The Standing Room | Round 7

Well community, Geelong v GWS was a bit pox wasn’t it?

Pull up a stool and grab a beer, let’s chat.

My summary of the night is as follows:

Kelly, Henry, Selwood = Good

Gongigliog = Bad

Dangerfield with a 108 = Cheap Soon But Injured Maybe?

Finlayson = Running Out Of Gas

Let’s talk trades and VC/C.

I’ll be taking Selwood’s 135 myself.

  1. Jbara says:

DEF: Laird, Lloyd, Hibberd, Murray, Finlayson, Doedee

    (Murphy, Mirra)

MID: Fyfe, Martin, Cripps, Titch, Danger, Kelly, CEY, Holman (Brayshaw, Banfield, Barry)

    R: Nic Nat, Gawn (English)

F: Heeney, McLean, Sicily, Billings, Stephenson, Fritsch

    (Higgins, Ryan)

plan on doing trade (1) Banfield > Zerrett

Trade (2) OPTIONS Murphy > Cole

    Billings > Dev Smith

    Holman/brayshaw > Spargo

    Open to ideas (320k bank)

  2. benodonohue says:

I’ve got the VC on Mitchell for today and C on Gawn for Sunday’s game. If needed I will use olango ruck loop straight after hawks game depending on Mitchell performance today. Agree, Finlayson will be traded out of mine during the week..

  3. theRealPod says:

Henry was awesome last night. The new Harry Taylor?

What to do with T Kelly. Eventually trade him to a top 8 mid or keep him as a M9. I'm thinking up to a nice pod after the bye.

Dangerfield is definitely carrying a small injury or two. He is improving but with Gaz to return will he stay in the fwd line? If you haven't already got the man, he will be damn cheap soon.

  4. Mr.Brightside says:

Higgins or Holman on field ?,can't loop already doing it with Henry

    • Ahmad rubas says:

I'd back Holman in bounce back with 80+

    • Beezneez says:

Have to make the same choice but throw Spargo and Crowden into the mix. Thinking Holman to bounce back – don't like the fact that he is named on the bench whereas Crowden is named on the ball. Spargo may be the one. as well. Wish I had a loop in the mids but I haven't. Don't think Holman will be tagging cos Bont is out.

  5. Eric_the_Red says:

Should I trade buddy to mundy to make it a 5 premium forward line, or trade buddy to Bont to make it a 6 premium mid?

  6. elliot says:

should've had the emergency on Langdon last night :/ stupidly had him on field with curnow on bench could have maybe loopholed fritsch :/

  7. Ahmad rubas says:

Laird Hurley hibberd finlayson doedee cole (Murray coffield)
Danger titch Fyfe Cripps coniglio telly banfield Holman (jelly dow brayshaw)
    Gawn Goldstein (olango)
Heeney smith petracca billings Higgins Langdon (fritsch crowden)
    25 trades 76k
Would the best move be double downgrade next week then bring in dusty round 9?

  8. Octa says:

Any news on Petracca re his training test this morning?

  9. One Touch Wonder says:

The SHARK MOVE has been made. Ultimate POD. Only in 1532 teams. Delayed start to the season. Last two scores of 95 and 127. Might go 150+ this week. Will easily be in the top 10 forwards for the year. Same price as Sicily but in better team and a better player.

    • Junka says:

      Yeh, who?

    • Troy says:

Tom Lynch? lol not in a better team and not better than Sicily

      • Troy says:

Also, who cares about top 10 forwards, you want the top 6 forwards and Tom Lynch won't even be in the top 10, let alone top 6

        • One Touch Wonder says:

Thanks for your input Troy. Very insightful. It is Tom Lynch. Not the handsome one.

          • Phil says:

Good luck OTW, I don't mind hearing your SHARKMOVE. Robbie Gray as a pod move, sounds obvious now but you did get a bit of backlash at the time.
That's the thing about sharkmoves, they are not popular at the time otherwise everyone would good luck with Lynch, I ain't going there but I do rate him as a player

          • Troy says:

How's that POD workin' for ya?

            • One Touch Wonder says:

Great. I will let you know in 16 weeks. It is idiot comments like that Troy that not only show how heartless you are to fellow community members, but also indicates your lack of SuperCoach knowledge.

              • BadgerHoney7 says:

risky moves are invaluable in supercoach, however in saying that tom lynch is not better than sicily at all. sicily has now scored 125,61,110,123,145. that's uber premium scoring and he is honestly in contention for AA.

  10. Rick says:

    Christensen – Sicily
    Bonner – Cole

Banfield – Merrett and combination of one of the above?

  11. Hoot says:

With Bont out who from WBD will likely move field positions?

  12. Simon says:

Bontempelli a late out- this is the week from hell

  13. Mike says:

Hey guys! How should I use my 2 trades for this week? I have 300k leftover and 25 trades for the season.

DEF: Laird Yeo Doedee Murray Naughton Richards (Mirra Murphy)
MID: Titch Dusty Fyfe Bontempelli Cripps Parker Kelly* Finlayson* (Holman Banfield Coffield)
    RUCK: Gawn Nank (Olango)
FWD: Heeney Smith Sicily Petracca Billings Fritsch (Langdon Guelfi)

  14. Marty says:

vc and c – Mitchell into Gawn

  15. Marty says:

Bombers v Hawks – only change is Henderson out for Cousins.

  16. sc tragic says:

Supercoach the game that keeps on giving….

  17. Pete says:

Hey guys take Selwood score 135?
    Or go Gawn, dusty, mitchel?

  18. TommyC99 says:

I know I just asked this in the panic room, but Titch or Gawn C?

  19. hedski says:

Geez Crossley from the suns looks a willing type, and McLean is a tough bugger, that hit would have hurt.

  20. HumanBob says:

Another nightmare round for me. Bont a late out, had gileslangdon onfield instead of Henry and now there's talk that Heeney might be a late scratching which will mean putting Garlett onfield

  21. Russty_ says:

Merrett off to a flyer on 7 points at quarter time, T-Mitch is being tagged by Heppell, not working too well so far haha

  22. Tyruddanaut says:

    Lift Merrett and Smith!!!
    Like, now

  23. HumanBob says:

Wow big Max's last 3 against the saints make me worry about giving him the C. 96, 128, 56 ave only 93

    • Russty_ says:

Just had a look at that 56 point game Bob, Gawn had 16 disposals, 19 hitouts, 5 frees against and 5 clangers, whilst Pederson was best on ground for the Dees.
      I wouldn't worry about Gawny.

  24. HumanBob says:

What's gonna happen if Floggard goes to Flogily in the 2nd half? I'm predicting a massive black hole will open and all of the flogs in the crowd will be sucked into it along with anybody from Heraldsun

  25. Tyruddanaut says:

Ooh… is OLango to Crossley in two weeks a bad trade?

  26. DavidSA says:

Holman I'm glad you are making cash but damn you for looking like a 90+ score πŸ˜₯ On my bench lol

  27. INPieman says:

Who had balls big enough to put Holman onfield

  28. HumanBob says:

Bomber Hawks should be free-to-air. I got sucked in by the Newslimited/foxtel now scam and now have to pay $40 p/month to HS and $40 p/month to Foxtel if I want to watch the footy. If I hadn't signed up to heraldsuns' FREE foxtel now offer I'd be a lot better off. Sly HS mongrels made their subscription fee slightly less than VCAT case costs. So that if you want to standup for your rights to watch footy you'll be worse off.
The make Goddard and Sicily look like 1st choice for your best man.

