THE CHEAT SHEET Round 13

Filed in Supercoach by on 13/06/2018 • views: 9314
Hey look! More teams that we can select players from without worrying about the bye! Hooray!
Now listen, I know I have made an arse of myself in some of these little blurbs, but please forgive me. I had to conjure this up in no time flat before the AFL has decided thatΒ Thursdaynight games are good for…what are they good for…oh yes, TV ratings.
The AFL love their TV ratings, but that rant is for another time perhaps.
Moving on from that, I caution you against Ollie Wines because he scored 142 without you, and you’re not going to get it back. You can try but I’m pretty sure it left with my sanity. Except my sanity left a long time ago. Who am I? Nobody knows anymore. Where am I? I wish I knew.
I’m losing my mind, because these bye rounds are hard.
They’ve done studies, you know. 60% of the time, we forget about Ed Curnow every time, and we shouldn’t do that because he is going very well this year and is on track to be a top 10 midfielder.
Matthew Kreuzer is back and going beautifully for the Blues after a bumpy start, and Hawthorn forward Jack Gunston is as reliable as ever for our forward lines this year.
Without further ado, the Cheat Sheet everyone!

Ripping stuff Damo xoxo

ALSO, while I'm here – Thursday night teams!

So much for Matt Suckling as a smokie, and Tom Jonas you son of a-

PORT ADELAIDE

In: T.Marshall, L.Thomas, J.Hombsch
Out: J.Watts, J.Neade, T.Jonas (hamstring)

WESTERN BULLDOGS

In: Z.Cordy, M.Wallis, L.Webb, S.Biggs
Out: M.Suckling (injured), D.Morris (injured), T.Dickson (injured), J.Roughead

2. Nick says:

My plan was to trade Goldstein to Naitanui or Kreuzer this round, now that Goldys got 4 tons in a row should I hold off on the trade and maybe just get Grundy later? Obviously already have Gawn

• Steeeve says:

I'm keeping Goldy. His last few rounds are tantalising. Finals time.

3. TBone_9 says:

Hey guys, looking to get rid of Nank. He’s done his job up to this point so I can either grab Kreuz this week as a differential, grab Stef next week and let Nank bleed some cash or grab Grundy next week for overs. Cheers πŸ™‚

• Lazza says:

I’m thinking similar Nank to Nic Nat.. but reconsidering my options .. may go Gawn to Nic Nat keep Nank for a week then trade him to either Grundy or Kreuzer..
gives me two on the park each week but will leak $$… dilemma or dill

• TBone_9 says:

Gday Lazza, I like the Nank to Nic Nat move, considering him too! But wouldn’t even consider trading Gawn. How many trades do you have left mate?

4. Matho says:

Have held Bulldogs Naughton as he was ok before his ankle injury in the first minute of his game 3-4 weeks back. Disappointed he wasn’t ready for this bye round. Grrrr. SC sucks sometimes

5. Josh says:

I have 12 trades left, 82k in the bank.
Will have19 playing this week, 18 if Duman isn't picked. Do I trade Fritsch to JJK, or hold for a week. I will probably need to make 2 trades next week. Any advice is much appreciated.

• SC_Kev7 says:

You could probably squeeze a bit more cash out of of Fritsch but JJK's b.e is 40 this week. You'll be paying more for JJK if you do the trade next week. I'd pull the trigger, Josh

6. TOPHAWK1 says:

Nice cheat sheet Damo! You are right about Giro being the most attractive rook this week.

Are coaches considering culling a ripe rook and bringing in Giro this week to raise some fast cash? I am seriously considering it especially if fattened rooks like Murphy or Ronke are omitted. I also have Guelfi and ZGL. Those two still have some cash to make. Then next week, I will have plenty of coin to grab another two premos to be virtually full premo with 9 trades left. What are others doing?

• BrownlowBoy says:

Murray, Langdon, Spargo for Giro, McLean and Gaff

• TOPHAWK1 says:

Nice BB!

How about this little trio combo?

OUT- Toby Nankervis, Michael Hibberd, Nick Holman.
IN- Mathew Kreuzer, Chad Wingard, Will Brodie.

Warchest grows to $210K for two big upgrades next week.

• BrownlowBoy says:

I like it. I'm holding Nank because I think he should score well verse Geelong.

• SC_Kev7 says:

The Chad burns never healed for me, Hawk. Bloody gun when Ken chucks him in the middle but he doesn't do it often enough. Like the Nank to Kruze trade though

• Sc_Wow says:

To be honest if I’d held hib all this time I’d want to treat myself to something a little better than chad

• Cpt says:

Traded in Simpson (too good to ignore and BE low) and Westhoff (will ton up against my Doggies.

Holman, Doedee, Fritsch gone next week for Gaff, McDonald and Josh Kelly (Simi POD).

• Josh says:

Why are you calling them fat? leave them alone, what did they do to you? FATTY

• Rivo says:

Hibberd, Fritsch (yes it hurts) & Henry to Simpson, Gray & Giro.

Will get me one off full premo & maybe dealing with Petracca next week.

