It’s Round 17 this week, which means we’re heading into the final stages of the Supercoach regular season and are about to head into league finals. Most of you are probably done with your rookie picks by now and have reach the ultimate, full-premo status. If you have, congratulations, you probably don’t need to read this! But if you’re still looking for that one last downgrade option to have some cover through the Finals, hopefully we have something for you here.

All this info was from the week before!!!

    • BarronVonCrow says:

Come on, if freaking Damien Barrett and co can get away with bringing up old rumours constantly why can't I do it with my work?

  2. Nifty says:

    Yep, all Round 15 games..

  3. Florence Maxwell says:

Thanks Barron. Not your best work though mate! How about some action from last round?

  4. Lekdog says:

    I fixed my mistake everyone!

    • Florence Maxwell says:

      Are you sure mate?

    • Lazza says:

Off topic … Barron can you fix Channel 7s huuge mistake … Bruce Macavaney for the cricket coverage !! Got to be kidding.. unless they are removing him from the footy … gee, that’d be special

  5. Floz says:

I see… You've gone and updated the R15 review to R17 but you've left this awkward R16 review up here.

  6. Chief says:

Bring in Macrae next week after huge price drop. Thoughts?

    • SC_Kev7 says:

If he returns and looks like the point scoring pig he was earlier in the year then lock

    • Lazza says:

Some gooduns coming back …. Macrae, Greene, Darling, Webster all might be good buys ina couple of weeks..

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

I am circling Macrae. I have Parker……….If Parker flops again this week I will have enough cash with 5 trades left to pull the straight switch.

  7. Rivo says:

Re-post – need some help on this one….

Kind of stuck on 6 trades and $32k. Seeking help please Community?

D: Lloyd, Simpson, Yeo, Sicily, Laird, Austin (Mihocek,
    Ridley);
    M; Titch, Cripps, JPK, Danger, Zerrett, Oliver, Cogs, Dusty, (Ahern, Giro, J.Smith);
    R: Gawn, Grundy, (Olango)
    F: Heeney, T-Mac, Gray, D.Smith, Walters, Lambert, (Higgins, T.Smith).

    1. Hold – wait for more cash to get the final D6?
    2. Austin & T.Smith to Powell & Doedee
    3. Austin & T.Smith to Powell & Webster
    4. Austin & Ridley to Witherden & B.Lynch?

    • Rivo says:

Apologies – option 4 should read as Austin & Mihocek…

    • Russty_ says:

Hey Rivo, Austin's been doing ok mate as has Higgins and Ahern, J.Smith copped an injury last week and Giro's a bit of a low scorer. T-Smith's probably the only one who needs to go.
Could just do the one this week, T-Smith to Powell and cash up…then you could go Austin to the best you can afford the week after if you want to.

      • Rivo says:

Thanks Rusty. That could work. Powell not going to do much but his DPP helps.

    • Cobee Bear says:

I like option 4, but no harm in holding off either and letting austin and ahern fatten up a bit. Mihocek should keep making coin as well until Reid returns, unless Moore displaces him first

    • Derek says:

i think there is better value in the forwards at the moment.

Austin to Powell (via T-Mac – to defense)

      TSmith to Mundy, Hogan, Riewoldt.

or you upgrade Higgins and get anyone you like.

      • Rivo says:

Interesting option Derek, though it does remove the DPP swing with Sicily.

        • Derek says:

having a swingset with two premiums doesn't give you much advantage

          • Rivo says:

How about swing T-Mac to defence, trade Austin & T.Smith to Nathan Murphy (DPP) and Mundy?

  8. PIES CAKEWALK 4 FLAG says:

    FAKE PREMO DEATHTRAP!

1-2 mid pricers will help for the 15-20 that will kill your team and then STUCK FRUSTRATED with them because you are out of trades!

    WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN?

    • Lazza says:

Stuck and frustrated with which? The mid-pricers or the premos? If the premos, then it’s only 1-2 (which is the cover you’re suggesting, I think) and will probably not amount to much either way.. it’s only the difference… premos are premos cos they perform better than Mids over time.. more often than not..

If short on trades then, yes it could be foolish to premo-out and be at the mercy of the SC gods.

  9. lol says:

DEF: Simmo, Laird, Yeo, Sicily, mcdonald, ryan ( c'0 shea, mihcoeck)

Mid: titch, cripps, danger, gaff, merrett, martin , crouch, cogs ( brodie, barry, connor)

Ruck: nic nat, gawn ( cameron)

Fwd: heeney, gunston, smith, mclean, ryan, ahen ( smith, keefe)

123k in the bank and 6 trades
    feedback would really help

    • Russty_ says:

You're in a bit of a pickle in your fwd line mate, Ryan won't play because of the car crash thing and he was drinking and out too late when it happened, Tim Smith no certainty either, maybe you could bring Will Powell in for Ryan or Smith this week and make some cash to bring in a cheapy premo next week, could also get Sier in for Barry for some extra cash but that'd be using 2 trades obviously, if Smith plays this week it'll get you through the week but you still need to premo up that forward spot…and you'll still have Ahern.

