Howdy folks, it’s Barron Von Crow here with our Round 1 Supercoach Scouting Report.

I tell you what, I’m bloody excited for the start of the 2014 season, and I’m sure you’re all looking to make a killer start to your Supercoach seasons, and that’s why I’m here to help. Each week we’re going to take a gander at the matchups for the round, and we’ll be taking a look at some of the more important players previous form against their scheduled opponents and we’re going to see if there’s anything we can glean from their previous scores. The hope is that this will really help us nail our Captain picks each and every week.

Round 1 will be slightly tricky due to the split over two weeks, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start preparing. It will also give us a slight advantage as we can use the C/VC loophole quite easily this week, without having to rush to be on the PC or iPhone or whatever, so even if you don’t see an obvious Captain choice from this weeks games, you should still be on the lookout for a decent VC pick.

So let’s get going and take a look at the Round 1 matchups. Also, remember to look out for the red and green Supercoach scores, RED = bad, GREEN = good which may help you out when it comes to picking your captains for the week.

Captain Pick(s):

Sandilands has a good record the past 3 games VS Collingwood, potential to crush the young Heath Grundy? Both Swan and Pendlebury struggled against Freo last year, but will Beams return free one up? Sandi a solid pick and Swan does have a good career average against Freo, those two may be your best bets here, but Pendlebury a decent choice also, as he is most weeks. 1st game of the year, reckon a VC loophole on Sandilands might be the best thing to try here as long as Pendlebury isn’t your #1 midfielder.

Captain Pick(s):

Franklin only has scores that hit his average in his 2 games VS GWS as a Hawk. Would have maybe expected GWS to be the type of team he could destroy if you want to take a big risk. JPK has 2 very good games against GWS; both games came in the opening round as well. Above average scores against GWS in his 4 games played, he could be the best pick from this game.

Captain Pick(s):

Murphy has a good recent history VS Port, scoring above his average in his last 3 games. Gibbs and Westhoff scored well the last time they played, but history previous to that game was disappointing. There’s probably nothing of real worth here apart from Murphy, unless you want to take a punt on Westhoff having a big game again (which is entirely possible).

And that’ll be it for the first half of Round 1. It’s a split round, so we’ll be back next week to take a look at the remaining games in Round 1. Hope you manage to pick a winner this week and if you’ve got any questions or comments, stick ‘em in the comments below or send me some air mail on the Twitter @BarronVonCrow

  1. Billy says:

Great article! Keep up the good work Barron Von Crow!

  2. David says:

Wow Fyfe and Sandiballs haven't played Collingwood for a while now.
Vice captian has to be on Sandilands, he will destroy Grundy and be up around 160+

  3. benisbill says:

Round 1, why not go balls to the wall?

VC on the Human Tree against an undersized Pies team for mine!

  4. Sarah says:

Drat. I thought I was being clever putting the VC on Sandi but now everyone is onto it!!

  5. SCdonkey says:

Beams and Sandi is looking good for me for the VC badge. And keep C on Ablett

  6. SCaddict says:

Barron I agree with you on JPK and he will likely be my VC for Rd1.

Sandi could be a good option for VC given his direct opponent but Freo may be starting the season slowly, if their preseason is any indicator.

So will probably roll with JPK and see how he goes with GAJ to back him up as C in the following game if need be.

  7. Party says:

Gee Whiz, This is a whole new level Barron. Excellent stuff! The Supercoach gold guys will be in contact shortly I would have thought because this absolutely whips the dribble they put out there!

    • benisbill says:

When SC Gold employs the same people that write for the AFL Fantasy and DT Talk sites, we can't REALLY expect them to put any effort or thought into articles about SuperCoach can we?

      • WombatsFC says:

Very astute observation and yet another reason for those of us who benefit from this site to financially support it. Maybe that will encourage Jock to cap advertising at its current level.