7. dontblushbaby says:

Captain VC – some might go Gray tomorrow night, but any one got the balls to go Rocky ? Well have ya ?

I suspect Fyfe into Mitchell will be the most popular imo over the week ?

8. Noah says:

Should i trade Walters, Fritch and Guelfi for Ed Curnow, Shannon Hurn and Ahern – leaves me with 10 trades and 1 till full premo?

9. HeathLegend says:

Hey lads. Curre team as follows with 187k in the bank and 10 trades remaining.

Lloyd Laird Ryan
Simpson Doedee Rice – (Ridley Okeefe)

Danger Fyfe Titch
Duncan Cripps Oliver
Holman Banfield – (Ahearn Spargo Coniglio)

Grundy Gawn – (nuff)

Heeney McLean Gray
Fritsch Walters Fogarty (Guelfi T Smith)

I originally planned to get rid of Doedee for Sicily and Banfield to Rocky but with Walters now wanting to be Mundine for a few minutes I was thinking to go Doedee to Hurn and Walters to Sicily with Spargo being cashed out for Giro to leave me with 19 on field this round and 15 instead of 14 on field before trades next round.

Option A) keep Walters, Doedee to Sicily and Banfield to Rocky

Option B) Walters to Sicily and Doedee to Hurn

Option C) Any other suggestions? Cheers lads

• SC_Kev7 says:

G'day Heath, I like your original plan. Cuts a few R14 rookies which will help next week.

10. TIGESB2B says:

I'd keep Doedee as D6 for the time being and focus on getting in another premo fwd and/or mid b4 worrying about him. Like Spargo to Giro, Holman to J Kelly and Walters to Sicily and $100K in the bank.

11. Josh says:

Ronke ($321,500) –> Giro ($102,400)
Spargo ($238,000) –> Curnow ($569,000)
Duman ($198,200) –> Simpson ($495,500)

????

12. TommyC99 says:

Thoughts on Chad Wingard as an F6/7 loop? Or should I just spend the extra cash and get gray in? I only have 9 trades left after this and still got a few upgrades to go so im not sure if the Wingard risk is al that worth it, but it allows me the extra funds to make going full premo easier

• Defying_Madness says:

I think I am doing it, I have never been burnt by him so I figured now is the time to get hurt

13. Chief says:

Thoughts on these trades:

Spargo to Giro
Murphy to Yeo

14. KSinny says:

Who to get for $552k? Could get either a forward or a Midfielder using DPP.

15. Cpt says:

Josh Kelly – Bang Bang

16. Nuggety says:

Gunstan? you cant be serious? Wingard much better value than the hawk….

17. James says:

Spargo to Giro and Henry to Gray, thoughts?

18. Noah says:

Ahern or Giro?

19. jam says:

is De Goey going to get the midfield time to make him an option?
Do we wait on Ahern rather than go on Giro?
I have one defence spot left simpson or crisp? (have laird, hurley, webster, a brayshaw, sicily) didnt want yeo, would consider hurn though.

20. NoLanguage says:

Hibberd – Ryan
Spargo – Giro
Fritsch – Robbie Gray

Leaves me with 10 trades, $117k & 18 onfirled (if Austin and Dusty are both named). Thoughts?

• SC_Kev7 says:

Does trading in Ryan limit your on field players for R14?

• NoLanguage says:

Hey Kev,

Yeah it does, leaves me with 16/17 depending on whos named. Could go with Howe or another premo defender whos had their bye. Any suggestions?

21. Connor says:

Kruezer vs Naitanui??
Comments much appreciated – not gonna be able to afford Grundy.

• Connor says:

I would go Naitanui every day of the week if he was played 90% TOG but he's not so…

• Russty_ says:

NicNat has a nice 3 round average of 118 even with his reduced gametime.

• Mystic_Mac says:

He's my smokey VC this week. Hoping Simmo ups his TOG now that he's got through the first half of the season unscathed.

22. oliverfisher says:

Was going to bring in Titch, JJK and Kruezer for Brayshaw, Smith and Lycett. Then next week I would go Henry to Sicily. Unfortunately, I just realised this will only leave me with 17 on the field this week. As an alternative, I can trade out Spargo instead of Brayshaw, but this will leave me with only 17 on the field next week after the Sicily trade, so I would then need to downgrade Brawshaw to someone. Alternatively, I could swap Savage to Hurley, or downgrade Rice next week. My last thought was to complete the JJK and Kruezer trades and then downgrade Fritsch to Wingard to use as my F7.

23. Stupid Coach says:

Greetings Community. Nice work with the Cheat Sheet Damp. Agree that the only winner with Thursday night football is Channel 7. 14 trades and $169k in the bank. Initially was going to trade Spargo to Ahern until I realised he has the bye this round. So will trade Spargo to Giro (if named). Need some advice on my second trade. Should I go Guelfi/ZGL to Westoff/R Gray (leaves me around 50-80k) or trade Dunam (if not named) to Simpson.

• SC_Kev7 says:

Prefer the Simpson trade. Hoff and Gray have three figure b.e’s, not unattainable but their price won’t move heaps. Simpson’s is 70 something.

