PODCAST: SICILY YOU TWAT

We are back, but it is Tuesday.

Up is down, left is right, Brett Deledio is pumping out 150s. We don’t know what’s going on normally, but this is a whole new level of confusion.

What a weird round this is – ANZAC Day on a Wednesday throws everything out of kilter. Recorded Monday, edited Tuesday and published now just as everything we say goes out of date.

We cover Fritsch (advice is to hold), Sicily (who after getting one week Patch would advise to hold), Zorko, rookies, dropping premiums and the tantalising prospect of a stupid, sexy Brett Deledio.

Stay tuned for more things during the week, but for now, strap yourself in and have a good old listen to your pals Lekdog and Patchy as they argue into the night. Come join us!

  1. Patch says:

To repeat: our advice is to HOLD Fritsch. HOLD. Trading him to Higgins or Guelfi in a panic is not a good idea.

  2. Orka says:

What a d**khead I am for getting Sicily. Just like his coach who has issues and can’t handle him.

    • Russty_ says:

Could be worth keeping him if a bunch of knee jerkers trade him out this week.

    • theRealPod says:

Quite a few coaches worried and you know this flog will keep doing it. Bit harsh on Clarko.

    • Cyriledagain says:

Yep, Clarko has serious issues. The best coach in the comp by a space and has been for the last 8/9 years.
I can only agree with your sentiments about Sicily – he's a dick but so was Dermie, Plugger, Rhys Jones, Greg Williams etc – these blokes just add intrigue to our great game.

  3. hedski says:

Jelwood cleared will be handy against swans.
Looks like a late night in the shed, will have to listen to the pod after the footy. πŸ‘

  4. Phil says:

Might be worth noting that I think there is a big chance Guelfi gets left out of the side for the next game. With the 4-day turn around you would think some of the younger/inexperienced types won't play both games.

  5. Moocha says:

What a disappointment Petracca is. He promises so much. A bit like the Melbourne side. Tigers on their way to successive premierships.

  6. Ando says:

So glad I got rid of Zorko for Oliver.

  7. SC_Sixty6 says:

Oliver was robbed tonight. On the other hand Nank was gifted a 71 odd that he did not deserve. Should of finished on 50 maximum!

  8. DANGER1VDUSTY2 says:

Who still has M.Hibberd? Very frustrating still having Hibberd/Petracca/Sicily/Bonner – something needa be done.

    • Lekdog says:

You mean HeathShaw2.0😯? I do. Bloody bastard stinking up my team. Not sure what to do with him, getting outscored by all defensive rookies

      • Sc_Wow says:

Suck it up and get rid of him, watched him closely last night and is role is not sc friendly. No kick outs, Melbourne not looking for him out of defence, Vince used a lot more. He’s done, 80 avg at best

  9. DacZawson says:

Trades this week gonna be difficult.
Mirra has looked okay but I'm not as set on him as most people are.
Higgins scored really well but job security looks poor at best.
Be good to see how Guelfi goes against the Pies.
The Freo rookie in defence scored well, but watching the game, he didn't really stand out so not sure where I stand on him in being a target in a couple of weeks time.
And most frustratingly with all these rookie options, I've still got bloody Hibberd and Goldy stinking things up.

Do people have any thoughts on what my priorities should be???

  10. SC_Donkey says:

Hibbo has officially became Shaw 2.0 this was my fear after Rd 2. Many had convinced me to keep him, but I only blame myself for not believing in myself. My decision now is to actually keep him all year for bench cover at D7, as I think it will be a waste to use a trade on him. Taylor and Bonner will gone for me this week for a Rookie and 1 at fwd or Def premo.

    • Ahmad rubas says:

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing most likely just going to keep him and save the trade and hope he turns it around. maybe come the bye rounds I might sideways him to a simmo yeo or Sicily if they are cheap but most likely just going to save the trades

    • Lekdog says:

      Thinking very similarly

      • SC_Donkey says:

It's way too late to trade him out now, rd 3 and 4 was an ideal to boot him. He's lost us a fair bit of cash and will lose us a trade. If he lifts during and after the byes will be a bonus for us who keeps him. If you go down this path must be prepared to bench Hibbo now and then if you have a loophole player like O'Connor that can swing with Finlayson.

        • SC_Sixty6 says:

Rage trade him. You'll feel so good!

