THE STANDING ROOM Round 11

Filed in Supercoach by on 03/06/2018 • views: 4439

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” – Everyone, probably.

Cripps. McLean. Westhoff. Yeo. Webster. Timothy Smith. Devon Smith. Spargo. Tom BLOODY Rockliff.

These are just some of the names tearing our sides apart this week.

Thre are some positives. Maxwell Gawn. Tom Mitchell. James Sicily. Even Josh J Kennedy pulled the first big bag of goals out of his hat this week, to the delight of those who brought him in – bravo if you did.

There are some other high scores out there, but I’ll be damned if they’re in my side this week. How easy it is to back up a 2400 with an effort that will struggle to crack 2000. Hooly dooly community, what a week.

How are you travelling?

    Darling only 14 points? ?

  2. Rabbits16 says:

    traded kelly for cripps. yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

    • Rabbits16 says:

oh and was tossing up cripps and macdonald

    • Russty_ says:

Noice!…Kelly to T.Smith here, at least he wasn't on the field.

      • Rick Grimes says:

I know it's just coincidence, but why does the bloke you trade in happen to always be the guy who gets a knock in the opening minutes?! It happens way too often. I'd say just about every guy I've traded in this year has dropped their season average since I got them. Unreal.

        • Rick Grimes says:

When I say you, I mean me and all the other unlucky plicks.

        • Rabbits16 says:

          cruel ey

        • Russty_ says:

Hard to explain mate…It's kinda like Golf, a game everyone can play but is rarely mastered, like the SC Gods are laughing at us and saying.."don't get too cocky!"

        • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

          Ive got the opposite problem
In majority of cases the guys i have brought in have gone ok or pretty well (as i expected them to perform with the exception of crusty dusty)

          But ….

The guys i trade end going ape shit and knock out a ton every time.
They havent looked like it but as soon as they leave my team its party time.
Its ironic more than a coincedence.

          Last 4 outs
          Doodee
          Henry
          Holman
          Kelly

          • Jack says:

I'm in the same boat for 3 of those guys, Doedee I still have.
I reckon there will be many others in the same boat. You can justify all trades because with the info you had at the time it was the right call… Perhaps Holman could have stayed due to bye, gee he put out some stinkers though

        • SC_Sixty6 says:

The world isn't against you mate. It's just that you're now focused on that player and rode his every hit.

  3. Yeahnahyeah says:

Traded Kelly for Aaron Hall this week for a big byes POD…then he gets injured in the first half. hopefully he's not out for too long, sucks because he was looking really good in the first quarter too

    • Rick Grimes says:

He just can't get a decent run at it. Talented guy. Reckon he's average 110 if he could manage a full season.

      • Yeahnahyeah says:

I agree mate. Seemed to be playing off half back too, really good user of the ball.

  4. Rabbits16 says:

thank gawd i didnt go for rocky or lever

  5. Rick Grimes says:

Tom Phillips. Five game average of 110 (took a knock in the game he scored 61). 43 points at 1st quarter. Haven't heard him mentioned much on here. Break out year?

    • BlueBaggerJosh says:

Yep mentioned this in the panic room chat I think it was, he will be coming into my side this week along with hogan, T-Mac, westhoff or Gray

  6. hedski says:

    Ah crap Walters hobbling off…

  7. Rex says:

JJK 122 well done to everyone who got him in….Is it fair to say thats his ceiling now? I mean, playing the Saints at home, no Carlisle, Darling injured early, 6 goals….It doesn't get much better than that right?
Think I'll pass as I like to have my forwards to have a ceiling of at least 140

    • Rick Grimes says:

      Probably an injury risk too.

    • The King says:

There was a couple of games last year where he kicked 6 and didn't even get to 100. Sure, he is capable of 150+ games on the odd occasion but he's definitely not a must have player.

Only reason why you'd consider him is a Billings trade for example, where you don't have the cash to upgrade to a genuine premium

      • Rex says:

Or if you're running low on trades too right?

        • The King says:

I guess, but wouldn't go get a player just because they're cheap. Similar to Rockliff, only thing attractive about them is their price, but very little chance of being top 10 in their respective positions.

          • Sc_Wow says:

I guess his last 3 seasons of 90+ average were probably just a fluke…

            • The King says:

Never said they were a fluke, but if he repeats last year's average he would currently be the 18th best fwd. No guarantee that he does that.

    • Valens_FC says:

You’re talking as if he cost $560k Rex. Great buy at $366k and if you look back through his past his ceiling is very high. Playing up forward for the form team of the land, he’s a gift from the SC Gods.

    • SC_Sixty6 says:

Yeh Rex JJK ceiling is only 122…….Rd 1 last year from memory was 180. Lol. Some people on here just looking for attention.

      • rex says:

So Gary Abletts ceiling is still 230 is it? As players get older their ceiling tends to drop. Also, injuries can have an affect on players to perform at their best. Have you not noticed this? I thought you were the champ?
I asked a simple question to the community as I'm pondering who to take as my last forward.
If you don't want to help that's fine, just don't answer. I got 4 good answers anyway. Like you, Valens didn't agree with me, but he wasn't a douche about it

        • SC_Sixty6 says:

Just re read your post and it doesn't mention once that you were pondering about your last fwd spot. You clearly posted for attention because you can't swallow the fact you were wrong.

Never gloated that it was the best decision out there to trade him in. Merely happy about his 122 which I celebrated.

      • George S says:

No need to be a knob about it

    • redherringfc says:

He hardly scored in the last quarter. If the Saints didn’t put up such a fight in the last then he may have kicked a few more. At three quarter time I thought he was going to go well over 150.

I don’t have and won’t get, but I think he could be worth the risk.

    • Patch says:

I wouldn't be putting a limit on JJK myself, reckon he still has 150s plus in him. I wouldn't be expecting an average of 100 but he's got the history to suggest if he stays on the park he'd be a very good F6/7, especially at his price. If he was 470k we probably wouldn't be bringing him up.

Injury history the main worry for mine.

  8. Defying_Madness says:

Anyone else reckon Beams was robbed? I don't have him but if Danger had those stats he would be looking at a 200+

    • Connor says:

Easily – especially in a team that didn't have many other scorers – that is what I hate about SC, the biased scaling…

      • Rabbits16 says:

agree. how does scoring even work accurately when they dish out 3300 per game. that doesn't make sense in my mind statistically…

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

      Beams -119 -32 disposals, 20 kicks and 5 goals
      Tim kelly -130 – 25 disposals, 10 kicks 2 goals
      Titch – 135 – 28 disposals, 16 kicks, 8 tackles, 2 goals.

Unless Beams had 15 clangers how does that make any sense?

      • Ja191 says:

i think it's cause it was a blow out, unless you score well in the first quarter it's hard to go big

    • The King says:

Scored well considering his slow start to the game and the team having a bad loss

    • Shake_n_Bake_ says:

Especially at the end of a game because they have to get to 3300 Nank had 2 intercept marks in last 2 mins of the game got 1pt!!

      • Sc_Wow says:

I think SC scores heavily on impact in the game, you see this in match winning goals for example.

Once the game is over, like we see in blowouts the scoring changes drastically. Maybe this is because big points have already been given out when the game was close. Not 100% sure but that's how I make sense of it

        • Shake_n_Bake_ says:

I think your right Wow. Its just l have a whole list on how u score pts and for an example uncontested mark of opposition team =4pts he would av scored 8 pts just from that plus the kicks he had after it. Maybe championship data shouldn’t put out a list on how scores come by and just do what they always do score how ever they want!