  29. allen says:

anyone know what dangers price and b/e will be around this week?

  30. DavidSA says:

How Stringer gets a game over Guelfi is beyond me
He was let go by the Dogs for a reason

  31. Tyruddanaut says:

    Naughton Loophole, check.

  32. allen says:

who to field out of banfield, brayshaw or d.fogarty (ade)
with botempelli out i need to put one on the field. my opponent in my cash laegue have similiar players and he has banfield on field. looking like i wont get up unless i take a risk.. thinking of putting brayshaw on field..

or… will fogarty go alright against carlton?

  33. Defying_Madness says:

Naughton to Bonner has to be one of my greatest trades 😭

  34. Holty01 says:

Wow. Decided to put Roughy on the bench and keep fisher onfield to get henrys score. Looks like Roughy is finally going to score something respectible.

  35. BlueBaggerJosh says:

Traded in Macrae 😍, should've put the C on him, Backing Gawn to go nuts on Saints though.

  36. Defying_Madness says:

Macrae the new danger? He is looking like a must have

  37. INPieman says:

JOM you prick. But I'm happy with his replacement

  38. Ja191 says:

hmmm do I take the mitchel vc if he makes 120 before the west coast game starts?

  39. AuroraBorealis?! says:

Zerrett cannot handle a tag, i think this is a lesson i can take into the following seasons: NO MIDGETS (apart from Titch)

  40. HumanBob says:

Zach Merrett might be the cheapest bombers Merrett in a week or two. Talk about an overated player he was shut down by a learner.
Commiserations to anybody who forgot that players drop massive amounts in price because they're spuds not because theyre bargains. A fallen premo is just an overpriced spud by another name.

Still a bit angry about getting scammed by Heraldscum so everybody is copping it from me, sorry. Not sorry to Merrett though

    • DavidSA says:

      Slow down
Look at his 2 seasons b4 this one and take note he had one game knocked out early which was the real catalyst to his drop in price. I will acknowledge though he is not handeling the tag yet in his career

    • Crowboy94 says:

He was shit because everyone traded him in this week! Like you Moron!

  41. hedski says:

Shout out to my new recruits this week, well done Jelwood and Good Toby, 270 odd points between you, bloody great work fellas.

  42. Ben says:

Pretty happy with trading Sicily in this week

    • Derek says:

I bet you are. I’m just happy the Hawks beat the Bombers. The logical thing was to get him, but I just couldn’t. I Might regret it.

Not as much as I regret trading TKelly to Dangerfield. Wouldn’t mind that one over.

      • Frozen water bomber says:

Dont worry derek not the only one, i had him all week and 10 mins before last nights game reversed my trades, he had to go big because i did that

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Traded in Sicily as well. Bloody stoked. But my joy may be short lived IF he decides to have another brain explosion. Bloke is a gun when playing.

    • Westy says:

Me too. Yep, he may be a flog, but he's our flog.

  43. TheGreatBozza says:

Wow Macrae! Didn’t see such a high ceiling on him. Well done to all that jumped on

What are the thoughts on taking Titchells 127? Gawn would be my C option. I’m going to take Holmans 67 over Banfield

    • Unagi_Don says:

Didn't see the high ceiling on Macrae?! – starts the season with four out six matches 120, 142, 131, 141 and now the 189. An accumulator, good kick to handball ratio, high tackle numbers = the most SC-friendly combo. Still don't understand how he was a POD in 6% of teams after round 6.

Gotta put it down to the Dogs being a minnow club, plus over-shadowed by the magnetism of the Bont.

Also, lessons from the past would suggest be smart/conservative and take the 127 (that's what I'm doing). Gawn's 3-round average against the Saints is 93, and feel like the saints aren't just lie back and think of England tmrw – it's a big game for them.

      • TheGreatBozza says:

Yep ill be the first to admit I got Macrae wrong. Will look to bring him in post bye, hopefully with his price coming back to 600k (hoping but doubtful at this point)

I’m locking in Titch too. Solid captains score

  44. Jim_bob321 says:

Thinking Gawn C but want a nice POD C….
    Cripps…. fyfe… laird.. simmo

  45. DavidSA says:

    WesthOFF tonight

    • theRealPod says:

No surprises with Ryder back. Port should of rested Ryder for one more week, they were playing good footy with previous structure.

  46. TOPHAWK1 says:

I am taking Titches VC score. 127 will do after trading in Sicily today. Not going to be greedy and risk Gawn having an off day. 400 points with Sicily debut score is gold. Time to consolidate.

  47. Justin says:

Anyone like Cripps as Captain instead of keeping it on Titch or going Fyfe/Dusty????

  48. Holty01 says:

My decision making this week has been horrible. ZGL on field instead of Henry. Put Roughy on the bench to loop Henrys score and Roughy tons up. Then decided if Naughton scores 70 plus id have him on field instead of Cole. Oh well, at least Henry and Cole are making me money

    • Frozen water bomber says:

I know he tonned up but why on earth do you have roughead? Not sure of his average but surely not your smartest move (not poking fun, i have billings)

      • Multi_ says:

In fairness to Holly he was a good starting price and with him swinging through Ruck and mid should be averaging higher. I seriously considered him when picking my team

      • Holty01 says:

He has been very underwhelming. He has been a very good sc scorer in the past. I was hoping he would get back to his best this year. Will hold however and hope he can repay the faith.

  49. Tyruddanaut says:

    52 HT
    75 FT

    57 HT

I hope I didn’t do the wrong Loophole with Naughton

  50. John says:

Do I keep Titch’s score or put the C on Gawn or Fyfe?

  51. Westy says:

    Brought in Sicily – woot.
Brought in Merrett – no woot.
Winners so far – Macrae, Sicily, Henry, T Kelly
I'm even happy with Keeffe's first game.

  52. JugHead says:

Who scores higher, Murray or Duman?

  53. Defying_Madness says:

Happy I brought in Yeo this week, now I just need Simpson to go big as well

  54. BiggySc says:

Had the vc on Macrae and worked some loophole magic with Jack Henry. Things are looking up this round! (Touch wood)

  55. Holty01 says:

Ive been saying if Kennedy gets the tag by jacobs and scores 90 plus, im bringing him in. 27 at quarter time not bad at all

  56. Russty_ says:

Looking ominous for Carlton, they are getting smoked on all lines.

    • HumanBob says:

Poor Seedsman can't get a touch, on the bench on the few occasions the ball crosses half way.
      Jenkins on track for 190+

      • Russty_ says:

Seed's goin ok, on 22, probably get his usual 90 or so..maybe the Blues feel a bit emasculated in their light grey onesy pyjamas.

        • HumanBob says:

We are the Navy LightGrays the old dark navy light greys, classy song.
Paddy Dow might pay off for anyone stingy enough to have kept him

          • Russty_ says:

Hehe good song..yeah Dow's looking ok, 42000 coaches still have him too..unbelieveable

          • Ahmad rubas says:

Yeah I'm one of those that have kept Dow. Going alright now with a breakeven of 14 and 50 with 66% gametime at half time. Could keep him till his bye

            • HumanBob says:

I admire your confidence in him Ahmad, there's no doubting his ability but for supercoach he's amongst the worst midfield rookie options. If I'd had him I would have traded him down to Higgins for the DPP alone considering this years forward carnage

              • Ahmad rubas says:

Yeah I agree that he isnt a good SuperCoach option only reason I started him was I panicked when brodie wasn't named in the Gold Coast squad and picked dow over Barry due to Carlton bias πŸ™‚ as for Higgins I brought him in for Murphy via coffield and was pleasantly surprised when mirra and guelfi got dropped/rested considering it seemed like he had the worst job security of the 3

        • HumanBob says:

Heeney isn't doing much, perhaps the visit to the coogee clinic did happen?

