3 burning Supercoach Dt questions.Time to slap some big arse questions on the table before we get our heads around the ins and outs of Round 10.

Hope you have had a listen to this week’s podcast. Rest assured the The Crouching One is resting in a quiet warm place today and has calmed down considerably. Understand that this is a stressful period for Crouch and that his Tigers are very special to him. For now they are displaced from their customary 9th position only on percentage and we feel that this causes our mate significant personal anxiety.

We covered some big issues this week folks and there are many Supercoach and Dreamteam questions that need to be put out to the community for consultation.

POST BYE FREMANTLE TRADE IN OPTIONS

Peter Higginbotham explained this week that Fremantle have a very soft Supercoach finals series. They play GWS, Melbourne, Port Adelaide and St.Kilda while we are battling it out in the fantasy footy finals. Ross Lyon’s lads have three premium midfielders and the question many of us need to ask is which might be the better trade in option after round 11?

Which Fremantle midfielder will score most points for the rest of the season?

WHAT DO WE DO WITH SAUCE JACOBS?

Plenty have been very patient with the big Adelaide ruckman. But the big bloke from the city of churches was subbed off during the third quarter with a paltry 33 Supercoach points. At this stage it appears as if he isn’t injured, was just subbed off for spudsmanship it seems. Has he stretched the friendship too much and is it time to show him the door? He in now $403,800 which means he has spilled $142,500.

Sauce Jacobs. Would you stick with him or show him the door?

WHICH IS THE BEST TIGHT ARSE OPTION HERE?

I love a bargain. I am usually frothing at the chops this time of week because Mick The Mad Irishman releases his Tight Arse Tuesday weekly article tomorrow. And there are three warriors with proven premium pedigree who are cheap as bloody chips this week. None of then is in special form, but all three have shown a few signs in recent weeks that they could well return to the top.

Which tight arse option do you prefer?

  1. Genco says:

Not going for any of the tight arse options, showed sauce the door 4 rounds ago for Goldstein and good old tee wolf will be incredible for the rest of the season.

  2. Pedro says:

Sick of Sauce now, a ton last week, thought he was turning the corner, nope. Trade him or Monfries for Nic Nat?

  3. @bridgman35 says:

    Hey lads,
My trade options this week, Stevenson>Staker is a given.
    Second trade:
Option 1: Terlich who is currently my D6 to Duffield leaving me with 3,500 or
Option 2: O'Mearer to Hannebery who is a bargain leaving me with 100k

Option 1 has my back 6 looking like this:
Hanley, Goddard, Hartlett, Birchall, Goodes, Duffield

    Option 2 midfield looks like:
GAJ, Pendles, JPK, Dangerfield, Swallow, Fyfe, Priddis, Hannebery

  4. brett says:

    Hey guys
im thinking my trades this week should be
    LeCras>Staker..Downgrade
    Gawn>Naitinui Upgrade

    upgraded teams as follows:

    DEF: goddard,hanley,hartlett,gibbs,shaw,goodes
    (terlich,thurlow)

intending to sell of a rookie and upgrade o'meara to fyfe in coming weeks post round 11.

    thoughts

    • @matt_twenty says:

I'd definitely go for it, Gawn and Hannath are not going to produce the scores you require for an onfield ruckman, and LeCras is slowing down so great trades in my opinion.

  5. knackers says:

hey guys, my team looks like this
backs ; goddard birch goodes shaw laird terlich pittard thurlow
mids; ablett pendles jager jpk dangerfield swan cotchhin kerridge wines viney
    rucks; luenberger cox currie blicavs
forward; martin buddy rocky j kennedy lecras s johnson macaffer b kennedy

do u think i should bring in another premium mid or downgrading lecras to staker to generate cash in time for the byes ?? please help

    • mclegend says:

I would look to upgrade wines to another premium mid, like watson and you should score some serious points from your midfield with good loophole options. Then upgrade your backline, bringing in duffman after the round 11 bye

      • knackers says:

if i trade in watson for wines i have to trade out lecras for staker ? what u think

    • mick says:

trade out laird for Staker. That will help you during the byes. TRUST ME!

  6. Genco says:

Stakers last 2 scores against collingwood: 150 and 73. As if we needed any more convincing!

  7. billericay says:

who would you bring in out of Stevie J or J Selwood?

    • @matt_twenty says:

Wait a week or two when Selwood is around the 500k mark – bargain price especially with their upcoming run, not to mention their run home

      • billericay says:

I'm keen to bring in players with the R12 bye. Even though he's expensive I'm thinking Stevie J this week and J Selwood next. That's assuming Selwood plays this week.

        • The Old Dylan says:

He should be right, apparently he copped knocks to the ear and funnybone. Unless he gets rested, which I doubt as this week is the cats’ first game under lights at gene Simmonds stadium

  8. @matt_twenty says:

    Hey community!