          • Sc_Wow says:

Yeah I agree it can be frustrating, I think he would have got those points if it was earlier in the game. I had Fyfe as C this week, got that one wrong. He had a few touches and goal assist late in the game but added close to nothing to his score because the game was a blow out.

I'm not sure if there is a detailed description of how the scoring works anywhere?

    • theRealPod says:

That's CD in a nut shell. If he'd kicked most of those goals early would be completely different score.

  9. Crowboy94 says:

Crisp keep going son! 70 at half time.

  10. Defying_Madness says:

    I hope I don't regret not taking Ridley's 36. Murphy do something

    • Finnius says:

I passed on Gawn VC score so I could field Murphy over Ridley. Thought that the difference between Murphy and Ridley would make up any points lost between Grundy and Gawn. Not looking like the smartest choice at this stage…

  11. BlueBaggerJosh says:

Definitely trading in Tom Phillips, tearing the dockers apart. Gonna be a bit expensive though

    • Finnius says:

Only at 500k right now. Think he will go up about 40-50k so won't be too bad.

  12. Finnius says:

ZGL playing an absolute blinder! Wish I had him onfield instead of Tim Smith right about now… Rookie choices have cost me so many points this year.

    • Russty_ says:

Hard to have faith in a guy whose last 4 scores have been 42, 50, 59 and 45 Finn..it's the SC Gods smiting their subjects.

  13. Holty01 says:

ZGL you can go get stuffed. Had him since round 1. Have kept the faith all year but couldnt pass on Walters so traded him out.

    • Russty_ says:

Always the bloody way isn't it Holty?…as soon as you trade their shite scoring asses out!

    • Keenbutclueless says:

Traded him out for Smith this week. Also traded Fritsch out for Dusty. ZGL was never going to be onfield, so no points lost. I know the only way to get to premium is to trade out rookies, but it still hurts when they bite you on the butt as you show them the door.

  14. BlueBaggerJosh says:

Go ZGL you good thing! Murphy watch and learn pls

    • Russty_ says:

I'm playing a guy in my Last Minute Rag's League this week who left the C on Murphy…a shame cause we were ranked 70th or something last week.
Hate it when players in Leagues give up and bail on maintaining their team..wish they just wouldn't enter in the first place.

  15. Russty_ says:

Love you Grundy, love you Ryan, Fyfe…meh! wtf

    • DavidSA says:

What did Fyfe get sighted for?

      • Russty_ says:

A head high hit on someone, can't remember who but commentators were saying it should only be a fine.

        • Ja191 says:

yeah wasnt much in it just a fine plus they kiss brownlow favourites asses

  16. AuroraBorealis?! says:

Pretty happy with the Treloar trade in this week, hopefully he can keep it up

  17. TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

Might have saved the best game till last

Bit of a shootout and GWS have remembered how to tackle. COGS in scintilating form.
Big John P also looks ominous!
Coulld be a nice cheapie going fwd…
ZGL also having a day out.

  18. Yeahnahyeah says:

Par? I'm looking at around 2150

    • Jack says:

      About that

    • Dogdik says:

I’m usually about 150 below par this year, so going by my usual score, I’d say par may be about 2200-2250. Somewhere there?

  19. JohnDJ59 says:

I need a 60 score from Murphy to win my close game, playing the top position team in the league sons and I'm second last, I wish I went with Rice, that 62 would have done it for me.

    • Defying_Madness says:

I would be happy with a 40 from Murphy at this point and he doesn't even look like getting that

  20. Doc_1 says:

After a round of carnage, it has come down to Taranto v Shaw (exactly tied without their scores)
    Who wins?

  21. JohnDJ59 says:

It was out of Murphy and Duman to go from my team this coming week, looks like Murphy has put himself forward to be traded out. Thought they were only good for 45 – 55 which is why I was thinking of putting one on the bench for Rice 62, I just didn't know which one, so left both on the field. So now I'm going to lose another close one. Would have been better if Murphy hadn't come back into the Crows team, then I would have had Rice on field.

  22. DavidSA says:

This week has been a stinker huh
Might be pushing 2280 fingers crossed

  23. Defying_Madness says:

All I can say about this week is I had Murphy and Smith on field…

  24. BlueBaggerJosh says:

Murphy going backwards at a rapid rate holy crap, Duman's 56 instead would be handy right now.

    • Derek says:

Oh dear. Had to put him on field after Ridley did poor. Didn’t think he was that bad

  25. SCWars94 says:

What a stinker of a week. So many 🥔

  26. Russty_ says:

FKN Crows ruined my perfect Tipping week hahah always the way ay?!

    • DavidSA says:

2229 before Shaw, Cogs and Laird scaling

Cogs made sure we all never got near 2300 lol
      What a week!

Only 10 of my players tonned up

    • Corey says:

Same Rusty I was 8 outta 8 going into that game

      • Russty_ says:

Bloody bummer ay Corey?…I needed a leg up in the tips this week.

    • NEIL demons delight says:

Congrats Russty really turned it on in guns Only league lost You had this form at the start well done mate NDD

      • Russty_ says:

Cheers Neil mate, had a lucky run this week mate, and many others had some bad luck this week.

        • Makka says:

I’m glad you admit that luck plays a big part in SC. So many rave on how clever they are, not necessarily you all the time.

          • Russty_ says:

Yeah a lot of luck involved I think Makka, I don't claim to be no expert, I was favoured by the Gods this week, next week, I could be smited bigtime lol

    • SCWars94 says:

Dont tip Adelaide again this year mate. They are done

  27. iLoveNMFC says:

2,030… Gone from rank 500 3 weeks ago to probably 5000 this week… This year is turning into a nightmare…

  28. Neverweaken says:

2163. Thank you Tom McDonald captain Gawn and managing to loop Spargo for Holman. Otherwise Cripps, Murphy, Smith and lots of 80-90s

    • Russty_ says:

Nice work picking up T-Mac NW…I wanted to get him two weeks ago but his apparent injury scared me off, he could be close to unaffordable now.

  29. hedski says:

Scraped in about 2180 odd pre scaling, jeez a week can make a big difference.
T.Smith and Murphy, you're muppets, I'll forgive Cripps, the rest were OK without setting the world on fire.
Got the chocolates in all but 1 league I think, pity it was the cash league I really needed to win (well played Derek, I have you 3 times next week so if I can get 2 of those we're even!).
    How'd everyone on else go?

    • Russty_ says:

Don't like being an own Trumpet blower Hedski, but I think I won all my Leagues this week…had some luck there too.

    • JohnDJ59 says:

2076, so not great, keeping Murphy on field and not taking the 62 from Rice cost me two league games, but I still won four and am now in the top 8 in the Guns and Rookies League, so not all bad.

      • Russty_ says:

Nice work John DJ, considering you're cursed from accidentally squashing a black cat in your 1993 Nissan Patrol! 🙂

        • JohnDJ59 says:

HaHaHa, good one Russty, but I always look out for my two cats before I drive off and I've never owned a 4wd. Used to be into bikes until I got to old, now I drive a 2006 Golf GTI.

      • NEIL demons delight says:

Good on you John That league's going to be close NDD

        • JohnDJ59 says:

Thanks Neil, with the year I'm having, it would be nice to scrape into a few finals, I'm a chance in four, the other six near or on the bottom. You never know though, in the sons league I'm sitting second last, but have the most points scored against me and nearly beat the leader who has only lost the one game and is in the top 5000.