  8. Nathan says:

What do you guys reckon on matthew lobbe worth the punt or who else around that price?

    • Chaz says:

Certainly a good option though I think it would be too risky to go him and Sandi in the same team without a Hicky type backup. Lobbe hasn't proven much to us yet, so he is a risk but if he pays off you could make a bit of coin? Not as good value as some others like Jacobs and Ryder though IMO.

      • Nathan says:

I had jacobs last year and he just shit me all the time, lobbe had a great average at the end of last year and with redden out for 7-8 weeks is really the only reason im going for him. But lobbe played terrible in the nab challenge

        • benisbill says:

Keep an eye on whether Port name a second ruckman – if Lobbe gets to ruck solo, jump on I reckon.

  9. Chaz says:

Hey guys, if anyone is interested, kicking off a Draft tomorrow night for 16 teams, 19 players per team code is 885109 – looking for some extra players if anyone is interested on getting involved?

Starts 6:30pm EST at 13th of March with 60 seconds per pick the hope is to try and get it done before the Footy Show kicks off!

  10. Ripper_Roo says:

Great output Barron! Will be interesting how many go with Beams for VC…if he delivers on promise, this could be one way to get out in front early.

  11. Jimmy says:

Would you get Hickey or Grundy?

    • SCaddict says:

It's doable Jimmy but I would personally rather pay a bit extra for a Jacobs, Lobbe, Pyke or Ryder myself.

      • SCKook says:

        SCaddict… in that order???

        • SCaddict says:

I think you can make a strong case for any of these four and a number of other more expensive rucks too.

I'm likely picking Sauce Jacobs but would not complain at all if I had to start with one of the other three.

    • WombatsFC says:

      Sinclair

  12. Bruds says:

    AMAZING WORK BARRON!
Your efforts in supercoach research are simply inspiring.
The VC is set to be thrown on Sandiballs because i can see him taking Grundy to town for a nice steak dinner and never calling again.

  13. KadeK is a jet says:

Great work Barron! I really enjoyed reading this! I just want to know who everyone else would be selecting as their Vice Captain (VC) I was thinking Sandilands but for some reason have changed it to Gay Ablett and am putting Rockliff as captain (C). Good choice or Bad choice? Would love some feedback?

    • KadeK is a jet says:

Sorry I meant 'Garry Ablett' not 'Gay Ablett'

    • SCaddict says:

Putting the VC on Gaz is fine but would be hesitant to make Rocky your backup plan for Rd1. The Hawks have been smashing teams lately.

Ziebell who starred in NAB 1 was made to look like chopped liver in NAB 2 against the Hawks.Think Rocky is a better play btw but merely making the point it's hard to post monster scores when your team is getting annihilated.

Gaz has been one of the few to do it consistently in recent memory but not too many others.

  14. Jack says:

    Barron,

in terms of premiums, mid-priced players and rookies; what ratio of these would you suggest we put in our teams?
    And in what positions?

your insight would be appreciated greatly.

    • SCKook says:

Have a look at the experts team reveals… some good variety in structures there, so may not give you any better idea – but they are the experts and planning for this year would have begun 2013!

  15. Bmac says:

Who to pick out of Dom Tyson & Viv Michie? at the moment i've got Polec, Dunstan and Crouch as mid rookies

    • Bruds says:

I posted the exact same thing Bmac!
It is doing my head in, i don't know enough about them to make a call but need and feel having both would just be dangerous.
Aish or crouch as well is a tricky one, Crouch is that chunk cheaper but i feel Aish will have better job security and definitely be in the team most if not all of the year.

      • Angelal says:

Adelaide rarely plays newbies first round they didn't play his brother till later last year, if he ain't in team put aish in pick crouch up later hopefully

    • Rocksta says:

I personally don't understand all the Hype about Michie. The lad has played one solitary AFL Game.
Dom Tyson was 3 rd Pick in the 2011 Draft, and Melbourne effectively gave up Pick 2 in last years draft to get him. He is a gun. Problem at GWS was that the whole team was full of young Guns.
Yea, Michie is around $50K cheaper, but Tyson is clearly the better player and will score higher week in week out until you upgrade him to a Premo IMO.