Word of advice don't even give Mumford a thought, I started with him this year and he continues to go down in value and produce scores you'd expect from a rookie. With Pyke being the number 1 big man for the swans these days I warn you STAY AWAY!

    • billericay says:

I do wonder what's going on with Big Mummy and who is #1 at the Swans. Will be interested to see what happens when Tippett comes in after the R12 bye.

    • Fabian says:

Feel your pain! Had him from the start and It's very frustrating. With Reid out injured, swans will have restructure… hopefully for the benefit of Mummy.

      • Rotten Ronny says:

Bloody Mumford, had him from the start too. Not sure whether to trade him out or hope he improves somehow. At this point in time, it'd be criminal if the Swans dropped Pyke in favour of Mumford when Tippet comes in.

        • @matt_twenty says:

Yeah should be interesting, I'm holding him for now and dealing with my priorities, but if his current form keeps up he will be gone post bye rounds

    • SCaddict says:

Yes completely agree Matt. With his poor track record with injuries and suspensions as well as Pyke's rise to prominence he is one to steer clear of for sure.

Could imagine the potential for him to get dropped or rested in some games once Tippett commences.

  9. knackers says:

should i trade out lecras for staker and wines for watson?

    • SCaddict says:

      Totally!

Think LeCras has served his purpose now and you should take the cash and run. Jobe and Stakes would make great ins.

  10. @MRB37 says:

Dumping Jacobs for Nic Nat, I reckon. Honestly, with Freo using ruckmen #3 and #4 it wouldn't surprise me to see them stick Angus Graham in for a week and rest Jacobs. Could also go in with just McKernan and Jenkins, who managed to hold their own against Goldstein.

  11. SCaddict says:

Too late in the day for tight @rse options and messing around with mid pricers for most.

It's all about bargain bin rookies and ultra premiums now unless you have trades aplenty which I definitely do not.

    • @MRB37 says:

Yea, i'd be considering "tight arse" options like Selwood or Priddis from a few weeks ago, but not those guys listed above.

    • Rocksta says:

Agree. Tight arse options are Joel Selwood this week, or Dane swan next week. Its rediculous how cheap they are going in consideration of their powers.

      • Shaneoo88 says:

Swan is the one big scorers I will stay away from. I will look to bring in one of the Freo mids after their bye instead

  12. razzle says:

Trade Jacobs to Nic Nat or upgrade macaffer to Nic Nat?

  13. Simon says:

I won’t be bringing in any of those blokes Jock. We are in the prime of upgrade season with plenty of trades and fat cows, we should be looking to get rolled gold particularly in the midfield. As for sauce, keep for now and once your team is completed go forth and get rid if him.

  14. Dylan says:

Stokes, Buddy or Dusty Martin? (With price in mind) ]
Im considering just spending all my money to get Martin who i know should keep his average around 100-110 for the rest of the year?

    • Benny says:

also martin Dual position player which can help in bye rounds and withcotchin underporming martin can step up.

      • The Old Dylan says:

DPP doesn’t matter this year for byes, your best 18 regardless of position go on the scoreboard

        • Kev says:

Not to sure about that. If you have all 10 of your midfielders playing (by some miracle) you only get the 8 on the field, bench players won't count towards your best 18. DPP could be useful

  15. Benny says:

any advice you can give me would be great about my team very worried cause just relised i've done two trades every round this season so only 12 trades left after bringing in stevie j for moloney and staker for monfries averaging 2200 and here is my team!
    DEF:
Goddard, Heppell, Duffield, Terlich, Gibbs, B.Goodes (Colquoun, Stevenson)
MID: Ablett, Stevie J, Barlow, Cotchin, Swan, O'Meara, Priddis, Vlaustin ( Viney, Crouch)
FWD: Buddy, Walker, J.Kennedy, Martin, Naitanui, Staker (Macaffer, B.Kennedy)

Any thoughts of improving my team to be a good chance of top 4 in my 2 leauges ( sitting 5th and 6th) would be great

    • Zimmer says:

Pretty solid looking team. Very close to being set. Maybe hold off trading until the bye rounds – then upgrade GoodesO'Meara. Then you'll be done. What are your rucks btw?

  16. moncon says:

    Matthew Kruezer:

    Last 3 scores 42, 80, 92, got GWS next, @ 380k is down 114k in price, less than 5% ownership, B/E 57

    Community's thoughts appreciated

    • Rocksta says:

Started really well before he had that injury set back. Scores show he's getting back to full fitness and as such i reckon he'd be a good buy in. He also has the bye in Rd 13 and as such you will still get 3 scoring weeks out of him if you bring him in now.