          • Russty_ says:

Hey john, even if you end up making 4 top finals, that's a good thing and it's still fun having a chance to win the final of the bottom 8 ., once it's over, it's done anyhoo and then onwards and upwards to next year.

            • JohnDJ59 says:

Hey Russty I ended up in the bottom 8, came 9th, in one of my leagues last year and even though I won, I didn't really get anything out of it, it felt a bit hollow. I say I'm a chance in four leagues for finals action, but really its only in two that I should make it. The way the season has gone so far, that might do me.

      • Beezneez says:

I'm in 9th place although I have the same no. of points as NDD in 5th. Two losses by 1 and 3 points hasn't helped. Would have had a better score if I had have paid more attention to the start time of the Geelong game and taken Gawn's vc score as I intended instead of leaving the C on Dangerfield.

    • SCWars94 says:

      2,209 for me this week

    • NEIL demons delight says:

2228 Russty got me in 'guns' only loss f##k you Russty spoilt a full hand NDD

    • SamuraiPizzaCat says:

2121 for me, that's 433 points less than last round and I "upgraded" a player!

      • Russty_ says:

Good score last week though Pizzacat…I haven't even gotten close to 2500 this year.

    • Connor says:

umm hedski if you beat Derek in 1 league, you beat him in all… hahaha

    • Lazza says:

2230 for me Hedski.. better than average for a change …

    • Sandyf62 says:

2069 for me, won four of my eight leagues, my only real stuff up was having Smith on field, but he got hit in the back, so doesn't really count and not getting my VC right, Danger instead of Gawn and my C right, Fyfe instead of Titch. Plus a quick call out to JohnJD I play your Black Flag team in 'TheSonsOfAnarchy' League next week, not much difference in our scores this week, so could be interesting.

    • The Ranger says:

You got me Hedski. Bloody Levi bloody Greenwood probably the difference.

      • hedski says:

        What did he do Ranger?

        • The Ranger says:

He was tagging Fyfe. But I just noticed you have Fyfe too so not that then.
Looks more like your Cats boys did it, Selwood and Menegola.

          • hedski says:

Yeah glad I punted Billings for Menagola a few weeks back.
Thought you might have captained Fyfe.

  30. SC_Sixty6 says:

Just found out the champion data blokes are diehard Carlton supporters. Explains why Gibbs was robbed.

    • Defying_Madness says:

I don't blame them for robbing him after he tanked Cogs score

    • r_calve says:

gibbs deserve at least 150 for that last quarter alone, he got like 12 touches and 7 clearances

  31. BadgerHoney7 says:

2080 for me this week – awful (smith 26, appleby 34, jom 65, mclean 63, cripps 54) then underperformers (dusty 85, simmo 82, dev smith 77, gaff 85, fyfe 78, yeo 70) really terrible after 2512 last week.

  32. BlueBaggerJosh says:

2150 this week, bit below par I think

  33. Derek says:

Didn’t see game. What happened to Coniglio. Was heading for 120+

  34. Ahmad rubas says:

traded langdon out who made 24k this week 🙂

  35. AuroraBorealis?! says:

Any idea what par is this week? I managed to pull out 2150 which i think is slightly below

  36. Connor says:

Cost myself 3 league wins (and potentially a lot of rankings) by putting forgetting to loop Smith with Giles-Langdon and not putting Holman back on field after his bye

  37. Russty_ says:

SC is finally open…went up 2103 places to 2256…sorry for bragging, but I'm stoked, I'm sure I'll be back to crapsville after the byes haha

    • KSinny says:

Surprised I only lost 3.1k spots with 2023

      • Rocksta_ says:

        I only dropped 193 places with a 2097.
That said, the rollercoaster ride is getting to me after going up 501 places last week. Same team with one additional premo for 425 less points. Go figure!

    • Derek says:

      Nice Russty.

The byes are here. A few hundred points is nothing to make up.

    • BoltonsBlues says:

somehow, someway I climbed to 392 (from 497) with a dismal score of 2187

      • Derek says:

I think only 1 in the top 20 went over 2200

      • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

Must have been some shockers as i climbed another 40 spots. 🤫

      • SC_Sixty6 says:

You score 40 more points than me and go up 100. Crazy. Par score was 2160 by the sounds.

    • Holty01 says:

All good Rusty and well done. I wouldnt say ur bragging mate. Big difference about being prideful about ur success as oppose to being arrogant.

    • NEIL demons delight says:

Be proud mate Well done NDD

    • Goat says:

Makes my disaster 2100 look ok. Sitting at about 2200 overall but the last 2 weeks have not been good…

    • NoLanguage says:

Nice work Rustty! I went from 1892 to 1426 with a 2193 so was pretty happy considering the carnage

    • Sc_Wow says:

      Well done Ruusty

    • SamuraiPizzaCat says:

Nice work Russty, wish my rank was that good!

  38. KSinny says:

How many does everyone have playing next week? I have 21 with 12 Premos.

    • Russty_ says:

Hey Sinny, next week's not the problem mate, the 2 weeks after are big problems for me.

    • Patch says:

I've got 21 as well, but round 14 is looming as an absolute shocker

      • hedski says:

Nice work on the rank Patch!!

      • Steeeve says:

Same with everyone. It's what has stopped me from bringing in Walters. I really want a D6 who is not playing that round as well. Will have Laird, Yeo, Simmo, Sicily and Hurley.

    • Lazza says:

      22 with 12 premos

    • Nick says:

19 with 15 premos atm, still have 2 more trades to use this week though

    • Ahmad rubas says:

24 playing with 16 premos not looking good for round 13 and 14 especially 13

  39. BlueBaggerJosh says:

mirra-Mihocek (cash to make but js doesnt look great with birchall almost ready to return and allows me to keep ZGL)
    Deledio-T-Mac (rectify a mistake)
Doedee-Tom Phillips (could go Oliver but want to set my midfield apart from the pack)
scored 2148 and ranked 1390, aiming to crack into the 1k by years end

  40. Corey says:

I have 21 on the field this week thinking I might not make any trades this week is it worth making any when you have 20 or more playing?

    • The King says:

Always useful to make a couple of downgrades. Easy to trade in premiums who are coming off their bye

    • Derek says:

      Keep the cash generation going

    • Russty_ says:

Austin could be worth considering this week…for making cash and future points.

  41. BoltonsBlues says:

Ranked 392 after a somewhat disappointing week of 2187

Only doing Mirra to Austin this week, leaves 250k in the bank
20 players fit and ready to go this week
Then No trades and still will have 22 fit players for Round 13
    Then the carnage begins
    Out – Murphy, Henry
    In – Ahern and Mihocek
Leaves me 540k with 18 fit players, 10 trades and 4 upgrades needed (2 upgrades if you dont count Doedee and Fristch as upgrades needed)

    • Russty_ says:

You're travelling well mate for a strong finish to the year…think 2187 was above par this week.

  42. NEIL demons delight says:

In one of my leagues I have 4 wins and 100.3 per cent and sit 9th. The 8th team is the same. Any body know how they split us at years end. He has a record of 3 /2 wins and losses I have 2/3 I assume that's why he is 8th thanks fellas NDD

    • Russty_ says:

Yeah more wins will put them in front of you if percentage is similar or the same Neil, so you need to win more! 🙂 stop losing to me haha

      • NEIL demons delight says:

Stop being so dam good rusty. that 3/2 compared to my 2/3 is only recent history .Surely that's not the answer Decimal point seems logical cheers NDD

    • mac_time says:

Thought they would go to the next decimal point

    • Beezneez says:

      Alphabetical order of team name?