    • Blueprime says:

Ditch Crouch and keep the 4 that will all most likely play R1.

    • Garglesnarf FC says:

Both. I am picking Tyson as a keeper for M8/M9 as I expect his score to avg 80+, Michie will hopefully score 50-70avg and will go in the bye rounds or before if the timing is right.

  16. Alex says:

    BRILLIANT STUFF

  17. Grant says:

Thoughts on Webster? Seen a lot of teams with him in it but don't know why

    • Bruds says:

Hey Grant, St.Kilda have a lot more midfield opportunity this year and he as scored a 90 and 92 with elite disposal efficiency in pre season games.
I have him at the moment because i can see him reaching 400k by the byes and then being able to turn him into an in form defender to keep for the rest for the year.

  18. matthew says:

can somebody please help me choose between swallow and watts both have potential 95 averages this year but both could burn as well.

    • bill says:

      watts

      • SCKook says:

Watts had a few touches pre season, but all little influence – little handballs here and there, no penetration, not good for SC scoring. May get the odd big score here and there, but…

    • Bruds says:

The W word shouldn't be said ever.
Until Jack can hold together a decent string of games and have a set position i don't think he is even in the bracket for fantasy.
Swallow is a decent choice for sure and although he isn't in my team that could change as at the moment i have Mitchell, Hodge and Suckling in backline which doesn't look pretty.

  19. Bailey says:

BVC you superstar! I look forward to reading this every week!

  20. Jag says:

Tossing up… Which 2 out of..
    JP Kennedy, T. Cotchin, T. Liberatore, J. Watson, T. Rockliff, N. Fyfe?

Currently going with J. Watson and T. Liberatore…

    Thoughts?

    • Leisure Suit Larry says:

Rocky, libba, cotchin, jpk in that order for me

      • Give It A Go says:

Going with Cotchin and JPK, will upgrade to the others later, recon Cotchin and JPK are going to score big from the go.

        • SCaddict says:

Yeah that's not a bad plan. Considering Cotchin myself though up there at Metricon against an improving Suns midfield may not be ideal.

        • SCKook says:

Not sold on JPK. He is a fallen premium, but 120 in 2012 is a monster effort and with more mid contributors, his points won't reach that level again.
I'm banking on Cotchin – I think Jock has hinted he could go Ablett like (his word is enough for me), but he's also injury free.

          • Rocksta says:

He is the extractor Kook and as such I don't think the amount of lads running through the guts will make any difference.
He looked lean and mean to me in the NAB and I reckon he will get his average back over 110 this year

    • WombatsFC says:

      Rocky & Cotch

    • Blueprime says:

      C & L

  21. matthew says:

who do you think will play more early games out of m crough and s lemmens.

    • Bruds says:

Probably Crouch Matt. Hard to saay but with Douglas going down Adelaide will have more midfield opportunity.

  22. Give It A Go says:

    Great Stat's Barron,

Have a few of those players in my team, what s your stats on Zorko and Pavlich?

On a different note I've go a league going in the Ultimate footy called Black Knight (430798) have 11 places left and doing a live draw at Thursday March 13 at 8:00 PM (ACST), if interested anyone please join.

    Cheers community

  23. Sully321 says:

    Hi community,
My current no 1. Ruckman is Todd Goldstein and I'm wondering if I should look 100k cheaper and look at someone like leunberger/mcevoy/kruezer, bring in Minson or stay with goldy.
    Your thoughts would be appreciated

    • Bruds says:

Hey Sully, i don't think the two 600k ruckman are worth it personally.
I have been tossing up between McEvoy, Leunberger, Jacobs and Lobbe.
McEvoy is in my team at the moment because i feel with a much stronger team in Hawthorn he will be able to score more goals and have more touches of the pill.