  17. Rocksta says:

Tight arse options should be :
    – Dane Swan next week BE 177, currently priced at $544K
    – Joel Selwood this week or next BE 140, currently priced at $521K
    – Mathew Boyd this week BE 76, currently priced at $505K
The byes may however force you to wait on Boydy until RD 12, and if you dont bring in Selwood this week then wait until RD 13.
Tight Arse options need to be Premiums this far into the season

  18. baz says:

Hey all, have a bit of a problem here, this is my team right now:
    DEF:Hibberd – Gibbs – Heppell – Goodes – Terlich – Vlastuin (Thurlow, Webster)
MID: Pendlebury, Cotchin, JP Kennedy, Priddis, Fyfe, Goddard, O'Meara, Liberatore (K Mitchell, Colquhoun)
    RUC: Jacobs, Leuenberger (Gawn, Currie)
FWD: Bartel, Cox, Martin, Rockliff, JJ Kennedy, Dwyer (Macaffer, Mayes)

Two injury clouds over Terlich and Leuenberger, and also a severely underwhelming Jacobs. Thinking of downgrading Terlich to Staker, then upgrading Jacobs to Nic Nat or maybe even Willy Minson as a POD. Will hang on to Leuey, don't think he'll be out for too Long.
Thing is though, I have 16 trades left with 756K (!) left in the bank for massive upgrades. Is it worth getting rid of both Sauce and Terlich given my shortage in trades or should I hold onto one?
    Thoughts will be well appreciated

    • Rocksta says:

It really depends on how long they will be out for. Luey has a bye in Rd 11 so if he is out for several weeks, id get rid of him for Nic Nat ( bye Rd 12).
Staker is a hard one as he has the bye in rd 11, but you cannot afford to miss out on this great cash cow and potential permenant F6.
Thus, if Luey is forecast to be out for 3-4, id go Luey to Nic Nat, and Terlich to Staker.
Sauce has his bye in Rd 13 and as such you just need to ride it out until after that.

    • Rocksta says:

Sorry, clarifying, ' you need to ride sauce out UNTIL rd 13', and you can get rid of him then if he doesn't improve.
I dont like sideways trades, but out of any player this year I believe he justifies the decision ( closely followed by Birch).

      • jbomb says:

Birch is looking like a tasty upgrade after his bye ???

      • Aaron says:

Agree. Jacobs has to be held until Adelaide's bye round.

        • jbombs jets says:

Lucky i dont have jacobs ! Might get rid of the burger swing josh jenkins into ruck ! Therefore still have a swing set with sam rowe < cox and jenkins> and latch onto nic nat .The old brain is in overtime mode at the moment as these trades over the bye rounds could make or break my supercoach dream of 50 large . Currently ranked 3rd overall !! jbombs jets

  19. tynanjsmith16 says:

Who Should i get rid of-Who Should i get rid of-
    A) Out – Bret Goodes $ 452,300 to spen on who ever
    B) Out- Chad Wingard $514,400 to spen on who ever

    • YappaDog says:

Are you downgrading or sideways trading/upgrading? If your downgrading I would show Goodes the door. On the other hand though you must have other more important or better trades. Two players on the 90 average, better than 70 by a big margin. Look at other people's trade options and think about them. Hope this helped! :)

  20. Remy says:

Any good premium mids for under 530,000????

  21. Josh Murray says:

    Out Jimmmy Barlet
    IN Tompus or McBean????

  22. kade says:

kreuzer legitimate tightarse option- is at 380k

  23. @Jacko2128 says:

get in watson or murphy this week?

    and

staker in for terlich or lecras?

  24. Westy says:

    Current team
DEF – Goddard, Hanley, Roberton, Goodes, Lester, Vlastuin (Dixon, Docherty) – first 5 averaging over 90 and Dixon averaging 100+)
MID – Ablett, Kennedy, Jack, Dangerfield, Priddis, Hodge, O'Meara, Evans (Neade, Jones) – first 4 over 110, and Hodge, Priddis & O'Meara in the 90s
RUC – Cox, Roughead (Gawn, Daw) – Cox 110+, Roughy just under the 100
FWD – Kennedy, Monfries, Franklin, Zorko, Dwyer, Crozier (Macaffer, Karnezis) – Most in need of boosting – Kennedy 100+, Monfries 90, Franklin & Zorko almost 90

    Currently contemplating the following options.
Option 1 – IN Watson, Staker, OUT Jones, Karnezis
Option 2 – IN Natanui, Staker OUT Karnezis, Neade

Subsequent trades in Pendlebury, Natanui/Watson, Selwood, Duffield

  25. Dee says:

What's Watsons break even this week? Thanks….

  26. Sam says:

Jacobs to kreuz Hepplell to Duffield ( have to take a essendon player out of the backs for the bye rounds)

  27. Choppers says:

I have Leuey and Jacobs with Daw and Rowe on the bench with Cox in the forwards.
Leuey could be out for 4-6weeks so was thinking of keeping Sauce and upgrading Leuey to Naitanui…..Any thoughts?

  28. Osh says:

I've heard Tommy Rockliff is out for 2 weeks

  29. Lachy says:

the berger man out for Stevie J or Nic Nat???
