mid to swap with gibbs, goddard, heppell, goodes or hartlett if i need during the byes, good luck.

  72. bout7 says:

    Are these good trades?
    Luey to Kreuzer
    Mayes to Stevie J
Is it worth making these trades and missing Staker and hutchings? Or should I be grabbing them before they go up and get Stevie J next round?

  73. Cvin says:

I've got Zieball with a three week suspension, should I trade to Jobe Watson, or hold?

    • bout7 says:

3 weeks=trade in my opinion. Can't afford to let all that premo talent go to waste.
Actually, only trade him if you are looking to get a high overall ranking or are depending on him to win a few close league matches over the next few weeks…
Otherwise hold and use your trades for more useful things like upgrading a rookie to jobe watson!!!

      • bout7 says:

Also depends who's on your bench to cover for him…

      • Cvin says:

            • dools says:

              Terlich Inj maybe one week
              Thurlow rested
Swan not firing but nice run B4 the bye
              Zieball rubbed out for 3
Luey 3-5 weeks no coverage in the rucs…Trade out is a must
              replace with Cox
Rocky gone for 1 week and then the bye
Yeiks mate with only 15 trades I would probobably just trade in just one player if Cox moves to fwd line Franklin / roughhead DPP
              or Walker, Stokes or Hale
But ther is plenty out there mate I hope this has helped or set your own thoughts …Good luck what ever you decide mate

        • bout7 says:

          No problem.
I would personally choose gazza over watson any day just because of the consistent ultimate premium output you will receive from him. Grab him and watch as he delivers the goods.
Having said that watson is not far behind and is a fair bit cheaper at the moment, so I'd say you're gonna get a higher output from gazza but he will cost you more. Your choice…

  74. Daniel says:

Thinking about upgrading o'meara but to who? About $550000 or less thanks

    • Hayden says:

Dane swan mate. and if you already have pendels get swan in after the bye
      other options

    • Logan says:

Luxury picks in JSelwood, Swan etc. (high BE's though). Could see Selwood smash his BE this week.

    • Daniel says:

Have all except selwood thinking after wingard has played gws get selwood in

  75. Timothy says:

    Any news on Charlie Dixon??

  76. ray says:

    Hannabery or priddis

    • Hayden says:

Priddis but if you have the extra $$ i would get in either swan selwood or murphy

  77. falcon says:

WAIT ON NIC NAT so he scored 140 two weeks in a row, but don’t forget his coming back from a serious injury and there is no way he can maintain his current score. There are plenty of cheaper value ruck upgrades out there

    • Rocksta says:

Nick Nat is a stud, and more than just a Ruckman.
He looks to have gone up yet another level this year and I reckon get used to the 120+ scores.
Luey out for Nic Nat this week.

  78. Hayden says:

Any sugestion for trades next week with 190,000 in the bank

    • Robert says:

I would Trade stevenson to thurlow

And Leuy to Nicnat or Mcovoy

    • Logan says:

Strong team mate. See you held on to Kerridge …. good one.

1st priority: broken burger has to go … maybe to NicNat or Minson or Goldstein or McEvoy (in that order imo)
Other priorities: Stevenson & Wines …. trade them ideally to Hanley/Duffield(R12) & Selwood(R13)/Swan(R14)

  79. Curtis says:

    Opinions Please

    Option 1
    Pittard OUT
    Neade OUT
    (Mayes fwd)
    M.Johnson IN
    Hutchings IN
    $35,100 left

    Option 2
    Wines OUT
    Viney OUT

    Hutchings IN
    Mundy IN
    $56,400 left

    Option 3
    Birchall OUT
    Wines OUT

    M.Johnson IN
    Hutchings IN
$336,900 left to get in either barlow, watson, hannebry or stanton next week (trade out pittard, neade and vinney then)

    • Hayden says:

Looks like you want to get M.Johonson, not sure why. but if i had to pick 1 i would say option . also dont trade out Birchall

      • Curtis says:

Which one sorry and I wanted to get in Johnson because he's been playing a sweeper across half back and a bit of forward been getting a fair few above 90

    • dools says:

Curtis I need 2 see your team and how much coin and trades left?

      • Curtis says:
heres my team and have $77,700 in the war chest and 28 trades left

        • dools says:

Hi Curtis, I see a very solid team at the moment mate. have you traded this week already? I ask because you wanted Stevie J and from what I see you already had him in your Post ealy in the week. So I'm a bit confused on that point.
DT is not my thing so pricings are weird for me.
Your team is well on its way to domination from what I've seen in a SC sence b ut DT is scored differantly

          • Curtis says:

Nah i didnt want steve johnson i wanted michael johnson from the dockers i just need points because im versing a guy who got over 2000 last week and versing 4th 7th and 5th in my league over the bye rounds so dont know which stars to get cos i really want mundy, barlow, watson, stanton and hannebry (stanton cos hes under 500 but problem is if i get the bombers then a fair few of my premiums are out when i vs the 4th team in my league

            • Curtis says:

Ive just had an idea whasts your opinion:
              Macaffer OUT
              Wines OUT
              Hutchings IN
              Bartel IN

              • dools says:

Why not Dwyer he will not play Injury
Wines should have gone 2 weeks ago so if it means J.Bartel do it! Good trade

  80. Robert says:

    Leuenberger out for 6 weeks

Moloney breakeven to high for him

    need your help

    Moloney to Jobe

    and berger to……..