    • HumanBob says:

Kreuz will be really cheap after his bye at this rate. Might be able to swap him with Crossley

      • HumanBob says:

Just checked. Kreuz averaging 73 b.e was 176 and he got 63. If he'd scored 74 he would have dropped 46k to 497k. If he ave 80 between now and his bye he'll be about 400k nut I reckon he'll get 1 (bombers NW) or maybe 2 more games @ 60-70 then be rested until after the week after the bye. Have a look for a week then and if he's better get him for sub 400k

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Carlton fighting hard Russty. Just 16 points down 4 minutes from half time.

      • Russty_ says:

Yeah mate good to see, much better effort there in the second Q…hate boring games where one side gets flogged, like watching stkilda every week.

  57. TOPHAWK1 says:

Parker……..mate you better produce something in the second half, or you will become my first sideways trade this season. Giving me the absolute shits!!!

  58. nickgonzalez771 says:

Hating myself for picking up Cripps instead of Macrae this week. The only two in my sight and I picked wrong πŸ™ having Zerrett and Whitfield doesn't help either!

  59. Neverweaken says:

Cant take Titch VC score cos everyone played tonight. All good, I will loophole with Armitage. Who is playing!! Hope Gawn goes big tomorrow

  60. DavidSA says:

thank goodness Heeney getting into it when it matters

  61. JugHead says:

    That boy Garlett. He shit……….

  62. Russty_ says:

Bloody North Melbourne!…ruining my perfect tips, can't believe Sydney let that happen.

  63. DavidSA says:

    Crazy they let Titch go

  64. DavidSA says:

think Macrae and Crouch are πŸ’ for pick ups

  65. BlueBaggerJosh says:

shouldve traded in JPK over macrae! Will be about 470k anyone looking for a bargain buy, Macrae on the other hand might reach 700k the way he's going

  66. Crowboy94 says:

JPK is definitely getting considered this week!

  67. prizza says:

Hey trippers, should i take 66 for brayshaw ????? could mean a big win for me . Thx in advance

  68. Corey says:

At what stage does Sicily become an option again

    • BlueBaggerJosh says:

now, will probably be trading him in for finlayson

    • Unagi_Don says:

He is an absolute gun. Great intercept mark, pretty much only disposes the ball by foot, great disp. efficiency and metres gained. Surely 2 early season suspensions force the tail between his legs and incentivises him to repress some of his floggy-ness. Fingers-f***in-crossed.

I like him in my forward line given how inconsistent and injury prone the FWDs are this season.

    • theRealPod says:

If his 145 yesterday hasn't convinced you nothing will.

    • HumanBob says:

      Last Thursday

  69. prizza says:

He dickhead for life, can play though

  70. TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

Took a chance brought him in this week

  71. neil demons delight says:

crouch and JPK next week bang bang

  72. TBone_9 says:

Could take a gamble by trading Howe in for Murray this week, but I would only be able to afford Oliver next week if he scored less than 118 points against St Kilda tommorow. Should I take this risk, in order to get to full premium quicker? Cheers lads

    • TheBenchmark25 says:

If Howe and Oliver are in your plan I'd take the risk
Worst case scenario is a double downgrade where there should be a few good rookies next week

    • theRealPod says:

I'm getting Howe in over the next week or two and probably using Murray to do it, so yeah I like the move TBone.

      • TBone_9 says:

Cheers guys, because the Collingwood game doesn’t start until the Melbourne game gets to about half time, I’ll wait until then to see how Clarry’s doing before I make my decision. Just can’t ignore Howe’s price and love the idea of only being 5 away from full premo!

        • TheGreatBozza says:

I’m considering it too! I had toyed with Richards to Howe but thought I’d give Richards another shot. That has come back to bite me already!

          • TBone_9 says:

Sorry to hear Bozza! Red Richards should still have some money to make I feel though. You looking at making any upgrades this coming week? Or just double downs?

    • Russty_ says:

I did that this week Tbone, Howe is very nicely priced and probably won't be so bargain priced again, and Murray's scores starting to get mediocre.

      • TBone_9 says:

Yeah that’s kinda how I’m feeling Russty. Oliver is someone I missed out on last year though and as a Dees fan I can’t let him slip away from me this year too. He’s my number 1 priority right now (Macrae joint top priority now too)

        • Russty_ says:

He's well priced at the moment, I paid full price for him you said, keep an eye on him, if he's getting tagged and only 40-50 at half time you could be right, knowing Richo, he'll keep tagging him even though they're already losing by 10 goals.

  73. theRealPod says:

After Macrae smashing it and a few league opponents with the VC on him, I need to strike back with a massive C score. Who do you think out of Gawn, Dusty, Fyfe or Oliver?

  74. David says:

Is Macrae a must have this year?

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Starting to look that way. I am bringing in McLean next week after snaffling Sicily this week. After that, Macrae, Dusty, and Matt Crouch are probably the last 3 I will look at to complete the midfield. McLean and Macrae both have the handy bye as well.

      • David says:

Yeah good plan. I think I'm gonna try to bring in Danger in the next couple of weeks and then for my final mid spot I will probably trade TK to Macrae after Macrae has had his bye.

    • Lazza says:

With a third of the season gone, the odds are yes… not too many as consistent..

    • Derek says:

I didn’t think he would be top 8, but he will be very close. Obviously he and McLean did very well without the Bont. I didn’t believe McLean would be this good, now he is expensive.

  75. KSinny says:

Who to C out of Fyfe, Gawn, Oliver and Dusty??

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

I was going to grab Titch's VC score yesterday. But then I had a moment of wanton greed. I changed my mind and am going Gawn C against the Saints. Let's hope the supercoach gods got up on the right side of the bed this morning.

      • Derek says:

I have a 139 VC cut off this year. Tmitch didn’t make it. I’ll go with Gawn. For some reason Max has struggled against Hickey. That wasn’t the 2018 version of Max.

        • TOPHAWK1 says:

My cut off sits around 140 as well. I am comfortable Gawn can match Titches score of 127 and can IMO go a fair bit bigger if he is on song.

  76. Sam says:

Is Billings to Mundy worth a trade? I have 24 trades left.

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Its a sideways trade but Billings has been so bad I can understand you wanting to pull the trigger on him. I have Billings too. The thing is, Billings is young and fit. There is still a good possibility he will get better once he gets a bit of confidence back. Mundy is getting pretty long in the tooth and may faulter at some stage through either injury or a form slump. I think it is a risky play myself. Perhaps have another look at Billings today against the Dees, and see how Mundy handles the tiger heat in Melbourne this arvo mate. Just my take though.

  77. Steeeve says:

Any worthwhile defensive downgrades looming? Finlayson looking plump and maybe Murray too. At least one should probably go down to a rookie

  78. Shaun says:

Is holding on to toby green a dumb move he is listed as 1 to 2 weeks away.please need some help on this one cheers lads.

  79. Tiger says:

Who to field? Fritsch or Higgins. Thanks.

  80. Rocksta says:

Talk anout a great debut! I brought Sicily into my team this week and am stoked.
He may be a flog, but fk me can the boy play!
Matt Crouch looks ripe for the picking next week

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Aint it grand! Did the same. Let's hope he can control his temper from here. McLean coming in this week. Happy days!