• Stupid Coach says:

Thanks SC_Kev7. I just worked out that trading in Simpson will only leave me with $7k in the bank which could be a problem down the track with future trades (particularly next round). My other option is that I can move Sicily into defence via Keefe DPP, trade Guelfi/ZGL to Westoff or Gray and pick up Simpson next week. Unless he has an absolute blinder against Freemantle (which is a possibility) I should still be able to afford him. Thoughts???

• Florence Maxwell says:

Yeah cheers Damp

• Jace says:

Going to be very wet in adelaide for the game tonight, scores may not be as high as normal.

• Stupid Coach says:

Thanks Jace. That's why I am leaning towards bringing Robbie Gray as he might do well in the wet conditions.

• Mythbuster says:

macrae went 170 in his last wet game this year

24. Westy says:

Current team – need advice – I'm putting my bye people in brackets so to give a better indication of non bye structure
D (McDonald) Laird, Savage, (Hibberd) Austin, Murphy – Heron, (Keeffe) – This needs boosting
M Macrae (VC), Fyfe, Mitchell (C), Cripps, Martin, (Coniglio) (Merrett) Rockliff, – Holman, Higgins, (Spargo) – Not entirely happy with Martin or Merrett but brought Rockliff in at rock bottom price.
R (Gawn), Nankervis – Crossley
F Heeney, McLean, Sicily, Franklin, (D Smith) (Hogan) – Henry (Guelfi) – I'm relatively happy with the 6 starting forwards ultimately
299K in the bank 10 trades left

2 proposed trades I'm relatively solid on being
Hibberd & Spargo -> Simpson & Giro – this ends up with 318K in the bank

What is worth looking at as Trade 3 to help maximise points and round 14 cover? I was thinking Murphy to Yeo or Hurn – this seems like the obvious one, but I'm keen for other comments.

• Finnius says:

Murphy to Yeo is perfect Westy. Don't even think about it.

• Westy says:

Team as of now with Round 14 byes shown
D McDonald, (Laird), Simpson, Hurn, (Savage), (Austin), – Heron, Keeffe
M Macrae (VC), (Fyfe), Mitchell (C), Cripps, (Martin), Coniglio, Merrett, Rockliff, – Holman, (Higgins), Giro
R Gawn, (Nankervis) – Crossley
F (Heeney), McLean, Sicily, (Franklin), D Smith, Hogan – (Henry) Guelfi

$38K in bank
Potentially
Henry -> Ahern,
Nank -> Kreuz or similar
Holman -> upgrade – alternatively could go Holman to Ahern and Henry to JJK.

• Westy says:

Went Hurn for POD. Silly Westy!

25. neil demons delight says:

great cheap sheet as usual Damo For me its who to get for Nank Kruze or Nic Nac NDD

• Sc_Wow says:

Both have similar difficulties in terms of their runs home. I’d put Nic Nat slightly ahead but will be close

26. ATeam12345 says:

Warning to everyone, take note of last years bye period… almost every team had a bad, bad game after having their bye.
I would hesitate on bringing anyone in after their bye. Guaranteed they'll be cheaper next week except for Kennedy who would probably break even. Unless you must have them in…

27. Gem says:

195K – 15 Trades – Would love to know what your best trade advice this week.
DEF: Laird, Simpson, Shaw, Austin, Doedee, Yeo, (Cole, L Murphy)
MID: Rockliff, Danger, Fyfe, Dusty, Titch, E Phillips, Petracca, Brayshaw, (Spargo, Holman, Cogs)
RUC: Gawn, NicNat (Olango)
FWD: Heeney, Maclean, Sicily, Buddy, D Smith, Billings, (Guelfi, Fritsch)

28. Nadonis says:

What are everyone’s thoughts on Gaff vs Curnow? Cannot split them….Curnow slight edge I think for his ceiling.

• Simo036 says:

Curnow for me

• Naden Scarfone says:

Thinking the same, forgive my ignorance as I have not watched Carlton all year but does Curnow still get the odd tag job? That's the only thing stopping me…

• Doc says:

He's tagged people all year, however it's more of a run with role in that he gives them a little bit of attention but also snags a fair bit of the bill himself rather than just smothering the other player all day.

• Finnius says:

I'm going Gaff. I like his age and durability more. I don't like picking older players who suddenly seriously lift their output (e.g. Hurn as well), for I often don't see a sustainable reason for this. I will probs be proven wrong by Curnow, but Gaff is more of a natural talent as well, and 20k cheaper.

• Nadonis99 says:

Looks like a flip of the coin decision, I am leaning towards Gaff though…

29. Noah says:

Mclean or Hurn?

30. BrownlowBoy says:

Will people select Liam Ryan if he's named this week?

• KSinny says:

I would've if he hadn't gone up in price

• Finnius says:

need all the cash I can get atm. Doesn't give enough value for me.

• Scoops_McYoung says:

I feel most rookies we bring in from now most probably won't be traded out, unless you have a significant amount of trades.