  24. throttlefinger says:

Rawkin piece, Barron. Hope this is a part of every round!

Now just need to decide on VC on Sandi or JPK.

Haha cos the giants wont be putting their best negating player on JPK?

Mate JPK pumped out some good scores against GWS kids in nappies but last year when a few of the GWS kids had graduated to long pants at school JPK was closed down.
This year he’ll be against the same opponent but now that opponent is shaving and his testicles have become testes.

For anyone playing in the throttledome I encourage you to chase the historical points of the old man JPK or Tiny by using the VC loophole on one of them; don’t be silly and put it on Pendle or McVeigh.

      • throttlefinger says:

Ahh, young Wombats who is the silly one. JPK had an off year by his standards yet led the league in clearances and contested possessions. Why does your undies get sloppy for Cotchin and his "down year" and not JPK? He had a niggling season-long injury as well.

Mick had a valid reason to wait and see about him and other Swans. I get that. McV won't crack 110 against GWS. See him getting a low ton.

  25. Wombats minus tracking says:

Yep Sandi looks real good for the VC IF he is the only Freo ruck named on Thursday, otherwise I might go with Pendle or McVeigh.

Freo need to do 2 things with their Rucks this year
    1. Keep tiny safe and available particularly until Griff & Zac have recovered
    2. Get some more games into Hannath

Whilst Zac & Griff are out Hannath may get a lot of game time due to the importance and injury susceptibility of Tiny Sandilands.
So, when Freo play sides with rubbish rucks (ie Pies)Sandi could spend a lot of the second half on the pine so that Hannath can get some confidence building game time against inferior opposition.

    • Rocksta says:

      Hi Wombats.
I don't think Freo will rest Sandi in The second half of a round 1 game.
Its important to get your season off to a good start and I reckon the game will be closer than many think.

    • WombatsFC says:

Maybe, but why you are so insecure?

      • Rocksta says:

I've got the 'v' locked and loaded on him Wombats……………Is that a sign of insecurity?

        • WombatsFC says:

          • throttlefinger says:

    • Wombats minus tracking says:

Hey Kooky, why not just go for Cyril?

    • Bruds says:

So Buddy who even though he didn't set the fantasy world alight last season will still be a 90+ player this year in my opinion which shouldn't be passed up on.
I can't think of a Sydney player that hasn't been improved after moving there and Buddy may play a different role this year but i feel he will still produce decent numbers.

I don't have either of Fasolo or Higgins but with his preseason form Higgins appears to be a better choice if he is playing on the half-back line.
I am a mad Pies supporter and feel Fasolo won't appreciate as much as many hope.

Higgins will find a way to burn you, Ultimate burnman lol

        • WombatsFC says:

I know Wattsie I'm expecting the SC gods to introduce a clause just in case he doesn't burn everyone.
Rule 1 – Subsection 2 – Clause 285: If Shaun Higgins' scores are likely to increase his monetary value with regard to the SC game they shall be declared null and void.

          • Wattsieesq says:

Haha, I'd second that clause. I'm not picking him and he'll probably score big and burn me that way lol. Ultimate burnman

        • Garglesnarf FC says:

Yep, he’s rubbish. Due to his high price he wont go up enough to warrant playing him over a named rnd 1 rookie, and he doesn’t score high enough to be a keeper or even beat a Rookie.

          Dumbest pick this year.

  30. Give It A GO says:

    Any thoughts on this?

    Def Hodge,Mid Daisy and O'rourke,

or for the same about cash

Def Suckling, Mid's Daisy and Shiels

    what's your thoughts

    • Bruds says:

I don't think O'Rourke is a viable option yet as he may not be named and probably won't play a full season. Other options like Polec and Dunstan look to play all season.
My team at the moment has Hodge, Daisy and those rookies
Shiels looks to be a greater risk than Hodge for mine.