    • theRealPod says:

His price before yesterday was what sealed it for me, an absolute bargain. We all need bench cover just in case, fingers crossed his focus is on his game.

      • Finnius says:

There was a moment yesterday when a player fell on top of him and tried to wind him up, grabbing his collar and that. Sicily just smiled, pushed him off and rolled away. That showed to me where his mind is at now. He knows he is a great player and extremely important to the team, and I think that we will see a Sicily in the future that is much more focused on the game and performing well for his team.

        I hope so anyways!

    • SC_Donkey says:

Yep! Dem Sicily punished me with his 145 of picking Mundy over him. Now I'm thinking if he's still worth bringing in next round or stick with my plan.

  81. Mr.Brightside says:

Is Tracca definitely playing ? Need to put Higgins in if he’s out, I’m looping Henry in already ,Thanks

  82. BadgerHoney7 says:

    Cotchin late OUT

  83. Neverweaken says:

Just bought Spargo in for Banfield. Swapped him with tracca in the mid. so if Tracca doesnt play i get Holmans score. And allows me to either double upgrade or one up one down next week.

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

I like it. I have traded out Banfield for Spargo as well. If Petracca does miss, he goes on the mid bench and Spargo gets a run onfield in the forward line. I call it risk management. Hehe

    • Russty_ says:

Hope Spargo goes well for ya…I'll be picking him up next week if he has a good one today πŸ™‚
I have Hogan and Tracca, not sure if either will be late outs, so I did the same with Trac, into the mids swing with Higgins..fingers crossed.

  84. simon says:

with Cotchin out do we think dusty c? had it on Gawn all week.. could also go Fyfe?

  85. BrownlowBoy says:

    Banfield onfield over Higgins ahhhhhhh

  86. TOPHAWK1 says:

Mundy on 4 SC at quarter time. This is why you do not touch long in the tooth players.

  87. Octa says:

Petracca and Fritsch both playing – whew!

  88. Russty_ says:

St Kilda v Melbourne at Etihad, 3.20pm AEST

    St Kilda: J.Steele, H.Clark, D.Armitage, N.Coffield
    Melbourne: J.Harmes, C.Spargo, B.Vince, B.Fritsch

  89. BadgerHoney7 says:

Dusty, you have been robbed their I tell you what – 4 behinds with 8 mins left in the last.

  90. INPieman says:

What the hell is wrong with Dusty. Surely he's playing injured

  91. Tyruddanaut says:

Dusty and Brayshaw, keep it up!
Higgins slow down, show me why I chose Guelfi

  92. cashcows says:

    I messed up.
Was supposed to change C from Martin to Gawn but forgot as I was playing chicken with my h2h who also had it on Martin.
He's swapped to Gawn what I assume was last minute.

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

When he saw that you had not changed the C from Martin to Gawn after the first bounce, he would have had over 2 hours to change it to Gawn. He can still change his mind now and put it on Oliver or Grundy etc if he had them.

      • cashcows says:

Yeah, main takeaway was that he ain't rolling with martin and it's looking like it'll swing in his favour.
richmond putting freo to the sword. Going to be a lot of richmond players with tons i reckon and I think martin will be at the bottom end of that, or he'll take the foot of the pedal.

        • Russty_ says:

Jeez he better get his foot back on the pedal again soon, Freo could still win this game, and dusty's barely touched it in the third

  93. DavidSA says:

Mundy 90 -130 against Richmond every game since 2014 and he is bending over saying no no no I don't need lube

  94. Steeeve says:

In my cash league, my opponent was just behind going into today. Had the C on Fyfe. I had mine on Gawn. Checked again, and they changed theirs to Gawn at the last minute! Example 10000000 of why you shouldn't match captains when you're narrowly losing — back your judgement.

  95. Russty_ says:

Jeez this one game is gonna sink my ship this week I think, I have Martin(56), Nank(50), Higgins(48) and Ryan(38) onfield, what a collectively spuddy performance at 3/4 time.

  96. Crowboy94 says:

Spud Sunday is back! Freo and Richmond you are SH#T

  97. BrownlowBoy says:

How has Jordan Lewis gained hair.

  98. DavidSA says:

Rich v Freo game is so shit there is still 270 sc pts up for grabs with 10 mins left

  99. hedski says:

    Captain Maxy on fire early.

  100. Russty_ says:

Gawn on 44 already!! WOW..go you bearded bugger.

  101. Defying_Madness says:

I hate you Billings, oh well he will probably score 60 next week

  102. Doc says:

If someone gets a free paid to them (like Gawn just did) do they get points for the free for even if their team takes the advantage?

  103. Ahmad rubas says:

please gawn be gentle im sorry for backing in tom mitchell

  104. Blueth says:

anyone NOT got the 'C' on Gawn?
You'd be annoyed at this stage

    • Holty01 says:

Thats a tough one to answer. The argument could be the reason they dont is because they picked their vc well. The others who have Gawn as their C are lucky because they made a poor choice with their vc selection. I had Titch so took his score. My opponent picked Danger who would of been disappointed with his score. Now he is probably thinking Danger is an absolute legend.

  105. Holty01 says:

Damn. Regretting Titch having a good game as ive taken the c off Gawn. Looks like he is about to go huge

  106. Finnius says:

Who traded kane Lambert? 3 x 120s in the last 4 weeks. Billings looking good today as well. Just goes to show you have to back your premos in unless there is a clear role change (like Hibberd)

  107. johnno2908 says:

What happens with Fritsch’s mark and effective kick near end of first quarter. It’s not on the stat sheet at all?

    • DavidSA says:

      It will get fixed up
Mundy was 44 pts at the end of the game but they gave him a free against when he got a contested mark and finished with 53 pts

  108. DavidSA says:

I think one of Savage or Webster is a valid D6 option
Saints are getting pounded all year

  109. Russty_ says:

Petracca you faacca and Fritsch you bitsch…move yer asses in the second half or one of you is gone next week..looking at you trac.

  110. TOPHAWK1 says:

My two usual spudsters are at it again. Billings and Petracca. One is going to McLean next week. Who will it be? The prick who scores the least SC points in the second half. Winner stays, loser condemned to the scrapheap. SIMPLE! Who says Supercoach is hard?

    • hedski says:

Unfortunately I'll have to hold Billings because he's fit (and shit), if I can upgrade him after byes I will but not sure I'll have that luxury the way injuries are going.

    • Neverweaken says:

Wish Petracca didnt play. Then i would get Holmans 70. Glad I picked up Spargo though

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

Got Spargo too. Just wish I had put Spargo on the field and Petracca on the bench. It is not looking good for that fraud. Barring a miraculous 4th quarter, he will be replaced by McLean next week. Had a gutful.

        • Russty_ says:

I'm with ya there mate..sore finger or not, he shouldn't have played if he wasn't right, it's more about the way he's played, frees against, clangers, abusing the ump…general unco-ness.

    • Rocksta says:

I’m with ya. Those 2 have done my head in all season and my patience is finally exhausted. I only started Tracca because of all the BS preseason about him playing midfield and being fotter than ever.
I hate sideways trades but those 2 cost me points every week.
Now just need to decide on which one goes

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

Unless he pull something out of the hat in the last quarter, Petracca will be sent packing. Then I just have Billings to deal with.

  111. Marty says:

Billings has no confidence at the moment. I would be dropping him to the magoos until he shows more aggression on the ball.