Therefore, does he provide adequate bench cover from here until the end of the year?

If he puts out two 50-60's over round 13/14, is that worth the trade?

Just my two cents.

31. WhySoSerious says:

Call me crazy but is anyone else considering Gazza?

32. Adam says:

Thoughts Crew out Holman and Langdon
In Ahern and JJK
12 trades left 256 k just need 1 more premo
Defender possibly Yeo next week

• Scoops_McYoung says:

In a good position to take the JJK risk.

Have you got cover for Ahern this week?

33. Scoops_McYoung says:

Community… Need someone to slap some sense into me!

I'm currently ranked 240 overall, with 8 trades left.

If laird is out, which looks likely, I'm going to need to pop 4 trades over the next two rounds to field 18 each week.

Is there any point going for broke during these rounds to keep pace with the top, or am I better off playing safer on the trades, fielding 16-17 over the next two weeks and hoping to come home with wind in my sails?

Team is:

Def: Laird, Lloyd, Sicily, Hurn, Brayshaw, Doedee (Ridley, Heron)
Mid: Dangerfield, Mitchell, Fyfe, Oliver, Cripps, Parker, Congilio, Menegola (Spargo, Ahern, Coffield)
Ruck: Gawn, Nankervis (Olango)
Fwd: Mclean, Heeney, Franklin, Walters, Smith, Fritsch (T.Smith, Guelfi)

• BrownlowBoy says:

Probably a question best suited to Wow, Sixty6 or other members who play for rank.

My opinion, if you wanna go for rank, I think you have to field 18.

• Scoops_McYoung says:

I think that's pretty spot on, unfortunately for me..

If that's the case would you trade Walters to get in someone like Gaff/Bont (or Josh Kelly next week)? Would cover byes, and with nearly full premo, provide enough cash to upgrade doedee AND fritsch.

• Defying_Madness says:

Doedee and Fritsch will need to be upgraded eventually so I would pull the trigger.
Maybe trade out Guelfi and Fritsch this week then next week trade out Nank, Doedee and Coffield.
Might need to calculate the money available and pick your premos based on that

• Scoops_McYoung says:

Nice, that's what I needed to hear.

Anyone a fan of going early on Joel Smith? Looks to be Lever's replacement…

• Finnius says:

Next week yes, this week no as you need to bring in playing players. Almost worth going early on a debutant this week if named for they will defs play two weeks if nothing else… You don't need them to make cash, just play.

• Scoops_McYoung says:

So Brander from WC could be a good choice?

Do we have any hope for t.smith to make a comeback next week? Maybe even Ridley?

• Defying_Madness says:

I am hoping that they both play

• Sc_Wow says:

You need to feild 18 mate, hard to make up those donuts in the run home, everyone will have strong teams

• SC_Sixty6 says:

I'd probably move on Fritsch and swing Menegola into fwds then also trade spargo to full pod premo in the mids. Just go early on ahern for when he's back next week. Or go Giro

34. Oliver says:

Has anyone heard any update on Robinson from Brisbane? I saw that he is listed as 1-2 weeks away, so there might be a chance he is back after the bye?

35. TheGreatBozza says:

Any tips for the week?

DEF Simpson, Savage, Laird, Doedee, Richards, Austin, Murphy (Laird, Howe)
MID Fyfe, Muitchell, Danger, Cripps, Dusty, Holman, Higgins, E.Phillips (Kelly, Coniglio, Pendles)
R Gawn, Grundy, (Hayes)
F McLean, Sicily, Walters, Ronke, Fritsch, ZGL (D.Smith, T.Smith)

At the moment I'm thinking the following:
ZGL to Giro (swing Higgins FWD)
Murphy to Yeo (if Laird doesn't play)

That'll leave me with 15 trades left but not much bank.

Any other suggestions?

36. Gibbsanity says:

Is it worth bringing in McLean even though his breakeven is 140?
Petracca -> McLean

37. r_calve says:

fritsch to bont and Spargo to giro or to Brodie

38. Sharknado says:

need to go early on a rookie (joel smith, ahern or redman) to generate cash for next week, I'm leaning towards smith given he played lever's role but am unsure- already going early on Giro, cheers

• Hawks says:

Redman looked very good

• FearTheBeard says:

Tossing this up myself.

I'm even tossing up between Redman, Smith, Battle.

Leaning towards Battle & Redman purely for maximum cash and hope they aren't needed!

• Sharknado says:

Yeah Redman looked class, Battle played well but given his small fwd role in the team I think I want another look at him before ideally jumping on him when on the bubble

39. seen_burns says:

Hurn or Westhoff/Gray?

40. Emily says:

Hi guys.
Nice cheat sheet.
I've got one trade to to get to a full team with conligio currently filling my last midfield spot.
Not sure whether to swing sicily fwd and trade tarranti to crisp in defence next week or bring in buddy or gunston this week and leave sicily back?

Team
Laird, yeo, ryan, hurley, sicily, lloyd. Austin, ridley.
Dangerfield, mitchell, fyfe, oliver, beams, crouch, cripps, coniglio. Ahern, phillips, mutch.
Gawn, naitanui. Cameron.
Heeney, mclean, smith, walters, gray, tarranto. Ronke, crowden.