    • redherringfc says:

Just guessing but currently i’d say it’s on alphabetical order.

If tied up at seasons end (which would mean equal points and exactly same for and against) then it could be who won the head to head.

If that was a draw, I think I read somewhere, that position is determined by who signed up first.

    • Crowmagnon says:

Maybe if % and points are the same, they give the chocolates to the team with the highest FOR score?

  43. Mark says:

Dropped my first league game of the season and dropped 55 spots to 159 overall:( Brought in McLean and Smith that didn't exactly work out. Traded out Fritsch to get McLean:)

    • Russty_ says:

Congrats on the rank Mark, that's great mate, Fritsch for Mclean will work out, and I'm sure getting Smith made you some valuable dollars.

  44. BlueBoy says:

Traded Kelly and Fritsch for Smith and Danger… then captained Fyfe

    I deserve everything I got…

    • theRealPod says:

Ouch how can you predict that? Chin up Blue Danger will redeem himself, I hope sooner rather than later.

  45. JohnDJ59 says:

So looking at my not so great team, I have narrowed my premo gets to this, def, two of these three, Simmo, Yeo, Hurn, mids, one of these three, Gaff, Bont, Crouch, fwds, these two Hogan and Buddy, leaving Fritsch at F6 due to not having enough trades and also not really knowing who else I like. That will get me to good enough premo, with a couple of trades left over in case I make the finals in any of my leagues.

    • Sandyf62 says:

Hi john, out of those players I have Yeo, Buddy and Fritsch and will be looking at Crouch after his bye.

  46. Will says:

Bringing in Mitch Duncan in my final midspot.

Midfield will be Macrae, Titch, Fyfe, Danger, Cripps, Duncan, Cogs and Dusty. Would prefer Oliver but can't due to my bye structure (have cover in forward line and defence for players with the R14 bye, have none for the R13 bye and both my rucks have that bye).

Considering J Selwood instead as he represents good value and could score similarly to Duncan, but I don't have total faith in his body and think Duncan has the higher ceiling at this stage (Duncan went bananas at the end of last year and has a 5 round average of 118, I think Selwood's scores will be up and down for the rest of the year and I think his 120 avg days are over).

  47. Jack says:

What's people thoughts on getting rid of Barry if running low on trades? FWIW I can still field 20 this week (with Barry) and it's probably my hardest as missing Simpson, Sicily, Macrae, Cripps, Mitchell, McLean and Lycett

    • FFC says:

Personally, Got rid of Barry last week…went T.Smith (which didn't go so well this week – cost me league win by 2 points) – but overall i think T.Smith will offer more value than Barry – he doesn't seem to be playing or even an emergency). However you will need to look elsewhere for value.

  48. TBone_9 says:

Captaincy this week looking the hardest so far! I’m thinking it’s gotta be Fyfe into Gawn. What are you guys looking at?

    • Ahmad rubas says:

I like Kelly into Fyfe. Don't think Kelly has shown signs of scoring well just more of a pod pick and hope he goes well. Gawn may struggle for a big score with grundy

      • redherringfc says:

I think Kelly for vc is a good move. He may see a bit more of it if Coniglio doesn’t play and at home against gold coast.

If Sandi is back then Fyfe should be good. If not then he might not go so well again.

    • Pesta says:

Find another C. He is against Grundy.
Maybe Danger as VC but who will Jacobs tag? Selwood? Fyfe if available as C.
      Buddy might figure somewhere?

      • TBone_9 says:

I was worried about Gawn against Grundy too but I still think he should score well. Only other viable options I have are Danger, Parker, Cogs or Oliver. Could punt on Danger, he’d be a lot harder for Jacobs to tag than a Selwood or Duncan

    • Jack says:

Danger into Fyfe locked and loaded. Jacobs will tag Selwood I think

    • Ricardo says:

Champions generally bounce back from a bad game. Fyfe C

    • Defying_Madness says:

      Cogs into Fyfe for me

      • hedski says:

Cogs could be touch and go to play DM, got concussed.

        • Defying_Madness says:

Not really any other options though. Heeney? Menegola?
Could bring in Robbie Gray or Wingard and put it on them

  49. nick says:

So with Lever out with an ACL, does this mean that Hibbo's role will change?

    • Ahmad rubas says:

Hibberd has looked good past few weeks could start pumping out tons again

    • Jack says:

Fair call Nick definitely one to look out for. Jake Lever does play as the plus1 alot you would think with him gone Hibberd would be playing that role a bit.

    • Derek says:

      Very interesting…………

  50. FearTheBeard says:

Can I get some early advise lads. Looking at last forward.

Walters, McDonald (would allow swing with Sicily in finals if anything happens allowing more cover for bench options) or Menegola?

    Leaning towards McDonald or walters

I have Heeney franklin smith McLean gray

Also can anyone else only use 2 trades despite it showing 3?

    • Jack says:

I'd go McDonald if money doesn't matter

    • Derek says:

Menagola is ticking a lot of boxes for me

    • redherringfc says:

Walters and McDonald are definitely up there in calculations, but I’m going Menegola this week. His numbers look very good and hardly anyone has him.

As for trades, I can do all three.

  51. Steeeve says:

Bringing in Gray this week. Will play deep forward but should still average over 90. And good bye cover.
    That makes my forward line:
Heeney, Gray, McLean, D Smith, Petracca and Curnow.
Should I bite the bullet and move one of Petracca/Curnow to Walters this week?

    • theRealPod says:

Na don't sideways trade until you're full premo. Hopefully Hinkley let's Gray play mids more otherwise you'll get the occasional turd.

      • Steeeve says:

Glad I didn't go either Curnow or Petracca to Walters this week, they both scored well. Will hold until after Freos bye then reassess

  52. Shake_n_Bake_ says:

Couldnt loop in my fwd line got it so wrong fielded Henry and Smith with Guelfi and Fritsch on the pine lost 120pts just like that…why! 🙁

  53. FearTheBeard says:

Scratch that, had to refresh now can do 3.

Leaves me with question guys. Walters, McDonald or Menegola?

Leaning towards McDonald and will then if Austin continues keep him as D6 and move McDonald to my last forward.

If Austin flops I can go for Walters I guess…. Or do I go for Walters now and hold on McDonald for now?

My concern is Walters went off with leg issue again, came back on though worried he could be out any game.

    Thoughts?

  54. Simo036 says:

Anyone else considering the Doedee to Austin trade this week?

  55. Jack says:

Doedee to Michael Hurley for a mere 50k or less in 2 weeks time looked mouthwatering, but is he still a top6 defender?

If he plays forward, I don't want him. Chances of him staying back all year?

  56. Steeeve says:

    Any mid-forward rookies worth considering?

    • Doc_1 says:

Ahern after his bye (or could go early – at worst he’s a swinging loop).

  57. INPieman says:

What an absolute train wreck of a week. Ken Hinkley your an ass-clown! Rocky tagging & Gray playing small forward doesn't work d+ck head

    • theRealPod says:

Gray at his best is one of the uber elite of the comp. What a waste 😕

      • INPieman says:

50 shades is absolutely one of the best mids. And he's damaging. It's ridiculous

    • The King says:

Would love to see one of Gray or Wingard in the midfield full time, not playing deep fwd

    • BrownlowBoy says:

94% forward for Robbie this week.