  112. Steeeve says:

Think I'd prefer a donut than a piddly score (and lost cash) from Petracca. He might become Ronke next week. Anyone think Robke will get a few more games?

  113. BlueBaggerJosh says:

So happy Hibberd finally repaying the faith, Billings though, I have no words.

  114. DavidSA says:

    1st 57pts
    2nd 20 pts
    3rd 26 pts

Gawn on 103 with 4th to go looks like it's not much more than Titch

  115. Defying_Madness says:

Appleby and Spargo from the rookies next week. Might have to wait a week on Crouch because it doesn't look like there is much after this week

  116. Ja191 says:

hmm could hibberd be an upgrade option for someone like a finlayson? looks to be hitting some form

  117. Justin says:

What to do with Savage… Real disappointment even when Saints are always getting smashed

  118. HarryH says:

Ok Billings is officially the worst player in the AFL right now

    • BrownlowBoy says:

      Going to Spargo next week.

      • Russty_ says:

Spargo's a little ripper, will make heaps of cash.

        • TOPHAWK1 says:

Did you get him this week Russty? I went early. Got to keep the cash making machine keep turning over. Might look at Appleby next week down back. Especially if Mirra and Murphy fail to make the cut again.

          • Russty_ says:

Nah mate, thought I'd do the safe thing and wait, definitely coming in next week.
Only prob now is I have Christensen and Petracca I want gone…who ever scores highest this week, stays haha

            • TOPHAWK1 says:

Looks like Christensen dodges another bullet!! He wasnt so lucky in my team. Got punted for mr angry. Christensen has been OK without being spectacular. Petracca is getting the fark out of my side this week. I am sick of looking at THAT greasy head of his. LOL

            • belly button fluff says:

wasn't going to get Gray till after his bye. But the way tracca is going it is probably ok to miss one week of Gray and take a rookie score. Tracca so shlop (shlop= Jewish runny sh*t fyi) I will prolly still score 3 times more over the next couple of weeks..

    • belly button fluff says:

tracca is fighting him for that title.

  119. JohnDJ59 says:

After a average weekend, still going to win four of my leagues, three in doubt and three lost, well done Russty and hedski you were two of my three loses.

    • Russty_ says:

Hey John, our's isn't over yet mate, Pendles could still go big in the second half and you could overtake me.

    • hedski says:

Cheers John I need some mojo, looking at @2300 which sadly will be my best score so far this year…..

      • JohnDJ59 says:

Hey Russty and hedski, happy to help you guys out, my season is going from bad to worse, just about had it at the moment and one of my wins just turned into a one point lose due to Pendles getting injured, who I just brought in this week, sums up my season so far.

        • Russty_ says:

That's harsh mate, just bad luck there, thought he was gonna be ok after he came back on but then he went off again, might have to punt him if he's out for 2 weeks plus.

          • JohnDJ59 says:

I should have known better than to bring in one of the old men, AFL is no place for old men any more, need to stick with the younger guns.

  120. SC_Donkey says:

Hibbo repaying the faithful, keep it up you good thing!!

    • Neverweaken says:

Ha. Maybe get him and Zorko next week. Or him and JJK. If Zorko tons up again then get him

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Yes Doncs. Very pleased I kept him as well. At least he is one bloke which is coming good. Same cant be said for Petracca and Billings. Petracca is going for McLean. Sorry that you ended up going Mundy over Sicily this week. I just felt Sicily against the bombers after a week off was the way to go. His super low BE also tempted me. Long way to go mate. Sicily could have another brain snap next week.

      • SC_Donkey says:

Can't pick em all right mate, definitely had to keep Hibbo there was no point of wasting a trade on him and the damage he did was too great. Just had to hope he was gonna turn it around seeing it was only 5 rounds in the season.

Mundy over Sicily may only be this week, I'll just cope it in chin. Next round might be the way round at least i don't have to worry of Sicily loosing temper.

  121. Rocksta says:

I need 67 off Stef Martin in the second half to crack 2300.
I’ll take that given I had Petracca and Giles-Langdon on field. What do you reckon is par this week?

  122. Finnius says:

My league match is going down to the wire. Who wins – Howe + 35 points or Stephenson + Murray?

  123. Defying_Madness says:

Does the community think 2302 is above par? Also how have you guys gone this week?

  124. Holty01 says:

Damn. Pendles looked like going huge. Any news as to why he is on the bench?

  125. Tom says:

What to do with Petracca and Billings??

  126. Finnius says:

Pendles out! definitely an upgrade target in two weeks or so

  127. TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

Dont tell me zorko has actually remembered how to play footy?

  128. TOPHAWK1 says:

What did Zorko have for breakfast this morning? Gee wizz. Playing an absolute blinder after 5 previous spud efforts. Is he back on the radar community? He will be cheap as mullet in a tackle shop.

    • Holty01 says:

No tag on him. There will be 16 coaches ringing Buckley and giving him a blasting this week for allowing him to get back into form.

    • hedski says:

Maybe some of those Cheat Bix ya got there TH? Ha ha, got over the line against ya this week bit I think your still on the right side of the ledger in our battles mate. πŸ‘πŸΊ

  129. Crowboy94 says:

Watch everyone jump on Zorko this coming week.. he will get tagged again next week. Collingwood dont really tag.

  130. DavidSA says:

Murray played way better than the score he got

  131. Finnius says:

I hate stephenson. If he doesn't kick that sealer I win my league game by about 5 points. AHHFHFHGNFPUJ:ALM>[email protected]!!#14$%&!

  132. Rocksta says:

2285 this week. I reckon that’s about par.

  133. TOPHAWK1 says:

So, what did we end up with folks?

    I finished on 2241.

With Billings and Petracca spudding AGAIN.

Will take it after ditching Christo for Sicily and going early on Spargo this round. I cant wait to pi-ss Tracca out of my team tonight! Weed out the spuds one by one.

  134. BlueBaggerJosh says:

2179, Holman to Spargo and Crowden to Mutch are my plans this week

  135. BadgerHoney7 says:

    2245 with Billings, Christensen, Zerrett.

  136. Maverick_ says:

    hows that fare this round?

  137. Marty says:

2363 (capt Gawn – after changing vc from MaCrae to Titch) hoping to move closer to the top 1000. Fyfe, MaCrae, Titch, McLean, Sicily thank you, Billings my concern. Spargo looks a likely edition to my team and Crouch.

  138. Not happy Sam says:

Just traded out Zorko after three out of six rounds of 46 or less. He just scored 164.
Fuuuaaaaaarkk I'm so mad right now

  139. BadgerHoney7 says:

Billings only plays well when Saints are playing well – I was their at the game and I will be totally honest thought he played better than what his SuperCoach output displayed. Contested well and hunted (showed when he contested an easy mark of Gawns) and also had a bit of a role change, playing on the wing rarely seeing him in the fwd 50,

    • Marty says:

I watched the game as a saints supporter and I thought he pulled out on one specific marking contest and skirted around packs, not in and under. He picked up a few late possessions but to me he is not a man in great form.

    • Russty_ says:

He should play well again then in about 2023…after we sack our Coach and do a complete rebuild again.

      • BadgerHoney7 says:

I agree we're in strife, no heart and really no pride. We go at the ball 50% everytime its on the ground. And that goal kicking, has anyone actually seen Dixon down at the club? If Freeman doesn't play soon I'll take nothing away from the 2018 season, had 31 on the wknd.