        • Sc_Wow says:

How’s a guy that can’t play footy and is clearly suffering from a role change going to lift and come good

          • SC_Donkey says:

Did I say his going to lift?

            I said "if"

And if he does "will be a bonus"

He's just gonna be a D7 anyway for cover and not gonna waste my time or trade on him. I can get full premo without trading him out.

            • Sc_Wow says:

Tbh I’d rather a dodee finylayson Murray as a d7 over Hibberd, those guys have far better roles. Hibb is only 40-50 off a set premo, I’m going to get him out and never look back.

I’m just informing you that your “if” is never going to happen

              • SC_Donkey says:

                Yes! Mr know it all.

                Ok
                Ok
                Ok.

Let's just leave it as that.
You have your team to worry about as I have mine.

                Cheers

                No further comment pls
                Pretty pls!

                • Sc_Wow says:

No need to get rude because I don’t agree with you. So defensive

I was hoping hib would come good but it’s not going to happen.

                  • SC_Donkey says:

Give a rest man. If you don't agree then don't, don't need to convince me. I'll make my own decision and I own it if it's a mistake.

As i stated in my OP i blame myself for not trading him out after rd 2. You and Sc_sixty6 are getting too annoying for me.
We don't have to follow your opinion or advice and don't need to shove down our throats.

And which part don't you understand no more comments.

                    • SC_Sixty6 says:

Donkey take a chill pill you're way too sensitive. Seriously. Don't like what we say don't reply. Simple. Your whining antics are annoying so please stop filling this forum with negativity. Cheers.

Goodluck with hib. The over priced over rated player.

                    • SC_Donkey says:

                      Hahaha

                    • Sc_Wow says:

I’m not shoving it down your throat re read. I’m entitled to my opinion, I’m in the same situation and I’m doing something different. I’m sure other people would appreciate seeing a different approach to dealing with Hib. And you get defensive when I disagree. Wasn’t trying to change your mind, I couldn’t care less about your team. You need to check your attitude I’m free to comment, don’t need your permission

  11. Sean says:

I am a bit concerned about my forward line. Copped a zero with Fritsch and Fogarty both out. Now Buddy isn't playing next week. $137,000 left in the bank, Thoughts?

    L. Franklin, T. Greene, T. McLean, D. Smith, A. Christensen, B. Fritsch
    D. Fogarty, L. Keeffe

    • Phil says:

Fogarty out for Guelfi or Higgins (depends how Guelfi goes today and if named next game)
I wouldn't be scared off by picking Higgins. You can justify his lack of job security when avoiding a donut I think

    • David C says:

Langdon probably back next week is another option.

  12. neil demons delight says:

First of all congrats to the TIGERS no wonder they are flag favourites.I wonder just how good they would be with GAWN. My team ? well what an insipid performance goes all the way back to the camp they chickened out of.They laughed at GOODY and disrespect him. Time for a CLARKSON or HARDWICK . cheers

    • The Ranger says:

They were very good in tight around the ball Neil but it all broke down as soon as they got the ball outside and that fwd line looks ordinary except for Petracca and Hogan.
Big challenge for the coach to see of he can sort it out.

    • Grahame Lebroy says:

Also a long time Dees fan Neil. There seems to be a soft culture at the club that's hard to change, too many players seem happy to just be an afl player rather than part of a hard respected football team. The team needs another elite mid. They have no composure moving the footy up the ground and panic. Lacking confidence right now and that makes any team poor. Coaching group has been worked out and needs to respond fast.
It's not all doom and gloom though, the list is in pretty good shape and this season can turn around but won't be easy. Hopefully they lift soon

      • Multi_ says:

Imagine if they kept pick 2 and now had Josh Kelly, Viney, McDonald to come back in would look a lot different.
I reckon they are close though need to play Petracca in the backline for a bit maybe?

        • neil demonsdelight says:

yes but they got Tyson and salem back nearly as good Agree with Grahame I have supported the club for 68 years and lately they do panic and are a smart arse type of side leaving it to their mate GET THE ANZAC SPIRIT boys help and support your mates

      • Whatyasmokin says:

Agree they don't have a superstar in the midfield, although credit to the hardworkers they do have. I didn't like the game plan of keep it along the boundary but maybe that's because they don't have the speed and fitness of Richmond to run it through the middle with support of numbers.