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

I picked up Rocky this week. Did not watch the game. So Hinkley decided to use Rocky as a tagger? WTF!!! That is outragious. I hope that this was his first and last time tagging. Doesn't Hinkley realise Rocky still has dicey shoulders. Tagging wont help the healing process Ken!! Next week Rocky better line up in the midfield or wing. I need him scoring SC points NOT fluffing around tagging!!

      • Shake_n_Bake_ says:

Might go to Dusty this weekend Hawk.

        • TOPHAWK1 says:

Dusty at $483K with a BE of 100 is incredible value. Perhaps two downgrades and one up to Dusty! Going to give that some serious thought. Cheers Shake!

          • TOPHAWK1 says:

Hey Shake. What about these 3 trades? Murphy to Austin, Ronke to Ahern (early) and then Crowden straight up to Dusty!!! Leaves $178K in the bank. Very tasty!

            • Sc_Wow says:

Tbh rocky started tagging later on in the game. Wasn’t doing too much before hand so maybe it was Hinkleys way to get him into the game. Still looks a long way off his best. Would love to see gray in the mids more often

              • TOPHAWK1 says:

I have Rocky now, so I might as well keep him in that M9 pozzie after the byes. Hopefully he can produce a few nice points with Holman over the next three weeks. Hopefully Rocky can show a bit more against the tigers at home on Friday night.

        • Shake_n_Bake_ says:

I dont have Dusty either Hawk. What l was getting at l think there might be a chance Rocky will go to Dusty this weekend? I wont look to go to him till after rd 14 Hawk. Austin will be the only player l might look to go to this weekend that will give me hopefully 22 players playing this weekend.

      • SC_Sixty6 says:

😂😂😂😂 didn't you read my post about not getting rocky because he's a trap ?

No need to blame a coach for your poor judgment on picking up a broken player. He's done.

        • TOPHAWK1 says:

Hehehehe. All good mate! Had him on the bench with the E on him last week. Lost nothing. Just left him there to let Holman grab 88 SC instead. He went up a few $$$, and now I can sit back, relax, and watch Rocky and Holman score me some juicy points during the byes. Remember the golden rule buddy, a week is a long time in footy!

          • Sc_Wow says:

Oh damn I thought for sure you had him on with your past score. Rocky did make you a tasty 7k you’re right there. Hopefully rocky can pump out some 60’s though then he might get his score counted!

            • TOPHAWK1 says:

Go back to my earlier posts mate……….. I had Rocky on the bench with the E on him last week. Left him there as 41 is a BS score. Holman got me 88 on field instead. Capiche!!

    • SC_Sixty6 says:

Maybe you should post some options for the coming weeks so the community can help you with some smarter decisions.

Rocky not the smartest choice mate. Oh well we live and learn don't we. Although I think we've learnt on numerous times with rocky.

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

Tell me about it bud. Sounds like you have been burnt by Rocky too. Rocky is simply playing a "cameo" role in my team mate. Recent past performance is no indication of future performance…..Just remember that. If Rocky gets dropped or spuds during the byes, then so be it. IF he produces something which he is capable of, then I can keep him as my M9 going into the run home. This may still become a really nice play. Let's see what happens……………

        • Sc_Wow says:

We all make mistakes, no harm in being humble about them when they occur

          • TOPHAWK1 says:

Rocky is not a mistake. The bloke is still "in play"buddy. Exercise a bit of patience in judgement, the byes have barely started. I have Rocky and Holman on field going into round 12. This may still become a really nice play. Let's see what happens…………

    • r_calve says:

technically it did work because rocky shut Mitchell down and gray kicked like four goals, I'm only saying this cos I've got neither of them

  58. Pod says:

A 3 game average of 95 for Fritish lol
But is he a top 6 premo come seasons end… who knows

    • INPieman says:

Love his role. Just floats around collecting. No one will put any work into him either. Too many other Demons to worry about

    • theRealPod says:

The Pies will put a stop to that.

      • Tibor says:

Certainly doing it easy at the moment but far tougher challenges to come against better teams. Not sure Collingwood would greatly concern them but after the bye it gets tougher. A few injuries changes things too, they are one decent Max Gawn injury away from mediocrity

      • INPieman says:

They will send Greenwood to Oliver every day of the week. If Greenwood is available Buckley tags. If he isn't he doesn't bother. Don't think Fritch will get any attention

        • BrownlowBoy says:

Bucks has played Greenwood across half back these last couple of weeks. Bit of a strange role, I was certain he would have gone to Fyfe or Neale yesterday.

Frtisch has an exciting role, pushing all the way to half back and just roaming the wing. Very SC friendly and I'm not planning on trading him any time soon.

        • Tibor says:

Would he bother tagging? Should he? I'd love to just watch Gawn. V Grundy and let the midfields take each other on. Pendlebury could be the key. He can't beat blokes like Oliver or Viney and get first possession but getting first hands on it this year can hurt you because they are so red hot on prior opportunity. Pendlebury is a very smart player if he lays tackles on the Melbourne in and under types he will rack up free kicks

        • theRealPod says:

The Pies at the G will be enough to stop the Dees. I know it was only Freo but geez they look good.

Also hoping Hibberd picks up Lever role as he's cheap as chips.

    • Jack says:

I'm considering it pod but at the same time Melbourne have a 3 game average of winning by 70 points (a guess) which is unsustainable and I think he plays a role which is good in a winning team.

  59. Moosehead says:

I did write last week to hold T. Kelly after his 10 possession last quarter in round 10. Damo, who seems to know what he is about can’t get it right every week. However folks, particularly newcomers to SC. DON’T pay much heed to the keyboard warriors who often sprout crap. Read carefully what experienced and helpful campaigners write – Pie, Derek, Hawk and maybe Neil who is a little bias to his Demons.

    • INPieman says:

Well I traded Kelly to smith & had Smith onfield. And Banfield to Rocky. And fluffed my captain loop hole from a boozy afternoon on the golf course. I'm on the catwalk heading to the hall of shame. Almost dropped out of the top1k after the train wreck of round 11

      • hedski says:

I was wondering why you didn't take Gawns score Pie, how'd the golf go?
I go alright front nine then the beers kick in round the back.

        • INPieman says:

I'm like John Daly. I get better the more I drink! 43 points playing off 12 in the comp. Great day. But that captaincy blunder cost me plenty of league matches. Reversed trades just before the round started & completely forgot the captain reset to Danger. When I went to take Gawn's score I'd missed lock out by about 5 minutes. Then I saw Rocky was tagging Titch & puked

  60. Blueth says:

    Angus brayshaw for D6 anyone?

    • Tibor says:

Might have missed the boat on this one. Would have been great at his start point but didn't play early season. Other concern is he will miss a lot of footy if he gets another head knock

    • INPieman says:

You'd want some trades up your sleeve. Another concussion would result in an extended spell

  61. Blakey says:

    Out:
    B. Ronke FWD $325,100
    T. Cole DEF $279,100

    In:
    P. Ahern FWDMID $123,900
    L. Austin DEF $159,700

      P. Ahern FWDMID $123,900
      L. Ryan DEF $523,100
      L. Austin DEF $159,700

    • Ricardo says:

      Ryan's a keeper

    • redherringfc says:

Hurley to Ryan is sideways (or even a downgrade, despite the prices) Hurley’s coming into my team after his bye. I have Ryan and he’s been great, but I fear a drop off as the season winds on. If I didn’t have either, I’d hardly even consider Ryan at this point in the season.

As for Cole. I desperately need him for cover in rounds 13 and 14. How are you’re numbers looking in 13 and 14?

  63. Tibor says:

    Out: Ronke, Mirra, Garlett

In: Robbie Gray, Ahern , Mihocek.