        • Russty_ says:

It's a sad state of affairs Badger, as a long time supporter, I'm ashamed of what we're dishing up every week, and Richo just doesn't seem to be either able to make the hard decisions as to who needs to stay or go, or doesn't want to deal with the realities of how they're actually playing every week, a lot of the blame needs to go onto the recruiting staff.
Radical solutions are sometimes required for dire situations, a complete change in the philosophy of all things that have been in the past.
Who exactly is responsible for most of our players ending up as mediocre?…and how many players with big potential end up mediocre because they're trapped in that failure of a system?

        • Marty says:

Dixon lol hasn't that worked a treat? Maybe we should get Matthew Richardson or Levis Casboult to be our next kicking coach.

  140. Slow Mobiles says:

One for the Site Admin: Why don't all articles appear on the mobile site when they're first published to the desktop site? (EG, The Standing Room still doesn't show, at 7:30pm Sunday, on the mobile site).

  141. gator59 says:

2392 this week.. Spewin I took the VC off McCrae and put it on Danger thinking it was going to be really wet in Ballarat….Oh well thems the breaks

  142. Pod says:

Dont know why everyone is suprised by Zorkos score… Zorko this week can out and said this

  143. Bells says:

Pretty happy I brought in McRae and put the C on him at the last minute. Won me a couple of match ups I otherwise wouldn't have gotten close in.

  144. BrownlowBoy says:

    Supercoach open

  145. Russty_ says:

I actually made up 603 places this week with 2230 so par must've been about 2200, well done to all the blokes who went big this week, you must've moved up a bunch of spots.

  146. Sc_Wow says:

    29th overall
    Road to #1

  147. BadgerHoney7 says:

Do I go Christensen to Gray other than trading Fritsch and Henry?

    • Russty_ says:

Yeah reckon so Badger, Christensen is a piece of crap, was 70 at the end and got scaled down to 61….FK him!

      • BadgerHoney7 says:

Yep, B/E of 73 whereas Henry is -15 and Fritsch is 6, much more worth, especially when both scored more them him – unfortunately still have Billings – hopefully he can turn it around for SuperCoach and Sainters fans!!

  148. Justin says:

Is it worthwhile to trade in Macrae from Finlayson or to Mclean due to Macrae's 30 BE???
    Cheers community

  149. SC_Sixty6 says:

    2354 for the week
    762 overall.

    I miss SW Rooster.

  150. BrownlowBoy says:

Is the general consensus to double downgrade this week?

  151. Westy says:

2325 this week. Very happy with that.

  152. BoltonsBlues says:

Trac to Flogly and Coffield to Spargo this week, time to start painting my fence to keepers.
No more trades till the byes, hopefully Ryan, Lloyd and Fisher can increase their scoring output from now on.
Doedee, Finlayson and Murray all have achieveable BEs, they should be good until the byes
TKelly looking very good to keep his spot in most teams until the end of the year, kid is a jet no doubt

  153. BadgerHoney7 says:

need a couple of mid/fwd rookies to come through this week, freeman and ahern pls.

  154. AuroraBorealis?! says:

Holman to Oliver and either Parker to M.Crouch (i hate sideways trading but i want Crouch in my side and if i were to keep parker i'd have 5 mids with a rd 14 bye) or Finlayson down to Appleby. Which option do you guys suggest? What trades is everyone making this week?

  155. Rocksta says:

Ended up with 2383 in the end. As I thought, that score was around par, as I only improved 15 places in the rankings to 201 overall. Tracca and having Giles-Langdon on field killed me this week.Need a big one next week to try and sneak into the top 150.
Good luck to all next week.

    • BadgerHoney7 says:

i tell ya what i could deal with some 2383 scores here and there

    • Rocksta says:

Sorry guys, mean’t to say 2283. That was around par as only improved 15 places in overall rankings. 2383 would have me well and truly within the top 100.

      • Russty_ says:

That's actually well above par Rocksta, I scored 2230 and improved 600 odd spots, it all depends on where you are currently as to what par is or not…it's not a definite, it's dependant on where you stand, the higher your'e ranked, the harder it is to move up.

        • Rocksta says:

Cheers Russty. On a positive note, there’s bugger all between 201 and the top 100. I have Tracca and Billings though which is a large problem. I sat Billings on the bench to get Henry’s score.
Wanted to bring in Crouch next week but the mid rookies are doing okay ( I have Higgins and Spargo). May upgrade Finlayson to Yeo instead.

  156. Willymack1234 says:

Either go holman to Mutch and brayshaw to crouch or Holman to Mutch and Finlayson to Sicily, thoughts?

  157. Defying_Madness says:

Anyone know the breakevens of Danger and Crouch? Cheers

  158. Tyruddanaut says:

    Few questions…

Is JPK the real deal? Or is it better to get Dusty in a few weeks to finish my mids?

Same thing with Howe? Is he worth it?

Are there any value options for Forwards this round? Or future rounds?

    • Defying_Madness says:

Last year I had the choice of a bottomed out Hanners vs a 500k Dusty. Take a guess which one I chose and how it turned out. Lock in Dusty he will turn it around

    • TRIGGA_HAPPY says:

I really like wood had him in my presrason team.

He is alot like curnow and grabbed his chance with both hands on the weekend

Has a great set of hands.

Will give him.another week could be a sneaky f6.

    • redherringfc says:

I got talked out of jpk last week and ended up getting oliver.

While disappointed I missed his 152, I don’t see him being a top 8 mid over the rest of the year.

I’ve gone Crouch this week. Last 2 mid spots are for Dusty when his price bottoms out and Mitchell after his bye.

I haven’t looked into Howe, but I’ll consider him when upgrading my backs.

As for your 3rd question, Buddy should become good value in a few weeks, especially if he has a quiet return game.

    • redherringfc says:

jjk is 407k and projected to slide to around 360k in the coming weeks.

He averaged in the 90’s last year and is capable of huge scores. If you want value then he might be the man.

    • TheGreatBozza says:

I brought in Howe last week for Murray. While it was only a +20 odd points I'm still happy with the trade. I think he can definitely be a top 6 defender

    • r_calve says:

for a forward go for sicily

  159. Davo says:

Webster might be a popular trade in this week.

  160. Finnius says:

Crouch v JPK… what is everyone going this week?

  161. Doc says:

INPieman (or any other pie supporters) what's Appleby's job security like? Is he likely to hold his spot or should I look elsewhere for a downgrade?

  162. Crowboy94 says:

What do people think of Mitch Robinson? And should we be closer to finishing MIDS or FWD first?

    • Marty says:

Mids tend to score more so I always concentrate on them first. Depends where your needs lie though.

      • Crowboy94 says:

Laird, Simpson, McGovern, Doedee, Murray, Naughton( Murphy, Duman)

Danger, Titch, Cripps, Fyfe, Merrett, MaCrae, Kelly, Finlayson (Holman, Brayshaw, Barry)

Heeney, McLean, Sicily, Billings, Fritsch, Henry ( Guelfi, Higgins)

        22 trades, 156k

        • BoltonsBlues says:

          Brayshaw down to Spargo
Doedee/Murray/Naughton/Fristch up to a premo if I was you

          • Crowboy94 says:

Finlayson has a huge break even though?

            • BoltonsBlues says:

              80 which he can achieve.
They got pumped by a Cats team who needed to smash them to show they aren’t push overs like last week.
He was swung forward where there were no goal kickers and the ball wasn’t going there, he won’t be a the main forward this week and could get his 80 odd be

        • redherringfc says:

I’d look to bring in one more premo mid first, keeping Kelly on field. Then your mids are set, until one of your final upgrades.