Thanks for your help.

• Holty01 says:

Hell Emily. That is one fantastic looking side so early in the season. All id suggest is who in the forward or backline dont you have who will potentially average more? Some names that come to mind are
Mcdonald (still scores well when they lose)
Simpson (consistent)
Westhoff (people are talking about him but im still uncertain)
Crisp and Menegola i think will average more then they currently are come seasons end.
Just my 2 cents

• Emily says:

Thanks holty i think mcdonald is a bit dear.
I think out of the remaining def/fwd crisp should go close to being the highest scorer of those remaining.
If i go buddy or gunston this week i can upgrade conigilo to kelly next week but that uses 3 trades.
Or of i bring in crisp next week will leave me with 6 trades remaining with conigilo at mid 8.
Is kelly that much better than congilio?

• Jack says:

Not that much better. I'd only make a Cognlio to Kelly trade in the last 4 weeks if I had at least 3 trades left.

• Holty01 says:

Is it overall you are interested in or league finals?
Overall, get the best available you think. You need those points.
But if it is league, hold those trades and leave Coniglio at m8. Those trades are valuable come finals time. I think Kelly will score more but i honestly don't think it will be by a lot so not worth the trade imo.

41. Johnny says:

Need some advice please $550k & 16 trades.

def: Webster Hurley laird Sicily hibberd rice (naughton murphy)

Mid: Fyfe danger Oliver Mitchell dusty cognilio westhoff Holman (brayshaw spargo brayshaw)

Ruck: Gawn nicnat (olango)

Forward: heeney McLean D.smith fritsch guelfi ronke (Henry T.smith)

Would love some help..

Thinking spargo to ed curnow.

What other options round the ground do I have

• redherringfc says:

That’s a lot of trades and cash. I say go nuts and triple upgrade.

Spargo to Curnow is good, if that’s the mid you want.

I’d also go Guelfi to Yeo, via Sicily.

Third trade, i’m not up with all your rookies breakevens, but Brayshaw from freo could go or even Fritsch and get whoever you want. You could alternatively get rid of Hibberd for Simpson or Hurn.

• Johnny says:

I am set on curnow he is a solid pod had eyed him off for 3 weeks since his suspension. Not impressed he made his way into damos cheat sheet hahh
I think for my second I may go naughton or guelfi like u suggested up to yeo. Stuck on the 3rd though. Would be running out of cash by then. Would prefer fritsch play F6 for a week or two more yet. Maybe go ronke to ahern early keep a warchest for next week. Target kelly or treloar for final midfielder…

42. TheGreatBozza says:

Already changed my name thanks to break evens! Who to bring in?

Yeo, Hoff, JJK or Gray (not sold on Chad)

Also worth offloading Pendles > Curnow? Pendles has been sputtering of late

43. DavidC says:

Lyon has confirmed Duman playing in the WAFL.

44. Jesse says:

Rgray jjk hogan or Jeremy Cameron?
Please rank ya top options to avg the most from here on

• ToughBretts says:

I have Cameron and he is the worst option, but while it is often infuriating, it's never boring

45. Marcus says:

IS anyone else considering Brodie?

• Jesse says:

Too pricey. Stayin clear

• redherringfc says:

He’s only played 1 hasn’t he?

If he goes really well this week, then maybe. But even then i’d probably just put it down to him playing against the Saints.

Too much money.

• Ahmad rubas says:

I'm bringing him in. He is a little pricey but I think he plays for the rest of the season and will slowly make money but most importantly for me covers the next 2 bye rounds

• Marcus says:

Thinking the same, Giro would be better but can’t afford another round 14 bye player

• Maverick_ says:

Brodie omitted. Probably stay clear

46. Stupid Coach says:

Spargo to Giro and ZGL to McLean

or

Spargo to Giro and Duman to Simpson

Which of these is the best option ?

Thanks

• Sharknado says:

Simpson due to their BE's, McLean still at 140 but Simpson at 78 which he should hit. Can get McLean for a discount in a week or 2 and don't think you'll lose points between them in a fortnight

• Sharknado says:

Duman also not playing this week and has bye next week, so easy decision there too

• Russty_ says:

Yep Duman has to go, hasn't impressed the Coach enough to keep his spot..and has a dodgy back apparently.

• Stupid Coach says:

Thanks Rusty and Sharknado. Only problem with bringing Simmo in is that it leaves me with only 7k in the bank while McLean leaves me with 37k. Should I still go Duman to Simmo.

47. Shayne says:

looking at having Petracca or Fritsch at F7.
With Petracca being DPP is he the better option even though I would prefer Fritsch as he is more consistent scorer?

• Scona says:

Fritisch is a ripper and Petracca is a dud. The former also does well when the team gets beaten and of course the latter doesn’t.

48. Brock says:

Which fwd rookie should I bring in Battle or Brander.

• Brock says:

and why?