    ?????

    • FFC says:

Can you hold Ronke – for bye coverage, unless you don't need? Mihocek had a good first game, but played Freo at MCG, maybe wait a week? Bring in port player good move…i've got Gray and Westhoff

    • DavidC says:

I wouldn't be getting Gray, too much time forward.

      • Defying_Madness says:

I think he still may be the best option of all the port players. Maybe Hoff is up there as well. Gonna have to pick up one of these port players so I might go with Gray

    • nvol says:

Shouldn't really be trading 3 times this week.

      • SC_Sixty6 says:

He can trade all he wants.

Gray average atm Tibor but good bye coverage.

  64. road to number 1 says:

I guess porkchop didn't move up the ranking, we would of heard of it by now.

    • Doc says:

      Here's a novel idea, don't be antagonistic 👍

    • Richard says:

Ever heard the expression "don't poke a dumb animal with a stick."

    • NEIL demons delight says:

Those guys/guy have been good for a while and more helpful than anyone. Hope they ignore this remark and tell me who to get Simmo or JJK. .NDD

    • DavidC says:

Funny how everyone knows who he is talking about.

  65. Kevdup says:

M Crouch & J Kelly looked composed and set to explode.
    Anyone else considering!

  66. TheGreatBozza says:

Scored a par 2132. Like a most of us, I was let down by Pendles, Cripps, Cogs, Billings (for the 99th time), Simpson, McLean.
Held rank at 2256 which I'm pretty happy with considering the last few seasons i've finished around 5k

Currently rolling with 5-6-6 for the byes in terms of premos missing, but have 19 trades left.

This week I'm looking at Billings > Austin via DPP
    Higgins > Heeney

Holding out for Kelly / Macrae as my last mid

  67. TOPHAWK1 says:

Who needs to go from these two clowns in my back line for Austin. Murphy or Mirra? And why?

    • Steeeve says:

Murphy. Mirra has a -10 break even.

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

I agree Steeeve. Murphy will get the chop for good after that effort yesterday. Might as well move him on now as Mirra is quite likely to come back in after his bye. Cheers mate.

    • INPieman says:

Mirra isn't playing & Murphy won't be either. So probably Mirra because he's worth more to cash out

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

Hi Pieman. The only thing with Mirra is that he was unlucky to get dropped in the first place. Could he not be named soon after his bye? Or is the need to raise more cash more important now, instead of nurturing the rooks. The fast cash from Mirra would be handy as I am trying to build a serious war chest. Murphy will get dropped this week after his 26 and may not be back, so he also needs to be moved on. Got 16 trades so I will be trading hard during the byes.

        • INPieman says:

I don't think he was unlucky to get dropped. He butchered it & got the arse. This is when we most need warm bodies & cash

          • TOPHAWK1 says:

Cheers Pieman. You got me thinking now. Either way, it looks like both need to get punted out. Will try and remove both this week. I am working on amassing a shock and awe warchest!!

          • Flinders boy says:

Agree Pieman. Clarkson likes clean disposers.

        • Defying_Madness says:

Clarko won't change the backline much after the bye he will probably tinker around with the forward line to fix our low conversion rate. So I doubt Mirra will be playing any time soon, I kicked him out last week.

          • TOPHAWK1 says:

Cheers DM. Makes perfect sense. Mirra is already worth decent coin anyway despite his – BE. I need to get moving so will probably cash him in this week.

        • NEIL demons delight says:

Hi Toppa Murphy's going to be deadwood and as you allude to Mirra was unlucky. I am low on trades but only but only need to swap Cole for Simmo POINTLESS doing it just now . that leaves me with 20 genuine prems plus KELLY and FRITZ both almost prems if not the real deal .I am sure even Wow would end up with a nearly prem.. Been an interesting year cheers mate NDD

          • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

2 to go for me mate with Fritsch on the pine. 🙂

            • TOPHAWK1 says:

Hi Trigga. You reckon I should just get it over and done with and punt both this week. Happy to trade in Austin, but not sure on going early on Mihocek. What happens when Howe returns despite him playing a fair bit forward yesterday. One thing is for sure mate, I am going hard over the byes. 16 trades. Probably burn 6-7 in the next 3 weeks to leave me full premo and with 9-10 left for the run home. Downgrades first, build the warchest and then go bang next week! Possibly JJK, and then Hurley the week after. I cannot remember having a ranking of 12K at this time of the season. I am fully bye ready and have lots of good fattening rooks. Hopefully can trade hard from here and come home like a bat out of hell!!

              • Shake_n_Bake_ says:

Mihocek played the Reid, Moore role ytday Hawk. Howe coming back wont effect him but the other 2 might if and when ready.

          • TOPHAWK1 says:

You are not wrong Neil!! I am experiencing my worst ranking for years at the midpoint of the season. 12 K. (Putrid) That said, I feel that I am not in a bad position with 16 trades left and lot's of good rookies which are fattening nicely. Fully bye ready too without major injury concerns. The plan this week is to build a massive warchest by taking 2 rooks down to the abattoir for 2 downgrades this week. Looking to punt Mirra for Austin, and Crowden for Ahern (Early). That would put $400K in the bank for possibly one upgrade. Just not sure if there are any screaming upgrade options this week. Will keep pondering. Cheers mate!

          • Derek says:

Murphy will be lucky to play.

Mirra will get more games. Duraye only needs one more below average game to get dropped

            • TOPHAWK1 says:

Thanks Derek. I noticed you are moving very nicely up the rankings! My ranking is terrible at the moment. (12K) Worst ranking I have had in years at the mid point of the season. I just have not quite nailed things to date. Confident I am not far away though. I am fully bye ready, with a lot of nice growing cows. Been fairly disciplined with trades to date. Still have 16. I want to do 3 downgrades this week to build a massive war chest. I can punt Mirra, Murphy, Crowden, or even Ronke. Want to keep Guelfi, Spargo, ZGL, Smith, Holman, and Doedee for a bit longer as these guys still have a bit of cash to make and are crucial going into next weeks bye. I can grab Austin for murphy or Mirra which would raise $50K or $107K respectively and go early on Ahern by punting Crowden. There is another $85K. Then the 3rd downgrade is the tough one. Ronke to Callum Moore? That trade would yield $192K. My total warchest would then sit at $540-$600K. Then the final push to upgrade to the remaining premos would then start in round 13 to complete my side by the end of the byes. Its going to be an interesting 3 weeks! Cheers mate,

    • redherringfc says:

Mirra has the bye this week. I’d hold him just on the off chance he gets a recall.

Murphy isn’t going to go up too much from his current price. Unless desperate for a warm body, I’d punt him regardless of whether he is named or not.

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

Derek thinks Mirra is likely to play more games and has a -10 BE. If Mirra is not named going into round 13 or 14, then perhaps move him on then. Murphy is gone for Logan Austin. That is now a lock. Thanks herring.

  68. SCWars94 says:

Murphy. Will be lucky to stay in the team and scoring is horrible

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

I agree mate. Good chance he will get dropped again. Mirra has the bye this week anyway and was unlucky to get dropped last week. He could well be named again very soon.

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

think I may go early on mihoc as I need a rd 13 bye player as have 3 rd 12 and and 3 rd 14
he may be dropped for galluci so may as well.

      2 spots left to fill.
1 is reserved for Hurley after his bye.
      Other choice
bring in walters this week for spargo
      or
wait a week bring in hurn for spargo and push sicily fwd

thinking walters – will struggle to get 18 rd 14 but maybe can bring in a couple of rooks who have had their bye ie adhern to get the numbers.

      • Florence says:

        Will Spargo survive this week?

        • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

Some good work in the magoos for the dees.
Spargo might get a rest for one if the in form lads chomping at the bit

  69. TOPHAWK1 says:

Just heard unconfirmed report that Coniglio is OUT next week with delayed concussion. That would mean he would miss the following week also. (Bye) WOW. What carnage.

    • DavidSA says:

Just like Howe for a different reason

      I have both

Was looking into Howe for Rance – has not scored a stinker all year and is hovering around the 75 to 105 so far. Howe to Rance is 80k made, Crisp for Collingwood is flying and Greenwood back will get going soon enough too and that worries me about keeping Howe.

I can afford to bring Rance in, will still have 5 defenders playing rd14

Was going Spargo to Westhoff too sure he might lose another 20k but what's the point waiting another week. This trade needs to be done for me

The interesting trade out of all them for me is flogging off Murphy for Heron.. makes 106k but won't ever get Herons score in the best 18 lol but could be crucial for rd14 back up and a future looping donut on bench after byes

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

        Hi David,

I have Howe, but not Cogs. Howe should be back after his bye. He can stay on the bench until then. I have to punt Mirra for Austin and Murphy for another rook. Obviously Mihocek is an option but would have to go early, but Jacob Heron is an interesting one! Forgot he was on the bubble this week. (Only a small bubble mind you) It would be a very interesting trade. It would raise some fast cash. BUT will he still be playing come round 14? Not sure about his JS. He could get the chop at any time. Worth consideration though! Cheers

      • BadgerHoney7 says:

i would get mihocek over heron

      • Moana says:

Is Howe definately out this week?

    • Sc_Wow says:

Wouldn’t be the worst time for it to happen though. Have 22 playing this week I’d rather he miss this week than round 14

  70. BadgerHoney7 says:

need to bring in a premo mid this week for jaeger, so who and why? (i am all good for byes so it doesn't affect that.

    • Ja191 says:

who’s in your midfield already ?

      • BadgerHoney7 says:

thinking clarry oliver, already have fyfe, danger, titch, dusty, zerrett, cripps, gaff.

        • theRealPod says:

Definitely Clarry. His numbers are improving, just wish he would kick the bloody thing more.

    • TBone_9 says:

How much can you spend mate? There are some decent bargains to be had, but Oliver should definitely be in top 8 mids come end of the season

      • BadgerHoney7 says:

have enough for anything just wanna know if oliver has finally recovered over that finger injury of his.

        • Ja191 says:

A career high 38 disposals on the weekend says he has. Don’t think it was that much of a worry otherwise he would have had a week off

        • SamuraiPizzaCat says:

38 disposals on the weekend, I'd say his finger is ok

  71. Shake_n_Bake_ says:

This week in all of my league matches l come up against teams that all have Mclean & Sicily im the only one who doesn’t have any. Hope that gives me a leg up but who knows. Im counting on bringing in Sicily after his bye.

    • theRealPod says:

That worked out well for ya SnB. Definitely grab Sicily after the bye, he's a must have imo.

      • Sc_Wow says:

        As is Mclean

        • Shake_n_Bake_ says:

Mclean BE is thru the roof with the bulldogs playing in adel after the bye might wait an extra week in that one.

  72. Bells says:

Ent for a big score with the VC on Danger and then the C on Fyfe.
    Nek minut….

  73. The Ranger says:

Who should I get as my M8?
Currently have Macrae, Danger, Fyfe, Mitchell, Oliver, Crouch and Cogs.
The plan was to get Dusty after his bye but I'm wavering on that now.

    • redherringfc says:

      J Kelly?

Cripps or Bont, if you want a player for rounds 13 and 14.

But you’ll kick yourself when Dusty starts to fire.

      • The Ranger says:

Yeah if I get him in he'll carry on with the 85's and if I don't he'll av 130 for the rest of the year.
        That's the way it works isn't t?

  74. redherringfc says:

Have been sitting at 16th in a league for ages, but in the last 2 weeks I’ve knocked off 1st and 2nd place.

This week I’m up against 3rd place and current projections have me up by over 200.

Those guys must be peeved they didn’t get me in the earlier rounds.

  75. Ahmad rubas says:

Fyfe banned for a week that gets rid of my captain option this week

    • Sc_Wow says:

      Confirmed?

      • DavidSA says:

Man this year has been odd
Great rookies arguable the best ever
Followed by premium spuds and carnage

        • Ahmad rubas says:

I know how you feel Fyfe cogs this week hibberd petracca billings Goldstein Kelly throughout the season

      • Ahmad rubas says:

Confirmed but hopefully he challenges and gets off surprised he got suspended I reckon he is no.1 favourite for brownlow

    • redherringfc says:

Yeah, but everyone has him and you’d have a pretty strange side if you couldn’t field 18 this week.

I can bring Phillips on field and still loophole Holman from the bench.

      • Ahmad rubas says:

Yeah I can still field 18 but I'm going a risky vc with josh Kelly so liked the idea of a safe C in Fyfe don't have that anymore

        • redherringfc says:

Same with Kelly. Into Gawn, I think.

I’ll settle for 120 from Kelly, unless I’m chasing points and then I might go with Oliver if my opponents have Gawn as captain.

          • Ahmad rubas says:

Yeah I'll take 120 from Kelly as well. Not so sure with Gawn going against grundy

    • theRealPod says:

Not over yet. They'll have a crack at getting him off. Personally I hope he gets it downgraded to a fine but let's be honest, it looked bad.

      • gator59 says:

If fyfe scored like he did on the weekend I don't think he'll be missed

Same as dusty, cripps and a heap of so called premos that are absolute shite at the moment

        • theRealPod says:

I think it was more brilliance from the Pendles tag and no hit outs to advantage from Sandi that found him out. Dusty's problem is he's all cashed up now.

  76. TBone_9 says:

Oh god no, FYFE BANNED! Bye chaos has hit

  77. BlueBaggerJosh says:

If Fyfe and Cogs are out it takes me to 18 on field, not the best predicament

    • Defying_Madness says:

Same here. Possibly less as Murphy, Smith and Ridley could all get the axe

  78. DavidC says:

    Fyfe banned. The carnage continues.

  79. Jack says:

Fyfe is out. I feel Jock at a time like this would be calling for calm. But I think his advice would be don't trade out warm bodies

    • Jack says:

Also I think Jock would be excited about Gawn and Grundy playing each other this week like 2 big behomoths locking horns to see who's king

    • SC_Sixty6 says:

Maybe you should change your name to jock….jack?

    • theRealPod says:

      Is that you Jock?

  80. jam says:

Titch cleared, Fyfe banned… Seems legit

  81. Steeeve says:

I can either bring in Austin this week or Mihocek after his bye.
Will have enough warm bodies this week regardless, next week not 100% but should be okay.

Or I can bring them both in but will require cashing out Austin or Rice way early for Mihocek after the next two Saints games.

I also have Mirra and Doedee qho will turn into premos before the byes are over.

Worth bringing in Austin or not? And if so, worth trading Rice to Mihocek for what should be a 120k warchest gain in a couple of weeks?

  82. Shake_n_Bake_ says:

Im one who believes Fyfe should have got his week but still scratching my head how titch didn’t receive the same for that off the ball incident.

    • SC_Sixty6 says:

You're about the only one. Can't see anyone agreeing with you other than the fact they'll go against me.