Thinking of putting cox in the ruck ( he was in my forward line) and im needing a forward costing around 485,500 and thoughts???????

  81. Hayden says:

You could get Tomo Hawk at 380.000 he will make some cash. But if you want somneone at that amount, you could go Lance franklin, if you already have him look at mid fwds

  82. Adrian says:

    Hi all

I am trying to get a get RUC i.e. Will Minson or Naitanui as my RUC is light at the moment.
What would be a good trade out.
Maybe bring in Staker for one of my BACKS for FWDS?

With my current team looking like this.
Def: Goddard, Gibbs,B. Goodes, Hartlet, Terlich, Vlastuin, (J. Clarke / Thurlow)
    Mids: G. Ablett, D. Swan, J. Kennedy, Murphy, Dangerfield, B Harvey C. Wingard, O'Meara (J. Viney, Crouch)
Rucks: Jacobs, Rowe, (Witts & Currie)
Fwds: Cox, Bartel,J.J. Kennedy, Franklin, Westhoff, S. Dwyer, ( Kerridge & Mayes)

    • Logan says:

If Rowe isn't named which is most likely, trade Rowe, swap Cox to ruck and bring Staker to fwd line.

Upgrading Hoff & Wingard to ultra prems should be your other high priorities.

    • Brendon says:

Considering Terlich will be unavailable for a minimum next 2 rounds (injury/bye) I would trade Terlich for Staker and bank the 224k.
Then swing Cox into the ruck and trade Rowe for a premium forward.
Depending on your bank balance, look at players like Dusty / Stevie J / Stokes / Roughead.

  83. dools says:

Terlich to miss most likely just 1 week …Awesome News

    • micko says:

is that certain or just a rumour?

      • dools says:

G'day micko, Terlich named in first 22 on feild but I think with soreness maybe Vest material or worst case Late Withdrawal

  84. Peter says:

Hey huys what are your thoughts
    Viney OUT
    Lycett OUT
    Hutchings IN
    Crozier IN
any other rookies that can come in i can go any position i got dual pos fowards in every position ideas would be awesome

    • micko says:

My thoughts… Crozier is a tagger, will never pour on the points.. Good player but not for supercoach pts

  85. joe says:

    guys who should i bench
    dwyer or staker?

  86. Micko says:

I need help.. Wanna upgrade to Naitnui.. Who should I trade???

    Dwyer or Swan..

Swan is a premium I know but his form is down!

    Dwyer is on the rise..

If I were to get rid of Dwyer, I’d be left with $13,000 in the bank for next trade..

But if I was to get rid of swan I’d have $203,000 left in the bank to possible trade in Martin, cotchin, Stevie J or even Mitchell.. In one trade only..

    My current midfield is:

    (Crouch / K.mitchell)

Also if was to sell swan I could then bring in Dwyer to midfield which will give me that mid/fwd options for the byes..

    Any thoughts will be appreciated!

    • dools says:

Hi mate trade O'Meara mate BE 70 odd he is starting ti slow down do not get rid of Swan great next 3 rounds if he does not preform b4 by then trade (Rd 13)
      Hope this helps

  87. Micko says:

    Terlich is listed to play?!?!?
    What’s the go?

  88. SCattery says:

i have traded o'meara down to staker and put dwyer on my midfield bench, should i upgrade dwyer this week? If so who should i get? or i could hold and use the money for the bye round upgrades?

  89. Phil says:

Need to downgrade either Dwyer or Terlich to get Nic Nat. Is there any Foward or Backline rookies to pick up? (already got staker)

  90. Train says:

Who do people think i Should upgrade D.Martin to, Stevie J or Son of Tim Watson?

  91. Mitch says:

Hey Jock, love the website. Was wondering what was your thoughts are on a defence trade Heppel vs Burgoyne. Looks like the Hawks are playing him through the middle this week and Burgoyne is a quality user on the other hand Heppel is young and has a bit of Joel 'the animal' Selwood about him. Thoughts? Other trade targets?

  92. dools says:

Your not upgrading Train with that trade side ways at best mate unless you got a good stratigic plan but it's a No Go from me

  93. Ando says:

Leuy to Gorringe or K Stevens to M Hutchings?