• Russty_ says:

Hey Brock, Brander's been brought in to replace Darling and is 195cm, could have good JS for the time it takes for Darling to get back if he does well this week. DPP DEF/FWD is also a bonus but the downside is he's $148800.
Don't know much about Battle except he scored 77 in his first game which is pretty good, but he has the bye next week.

• Sc_Wow says:

Battle looked great, if you are fine for next round I’d pick battle

• Brock says:

My plan is for the rookie that I bring in to eventually turn into a non-playing loophole so I can loophole my F7 who will be Mundy. Who is more likely to playa couple of games and then get dropped after the byes?

49. Jim_bob321 says:

VC Bont anyone?

50. Shake_n_Bake_ says:

Billings to return πŸ™‚

• Russty_ says:

Happy days!…hope he's not too knackered from his 50,000 possessions last week.

• Shake_n_Bake_ says:

Just an extra option to us clowns 🀑 who held on to him!!

• Russty_ says:

Never know Shake, he could've turned a corner now and start living up to what he did last year.

• Shake_n_Bake says:

Now looking at some of the outs will come in handy for me Russty!!

• Russty_ says:

Imagine if he knocks out a 120 for you this week mate?..will be a big advantage!

51. Sc_Wow says:

Just heard on local radio that there is a strong chance rocky goes to macrea

• Russty_ says:

Was that the DJ's opinion Wow or a direct quote from Hinkley?..might influence my decision to bring Rocky in now.
Which Radio Station was it?

52. Maverick_ says:

Barrass ruled out with ongoing nightmares from his rd1 matchup with buddy. Expect buddy to go large again Friday night

• Russty_ says:

Haha, I've already whacked the VC on him Mav, hope it works out, McGovern or Hurn could get the job now, hope he kicks 8 goals like last time! πŸ™‚

53. Defying_Madness says:

Murphy, Phillips and Heron out and Laird not back. Not sure how to solve these donuts

54. hedski says:

Whoa, Murphy, Coffield, Phillips, Heron and Brodie.
OUT!!!!

55. Defying_Madness says:

Looking at a min 3 donuts after trades I think I will throw in the towl

56. iLoveNMFC says:

Who to get community,
Josh Battle or Charlie Ballard?
JS? Scoring Potential? Bye Structure?

57. Russty_ says:

Brander and Ryan in for the Eagles, Ryan will make 68K this week if he scores his projected score of 69..and continue to make money up until the finals if he keeps up the good play.

58. BlueBaggerJosh says:

Fielding 16 this week, yay

59. Sc_Wow says:

Well my team is now [email protected]

60. SamuraiPizzaCat says:

Where's the panic room… down to 17 players with Ed Phillips and Darcy Fogarty out. Thinking Fogarty to Liam Ryan

61. WhySoSerious says:

12 on field before trades… Not a snow balls chance in hell this week.

62. hedski says:

Who is more likely to get games in the back end of the season, Phillips (St.K) or Barry?
Probs trade 1 to Giro (will he keep playing?).
Extra cash from Phillips will be handy next week and has the same bye, Barry good loophole until/if he gets a gig.
Will be munching a few donuts either way. Cheers.

• The Ranger says:

Donuts here as well Hedski. I'm putting on weight thru these byes.
Cash generation is becoming a nightmare too.
Duman, Ridley, Coffield, Philips, Keefe and T.Smith all doing sweet FA.

• hedski says:

I'll be grabbing Robbie in a minute Ranger, then just a def spot to fill, will have f all trades left tho so will be carrying rooks. My rookies are Mirra, Austin, Murphy, Phillips, Barry, McInerney, ZGL, Fritsch, T.Smith and Guelfi.
Fritsch and 1 of Barry/Phillips will be going for Gray and Giro, then Murphy and ZGLout next week for Ahearn and Redman. Then its buckle up hold on tight time.

• The Ranger says:

I did Spargo, ZGL and Higgins – Hoff, Chad and SiciFlog.
Which felt great for a while and then I looked at my team and it was still shite.

63. Gem says:

Lachie Murphy has to go now? Trade to Ryan or do a bit of swing and get Giro, thoughts?

• Russty_ says:

Ryan could make fat stacks of cash, even though expensive, he's better than Giro.

64. Finnius says:

Awesome! With tonight's outs, I have 16 this week and 17 next, even after planning all season to have 18 for all the byes. I am going to go really early on Brander otherwise I only have 16 next week as well.

Higgins on an extended bench with Rioli back in will probs be out as well lol.

• Russty_ says:

Yeah I can see that happening mate, maybe 15 for me this week lol.

65. Noah says:

Ed Curnow or Cripps for VC this week?

66. Corza says:

Hi Community I need a bit of help this week i’m Down to 15 Trades and 90K left
Laird, Yeo, Simpson, Sicily, Savage, Doedee (Mirra, Ridley)

Fyfe, Danger, Mitchell, Martin, Cripps, Coniglio Holman, Brayshaw,
(Spargo, Phillips, Ahern)

Gawn, Nankervis (Olango)

R.Gray, McLean, Heeney, Walters, D.Smith, Fritsch, (Langdon, T.Smith)

Currently have only 16 this week should I make some trades?