Could also swing Sicily or McDonald forward and have Mihocek and Ahern onfield I guess without trading.

  10. Sc_Wow says:

    G’day fellas

  11. Steeeve says:

Nathan Freeman a good chance to debut. Good. Makes him less of an option for my starting side next year since we will play 4 games then break down.

  12. AuroraBorealis?! says:

So apparently Liam Ryan wasn't dropped due to lack of form, but because he crashed his car while drink driving last monday. Cheers for the donut last week and probably this week you prick

    • Russty_ says:

Hey Aurora, he wasn't charged with drink driving as I read but he had consumed alcohol and was also out too late breaking the club's code of conduct guidelines, he will play for East perth this week though.
Apparently there's still a Police investigation going on too, but I think if he was drunk driving he would've already been suspended by the Club.

      • AuroraBorealis?! says:

Oh you're right, the article i read said "(Liam Ryan) had been drinking alcohol in the lead up to his car crash last monday". My brain just interpreted that as drink driving but i see what you're saying

    • Geronimo says:

      Surely you have trades left?

  13. Dale says:

would like peoples feedback on my team and trade suggestions..

DEF: Yeo, Laird, Simpson, Hurley, Webster, Hibberd (Naughton Taylor)

MID: Danger, Mitchell, Oliver, Beams, Cognilio, Rocky, E.Curnow, Martin (holman Ahearn E.Phillips)

    RUCK: Gawn NicNat (Olango)

FWD: Heeney, westhoff, gray, D.Smith, Sicily, McLean (T.Smith Battle)

    7 trades remain & 78k.
    1. Nicnat to goldy/grundy is a must in the next week or two.
    2. Holman to maybe sier, narkle or lynch or Trengove even
    3. Hibberd to maybe wingard via sicily DPP

feel free to disect my team always love an opinion from others

  14. Shake_n_Bake_ says:

    Bont out for 3 weeks.

  15. BigAl_15 says:

Who do I pick for my final premo? I'm upgrading Stephenson and I'm not sure whether to go Wingard or Breust. Any thoughts?

    • Cobee Bear says:

Wingard if he keeps playing his current role will probably outscore Breust

  16. Trades says:

Bring in Trengove and Lynch to sure up bench
Or just bring one in and upgrade Shaw to Sicily/McDonald

    • INPieman says:

I wouldn't have much hesitation in trading Shaw to Sicily

      • Holty01 says:

Yep. If i had a few more trades left id be moving Shaw on for Lloyd.

        • Trades says:

590 for a defender is insane

          • Holty01 says:

Yep but if you had the money and trades left once being full premo, it is a luxury trade.i wouldnt encourage it if you had more upgrades to make

            • Trades says:

              10 trades, full premo
Weak links: Shaw, Parker, Martin, Nank ( although he's pulled a good couple)

  17. Holty01 says:

Wow Sloane has just signed on for 5 years with the Crows. With all the media talk, was almost certain he was returning to Victoria.

    • INPieman says:

5 years for a bloke who's turning 29 early next year is generous. Then again the Pies gave Wells 3 years at age 32

      • neil demons delight says:

guarantee you the dogs regret Boyd's contract. Both wells and Sloan are injury prone big time

        • INPieman says:

Boyd stepped up when it mattered most & won the Dogs a flag. Probably more than they hoped for

          • neil demons delight says:

So true mate and did well in both ruck and fwd but not now Though I would agree with you more if Labumba had have won us a flag Thanks .for reminding me about prince grrrr

            • INPieman says:

It doesn't sit well that the Prince is a premiership Pie. I photoshopped him out of that team photo

  18. TBone_9 says:

Can any Collingwood fans give me more insight into Sier’s JS? Looking to use a trade to bring in either one of Sier (swing Ahern to fwd), or Powell to cover my fwd bench for backup cover. Cheers guys 🙂

    • INPieman says:

I was watching him at the game last week. He lacks pace. It's a glaring weakness. Very good size but. Elliott & Moore to come back. But there not mids. Aish also close to returning who is more likely to challenge for his spot. Don't expect him to see out the home & away season. He's also highly injury prone

      • TBone_9 says:

Cheers Pieman! Especially with you guys pushing for top 2, makes me feel wary of any rookie that’s not played the whole year so far. Will consider either Powell, or bringing in a Trengrove or even Shuey as a M9! Shuey very tempting at that price

  19. Derek says:

i can't believe they have taken Cyril off Supercoach.

  20. Sausy says:

Who can I trade in for $425K that might do ok. Already have McGovern.

  21. Sausy says:

Looks like nobody is interested in helping a new SCer with a very ordinary team trying for his 9th win?

    • Audrey Horne says:

To be fair you’ve given next to no info. What position, how many trades etc, any cover/dpp to consider, which McGovern are you referring to? I could recommend a $400k ruck but could be completely pointless.

    • Derek says:

      What position?

  22. Cobee Bear says:

    Logan Austin injured

    • Audrey Horne says:

2 weeks they’re saying. Logan to Brad Lynch will be popular.