  31. Bruds says:

Hey Community, curious as to what people think about Pavlich.

Is he a viable option or should he be turned into Parker/Roughy/Buddy/Martin or even downgraded to Higgins ect. to put more money into the backline?

Also i have been weighing up my team and can only fit seven 450k+ players between my back and forward lines
would it be more beneficial to have four in the forward or back?

    • Hugh G says:

I have Pavlich.. Too cheap to ignore..

      • Bruds says:

Proven slow starter and is getting on but he is my F4 at the moment
I'm playing around with Parker to replace him or perhaps even higgins and loading up the backline

    • Super_Freak says:

Been in and out of my side a few times. Great player, just not sure he can get back to his best again.

    • WombatsFC says:

whats wrong with 7 in the middle?

      • Bruds says:

I'm confortable with my mid structure being 2 premo, beams, murphy, thomas and 5 rookies but i can see how people are wanting to beef up the mids
I just don't see how much money can be made initially if you don't sacrifice midfield premium spots for rookies

        • WombatsFC says:

There is a massive difference between premium midfielders and premium any other position unless DPP in which case they're comparable. However a DPP midfielder is never a top ten midfielder. This is why the Pendabswawoods of this world cost a lot more. You will never upgrade a rookie to a top ten midfielder without downtrading someone else. But if you start with an underpriced /fallen premium or proven player set to breakout they can be easily turned into premiums. ie Mick the Mad Potatoe Muncher

  32. Hugh G says:

Someone refresh my memory, JPK was carrying an injury last season, yes? Wasnt it a groin?

    • Dools says:

      Yep, it was his groin

    • Super_Freak says:

I believe so. If he has recovered then he may stop hanballing so much and get his SC scores back up where they were in 2012

      • WombatsFC says:

When it comes to groin tears they usually use the word 'healed' instead of recovered. The reason is that you cannot fully recover from a groin tear. The consequence of the injury after it heals is a loss of take-off power and strength on the relevant side.
The muscle that is torn is very small and has the highest stress to mass ratio of any muscle used in football.

I don't think that he'll breakdown this year but I doubt he'll increase his output much.

        • Super_Freak says:

I know what you mean Wombats. Suffered a really good groin tear about 5 years ago, and even with physio, it's never been the same. Hopefully JPK can work through it and get his numbers back up.

          • WombatsFC says:

I shared your pain SF. It's a ridiculously debilitating and painful injury. I could drive without a worry but I had to get my GF to lift my leg in and out of the car.

  33. Josh says:

Quick one, Pyke, Lobbe or Jacobs?

    • Bruds says:

I'm in the same boat. I don't feel pike is at the top of my list but Jacobs has looked leaner and Lobbe had a poor pre season with games. Jacobs for mine or McEvoy even.

    • Super_Freak says:

I have Jacobs R1. Looks leaner and ready to make amends for poor form last season

    • WombatsFC says:

      Pyke………………………………….Jacobs.Lobbe

  34. Gilly says:

Have about 160k left over, any suggestions?

    Backs S.Mitchell, J.McVeigh, P.Hanley, J.Webster, T.Clurey, L.McDonald, W.Langford, A.Georgiou

    Mids G.Ablett, D.Beams, B.Cunnington, T.Liberatore, L.Shiels, D.Tyson, L.Dunstan, V.Michie, J.Polec, X.Ellis

    Rucks D.Cox, A.Sandilands, T.Derickx, F.Thurlow

    Fwds P.Dangerfield, J.Roughead, L.Dahlhaus, G.Rohan, J.Caddy, L.Parker,M.Mcdonough, J.Kennedy-Harris

    • WombatsFC says:

Very solid team but I reckon If Langford plays you don't need McDonald which could help you turn rohan into higgins

    • Bruds says:

      Hey Gilly
Immediately i feel that your backline needs a tweak because McDonald is the only sure thing to play and keep his spot for mine at the moment. Perhaps find the cash to upgrade him to a premium or suckling?
Personally i don't have Cunnington or Dahlhaus but they are your picks and more than anything going with your gut is what you should do!