• Russty_ says:

Hi Corza, you could go T.Smith to Liam Ryan and Phillips to Giro, would give you 18.

• Corza says:

That leaves me with 13 Trades is that enough with a plan of making three upgrades next week (Doedee to Hurley) (Brayshaw to Rockliff) (Nank to Natanui) leaving me with 2 onfield spots still to fill (premiums)

67. FearTheBeard says:

FFS.

Is worth Liam Ryan worth jumping on OR the big unit Brander?

Or pass? I'm 2 off full premium and really need the cash. I can potentially flick Phillips I guess and go for Ryan and make 30k or so?

Hold & wait for a better option to give me the 100k+?

• FearTheBeard says:

I could also hold off a week and go Redman/Smith from Mirra and hope Phillips returns? Just Ryan gives me another warm body for 2 weeks?

68. Russty_ says:

How messed up are these Bye rounds so far?!!!???!!!???!!!???!!! LOL, hard to plan for this kind of shitey carnage, it's like we all smashed into the Karma Bus drunk driving!

69. Rick Grimes says:

Looks super wet in Adelaide tonight. Had the Hoff in mind. How will he go in the wet?

70. FearTheBeard says:

I would likely be holding him though for the cover on bench.

I'm at the stage I have 2 places to upgrade to be full premium with 500k in the bank.

It's why I'm questioning Ryan in for Phillips will only make me 30k but give me a warm body for next 2 weeks HOPEFULLY.

Or

I sit tight this week and cull Mirra for either Redman or Smith and pocket 100k+ to give me 600k to upgrade last 2 spots?

• FearTheBeard says:

Thoughts Russty_

• Russty_ says:

Ryan will make you some nice cash Beard..next week, and going fwd, and is a proven scorer, not sure about brander, could end up being a dud, the money he (Ryan)makes you in the next 5 weeks could be handy if you get an injury, Battle is also an option..not sure on his JS though. Ryan was flying before his untimely injury.

• Finnius says:

I am going early on Brander this week FTB, simply because the 50k between him and Ryan is crucial. If you can afford it I would, but if not no worries. you'll need about 1060k for two upgrades, keep that in mind.

• FearTheBeard says:

Finnius.

Always see you post, thanks for taking the time.

My line of thought is my last two targets are Macrae & Walters.

I figure if I took Ryan for Phillips and he gives me a warm body for next couple weeks while the above bleed cash he helps cover that cash if I also add to that 530k in the bank? Thoughts?

• Finnius says:

Good point. Ryan will probably get to 320-330k in a couple of weeks. Only problem with that is that you are waiting a long time to get full premo. Between Macrae and Walters, you'll be forking about 1100k, so it depends how long you want to wait. If playing for league and you are going fine then just hold, but if you are playing for rank I would go to brander or even wilson depending if you have enough round 14 cover, simply to get as much cash as possible to get to full premo ASAP.

• FearTheBeard says:

Thanks mate. I am going for league no chance in rank.

Next question then :

Am I better

Holding Phillips and hope he returns as it's only netting 30k and a warm body for now

OR

Going Mirra for either Redman/Smith next week and netting 100k?

I have Austin on the bench for D and Ahern to rotate between mid/foward and T Smith if he gets back in forwards too + Phillips in Mids? thoughts?

• Finnius says:

I mean I think if playing for league then just hold this week. Go mirra to redman/smith next week and take the cash.

71. Rick Grimes says:

Heres a sneaky one….Jarryd Lyons. Back in the team. Will smash out the posessions. Little up and down but capable of hitting 120-130s. Cost you $400k.

72. AuroraBorealis?! says:

I've decided to say f*ck the byes, I'm not trading so i can squeeze one more players score in for 1 week, i'm trading for the future of my team. This means im going in this week with only 14 players. IM WAVING THE WHITE FLAG BYES. YOU WIN

• Fraser says:

Me too. It is a pain. I planned for the byes but!

• Russty_ says:

A lot of us end up playing for Leagues in the end anyway Aurora, not a bad plan mate, Playing against your mates in Leagues is fun and has serious bragging rights, playing for rank alone leaves a rather empty feeling in your soul if you don't end up in the top 10.

• AuroraBorealis?! says:

I'm way back in rankings anyway Russty, sitting at 12k so theres no point in me stressing about overall, i'd just like to finish in the top 2.5k this season

• Russty_ says:

I said totally FK the byes last year, still ended up winning half my Leagues and ranked 1500…sometimes you gotta take the loss mate.

73. TheGreatBozza says:

Robbie Gray – yes or no?

Down to 15 pre trades. Looking at offloading Higgins, ZGL and Murphy to get me to 18

• Rick Grimes says:

Very wet in Adelaide. That good or bad. I dunno

• TheGreatBozza says:

Yeah I’m not sure.