    • Beezneez says:

Don't forget they got towelled by the Crows a couple of weeks ago. Pity the GF is played on their home ground.

  13. Bells says:

My season has fallen apart quicker than a $2 shop toy. Should I compound it by NOT bringing in Higgins this week?

    • dontblushbaby says:

Don't be surprised if he doesn't get picked next week with likes of Caddy,Valstuin and Graham available

      • Bells says:

Tough one isn't it. On the telly they were saying he's had 8 kicks in his career for 5 goals (or something like that). Walk up starter in just about every team but the Tigers…Still I like that mid/fwd role and fairly cheap price. He's coming in.

    • theRealPod says:

You'd think Higgins will be a regular in the side after last night. Loved the interview post game he was in, a real knock about. The tiger fans already love him.

  14. Marty says:

Looking at the vision from the Sicily incident despite it being a dumba$$ dog act not sure it was more than a love tap. Not excusing it and yes it needs to be stamped out of the game but…..oh crap it's Sicily give him 5 weeks.

  15. TOPHAWK1 says:

I reckon Hardwick will find a permanent spot for Higgins. He may miss next game due to the 4 day break, but after that he should play regular games. He was excellent last night. If you look at the performances of Butler, Townsend, and Brandon Ellis of late, if I was any of those 3 blokes, Id be worried, very worried. One will get the chop IMO.

  16. Steeeve says:

I have Petracca and Curnow up forward. They're not setting the world alight but it means I only have to field one rookie. That has been a blessing so far and I'm very happy I made the structural adjustment. My backline is loaded with rookies who are doing just as well as most premos, the midfield has Holman and Kelly, and English is a cash cow at R3. The forward line rookies are an absolute mess. Best to hold onto these underperforming "keepers" and hope they come good — worst case scenario, Buddy, JJK and others will be cheap soon (and probably again before the year is out) so we can always upgrade using only a single trade.

  17. StevoRivo says:

Tigers depth and pressure very impressive. Dees play 2 quarters again and disappear. Lambert a jet, nice POD, plays better with Prestia in the team. Hibberd and Sicily on very thin ice. Stoked when I have 3 x 151 scores and Fyfe Captain. Higgins on my radar but JS a worry still.

    • theRealPod says:

Last season the Tigers won the flag on the back of the pressure they bring. They are back to that level after last night and I don't think any team will challenge if they keep it going. The Dees tried there best first half then were ripped apart. Could be back to back for the yellow and black.

  18. TOPHAWK1 says:

I have similar issues to you Steeeve. The backline and midfield are fine, but the forward line looks more like swiss cheese. I have Petracca, Billings, Christensen and a swag of dodgy rooks up there. Like you, I will hang on to the premos like Tracca and Billings and hope they come good. Will look to upgrade Christensen to Toby McLean next week and hope that Higgins and Guelfi become regulars at their clubs. I am hoping that will settle my forward line moving forward. Cheers mate.

  19. TOPHAWK1 says:

Does anybody know what Clayton Oliver's new BE will be going into round 6 after his 104 last night? I think that 88 he scored a few weeks ago will drop out of his rolling average.

I am hoping I can hold off 1 extra week before snapping him up. I want to upgrade Allen Christensen to Toby McLean first next week.

    • Lekdog says:

I think it’ll be around 118 but my maths could be off

      • TOPHAWK1 says:

Thanks Lek. If it is 118, then that buys me one week of extra time. Very handy!

        • Derek says:

          Did you trade out Fritsch?

          • TOPHAWK1 says:

Fritsch is traded out for Guelfi. Hope he goes well today and is not a late out…… Higgins was very good last night. Think he will get more games after that effort. If Higgins is selected again, Oliver might have to wait one week. Might have to do a double downgrade first. If both named, Bonner to Mirra and then Brayshaw to Higgins. With Oliver's BE still at 118, I can luckily grab Oliver the week after. Christensen to Oliver via DPP.

            Cheers Derek

      • Sam_01 says:

        108 according to sc gold

  20. Steeeve says:

How low could Dusty's price drop? I am keen to grab Matt Crouch soon but if Dusty is affordable he will have to take priority!