Just food for thought, Cox may turn into a dinosaur this season and need to be rested and when nic nat is 100% fit i can't see cox scoring over 100 often, his price is quite steep so i'd recommend Jacobs, McEvoy or Leunberger

    • Gilly says:

Hey Wombats and Bruds, thanks for the feedback.

I have been running with laidlaw in def but tipped him out to see what it would look like with Clurey, not sure. Also Langdon is on my radar. Also had Suckling for a while but was unsure how he would fit into the team structure, so with Langfords form went that way instead.

Cunnington only went in last night had been running with Pendlebury, I just keep thinking that he might be the north mid that gets under the radar of the opposition and he tackles like a machine, not convinced though.

Cox also only went in last night had been running with Lobbe, his form has been poor and there is talk of Port playing Renouf as well. Had Sauce last year so a bit gun shy, looked hard at McEvoy and Leunberger but thought that if Nic Nat has to be managed through the season might be enough to keep Coxy on the park and not hugely affect his scores. The thing that swayed me was that he has played the last 88 games straight, but at 32 I am nervous.

Thanks again and goo luck for the year.

  35. Tomscoach says:

    Hey community
Just a quick question, do you reckon Pendles is worth that price tag so early on (i have ablett as well). Is it better to upgrade to him in byes

    • WombatsFC says:

      Hi TC
if you want to finish in the top half of your league ladder you will have to have Pendle by round 11.
if you want 22 chances at winning $1,000 you need him at round 1

    • Bruds says:

If you have both i feel that's a lot of money that is taking away from the other lines so i'd tend to pick ablett for his peak ability that you can pop the C on most weeks. Pendles is a must after the byes in my opinion Tom.

    • Super_Freak says:

Worth every penny. The guy is a flat out Gun!

  36. Josh says:

Another one! Battle of the Tom Toms, Langdon or Clurey?

    • Bruds says:

  37. Doggiesfan says:

Hey community what do you reckon about Libba. Have him at the moment but looking at his last years scores he is very inconsisent!. He doesn't average that well against teams before the byes but on the contrary he is training and playing the house down. Any thoughts

    • WombatsFC says:

Hi doggiesfan I reckon you'll be celebrating a lot more this year than any other year in your memory and it will be due to Libba.
You have to forgive L/Y early form as he was still learning but now he is primed and ready to explode and the red, white&blue will feature as strongly in top SC scores as it did when Matty Boyd was at his best.
He will be everybodies team at the end.

    • Rocksta says:

      Couldn't agree more with Wombats.
Consistency is something that comes with age and going into his fourth year this part of his game will only get better.
The bottom line is the Kid is an absolute Gun ( and Son of a gun I might add).
      Lock him in

  38. Rocksta says:

All, save for Rd 1 Rookie selections, my team is completely locked away apart from one last lingering Dilemma…………………Heater or Hanley , or other for D3? ( please note if Hibberd wasn't injured then I wouldn't be asking this question).
I've seen/heard many comments saying Heater will cop the tag week in week out.
But considering he is playing for GWS (whom whilst will improve will still finish bottom 4) , would the opposition even bother? I reckon he will creep up onto the wing at an early stage in any event.
On that Note, Hanley will definitely get tagged as he plays for a better team and will cut you to shreds if let run free.

    Please help

    • Wattsieesq says:

Hey Rocksta, everyone has jumped on Handley, but with Brisbane's tough start, I think his output might not be that great. There's a lot of talent around that $500k mark, I'm sure you will find someone.