        • Marty says:

I would go Holman to Spargo, Finlayson to Crouch leaving you 216k for next week's trades.

    • Sc_Wow says:

I’ve got 7 deep in mids, and with Kelly playing well you have to leave it at that.
You should look to get a mid in but then really start to upgrade other lines quickly. Rookies have been scoring well to date but they will get tired.
After this week of trading I’ll have 4 premo defenders (dodee and Naughton fielded) 7 premo mids (Kelly fielded) and 4 premo fwds. Rookie fwds have held their own this year. Everyone was pretty worried at the start of the season

  163. Fearthebeard says:

    Best rookies this week?

Got spargo locked. Not sure who else?

    Appleby? Ronke? Munch?

  164. Crowboy94 says:

Laird, Simpson, McGovern, Doedee, Murray, Naughton( Murphy, Duman)

Danger, Titch, Cripps, Fyfe, Merrett, MaCrae, Kelly, Finlayson (Holman, Brayshaw, Barry)

Heeney, McLean, Sicily, Billings, Fritsch, Henry ( Guelfi, Higgins)

    22 trades, 156k

Some help is needed guys. Not sure where to upgrade first….

Probably need to cull finlayson and Holman

    • SC_Sixty6 says:

      Finlayson needs to go.

    • Defying_Madness says:

Murray down to Ronke and Finlayson down to Spargo. Not looking like there will be many rookies in the future (could be proven wrong when the team sheets come out) so take advantage of the ones present while you can. Next week you can go bang and bring in whichever 2 premiums you like.

      • Crowboy94 says:

Ill keep Murray for one more week. Downgrade Holman and Finlayson to Spargo and Ronke. Leaves me with 550k to go bang bang next week

        • Defying_Madness says:

yeah that works as well, not sure what Murray's BE is as I traded him out last week. I will be making the same trades as you this week I think

          • Crowboy94 says:

He has a BE of 63 which he should get tbh. Holman on the other hand may not get his which is also 63

            • Whatyasmokin says:

I reckon Murray is done, hes made you 200k, and onky has one good score vs Carlton. Holmans 32 will be out of his calculations soon and if he gets another 70+ he will make more cash.

    • zerowins says:

As painful as it is i would trade billings instead of finlayson. Billings has a breakeven of 122

  165. Daz says:

In an interesting predicament, started with no danger, titch or dusty. All bout the sell high buy low, so last 2 weeks brought in zerrett n Selwood , based on my strategy I go JPK this week. Already got Fyfe, Cripps, conigs. I feel titch is must have but are danger and dusty must haves?both look underdone or perhaps a victim of 'forward time' there drop off I attribute to going from 60,000 rank to 7,000 in 3 weeks.

    • Dazzler says:

I think you are kidding yourself.

    • Ahmad rubas says:

I think dusty titch are defintely must have every week they do well that's 60% of the competition that is getting points that you aren't getting. Trust me I know how that feels didn't start with dusty or titch and only brought titch this week and still waiting for dusty to drop in price after north match. I think you can get away without danger for now but if he starts getting more midfield time he will he must have to. Zerret jelwood jpk may offer great value but your playing for points so value sometimes has to be sacrificed

  166. BlueBaggerJosh says:

    Double downgrade (Holman-Spargo, Crowden-Mutch)
Paint the fence (Holman-Spargo, Finlayson to Sicily)

  167. yaboyazza says:

    2113, sadly.

Traded bont to dusty two weeks ago and he hasn't cracked the tonne since, was tossing up between him and macrae, safe to say I made the wrong decision.
Didn't sell Billings and he served up a 58.
Held Petracca through injury just for him to score 40.
Lost to my arch rival by 45.

Safe to say, not my greatest week.

  168. Ahmad rubas says:

So finlayson has a huge breakeven. What are people doing with him this week trading or
Holding? I like the idea of keeping him a little longer due to his DPP but also don't want to leak cash so may have to cull him this week

    • Holty01 says:

Trading. Couple of ok rookies on the bubble and some undervalued premiums. Great time to trade.

    • Russty_ says:

I think he's done Ahmad….was good while he lasted but has turned into a 60 every week guy. AKA….cash him in while he's still worth a pinch of shit.

      • Ahmad rubas says:

Yeah his scoring is down compared to what it was so instead of holding till the byes probably best to cut him off at his highest price

        • Beezneez says:

Looks like i will have to trade him out because of his price in order to get M Crouch or Oliver in 2 trades. I would have preferred someone else because I keep looking at his two tons and believe he is a capable player. Maybe he is going off the boil but his score would have been better on the weekend if his goal kicking had been better. Wouldn't surprise me if he tons up again but I'm happy having Murray, Naughton and Doedee atm. Hopefully, Appleby is named.. .

  169. Josh says:

Not entirely sure what to do this week for the first time this season as far as trades go. Considering Holman down to K.Mutch and bringing in Danger next week for Kelly?

Here's my team with 211K in the bank

Laird, Yeo, Simpson, Sicily, Doedee, Finlayson (Richards, Murphy)

Fyfe, Cripps, Mitchell, Martin, Oliver, Merrett, Kelly, L.Fogarty (Holman, Garlett, Barry)

    Gawn, Naitanui

Gray, Heeney, McLean, Smith, Frisch, Guelfi (Giles-Langdon, Spargo)

  170. Crowboy94 says:

Follow with others by getting in Gray or go with a POD like Robinson?

  171. seen_burns says:

Thoughts on Jack Darling, has been scoring well but is a key fwd.

  172. DavidSA says:

Just to help the community see the rooks in compact form instead of constantly searching

    Finlayson BE 86 (75 scores 5/7 100 scores 2)
    Fogarty BE 68 (75 scores 3/7 100 scores 0)
    Doedee BE 64 (75 scores 5/7 100 scores 2)
    Holman BE 63 (75 scores 4/7 100 scores 0)
    Murray BE 63 (75 scores 4/7 100 scores 0)
    Banfield BE 61 (75 scores 0/7)

    Not ready!

    Kelly BE 18 (75 scores 6/7 100 scores 4) gun
Know who else is not ready…. MY MUM!

  173. BlueBaggerJosh says:

    Billings or Finlayson to Sicily?

  174. Gav says:

Should I get Danger, Dusty, Macrae or Crouch in this week. Macrae has the low break even, Crouch is good value atm, or bite the bullet and get Danger or Dusty even though they have the higher break even.

    • redherringfc says:

All 4 are going to be up at the pointy end come seasons end, so I’d say go with Crouch now as he is the cheapest of the 4 and the cheapest he’s going to be.

Over the next couple of weeks look to bring in Danger and Dusty when you can afford them and idealy when they have bottomed out in price.

Macrae is getting too expensive and will probably come back under 600k at some point.

But my team is a pile of crap, so maybe my advice isn’t worth taking.

    • Brady says:

Crouch projected to go up only 7k this week so dont stress you can get him next week if you have others to fix.

  175. allen says:

    hmmm.. double downgrade
finlayson and banfield to spargo and ronke leaving 545K in the warchest to go bang bang next week

finlayson and banfield to titch and spurge leaving 81K..

not looking like a heap of rookies coming through soon so unsure..

  176. KSinny says:

Thoughts on Finlayson to Yeo and Billings to Ronke? Leaves me with $338k in the bank.