    • Russty_ says:

Didn't look good shake but I reckon the fact that Greenwood wasn't hurt and played out the rest of the game should count for leniency, that Titch incident, if you mean when he elbowed Goldy?…after the game Goldy said he barely felt it, and it just "brushed his hair".

    • Defying_Madness says:

Don't see how there was anything in the Titch incident.

    • theRealPod says:

I agree SnB. Titch was intentional as well and most importantly was off the ball. Technically should of been given a week.

    • Beezneez says:

I'm kinda glad he's out seeing as Freo will be playing the Crows reserves – Lynch and Douglas added to the injury list. Fyfe may still get off on appeal. The trouble was he jumped in the air causing the smack to the head. On the other hand it is not good if he misses the Brownlow because of it – like Dangerfield last year.

  83. BadgerHoney7 says:

This is on the 'About Us' page of Jocks site, I reckon we need to follow this.

Teamwork – If you’re the smartest bloke in the room – you’re in the wrong room. We know that to become great you need to surround yourself with greatness. Our proud community is littered with the best in the fantasy footy business. I’d know – I’ve been in this caper for 37 years.

Respect – This is one place where no comment, no tweet, no facebook post, no call into the podcast is shot down in flames. We are all on a journey and we RESPECT every opinion, regardless of which part of the journey it’s made on.

        The irony.

        • Sc_Wow says:

Cmon Rick surely you can move past the negativity for the good of the community. There have been a few members which have been targeted as of late and they have been shown very little respect

    • SC_Sixty6 says:

Spot on with surround yourself in greatness! The community has had greatness surround them this year for sure!!

Stick together community. We are one!

Talk about shooting someone down in flames…..didn't you just read the post.

Again more negativity Pie! Not on! I'm actually surprised you didn't use any profanity so that's a start.

        • Sc_Wow says:

Cmon pie, please read the original post. People are sick of the negativity and personal attacks against valued memebers of the community.

    • INPieman says:

It shouldn't be about being shot down & afraid to ask a question. This is about a novice or good player asking a question to the public who know the gig to help them. Speak your mind & start a discussion & don't get ridiculed for doing so. Until this becomes a policed member only community it wont happen. Which costs money. So the trolls get away with it. It's a sad reality unfortunately

      • SC_Sixty6 says:

You've been the #1 troll in the past few weeks. Appauling behaviour from a so called 'respected' community member. Although 🐑 will respect anything….

        • Help me says:

Surely you 2 realise that the majority of this stuff happens when you's are involved??? You's show up this yr and it all goes apesh#t and you's seriously think you have nothing to do with the problem???
Show some humility, put your hands up and admit you've caused problems when there's no need and everyone will respect you just a slight little bit
Until then, this "I'm better than you" attitude will only see the community looking at you for what you clearly have been, a disgrace to this site

The funny thing is when you's first showed up it was like you's were doing market research for your own podcast and dropping hints as to when it would happen, imagine all the people who wont be listening to it lol great marketing right there

You's should call the podcast "we are the greatest, ignore us at your peril you miserable sheep"
It would fit your persona oerfectly

          • Sc_Wow says:

Want to say you’s one more time?
Stop bringing negativity to the site mate. The podcast is aimed at bringing more greatness to this community.

          • SC_Sixty6 says:

Sounds like a bunch of old men stuck in their ways and don't want to add any more members into the community. I understand what people were saying about this place on the other forums/communities now.

As much negativity is thrown around at certain members here I just look past it and move on to the SC related topics on the site. No one's perfect so I'm willing to forgive people around here.

Adelaide will always be my team. But like i have said in another post. I am really only following the AFL for SC now. The game and the way the league is run has ruined everything for me..

          Dam Russty can't edit now!
Let / may / get the force up ya. Its all good!!

  85. KSinny says:

Fyfe to challenge his ban. Let's hope he gets off.

    • Russty_ says:

Hope so Sinny..don't like his chances though, was a bit silly of Fyfe, he might've gotten off if the ball was a bit closer to Greenwood.

  86. Gem says:

The Fyfe footage doesn't look good. Jump off ground, raised elbow.
However, Greenwood tapped the ball over so Fyfe reacted to jumping as a split second reaction to go higher into the contest.
I don't know, that's how I saw it, but it looks bad. But, I was at Dreamtime on Saturday night and Rance's dive was laughable.
The fun and games of we're just not sure what the punishments will be.

    • Russty_ says:

Freo are challenging the one match ban against Fyfe and Rance copped a fine for his pathetic staging, when will he stop with that crap?..lol

  87. TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

    Lever out.
    Q. Does this push Tmac back or free up Hibberd to put him back in the role he had last year?
    Or
    No impact on either?

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Hi Trigga. Lever suffering this terrible injury setback does increase the likelihood that Hibberd will get some sort of a role change. I am keeping him as he has not been all that bad in the last month in any case. (Not great either) Hoping he will pick up his scoring due to the Lever hole back there. Good luck to Lever in his recovery.

      • SC_Sixty6 says:

Yeh 3 rd avg of 68 for the 🐖 I'd call that terrible and no where near being good. But at just under 400k it's no point moving him on. You've stuck with him for 11 horrible weeks so what's another 12.

        • TOPHAWK1 says:

Looking forward to Hibbo coming home hard!! The next 12 weeks might not be so bad. Why so negative mate? Rocky and now Hibbo! Thought you were better than that.

  88. Russty_ says:

Hey Trig, read that Sam Frost or Joel Smith could be inline to replace Lever, Cam Pederson also in the mix to make a return, kicked 4 goals on the weekend,
Even if T-Mac does go back he'll still score well I reckon, just not huge because the goals won't be there.

    • NEIL demons delight says:

That's what I heard at the club Pederson has kicked 6.5 and 4 the last 3 weeks. Talk is The Great Tommy Mac to defense Pederson forward.. Wagner and Tyson also being bandied around. Myself I would go for Frosty. It's got to be remembered Lever has only just came good.Six fairly ordinary games NDD

  89. r_calve says:

question for everyone, now that crouch is back is Bryce Gibbs a good option for C/VC, he plays better when crouch or Sloane are in the midfield because he gets no attention from taggers or run with payers and he is one of the best second possession players in the comp and crouch always gives him the hands off while guys like cam Ellis yolmen just roost it to the opposition, this wek he should have got lik 150 points and the next to weeks he has a fyfeless freo and the ever inconsistent hawks could he perhaps be a good option or even finish as one of the better midfielders.

this isn't that relevent im just bored, thoughts anyone!?!?

  90. TOPHAWK1 says:

Looks like the tag team are at it again tonight. Have a look at Pieman's thread posted earlier today. Up to 23 posts now. Are these two jokers joking?

Another blatant personal attack to bring nothing but negativity to this great site. Did you not read badgers post.

      Just be humble mate

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

Did you just assume I implicated you with that post? I am so sorry mate. Never entered my mind.

Anyway, now that you have spilled your guts, let me tell you this. I have been writing on this great site for a lot longer than you my friend. Despite my lower ranking at the moment, I hope the community appreciates my contribution.

        Cheers

        • Sc_Wow says:

Yeah in classic hawk style you had a passive dig after not being able to hold a conversation.
Why are you bringing rank into it mate? Maybe this year you can help the community out with ‘what not to do’.
Could chuck your rocky example in there, holiding Hibberd etc. Could be helpful.

          Cheers

          • TOPHAWK1 says:

Not sure how things will be improved but I have faith that this community can be restored and newer players don’t need to be scared to ask a question without being belittled.