Can grab Gray, Ryan and Giro this week. I’ve got 17 trades so can afford to be aggressive

74. Sam_01 says:

Something to take into account also boys I reckon Spargo doesn’t play next week, might have to flick him also
Will have 17 on field this week and 17 next week if Spargo doesn’t get up
Is it worth going to brander real early? Locks in two sides of 18 and gives me sicily swing which is nice
The only thing it compromises is my ability to upgrade savage to a better d6 as I will be strapped for cash and trades after completing my team with jkelly next week!

75. Daniel says:

Who is the better f6 for the rest of the year between jjk and gunston?

76. DavidSA says:

17 playing 15 premo
Not bad consedering the absolute carnage

• Sc_Wow says:

Shut up

• Sc_Wow says:

lol

• DavidSA says:

What happened to your team bro?

• Sc_Wow says:

Just had a few rookies out, phillips was rough. Laird has kind of screwed me. I'll send 16 out there

• Russty_ says:

Laird screwed everyone…I also had Cam Ellis Shitman in my side for some strange reason..omitted.

• DavidSA says:

Ahhh yeah rooks out been a huge headache

Lol my Laird Madness last week was not all Madness
But never give up a guy you will need back in, I understand that.

I was right about him missing 2 plus 1 the bye
Hope I'm not right about him being 80-90 odd back end

• Sam_01 says:

Got 14 premo 17 fielded at the moment considering Spargo to brander to lock me in for 18 the next two weeks

• Russty_ says:

Good call trading Laird out Dave, I have to keep his broken handed ass now πŸ™

• DavidSA says:

Wish I went through with it Russty lol
I didn't because he is a gun… just hope he still belts out 100+ avg rest of season after bye

• whatyasmokin says:

gotta plan for these things mate, ah well we all make mistakes

• dognino says:

19 on field and even have the luxury of an E on the midfield bench in case there’s any late outs, haha

• Liam says:

Same numbers as me David. Hopefully we can get a rise in the ranks.

77. BlueBaggerJosh says:

Vc on Macrae, should thrive in the wet conditions

78. BlueBaggerJosh says:

Thomas at HF, Wingard named in centre. Interesting.

79. johnno2908 says:

Out: Fritsch, Spargo and Guelfi.
In: Curnow, Gray, Giro.

Still only gives me 17. These byes are f*cked!

80. Dal says:

Quick question guys.
Mclean or Gray ?

81. Maverick_ says:

Absolute carnage! I may be forced to trade guelfi & fritsch earlier than I wanted.. and one would be to gray so I have 20 min to decide. SC is a cruel cruel game

82. Defying_Madness says:

Thoughts on Charlie Ballard? Could be the Berry of this year

83. Russty_ says:

Reckon if you can get 17 onfield this week Sam, you'll be doing ok.

84. seen_burns says:

Patrick Wilson or Giro? Not looking for cash gen.

85. Finnius says:

I am doing it sam. Just need them for two weeks. Who cares what they do for the rest of the season, all my upgrades will be done by the time they reach max price.

• Sam_01 says:

Yeah look I’ve pulled the trigger lads gonna be gritting my teeth for the remainder of the season with my bank and trades haha

86. TheGreatBozza says:

Finally decided on Fritsch to Gray. As much as I wanted to hold Fritta he's done his job.

87. TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

Man that driver of the karma bus is a dead set [email protected] <img draggable="false" class="emoji" alt="😱" src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/2.4/svg/1f631.svg">
Doesn't relent, no reprieve.
Got hit by it last week by saying:
"Ive been lucky with players I have traded in its the rookies I trade out who go on to score a ton after i trade them"
Karma bus knocked me off my feet brought in ridley and smith rd 11 to cover rd 14. Out rd 12. That and a heap of other non bye premos missing.
So thought geez need coverage for the byes esp def brought in heron over michocek and Walters rd 12.
Getting back to my feet not only does the karma bus knock me over again this rd it backs over the remaining corpse 5 times.
Heron, phillips, murphy, walters, laird.
FFS.
What is the point of planning for byes and cover??
So no trades this week no point.
The guys i want to complete my team have the bye this week.
So retiring into my cave until the byes are over.
Good luck.

88. Finnius says:

Why is Mclean only on 29% TOG?????

• Maverick_ says:

a possible injury. but looks to be okay.
what a round of carnage what a year even finnius.

• dontblushbaby says:

Got a knock in the first minute from R,Gray

89. Russty_ says:

Panic room's open now…time to panic!

90. Steeeve says:

Worth having Robbie Gray in your team just for his magic, such a special clever player.

91. Rivo says:

With only 14 playing, have taken a big punt and traded 2 underperforming “premos” and one cash cow. Thankfully, Gray delivered last night. What a jet!

Hibberd Fritsch & Petracca to
Simpson, Gray & Giro.

May these byes p**s off please πŸ™„

92. Starky says:

Watching Boak and McLean last night with only 16 on the field was probably the most gut wrenching game of the season. Condolences for anybody who had Macrae as well.
What a nightmare.

• Sam_01 says:

Yeah I traded Boak in last round thinking about the coverage has delivered me a 70 and a 60
His ball use and first quarters have been killing him big time
Bringing in the hoff this week was handy tho