  21. Tommo says:

My team is looking a bit shaky but with a few good trades my scores could be boosted quickly
Am thinking Guelfi and Mirra this week but Higgins looked very good last night. I also saw a comment saying Guelfi is at risk of losing his spot with a short turnaround. So that means I can get Higgins this week and Guelfi next week.

Bont Lynch Petracca and O’Meara have also been underperforming

    Thoughts guys?

Def: Laird Hurley Simpson Doedee Finlayson Murray (Naughton O’Connor)
Mid: Danger Dusty Fyfe Bont O’Meara Kelly Holman Brayshaw (LDU Dow Clark)
    Ruc: Gawn NicNat (Cameron)
Fwd: Heeney Buddy Lynch Petracca Christensen Henry (Garlett Fritsch)

    • Tommo says:

Also have 27 trades and 181k left

    • Derek says:

I wouldn’t say Omera’s 142 last week is underperforming, but they do say a week is a long time in football and his 60 this week was not a keepers score.

You might have to get rid of at least one of you expensive rookies. Get Mirra who is very cheap, via O’Connar DPP and put some cash in the warchest.

You need another big point scorer in the mids. Who do you like?

      • Tommo says:

Definitely want T.Mirch but I want another player who will consistently get 110 but have a high ceiling.

I also need to choose between Guelfi and Higgins

  22. Rick Grimes says:

Might have to trade Lambert back in. Sigh

  23. harry says:

anyone know what the respective breakevens will be for
    Danger, Titch, Oliver

  24. Defying_Madness says:

Now everyone will have merret next week

  25. TOPHAWK1 says:

Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh Zachary Merrett. You good boy! I keep you and you come good. 48 SC at quarter time. Welcome!

  26. redherringfc says:

6 points for out of bounds.

    Nice.

  27. JohnDJ59 says:

Looks like Garlett will be going out for either Higgins or Guelfi, just have to decide which one.

    • JugHead says:

The selectors will help us decide. Although neither deserves to be dropped, It wouldnt surprise to see one or more rookies rested because of the short turnaround

    • Neverweaken says:

Hoping Higgins gets rested so i can pick him up next week. Or Guelfi Cos I want Mirra and one of these. Higgins with dpp looks tempting.

  28. GreendaleFC says:

Both Begley and Green injured. That's got to be good for Guelfi's job security.

    • TOPHAWK1 says:

Yep. He has definately backed up again from last week. I am very pleased with him. He should get regular games. He and Higgins could both be rested because of the 4 day break, but they should both be back.

  29. Crowboy94 says:

Anyone else think this game is horrible? Such a bad game to watch…. nothing like past Anzac Day games at all.

  30. TOPHAWK1 says:

Daniher drunk or something? Playing like an uncoordinated dunce. Gee wizz.

  31. JugHead says:

    Whats par this week? 2250 ~ 2300?

  32. Jeff says:

Scored 2210 this round which im ashamed to say was actually my best score so far this year. Oh well I can only go up. How did everyone else do?

  33. Marty says:

2273 (Gray) Waterman 44 Richards 44 didn't help hoping to go up a little from around 4k mark

  34. r_calve says:

im getting rid of zorko, should i target an uber premo or should i go for a fallen premo that looks to be turning it up right about now like pendles or seb ross

thoughts please cos zorko is just awful and no longer deserves a spot in my team

  35. Sc_Wow says:

    2009 this week

  36. BadgerHoney7 says:

Anyone watch Taylin Dumin on the weekend, feel like his job security is much better than Mirras, Burgoyne back this week, Sicily the next probably pushes him out to be honest so feeling like Dumin is a much safer option, plus he scored 85, anyone watched Tom Cole also, interested to see how he pans out.

  37. Neverweaken says:

Hoping Higgins gets rested with the short turn around. And Maybe Guelfi too. The 102k Mirra looks too good to pass up
Gonna roll the dice this week and go Buddy to Lids. Will make or break my season

  38. Connor says:

For f**k sake, have now scored 2002 two weeks in a row (lost 20/20 league matches) and have dropped back to 38,000th overall – exact replica of last year…
Started strong, made some bad on-field rookie calls, injuries to premiums preventing me trading out underperformers = spending my whole season climbing back up the rankings and finishing mid-range
May as well give up now, its gonna be another long season :/

  39. Jordan says:

Should I go zorko to danger this week?

  40. BlueBaggerJosh says:

    This week
    Bonner-Mirra
    Garlett-Deledio

next week ill hope holmans price rise eclipses merrett's and i can bring him in after downgrading Fritsch (hopefully higgins or Guelfi are rested)

    • Sam_01 says:

If Holman gets 70 odd he goes up 20k
Merret has break even of 64 projected for 70 and not to move in price but that’s just sc gold projections
Doubt he will go up more than holman

  41. Niail says:

Who defender to get in for Hibberd?

    Yeo, Simpson or Hurley?

    All fit my bye structure

  42. Steeeve says:

Anyone think Mirra has a hope of playing enough games to make us coin?

  43. Sam_01 says:

2351 this week community loving treloar as my pod 110 average so far hope he keeps it up!
Gartlett and fristch out for guelfie and Mirra will give me 300k in the bank for next week
Thing being with Sicily out this will leave me playing 5 rookies on field in the backline was running with 4 previously! Would love your thoughts community!

  44. Ken says:

Is Patrick Cripps a top 10 mid ?

    • Sam_01 says:

potentially when kruezer is fully fit that will help him
Danger dusty Mitchell Fyfe coniglio Oliver? kelly crouch McRae merret cripps?
I’d say danger to Oliver are locked into top 10 cripps could creep in there, better options around though price wise at the moment

      • Whatyasmokin says:

Not sure about Crouch considering his time out may have to work back into form plus the gibbs effect. Would have more faith in someone like Pendles, considering his reasonable SC history.

        • Russty_ says:

Pendles is looking like he could get back to somewhere near his best, Pies looking good too.

          • Whatyasmokin says:

Yep no doubt. His tackle count is great which means he's confident in his body, he had niggling injuries last year if I recall.

            • Sc_Wow says:

I think crouch is still right up there, Gibbs doesn’t effect him position wise, crouch’s role is to be in the packs and win the hard ball

              • Whatyasmokin says:

In theory for sure. In reality we have to wait and see. Sometimes gotta just go with who is performing and ignore previous performance or assumptions.

    • CalebCripps922 says:

Top 1 Mid In my opinion.

  45. Sam_01 says:

Another question community since my midfield is stacked
Danger, dusty, Fyfe, coniglio, treloar, cripps, Oliver Tim kelly at m8 can I afford to bring in a fallen premo such as Zach merret or any of the likes or do I just have to fork out for Tom mitchell has thrown out two stinkers which works in my favour, but the extra value isn’t exactly there!

    • Finnius says:

you need titch to round that out I reckon. I wouldn't be looking for him straight a way though as Kelly is a gun rookie you need onfield.

      • Sam_01 says:

may consider trading cripps and treloar late in the year if I have loads of trades and others are producing the goods
Will probably try go a bit early on the kelly trade if I have to doubt Mitchell will have another patch of double average scores might try get him in 2-3 weeks
Mitchel expected to drop 38k even if he scores 125 so 2-3 weeks he will be sub 600k will need about 200k to trade kelly up to him

        • Whatyasmokin says:

I reckon cripps will be alright but Treloar…..did u play sc last year? Big plums picking him!

          • Sam_01 says:

It’s paid off mate I’ve had him the last 3 years πŸ˜‚ was very disappointed last year though Collingwood side always gets the better of me

            • Sc_Wow says:

              How are your other lines

              • Sam_01 says:

Back: laird Sicily doeedee murray Finlayson bonner
Mid: danger, Fyfe, Oliver, treloar, cripps, cogs, dusty, tkelly
                Ruck: Gawn nicnat
Fwd: heeny mclean Walters smith gartlett fristch
                Sitting ranked 2000ish
How important is brining in the likes of guelfie and Mirra this week sc wow?
I have Murphy, Langdon, fristch, o”keefe, Barry all not playing gartlet is an flog also
Was gonna bring them both in this week but it will give me a 5 rookie defence tonfield if I do
Or should I just go one and also grab yeo?

  46. Russty_ says:

Sicily is a massive Twat, but I'll give him one more chance, if he does it again, he's goneski!

    • Whatyasmokin says:

Yep just got him in the other week got me one score now a week off. Surely can't do crap like that again this year………..

      • Russty_ says:

He could mate…but 3 strikes and yer out!…in my rules πŸ™‚
Clarko already admitted, he plays in a state of "white line fever", a heightened state of insanity and aggression. Our fault for picking him I guess haha

    • Finnius says:

the problem is that the guy is so good – guaranteed top 6 defender (on average obviously as he will only play 19 games a season)

  47. Jordan says:

Who to get rid of for merret? Brayshaw, banfield, Holman or bonner?

  48. BadgerHoney7 says:

Who has better job security, Guelfi or Higgins?

  49. James says:

    Garlett -> Guelfi
    Bonner -> Oliver via Coffield

    Thoughts?

  50. BrownlowBoy says:

    Toby Greene out this week.

  52. Bells says:

Should I get in Merrett? Will he end up a top 10 mid?

  53. BrownlowBoy says:

Worpel also making his debut this weekend. Another potential cash cow, along with the young Mcinerney from Brisbane.

Barlow and Langdon return this week.

    Petracca out with finger injury.

    Kelly and Lobb miss again.

do I swap Bonner for seedsman or any other trades

    • 2sweet says:

      Bonner –> mirra/guelfi/zgl/higgins
Bank the cash, unless you think seedsman will be a keeper

    • Whatyasmokin says:

As 2sweet says paint the fence, Seed is a risk but if you have faith in him go for it, could be the PID that sets you apart from the pack.

    • Tyruddanaut says:

You might be one short in the forward line this week. I’d say Bonner to a forward rookie (I prefer Guelfi for the JS) and hold the cash. Then, if you want and if Brayshaw get dropped (extended bench atm) then you can bring in a much cheaper Zerrett

    • Blake says:

      OUT
      Bonner ($320,300)
      IN
      Mirra ($102,400)

      Leaves me with 285k

  55. 2sweet says:

I have a problem with trading premiums, really dont like doing it unless there is an injury, but zorko has really stuffed my team up. Should i trade him to oliver, or potentially merrett whos a lot cheaper? Or still hold…. really torn!!! Any advice community???

  56. Teddy says:

Ive got buddy, sicily, greene and petracca!! This week is officially f*****!!!!! Will have to rely on garletts 20 points, cant wait!

  57. John says:

Trading Hibberd to Yeo this week. Thoughts? I’m also thinking of holding Zorko hoping he comes good.

  58. Tyruddanaut says:

    Absolute Dilemma!

I’m doing a sideways trade this week as well as a downgrade. My original plan was to bring in Guelfi or Mirra for Bonner, but realizing Garlett is out, I am hold Bonner for another week.

After deciding to bring in Yeo for Zorko, I have been left with no DPP in defense. So if Fritsch doesn’t play I’m screwed. The main thing to do is not pick Yeo. But I want him

    Thoughts?

  59. Jam says:

Is zach merret a keeper? He is cheap, but is it worth getting him or just going up to oliver? Trading tabs out and swinging heeney forward so can go anyone really.

    • Sam_01 says:

If you still have room in your mid get merret now will be a top mid I’d say and he is to good value to pass up right now will go back up to 600k worth getting him over other upgrades value wise

    • AlbertonOval says:

he's a certified gun and you won't get him any cheaper

  60. Dan says:

Need some help. Do I upgrade Bonner to Danger, Oliver or Zerret this week. Have 200k in the bank after upgrading to Danger but not sure if this is the best option as it doesn't allow for better upgrades in the future. Any advice is appreciated :))

    • Jam says:

Similar decision, im not going danger, he could fo down and i don't see him going back up to 750. Merret or oliver is the hard one, are they both keepers?

      • neil demonsdelight says:

Oliver is but Merrett spooks me Very fragile one more knock and it could be season over

        • Sam_01 says:

I’d look at getting danger in he is at a 100k discount one of thOes players you just have to fork out the cash for to get in, hasn’t gone under 100 yet. Would probably go merret though he is so cheap

  61. HammerTime says:

Who to bring in: Giles-Langdon, Higgins or other?
    and
    Yeo, Simpson or Hurley?
    Thinking ZGL and YEO!

  62. Rick says:

26 Trades – $166K. Best moves this week?
Def: Laird, Simpson, Shaw, Bonner, Doedee, Murray (Naughton, Murphy)
Mid: Danger, Titch, Dusty, Fyfe, Coniglio, Kelly, Finlayson, Holman (Banfield, Brayshaw, Barry)

Fwd: Heeney, Petracca, D Smith, Billings, Christensen, Henry (Fritsch, Garlett)
    Cheers

  63. simon says:

Should i trade out Toby Greene?
How long is he out for??

  64. Stupid Coach says:

Greetings community. I would like to thank you for you advice last week and helping me to put the C on big Maxy Gawn. Unfortunately it has been the only highlight for my team over the past two weeks where my pitiful excuse for a SC team has failed to crack 1900 despite bringing in titch and dusty. I have 25 trades and 273k in the bank. I was looking to trade out McGrath and Zorko but with Buddy and Petracca out and only rookies to cover them, I am not sure what I should be doing or if I should even bother if I am going to get the same score and be flogged in every league I play. For your amusement, here is my team

B: Laird, Savage, McGrath, Ryan, Doedee, Murray, Finlayson, Brighton.
M: Danger, Dusty, Titch, Zorko, Parker, Cogs, T Kelly, Holman, Garlett, Coffield, Barry
    Rucks: Gawn, Bank, Olongo
F: Buddy, Smith, Petracca, Henry, Crowden, Fritsch, Gowers, ZGL.

    Any advice much appreciated.

    • Stupid Coach says:

Sorry should be Naughton not Brighton (stupid auto word predictor).

    • Russty_ says:

Hi Coach, maybe ride Gowers and ZGL scores this week and look to upgrade your backline, or, you could go Garlett out for Higgins or Guelfi, maybe McGrath out for Hurley?…consider Finlayson onfield over McGrath.

  65. Rocksta says:

Do I trade in Zach Merret or Toby McClean? I just can’t decide because of Merrett’s great value.

  66. Rocksta says:

I changed my mind again. Have brought in Robbie Gray (at this stage). My Gut tells me it isn’t a great week to bring him in with the potential Jacobs tag but I’m sure he will be a top 3 forward this season.
I also can’t decide whether to trade out Banfield or Murphy (Adel) for Higgins. Banfield still has money to make but is never on my field. I reckon Murphy will play next week and has a BE of -50, but hasn’t appreciated much due to his injury break.
    Decisions Decisions

  67. James says:

    Option 1:

    Bonner -> Hurley
    Garlett -> Guelfie
    Leaves me with 50k

    Option 2:

    Bonner -> Oliver
    Garlett -> Guelfie
    Leaves me with 7k

    Option 3:
    Bonner -> Mirra
    Garlett -> Guelfie
Leaves 485k in the warchest to upgrade over the next 2 weeks

  68. Nobby Bobby says:

Bonner -> Mirra, Hibberd -> Danger. Trades done. Will hold Petracca and hopefully his week off will give him time to think about how he can live up to his SuperCoach hype when he’s back

What should i do with my team this week !!!!

    should i go for zmerrett?
trade fritsch, Holman, bonner or Petracca

  75. Neverweaken says:

Who else is wearing a donut in the forward line? I have Sicily, Buddy, Petraca, Garlett and Fritsch. Was gonna get Mirra but wont now. Bonner gone, Sicily back on def bench and getting in Guelfi and Lids. Really hoping higgins isnt named this week

  76. Chicken says:

Cripps this week and Sicily next week or Merrett this week and McLean next week

  77. MRmoMAN says:

With already using 8 trades, and 7 players out of full premo including billings who is not playing like one at the moment, should i be holding walters for the 4 weeks? going for league wins only, however have cash on the line in a competitive league

  78. Blakeyboi says:

Hey community, would love a word of advice on the team going into R7!

B – Laird, Savage, Hibberd, Doedee, Murray, MIrra (Naughton, Richards)
M – Fyfe, Mitchell, Dusty, Cripps, Coniglio, Parker, Kelly, Finlayson (Banfield, Holman, Barry)
    R – Gawn, Martin (Cameron)
F – Heeney, Walters, Smith, Sicily, Christensen, Fritsch (Guelfi, Henry)

    25 trades & $233k in the bank

Scored 2207 & ranked 2500 and hit my first bit of carnage this week with Walters going down. Some options??

    1) Walters to Gray and Holman down to Spargo
    2) Walters to McLean and Holman down to Spargo
    3) Hold Walters and go Holman up to Merrett and Banfield down to Spargo

Any thoughts or general feedback would be appreciated as always πŸ™‚