    • Garglesnarf FC says:

Much of Shaws big point scoring was done in ‘junk’time during Collingwoods wins. Given GWS wont have as many wins I suspect that Heath won’t be scoring quite as well at GWS as he did at the Pies. Avoid

I wouldnt be too confident of Playing AFL Fanatasy this year- It is run by FanHub who are running NRL fanatsy also.

Coaches were unable to log in 48 hrs before round 1 kick off in NRL to change their teams- rookies who were named for round 1 and change captains choices etc. Now it is thurdsday night and they still HAVE NOT fixed the errors.

    The errors have been
    * people were able to trade in unlimited players who were LOCKED out after they had massive scores. People have been trading in these players all week and the scores have been added to their round 1 scores. Some people have been able to do this up until Wednesday when the lockout finished.
    * when people have reversed trades their team has reverted to the very first team they saved- This cannot be undone so people are stuck with their very first saved team.
    * the mob running the show CANNOT backlog to find out who the cheats have been and who made extra trades. My round 1 ranking dropped from 174, to 250, to 500 and now it has finally rested at 1010 across the last 3 days- so somewhere along the way others have been bringing the high scoring players in to increase their ranking even days after the whole round has finished. The propmoters say they CANNOT tell who has done this
    * round 2 is about to start and it is still not possible to trade 2 players at once.
    * some people have logged in today and their team is over the salary cap so they have to use 2 trades to get under the salary cap and trade out prems for rookies to do so.
    * people who had 100K+ in their warchest have logged on and now have only 8K
    * and their are a dozen other problems- people who have paid for the coaching subscription had it stop soon as lockout began.
    * their is no live stats centre……
AND there are about 5000 other complaints on the NRL Lone Scout facebook- the equivalent of Dr Dreamteam.

Anyway they have been working on fixing the problems since Tuesday last week (10 days ago) and now it is Thursday and still not working.

Oh yeah and worst of all- many people are logging in and there's random players in the side they never even selected. The screw up destroyed my team and I am not playing it anymore this year, just hoping the same thing doesnt happen in the AFL.

167,000 playing NRL fantasy and nearly every one of them has been sc3wed over- and those cheats who made undetectable trades after games have completed are sitting on top of the ranking with scores that you would never see unless you had a full team of prems- so the final prize has already been compromised.

So at least you are all safe with Supercoach and the real dream team- just watch out for this dodgy AFL fantasy run my some new mob called fan hub media. Just dont be surprised if you get your heart broken in AFL Fanatsy is the only format you are playing

    • rolling thunder says:

OHHH yeah PS – also even though it says PUBLIC LEAGUE in the AFL fantasy site there is NO autofill- I repeat NO AUTOFILL for the public leagues- so if you create a league and you are the only team in it it will be deleted.

FARKIN USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can you believe this crappy new mob who are trying to make and old succesful game better- AND NO AUTOFILL LEAGUS? LOL Ridiculous.

      • Dipswitch says:

yeah thats true. I read on another site that if you chose the top 17 players from NRL fantasy scores last week the total maximum was 1270- and the number ranked person got 1165. It also said it was impossible to choose the top 17 players because they didnt fill all the positions to make a complete valid team. So basically it is true and it seems people were picking and trading players after the games were completed but the people running it didnt know and couldnt detect it. And it also said if you look at the top 50 team you can basically see who the cheats are and their names. It would be the equivalent of scoring close to 2900 round 1 of supercoach. But anyone could do that and choose a team after the final scores were posted right? LOL

      • SCaddict says:

This is truly mind numbing. What a debacle! :(

All that preseason planning down the dunny. It's just not god enough! You have to wonder how well they bug test their systems.

I had one of my AFL Supercoach draft leagues fail yesterday. Was meant to have a live draft last night but it didn't happen. Have contacted the site admins but so far no answer.

Certainly no where the same level of grief you and your NRL fantasy brethren have endured the past week.

Heard they will be running a parallel competition commencing Round 4 though I'm sure this is hardly much consolation.