  177. Morry says:

Banfield to Spargo and Holman to Kennedy or McLean? Not sure which?

  178. Andy says:

Sicily, Yeo or Hurley this week?

  179. SC_Sixty6 says:

If anyone held Kelly for some strange reason after my info was given out he should play this week!

  180. Brady says:

Time to rack billings off I think.
Who to upgrade him too though?
    Gray, Scicily or Mclean?

  181. Will says:

    Are we holding Petracca?

  182. zerowins says:

Whos a better target. Oliver or crouch

    • DavidSA says:

Oliver more pts but how many 3,4,5,6 more a week?
Crouch good value also and hits the 115-130 range every 2nd week when he gets going

      • The Ranger says:

I think you'd want both eventually but Melb have a nice run of games coming up.

      • Beezneez says:

I want both but Crouch represents better value and, for me, means using one less trade to get him in. Oliver may now have to be an injury trade in. My last post was deleted – should have used the word peeved (about not getting in Oliver last year) instead of the other word starting with p.

  183. DavidSA says:

Liard, Sicily, Simpson, Hurn, Shaw, Murray

Mitchell, Cripps, Martin, Jelwood, Oliver, Cogs, Kelly, Spargo

    Gawn, Palm Tree

Gray, McLean, Heeney, Franklin, Mundy, Fritsch

    307k left
Next week The Rat To mid premo swinging Higgins into fwd line.

  184. Steeeve says:

I'm holding Finlayson one more week then will turn him into Simmo. Would have done it this week but my two trades will be used to bring in Spargo and Crouch. Hoping Finlayson can at least pump out a 70 — won't lose much cash that way.

Spargo aside I don't see a lot of permanent rookies about Might be wise to upgrade to a better performing dearer option I will be going Murray and Doodee to either SIMMO or HOWE and COLE who was an excellent junior and good bench option later whereas a cheaper rookie wont be there NDD

  186. Fearthebeard says:

Who is the best defender besides laird guys?

Tossing up Simpson yeo even flogily?

  187. Noah says:

Should i option 1: trade banfield for spargo and finlayson to sicily?
Option 2 banfield to spargo and billings to sicily or other?
any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Jack Billings.. You make me sick!!

  189. Doc says:

Billings to Spargo and Finlayson to Yeo leaving $240k

Finlayson to Ronke/Spargo via Sicily DPP and Holman to Spargo/Mutch leaving $538k in the bank to bring in Crouch/Dusty and Yeo/Simmo next week

    • JohnDJ59 says:

I think we need to get the rookies as they present themselves, so the second option.Having said that I wouldn't blame you if you traded out Billings.

  190. nick says:

If you had a chance to pick up any midfielder this week, who would it be?
Currently have Danger, Dusty, Fyfe, Mitch, Cogs, Merrett, Kelly and Brayshaw

  191. BeenHereBefore says:

    Billings -> Spargo
    Finlayson -> Mclean

  192. Noah says:

    Should I

option 1: trade banfield for spargo and billings for sicily

option 2 banfield to spargo and finlayson to sicily/howe

option 3 billings to spargo and finlayson to sicly/other

    • Tyruddanaut says:

Finlayson has to go. Howe, Hurn and Sicily all look quality.
If you do option 2 with Howe, we would have the same trades but I’ve already got Sicily so probably go for Sicily.

  193. Tyruddanaut says:

    1 match suspension for carelessness

    • DavidSA says:

Copping the donut I'm out of the running anyway after last 2 rounds

      • Tyruddanaut says:

IM considering copping it, too. I can still do a double upgrade next week if I get a premium this week and I don’t like spare cash

      • SC_Sixty6 says:

I think everyone should be getting on Twitter and abuse Michael Christian for being an absolute flog and no common sense bringing our game into disrepute.

        His Twitter is @Chrissto_21

        • Mr Pink says:

Michael Christian is starting to lose credibility… suspends Nic-Nat for a rough push in the back… happily lets Steele Sidebottom go for a sling tackle on Fisher where he has arms pinned and hits his head on the turf… no concussion he says… ever hear of a delayed concussion muppet…?

    • Marty says:

And Hogan didn't get fined for acting. Haha! I hear Neighbours has called him.

  194. SC_Sixty6 says:

Eagle's WILL challenge NIC NAT ban. He can't get a week for that. A free kick, which is what was awarded is all that was needed. He wasn't concussed so the AFL need to grow a pair and stop being pu55ies!

Get in the gym Amon you weak prick!

  195. DavidSA says:

This new MRP is more twisted than ever
So Hogan is cleared for staging because the replay vision shows head high force off the ball but Carlisle not even a fine. Hawkins facing 1 week for touching an umpires hand lmfao. Then there was Chad Cornes getting banned for 1 match πŸ˜‚

  196. pod says:

WTF is the difference between Nic Nats rnd1 Tackle… absolute discrase Dan Christian

  197. r_calve says:

im double downgrading holman and billings, who should i bring in out of worpel, spargo and mutch

  198. Hayden says:

This week I'm upgrading Finlayson – Simpson and Banfield – Spargo. Was planning to go Holman – M Crouch but M Crouch BE is still 96, and likely to drop again, whilst Finlayson will struggle to hit 86. Spargo will make bank.

    • DavidSA says:

      Matt Crouch last 3 against Port 126, 88, 139

That 88 he scored was from 32 disposals 21 kicks 11 handballs 5 marks 5 tackles but his efficiency was bit down and 3 FA

  199. BNich says:

    Hi JR Supercoach Community,
Loving reading all the banter, and picking up tips. 1st year I have taken on SC, in a league with some mates big time bragging rights on the table. So far so good and am undefeated – thinking it could be luck, hence turning to the people that know for some advice.

Team is below so far, would love some suggestions for next moves
21 Trades $10K (spent the warchest on McLean/Sicily upgrade last week)

    Laird / Hurley / Sicily / Savage / Doedee / Murray (Naughton / Murphy)

    Danger / Titch / Dusty / Fyfe / Coniglio / J Lyons / T Kelly / Finlayson (Holman, Brayshaw, Barry)

    Gawn / Nankervis (Olango)

    Heeney / McLean / D Smith / Petracca / Fritsch / J Henry (Guelfi / Z Langdon)

Happy to be agressive on trades for the next 2-3 weeks.
Thinking the ones to cull at the moment would be J Lyons / Petracca / Finlayson / Murry / Doedee (in terms of from the field)

I like the look of M Crouch, Macrae, Howe, Yeo, Robbie Gray to bring in at some point.

Thinking M Crouch and Spargo this week.

    Any thoughts opinions appreciated.

    • DavidSA says:

Bang on the money with your 2 trade in selections.
Finlayson is ripe Holeman, Doedee and Murray are also on the curve.
I would advise to keep 1 of Murray or Doedee for the long stretch if you can when you have 6 premo defenders. Will be handy bench cover.

Question in advance is there something wrong with Lyons? I would make him last corrective after you have full 22 field premiums if you have to

      • BNich says:

Thanks for the comments. I also agree with the Lyons comment, would likely be last on the block at the moment even though couple of off weeks, still has ability to get a decent score.
        I fall short by $2.6K with the Finlayson/Holeman to M Crouch/Spargo option.
Don't think with the DPP I have, that there is another option to get that combo in this week. Going to have to give this some more thought

    • SCblowie says:

R Gray groins good again. Playing high midfield minutes. Nothing wrong with M Crouch either both guns.

      • Russty_ says:
