  1. BCHawks says:

I am happy with my start of 336 from 3. I won't be using the captain loophole for Sandilands, will take the risk on Ablett.

  2. Mike says:

419 from 4. Nice to get improvement from Pav and Suckers. Sandi as VC didn’t produce as hoped so the C goes onto Little Gary or Pendles. Still to decide which.

Although I’m sure a lot of people turned Mitchell into Swallow, and in the process added to their war chest, it was great to see the under-rated one perform after holding onto him.

  3. Rooboy says:

I swapped Hodge to Swallow & kept Mitchell so that worked well for me. Interestingly, Langford spent most of his night tagging his opponent out of the game (& doing a great job of it). More tasks like this will likely keep his SC scores low. You have been warned!

  4. Lawfy5 says:

Happy with last nights numbers but still tossing up whether to trade out Ryder or Dixon. Thoughts?

    • Mike says:

Who’s longer term? GCS are saying 2 weeks for Dixon. Is Ryder out for longer?

      • jockreynolds says:

I reckon Ryder might just be the better longer term option by a bees D

      • Lawfy5 says:

They said only one week for Ryder but he couldn’t even walk mid week. Good point though – I think Dixon might be out for longer. Oh for an honest injury assessment from these clubs!!!

  5. Josh says:

Zorko and Thomas in this week. McEvoy missing may cost me a league win this week.

  6. Marty says:

    Hi jock,

Who do you think I should pick as captain Ablett or Minson?

    Opponent has pendlebury.

  7. Leeroy says:

Rookie mistake* as I left Langford on with both MacDonald and Webster sitting on the pine……. not enough attention paid on a Friday night may be crucial. 371 from 4. Burnt the VC on Sandi so GAJ will be raising the bat today.

    *pun intended

  8. Fabian says:

Can't complain so far with suckling and Sandi hitting tons. Going with Gaz as Capt. Didn't have the big ones to chuck the C on cotchin or Danger, nor did I have the time to use them as loophole options, would have like to tho.

  9. THE SALTSHAKER says:

Jock do i hold swanny? Or is buckley outta love with how he trains – would you say he will spend more time up fwd or its just till he gets fit?

  10. Kev says:

Langford promised so much NAB cup. It's disappointing when you've got a predominately rookie backline. KK on the bubble this week would lose me money, hoping matty fuller gets a gig soon

  11. Get Around It says:

Hi Jock. A bit dirty on the Mitchell to Swallow trade, though helped me move burn man Higgins to Zorko. Mitchell or Enright for next trade?

  12. Oliver Klozoff says:

1st World problem here, but who rates as a better captain option – GAZ or Pendles? Also Jock, looking to go from Goldsmith to Jacobs in the Ruck to generate some cash. I seem to have all the right rookies so far. Whats the case for Jacobs to be a keeper if he stays fit.

  13. canman1306 says:

322/3 Glad I held onto Mitchell Suckers Sandi VC Didn't pay off. Should have VC Ablett like I was going to.

  14. choppy says:

Jock, do you think its worth trading out the big berger for mummy? Worried his reduced output may continue based on trent west coming into the team

  15. Jamie says:

I downgraded caddy to tyson in order to upgrade matty wright to Zorko, hopefully wright doesnt come out withone of his preseason scores this week and zorko can kepp pumping out some big ones! Kept mitchel and suckling in though so thats a lready a big win!

  16. Liam says:

Is anyone having trouble completing their trades? I have tried continuously the past two days and it just keeps freezing.

    • Sleepy says:

is this occurring in Dreamteam? it happens to me to and very frustrating. Working fine for me in Supercoach though.

  17. Cash cow says:

Only had 2 players. Both exceeded their projected score so can't complain. Hoping for big game from May with a view to trading him and kennedy haris out for a premium forward and rookie on the bubble. Any suggestions on the premium. Already have Martin, danger, and wingard.

  18. Callum says:

438 from 4, won’t take sandy as vc so tossing up between mummy, ablett and pendles. Need some help

  19. Charlie bloody Dixon says:

Stuck on who to trade Dixon out to. Had to trade Barlow out and chose to get Tyson in, so worried that if I don’t sideways or upgrade Charlie my team will be too underdone this week with all my rookies. Especially because of Mcevoy not playing. Any suggestions?

    • Mike says:

I assume you're playing him FWD?

I went Dixon to Zorko, and picked up the best part of $41K.

If you're feeling ballsy go Dixon to May and pocket $172K!

      • Charlie bloody DIxon says:

        Yep playing him forward.

I started with Zorko which is why a forward option is difficult. Interesting suggestion with May, started the season well – not sure if I'm ballsy enough! Was thinking of going to Duzzy.

The option I'm leaning towards is Rohan to Ambrose to pocket the cash and get in some premos next week – I can say goodbye to my rank and a league win this round though. Toughy!

  20. Bailey says:

With Sandi’s score as vice not loophole-able I am left with the conundrum of who to pick as captain as my most expensive player is danger. These are my options

    Zorko

    Danger

    Smurph

    Beams

    Swallow

    McVeigh

    Rockliff

    Cotchin

    McVeigh

    Hanley

Or even Buddy or Pyke? Any suggestions welcome

  21. Nick says:

hi guys, need some advice. had vc loophole on sandi and was thinking either ablett or mummy as capt

  22. Jamie says:

Id go beams from that lot!

  23. Wattsieesq says:

3 down and 3 tons. Pretty happy with that. Sandi could have done better given Big Boy was out. Great win by the Hawks. On track to get to September.

    Wattsie

    • Derek says:

11 hawks had 100+. I was happy with Sam’s lazy 114 but not happy he sat on the bench for the last 15 mins.

  24. Samuel says:

Who should I trade I'm stuck. I have Deledio, Goldstein, Rohan and Wright that I am thinking of getting rid of but need help

    • Tracy says:

I am trading out Rohan for Ambrose and then upgrading Michie to Tyson. More money all round.

  25. Armagreggon says:

Worth going Dale Thomas down to Tyson to upgrade Higgins to Zorko? I'm torn with what to do with trades this week, have most of the gun rookies, and everyone is playing.

  26. Jay says:

Hi there Jock and community, thanks for all your help and this great website.

Just wondering who to get in out of Marc Murphy or Nathan Jones? If I went with murphy I would only have $8900 left other wise Jones would leave me around $20,000

If Laidler doesn’t get green vest do we put hime or Georgiou on the field?

  27. Kevan says:

Hi community, just a question regarding AFL fantasy. Supercoach have a rolling lockout, enabling last minute movements around bench players/vested players etc. Why does AFL fantasy continue with a full lockout?! Can't even interchange or change captains. This AFL Fantasy site is killing me. Supercoach and dream team only for me next season.

    • Derek says:

I tried dreamteam in past years, but I meant picking seagulls and trashbins like swan. Can’t make myself play anymore

    • sputnik says:

Yes you can. Click the 'I' button to interchange players in AFL fanatsy. It does have a rolling lockout and you can change your selections. And you can still trade mid round also

  28. Dogs says:

I was looking at a potential horror week on Monday, with Mitchell, enright , Barlow, Rohan, all under injury clouds. Decided to hold onto Mitchell and enright so it was out Barlow, swing Mitchell into the mids, so if both he and enright were both late outs I could at least pick my better rookies to score. In swallow to the back lines. 1 trade done.
I fell $6k short of being able to trade Rohan to zorko, and with Rohan being named I decided to get rid of Matty wright , and bring in zorko thanks to a lot of advice from the community, bank $200k in the warchest. Hopefully Rohan can pull his finger out , I only want 60's from him, how hard is that, lol

    • Michael says:

Pretty hard given he was the sub today lol.

    • WombatsFC says:

Rohan 23! Zorko not worth mentioning, Swallow tore him a new one

      • Dogs says:

Yep, regretting that one now, at least I got swallow and kept s.mitchell right…..and C on gaz . Finally getting a chance to watch a cats game , up until now I have been happy enough with caddy's scores , but geez I can see why everyone wants to jump off him. Wastes the ball a lot and a lot of clangers

        • Dogs says:

Oh, not to mention wright cracking the ton too. I knew whoever I traded out was gonna make me pay

          • Captain joc says:

            So was swallow tagging zorko?

            • Dogs says:

Played on each other, wouldn't say tagged. Zorko nearly had his head ripped off early too and didn't play well at all after that

              • WombatsFC says:

Swallow copped a massive elbow to the jaw from Merrett that would've put smurph in a coma, but he didn't even leave the field!

            • WombatsFC says:

Zorko's score wouldn't be so bad if was tagging Swallow but they were going at it head to head. Swallow clearly won the contest.

        • Dools says:

Caddy puts himself in position to get the 50 50 ball I think he is just unlucky with the final disposal But at least he gives the Team a chance to reset behind the ball most of the time…. I really don't want to trade him out I think he will come good with more game time . now it's just a question of patients for me

          • WombatsFC says:

Hi Dools I also have Caddy and he is looking very much like an infant Burnman. Great value to the team but a points thief in SC I probably should have traded him for Zork instead of matty wright.
Who else is there up front?

            • Dools says:

Cheap would be young Marco Paparone BrisVagas Avg low 60 's
but I 'm leaning towards Breust wont score like that every week but I think he is a key player like Rioli and atm less then 500K

              • WombatsFC says:

Yeah I might hold off for a week to get a second look at Fasolo

                • Dools says:

Fasolo is a definite maybe but I have too many Rnd 8 byes so I 'looking else where my man

                  • Dogs says:

I'm holding onto caddy, Rohan has to go tho, touch wood with no other trades needed next week I'll have up to $380k to spend on his replacement ( that includes rohans price)

Is it worth the risk going for one of the mid prices like a merret, May, hunter . Or going down to a rookie ? It's for F6 , so need someone with JS which I don't see in many of the rookies

                    • Dools says:

May and hunter the pick from you r post Dogs.
May under scrutiny for high hit on Zorko wait on MRP result if you are feeling brave Go for it after Review Hunter will score well as long as the Doggies get up

                    • Dogs says:

Cheers dools, will be waiting on news of enright too. If he's gonna miss again I'm dumping him, swing s,Mitchell back into the back line, and bring jibe into the mids , won't give me much to spend on Rohan then, so wait and see what happens.

This year 4 promos missing early games to injury or suspension, but I'm doing better than last year as I had 6 outs this time last year

                    • Dools says:

Hey Dogs keeping diggin'in mate You are on the frontline in a trench and the bad guys are attacking in force, follow your gut and stick by a decision like your first starting 22

                    • Dogs says:

Inspirational words dools, in the words of jock himself ' it warms my bloody heart' . Besides the wright/zorko trade I've only corrected rookies and Barlow so far, ridden the rocky suspension and back line injuries, lookin at an ok round now thanks to GAJ, rocky, treloar

                    • Dools says:

Trelor what a game score in an un intresting footy game ! Mummy hit 160 WTF 10 posies , ya 60 hit outs and all that but 160, glad TF made me do it LOL

  29. Samuel says:

Who should I get for Deledio? Selwood or Matt Thomas

  30. Scythe says:

Gee I hope Zorko doesn't spud it up this week. Traded Pav to Zorko last minute, and Pav finally came good last night. Anyway I would still assume that Zorko will score better over the course of the season though… I hope

  31. Mick - Me Mate the Master Farter says:

    Hi Jock

I have Brodie Grundy as my 2nd ruck with Sandi.

I am thinking of upgrading him to Mummy… What do you think?

    Cheers

    Mick

  32. Jscoach says:

    Hey community love the page,
Thoughts on Rohan down to Ambrose and Michie up to Matt Thomas
    cheers

    • BCHawks says:

That is a great trade selection and one that would reward you greatly.

      • Dools says:

Agreed but beware Ambrose is also vest material for the season so bench cover only where as Rohan will become a regular later in the season

        • Mike says:

          Rohan is already a regular….

….PAIN IN THE ARSE of every coach who has him!

Bizarrely though he hit his paltry BE so at least won’t lose value. Definite ‘get him out’ for Round 4.

  33. Tracy says:

What to do with Buddy??? Believe he will improve just a question of whether to hold whilst he works it out?

  34. Bray says:

Should I start dunston or Ellis in my midfield.?

  35. JJM says:

I need two of these players on field L McD Langdon Georgiou.
Will McD back his score of 90+ last week.
Will Langdon play like he did in Round 1
Will Georgiou consistently score 60-70 points which I'll be happy to take, playing against GWS this week might score higher.

  36. Nuggety says:

Hi community, is there time to switch vice captaincy in between the suns and pies games?
    Cheers

  37. Daz says:

kennedy harris or rohan on the field. rohan sub. is dunstan any chance of vesr. I need help fast

  38. Linc says:

Do I play Dunstan vs West Coat or Langdon vs Geelong?

  39. Fraser says:

What are the communities thoughts on Matty Wright, Jimmy Webster and Josh Caddy?
Haven't made any trades as of yet but want to know what the community thinks.
    HOLD OR TRADE?

    • BCHawks says:

I would trade out Matt Wright for Steven May who has played brilliantly over the past 2 weeks.

  40. Shinboner says:

Macrae you gun! Can't say the same about Titchell.

    • Dools says:

Damn he is good how about Parkers effort mate

      • Shinboner says:

Not watching that game Dools, what happened to Titch? Delighted with a combined score of 263 by Libba and Macrae!

        • Dools says:

150 odd from the wookie McRea AWESOME . Mitchell withdrawn from the play at the 3/4 mark I think Honestly he was canting but was useful but compared to the team he was non existent So looking back on the Stats travelled at 89%% Efficiency but got 55 SC points . I think he must be on a go slow (injured) methinks..

      • throttlefinger says:

Parker's effort was massive. May need to swap him for Higgins. (yes, yes, yes, don't tell me)

        • Dools says:

Hey buddy One game from parker that's all I got so he may be trade bait next week from me

          • throttlefinger says:

He's done 85+ the last two weeks. Not bad comparatively.

            Bit hasty?

            • Dools says:

not Hasty mate ZORKO was HASTY but no one was listening so When I say Parker is on the block after one great result I jump off every one else jumps on and still no one listens to Keyboard , Next G device and lill'ol'me

              • throttlefinger says:

Zorko wasn't hasty. Sound move given I had Wright whose value was going down. Zorko's going up. BE was sub 0. Even with his crap score, Zorko will average 100 for the year. All I ask from my F4.

                • Dools says:

Ya!!! 41 is an output I want from a keeper LOL and in the mean time Wright hits 100. This is not a game about B/E mate. This is a long term stratagem
On a more cheerful note Dunstan hits 141… Player. I'm just sad that I did not even put MacRea on me radar what a player …but at the same time I was impressed yet again by Swallow I thought he would fall over but he is a player as is Day So much to contemplate buddy much thinking time required Hahahahaha (Insert Carlton Draught) Geelong nearly killed me and somehow Pendles scores 115 and GAJ hit out 176 (C) 364 WOW! Tell me you had a C score mate

                  • throttlefinger says:

Introducing Dools…King of the Past the Fact Insight. C'mon dude. Wright's form looked HORRID. 84/51. And give me a tad bit more credit than that. It was based on both BE and gut from watching him play. He didn't look good. Douglass was taking his pill. Zorko looked fantastic against a punishing Cats. Yes, there was a chance Zorko could go to dumper. But that can happen to almost every player not named Gazza, Selwood and Pendles.

Yeah. I like the play of Macrae. Still nice price. Like Swallow but not enough to fit him in. Think he'll dip in play once Bennell comes back. But yes, he's a player.

Don't have Gazza. Putting the C on Mummy vs the Dees. tomorrow is a new day…hope a MUCH better day. Wombats is kicking me down the street right now. Forecast: massive bombast!

                    • Dools says:

Whoa there angry man I was not havin' a go Dude . I like the sound of King of the Past Fact Insight though but I recall warning all that Zorko was not the play to make this week but you and most others went for the neg B/E cash pump I'm just stating fact. Not having a go TF not at all I would have got rid of Wright if he where in my squad but not for Zorko that's all I'm sayin''
Sorry if this is offending you it is most defiantly not my intent

                    • throttlefinger says:

You didn't. I'm having a bad morning. Ask Keyboard. It's called "projecting." In other words, "acting like an A**hole to someone who doesn't deserve it." Apologies Dools.

You did do that. And coming from you and KennyB (good or bad nickname for Keyboard?) I should've listened.

                    • throttlefinger says:

Hanley's form is picking up. What's your and KennyB's thoughts on him? Houli has been KILLING ME.

                  • throttlefinger says:

Apologies for the gruff tone, my friend. Bad morning so far. Wifey in a mood. Kids drank Nugent juice…wango tango, intensity in 10 cities for the last hour.

And Zorko's score didn't help waking up too either…

                    • Dools says:

Hey mate I think Hanley scores better when he plays down the back in a losing side. When he plays Mid to fwd he usually gets around 85. but this is a good thing as they a re a poor team in comparison to Hawthorn or Freo now do you keep him in the hope that Leppa keeps him down back and inversely Zorko plays (Scores) better with Rich and Hanley up front So Rich is gone for the year . Hanley must play in def and Zorko needs to be friends with Rockcliff, but Rockey does not need him to play Zorko will need Rocky to play is this making sense mate

                    • throttlefinger says:

It does, my man. Seems like too many "ifs" and "musts" to have both Zorko and Hanley on my team. Just trying to figure out who to bring in. Not liking Houli's form. Broke a ton last week but got 74 this week and 68 his first game. Best to keep your prems until injury I know.

Lots of thinking to be done after this round. Higgins on the chopping block. Webster did good in his return from the groiner.

Charge up Keyboard and make sure he gets a good night's rest Sunday…will have many questions for him next week.

                    • Dools says:

Me thinks Houli for Grimms mate Future King Prediction LOL

                    • throttlefinger says:

HAHAHA. Well done, my forgiving friend.

I already have Dunn. Doing well. Having both would inspire SC shittestorm. Or not? What's keyboard say about adding Grimes with Dunn?

                    • Dools says:

When he plays the midfield opens . have you noticed that the Cats let him go… Why they see his play because that's what they want They understand what he is attempting his team does not, crack the middle …you win the game ..Oh and please delete your last post only 500,000 million people now are on what was next weeks trade LOL

                    • Dools says:

Like it TF but you need to delete you 2nd last post man only 1 billion people in China and they are all whispering mate LOL.

                    • Dools says:

Nice background with Phil Lynett and Thin Lizzy Respect!!

                    • throttlefinger says:

                      Huge Lizzy fan. You?

                    • Dools says:

I was a roady back in the day for U2 that's all we played on the road and abba I kid you not

                    • throttlefinger says:

NO WAY!!! Been listening to Chinatown this week. Very underrated Lizzy album. Production is crappy but songs are amazing.

Was in a touring band for many years. Live and Dangerous and Aerosmith's Live Bootleg were the go-to albums post show when we had an all-night drive to the next town. Just balls out great band.

                    • Dools says:

Small world mate very small world. BOYs are BAck in Town AWESOME, and ABBA's Supertrooper for the ladies LOL

              • throttlefinger says:

Parker will be a keeper. Won't be tagged and tackling machine. Non-stop motor. Sell at your peril, my man.

          • Captain joc says:

Hey dools you got any forwards under 465k worth bringing in for caddy

  41. Danners16 says:

    Shaun Higgins…

  42. Dogs says:

So far this round is showing the dangers of trading out your premiums/ high mid prices too early, cotchin, Libba, franklin , Pav, Mitchell all showin why they made original teams, and all in the mix of players traded out. I'm even lookin at m,wright now sitting on 93 before the game has finished thinking , I'd take that for his price, but I pulled the trigger and got rid of him

    • Derek says:

Beware the bandwagons. This week we had the Zorko, Swallow, Thomas and Tyson bandwagons all getting going. They can promise you quick cash, but usually they are short lived until the next one

    • Shinboner says:

Not sure why trading out Libba was even an option. Even when he scored in the 70s, he had 20+ disposals under a heavy tag. Then the next week he hit 110+.

    • Dogs says:

I jumped on the zorko wagon, trading out wright…..if I was home before the start of the swans game tho I would have traded Rohan when he was named sub. Didn't expect zorko to hit the same numbers , but 85-100 would have been nice

  43. Hez says:

Who is everyone playing on field? Dunstan against WCE or Langdon against Geelong?

  44. Michael says:

    Relevant HT FS2014 scores:
    GAJ 86,
    KK 41,
    Swallow 38,
    May 25,
    Cameron 9,
    Redden 63,
    Rocky 61,
    Hanley 59,
    Luey 37,
    Aish 27,
Zorko 25 (traded him in this week %$*&##!!!),
    Taylor 21

  45. Wattsieesq says:

    Captain on GAJ. You bewty

  46. Osh says:

Yay traded out Buddy fro Zorko this week working out well so far…

    • WombatsFC says:

Hahaha I think all of us who jumped on Zorko are kicking ourselves. Swallow shut him down and still scored 100+ lucky for me I also jumped on the Swallow bandwagon

  47. Marcus J says:

    Ablett is King

    that is all

  48. Josh says:

Which 2 from 3 as starters – McDonald, Webster and Langdon .?

  49. Gazza says:

Which player should score the most points, in order, out of langdon, l.mcdonald, ellis or dunstan?

  50. Wattsieesq says:

GAJ and Libba with BE of 153. Monster numbers to beat the BE.

  51. piewood says:

    1519/ 13 – thanks Captain Gazza

    go Pies!

  52. Shinboner says:

1976/16 with GAJ as skipper. What. A. Round. Duncan hits 142! Dunstan 143! If things go to plan with the remaining six, 2470 looks to be a likely round score.

  53. Josh.F says:

    1355 from 10 with GAJ captain. ;)

  54. canman1306 says:

    1274/11
    hoping for 2300

  55. Bundybear says:

Glad I didnt board the Zorko train. Biggest scam of the week

  56. JJM says:

Bartel Caddy and Beams clanger kings.

  57. Bicks says:

In trouble this week. Pav out for zorko, wanted more constancy. ….ha. McVeigh, Martin, T Mitchell not doing it for me. Thought I could cover Fyffe with rookies too. :( sad panda

  58. GarglesnarfFC says:

Held Enright, Mitchell, Hurn, Pav, Danger and Buddy. Traded in Mumford for McEvoy, and ignored Mthomas and Splorko. Didn't panic and trusted my premiums to come good, and now staring 2300+ down ATM which might help recover some of last weeks 1994!

    • throttlefinger says:

NICE. Think Pav's form will keep picking up, GFC.

      • GarglesnarfFC says:

Pav has had one average game in week 2, and his kicking was off in week 1. I expect he'll be a 95 avg for the year, and given his price that will do nicely. Looking forward to watching Kelly from GWS play this arvo, reminds me of Pendles the way he moves through traffic.

        • throttlefinger says:

Yeah, I like Joshy boy as well. Think he'll be SC relevant come next season. Unless he goes ton today (doubt it), be hard to slot him in.

Will be a fun game tonight. Especially Tyson playing against his old side.

        • throttlefinger says:

Kelly looked REALLY good. Don't know if he can pull that off against a strong side. But may be worth finding money to bring him in for Crouch.

Your Pendles comparison is dead on. Pure silk. Hmmmmmm.

          • GarglesnarfFC says:

Michie to Kelly looks like an option. Stops me getting Hanley for Hurn though, Jaensch instead will have to do.

            • throttlefinger says:

Yep that's almost a no brainer, Garglesnaf.

I've almost thought about downgrading one of my underperforming prems to get him and some spending cash. Feels rash. Mid rooks I have: Tyson, Polec, Dunstan, Ellis and Crouch. May just have to settle on that and fix the back line.

    • JJM says:

Good job Gargle. I'm looking at having Pav and Buddy in this week.

    • sputnik says:

You shoulda got rid of enright this week before price rises and a free upgrade. he's done mate

      • GarglesnarfFC says:

Enright and Hurn don't change this week, so I get to see who comes down in price this week and jump on board, no rush to trade them.

        • sputnik says:

fair enough. i assume you have swallow and jaensch then. hanley wouldve been good to jump on to aswell. i got rid of enright coz he's toasted i reckon.

  59. Josh says:

Bwahahaha! Hands up who had Dunston on the bench, meeeeeeeeee! :-)

  60. ShawLoser says:

    Whats more important:
League Win or getting in Dom Tyson?

i can loophole Dunstans score for the win or trade in Tyson for the cash cow.

  61. throttlefinger says:

Horrid. Sub scores. Lucky to crack 2100.

Hs he turned back into Zorko the Crapnificent?

  62. Wino says:

2251 with 3 rookies to play – Tyson, McDonald and Polec.
Traded D Thomas down to X Ellis and upgraded Rohan to Zorko.
Zorko my only spud. Libba, Breust, Gazza as Captain and Duncan onfield…nice.

    • JJM says:

That's a pretty solid score. Possible score of 2500+ well done Wino.

    • sputnik says:

good score but why get rid of daisy? he will start smashing out 100's. he's just to good a player not to.

      • Wino says:

@Sputnik – Calculated trade – risk and timing – isn’t that what SC is all about?_I wanted to get X Ellis before the price rise – better for cash generation. Last of the choice rookies that I didn’t have. He scored well too. I had no intent to keep daisy as a premium midfielder anyway.

I still think Zorko will be in the top 10 forwards for the season despite his clanger ridden performance this round. I am not naive to the fact that like Buddy he will still have the occasional stinker. _I also needed to get rid of Rohan. There are no real choice forward rookies so I needed cash to upgrade him to a premium.

I almost got Pav instead of Zorko – would have absolutely killed this round if I had done that. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but Zorkos early scores forced my hand to act earlier than intended . At least I kept the faith with Mitchell, Cotchin and Libba – no sideways transfers. Only one more premium required for my forwards now. I chose Parker over Buddy in my initial team and am happy with that decision.

Question: What is the point of keeping a Daisy/Rohan combo onfield for scoring purposes when I can have X Ellis/Zorko instead?
The 10 to 20 points extra that daisy may score over X Ellis are lost via the low scores from Rohan as my F6.

        FYI
        Current team (The Filth)
B: Mitchell, Hanley, McVeigh, Swallow, Langdon, McDonald – Georgio, Langford
M: Ablett, Beams, Cotchin, Libba, Tyson, Polec, Dunstan, X Ellis – Aish, M Crouch
R: Sandi, Jacobs – Currie, Derickx
F: Dangerfield, Martin, Breust, Parker, Zorko, Higgins – JKH, McDonough

Only one very minor problem at this stage is McDonut…non playing rookie.

  63. Fraser says:

I'm trading Caddy after this weekend.
    How do I go to?

  64. JJM says:

Sitting on 1500/13 with 5 Premos and 4 Rookies to play.
What are my chances hitting 2500
    Watson Murphy Mumford Wingard Harvey
    McDonald Polec Tyson Frost

Hoping all the Rookies hitting 90+ and hoping at least 2 Premos hitting 140+
and the other 3 hitting 100. Should get me 2500 or close to it.

  65. canman1306 says:

Not trying to get ahead of myself but I have been
Already Thinkng about Midfield Upgrades and I think the Perfect Midfield will be
Ablett Pendles StevieJ Selwood Watson Rockliff Libba and Beams
Or Maybe 1 of Barlow and Fyfe
    Thoughts?

  66. Vic City says:

I knew dumping Buddy at the last second was going to bite me.

    • throttlefinger says:

And picking up Zorko would do the same…just didn't think it would be SO soon.

    • Pieman1978 says:

I almost did it vic. I have scars from Cotchin to Matt Thomas. When you trade premiums they taste it & punish you

    • Mike says:

I wouldn’t sweat it. He’ll provide enough sub-90 scores this season to make you thankful you did it.

  67. Pieman1978 says:

Trading whilst intoxicated should be banned. Someone build a breath testing app that stops drunken trades! On the Beams & not the dane or clay variety!!!

  68. Mike says:

Sitting on 1881. Still to play:
    Tyson
    Wingard
    L McDonald
    Polec
    A Walker

2283 projected but based on averages will hopefully get me above 2300.

  69. Super_rabbit says:

2159 with McDonald, Tyson and Polec to go. Hoping for 2450+ and a decent rise up the ranks after last week’s disaster.

  70. pfft says:

Pav would have stunk it up with the rest of Freo if Hawthorn had say Schoenmakers or Lake in their sides. As for Zorko, had his head knocked off early in the game by May, looked pretty concussed. He didn't look right & would have been a possible sub candidate had Rich not done his knee. No talk of May being reported (yet) but how else do you bleed from the nose if head contact was not involved?

    • Harry says:

Yeah I was also one of the many who traded him in. I'm not panicking- he still had 20 possessions and now with Rich out that's only going to increase his midfield time. Still think he's an excellent long term prospect and there's not that many in the fwd line to choose from to be honest!

  71. Pieman1978 says:

More than 30000 people traded Zorko in this week. Ouch! A last minute text from Higgo stopped me from trading buddy to Zorko. God bless you Peter Higginbotham!

  72. Dogs says:

Has there been any news on Titch? Didn't look right yesterday and then subbed off for Rohan ? Would be a low blow to anyone's self esteem if they are fit and the coach think Rohan is gonna do a better job

  73. Michael says:

Should I trade JKH for Ambrose?

  74. piewood says:

1831/ 17 with D.Thomas,Tyson, Murph, Polec & Mcdonald to play will hopefully still get me up around 2300 . Was hoping for 2400+ but the forwards especially Zorko, Tmitch & Lewis Taylor really stunk it up this week.

  75. Sarah says:

Stocked with my decision to go Tyson instead of Zorko. In one quarter Tyson has almost outscored Zorko already and will make me heaps of cash!!! First big trade win of the season in the bag!!!

  76. Dan says:

At least tyson doin well, gws v mel worst game of footy ever seen.

  77. Leon says:

Community. Should I rage trade mastern? I really thought he would step up further with a good draw. Will just keep bleeding money. Help!

  78. Michael says:

    Relevant HT FS2014 scores:
    Treloar 95
    Mummy 68
    Kelly 46
    Cameron 33
    Patton 19
    Tyson 61
    Grimes 47
    Watts 35
    Vince 24
    Georgiou 17
    JKH SUB

  79. Michael says:

3 goals in total across a half = torture.
Is anyone watching this? I'd recommend if you're suffering insomnia….

  80. Michael says:

1789/17, Ambrose, McDonald, Polec, Murph, Daisy to go.
Hoping for around 2150 or so. 3rd straight round of 21something.
Traded in Zorko for Caddy for net loss of 4 points for the round, so no great gnashing of teeth yet, although expected more obviously!
I do expect him to average 100+ for the rest of the year, just an off day.
Others premos below par Dusty, McVeigh (getting nervous with him now…), Titch, Pyke, Beams.
Early trade action will be to offload Rohan maybe to Taylor to stock warchest with some cash (only have $11.5K), and possibly Enright depending on whether he comes up for next week.

  81. piewood says:

The amazing Mumford 164!…. that's 101 better than my second ruck Hickey whom I will seriously consider trading out for mummy next round.

  82. Birdman says:

Who needs Ablett when you have a little legend called Treloar!! Looking at 2300 for the week now

    • Dools says:

Hu Birdy, people like me like to have the insurance but wish I had him also

    • Pieman1978 says:

Birdman he could get shut down by a football team. He didnt play one today. Hes going to appreciate heaps early so great pick mate. If swanny gets going you may be able to sideways to him with change. And who would havr thought that!

  83. Shinboner says:

Cunnington stepping up in Ziebell's absence. And you've got to love the way Patch Adams goes about his footy!

  84. Rosco says:

Turning into a shocking weekend for me. Mcveigh reported, not scoring great anyway. Had Hanley all preseason but changed at the last minute. Sutcliffe a mid priced risk that hasn't paid off. Geogiou on the ground instead of Luke McDonald. Bad. Dunstan on the pine last night. And Caddy did SFA again. And will lose all Supercoach league matches. Bring on next week.

  85. cyril says:

Whats the go. Is Ambrose out?

  86. cyril says:

bugger, his first two games have been good

  87. jezza70 says:

Think it's only 1 game, I don't mind, means I can still bang him in before a price rise. Looks like a future gun.
I've still yet to play C, stupidly don't have GAJ or Dependlebury .. have Watson, Murph, Daisy to play, been switching b/w Murph and Jobe and thinking of Daisy as POD but going with Murph, expect both to get tagged but it's a HUGE game for blues lookin at 0 and 2.
    Luv the podcasts

  88. jack says:

need 71 supercoach pts from j. Watson to win this round

  89. Dogs says:

Finished with 2190, which got me my league win, not too bad considering I had 344 points from my forward line, half of them coming from danger and wingard

  90. Brad says:

Dalhaus, mcveigh, caddy, Pyke, Mitchell, zorko, wingard underperforming and Enright not playing really put me down 200 points! :( Was looking at 2400 plus!!!

  91. Cozza says:

2200 with Thomas and Ambrose to play. Now that Ambrose not named, have to take the 45 from Lewis Taylor :( That should get me over the 2300 mark though which I'll be happy with.

  92. Brad says:

Should I trade Pyke for mummy? He's only 40k more!

  93. JJM says:

Arggghh!!! Murphy really can't handle a tag. Looking to off load him after the bye round.

  94. Dools says:

I have just experienced the worst that footy can offer all weekend . 1 Melb V GWS the only star was the rain
2.Welcome to Melbourne Pt. Adelaide even with the roof closed it was dreary 3. Carlton any chance that you actually show up on game day the Seaford under 12 have more ticker then you and apparently they don't keep score but I am…. Limp, Insipid, Weak! How some of you draw a salary greater then some schools is beyond belief…GWS. No…. Melbourne would be a better spectacle then this ….Watching paint dry has now become a bloody Olympic sport Thanks for destroying a good weekend Carlton
Rant over Deep Breath Dools Aggghhhh !!!!!
2266 overall happy after a slow burn start Thank you GAJ, Pendles, Dunstan, Ellis, Tyson, Parker and co ….

    • WombatsFC says:

Hi Dools, yeah the blues were definitely insipid and it made me sick to see players run slow so that they didnt have to be in a contest. yes I'm talking about you Chris Yarran

    • throttlefinger says:

2266 is great considering. Will be under 2200.

No thank you: Jobe, Houli, Dunn, McV, Webster and, of course, ZORKO THE CRAPNIFICENT

      • WombatsFC says:

LOL I thought Webster was ok for a young 240k coming back from injury. seriously considering spending some of my massive bank balance to bring him in for Clurey

        • throttlefinger says:

Yeah, bit harsh on him Wombats. You're right. Did ok. Will keep.

The others though just took a chili con carna crap on my SC scores.

          • WombatsFC says:

Yep they were slightly below par but lucky for you ya didn't have Titch, langford and enright and did have mummy. Big call leaving out Gaz though

      • Dools says:

Jobe, Dunn, Webster are all slow burn Keepers. Zorko I think is a keeper but not until after the bye He now needs to function without Rich as we discussed yesterday McV is up to the MRP he could be unlucky and cop 1 week I think it was nothing but the Head is sacrosanct in AFL under the rules. So he could be the trade we also chatted about last night mate. One door closes and another opens eh?

    • sputnik says:

Dools sorry mate but are you talking in code???

None of your posts make any sense and are incomprehenable.

Not sure if you are trying to be a wordsmith or clever but your posts are a pain in the arse, drivel and clog the site. maybe you and throttle should have long winded conversation thru email and not this site

      would be much appreciated :)

      • The Ranger says:

Hey Sputnik, here's a thought……………how about you just don't read the posts that you don't like?
        They're not compulsory reading.
That way you wouldn't have to write ill-mannered replies.

  95. cyril says:

Who is thinking about bringing in Chappy? Or will he eventually sit games out? Theres also the chance he'll injure himself too

    • Shinboner says:

Had him from the start under the premise that whenever he plays, he plays well. It's only a matter of how often he WILL play. I reckon he will be carefully managed towards the end of the season, but I don't think they can sit him out with the form he's in.

    • Dools says:

A player on Fire is a player on Fire #3 rounds Avg 118 Price $464K before this exhibition worth 550K on his play but there is a small chance he will break or be nursed. I don't think so! LOCK

    • WombatsFC says:

After last nights news I'd say wait until after the bombers go west. HE WILL NOT PLAY THIS WEEKEND

  96. Dools says:

Thank you Gods 138 to 57 Bombers win in a very one sided affair bring on the PODcast

  97. JJM says:

I was expecting to get 2400+ thanks to Wingard and Murphy now I'll just barely make 2300.

  98. WombatsFC says:

As terrible as the blues were Carazzo could be worth a look as a downgrade after next week.
23 poz, 6 tackles, 4 clearances in his first game back after a long injury layoff

    • WombatsFC says:

No he's not I misread his price I thought he was 100k cheaper.

      • throttlefinger says:

Other than Murphy, all Blues players should have a sticker that reads "BUYER BEWARE"

        • WombatsFC says:

Thought Buckley was let down by the more senior players, for 10 minutes in 2nd qrtr he was the only player in Blues defense who was prepared to run to an unmanned bomber, and there were always plenty. A couple of his deliveries into fwd 50 should have been easy chest marks and goals but Yarran and others decided to pull out of the contest, I've still got him pegged as a round 5 downgrade

  99. throttlefinger says:

For the reasons you stated is the reason why that's a risky move. Like Dylan, but until they start playing better ball as a unit, no one on that team is on my radar.

    • WombatsFC says:

Yeah but I hate having two benchwarmers scoring 100+ regularly, means I have to choose.

  100. WombatsFC says:

There wasn't a lot wrong with Dunns performance either if they didn't have Melbournes annual rainfall during the game he would have easily made 100 but its hard on a marking player in aquatic conditions. Seriously how long until they rename Skoda Stadium to Blacktown Water Park.

  101. throttlefinger says:

Yep. Not even considering throwing them out. May be right about McV. Looked incidental. We'll see. May do that but may offload a prem mid for cash and way to bump up Caddy. Seems more an issue. Have support in back. We'll see. KK is a downgrade option too. Massive potential.

  102. throttlefinger says:

Very good point. Out to pasture early. Who will it be? (cue dramatic Da-Dummmm SFX)

  103. WombatsFC says:

Now that Zorko has shown that he will keep himself away from contests if he gets a solid bump or tackle I'm sure opposition coaches will start dealing him the smurph card and crunch him as early as possible. This happened last year and he was worthless to SC. For the first 2 games of 2014 coaches forgot the fact that Marshmellow Dayne can be dangerous if he is left alone so he was. The suns do more homework on Brisbane than any other club and they identified Zorkos lack of desire for a physical contest immediately (not hard just look at his figures from 2013 against physical teams) May lands a fair, and far from heavy, tackle and Hey-Presto 'Zorko the magnificent' became the Cowardly Lion.
Who should I get up forward to replace him because there isn't much doubt that he'll return to his 2013 form from this point.

  104. Justin says:

When the bye rounds start at round 8 – what should I be looking for in averages – for all players on field (??) i.e.
Def. 80+ points (plus cash cows on bench)
    Mid. 100+ points " " " " "
    Ruck. 100+
    Fwds. 90+

Is this a realist target ??

  105. Ashly says:

Wonderful, whɑt a website it is! This weblog gives
valuable facts to us, keep it up.
