2013 Supercoach rookie cheat sheet version 4.0

Supercoach Rookie Cheat Sheet v4

Not long to go now folks – and it is critical that we get a good idea of which rookies will play some solid game time early in the season. Higgo, Crouching, Mick, Mr Crimmins, Vince and I met this afternoon and have come up with the latest revision of the famous Jock Reynolds Fantasy Footy Community rookie cheat sheet:

Click here for the Supercoach rookie cheat sheet v4.0

The big issue this year is forward line rookies. Sparse as bloody hens teeth. Some are putting some consideration into lengthening out their forward lines with more mid priced options but I deplore to you community – don’t go too heavy on mid pricers!

Now this should download what they call a P D F document. It is an electronic version of a document that you might have otherwise printed off on your printing devices. If you have trouble on your computers Warren says to “try right clicking and doing a save target as to try and get it onto your computer”.

What are your thoughts folks?

Jock

  1. @Dashism says:

Nice stuff Jock. Bit off topic, but what are you're thoughts on how Lake's addition to the Hawks backline will affect Birchall's output this season?

  2. lol says:

Nice stuff jock but im not sure on sam rowe and brent macaffer could help me on these cheers

    • Kev says:

Caff is safe as houses, as the cheat sheet shows he is the best fwd rookie option right now.

Rowe will be thereabouts, named on Friday in a team with Kruze and Hampson. Final round of the NAB cup is usually a good indicator of the coaches idea of his best 24-25 or so players, so make sure you have a look at the teams this week. Won't play every week, but as a fwd/ruck swing he is a good option

  3. SCaddict says:

One rookie mid who couldn't fit into the cheat sheet but I'm watching closely is Hill of the Hawks. An eye catching performance on the weekend against decent opposition.

With a few Hawks departures in the offseason and injuries to Suckling, Whitecross and Hodgey he may get a look in early as the Hawks badly need some pace across the middle I reckon.

If he's named in Rd 1 I'll find a place for him in my team.

    • Ben says:

Yep, I have currently given him a spot in my midfield. I'm hoping he plays round 1 and I expect him to with the injury to Suckling and loss of Young. I can see him getting a regular game this season, and I think he will maintain a decent average.

      • SCaddict says:

He's an exciting prospect alright. Could prove to be the missing ingredient the Hawks need to go one better this season.

  4. @PeterHiggo says:

My calculations have Ollie Wines in greenish lock mode Jock. While he is at somewhat of a rookie premium price ($169,500), he has shown enough to me to give great confidence that he will smash he 30ish break even. At a similar price, not so sure about Vlastuin.

    • SCaddict says:

Tend to agree with you Higgo. Still favour him over Viney myself for the extra $60K even if I'm in the minority there. I know it's early but he's an impressive contested ball player who should perform nicely in Supercoach.

  5. dools says:

Top comment SC he has been on me radar for 5 weeks I Rate the fella and as you say Hawks are in a wee bit of injury strife

  6. Luttski says:

My team is set well i hope any feedback would be great cheers.
    B:Gibbs, Birchall, Watts
    HB: Heppell, Armstrong, Vlaustin
    Bench: Stevenson, Terlich
C: Swan, Watson, Murphy, Fyfe, Moloney, K.Mitchell, Crouch
    Bench: Viney, O'Meara
    R: Mumford, Currie
    Bench: Witts, Rowe
    F: Cyril, Rockliff, Martin,
    F: Cloke, LeCras, Varcoe
    Bench: Kerridge, Macaffer

    Cheers

    • Luttski says:

Also i have 5 spots available in my league: 411711

    • moncon says:

I think I'm right in saying that you've got no swing from MID to FWD (you have 3 in the other direction). Maybe that's not a problem for you.

Also no FWD Ruck swing set – cf Higgo all pre-season.

    • Bomber Stef says:

Better options than Kerridge as a fwd.

Have a look at Jock's rookie cheat sheet.

  7. moncon says:

Couple of Suns I'd like to know more about, if anyone can help, first Gorringe (there's your ruck for you Jock), and secondly Osborne in the backs – is he likely to play?

  8. Simmo says:

this is my team really unsure on the rookies,
and constantly changing my big gun players not sure which ones are realy worth the money need advice!!.

DEF: goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, Heppel, B.goodes, Docherty
    Emrg: Stevenson, telrich

MID: Ablett, Watson, Kennedy, Dangerfield, Sidebottom, K.Mitchell, Crouch, Omera
    Emrg: Viney, Colquhoun.

    RUC: Jacobs, Currie
    Emrg: Rowe, Witts

FWD:Cox, Walker, Zorko, Rockcliff, Varcoe, Mcaffer
    Emrg: Kerridge, Neade.

    • Kev says:

Pretty good team Simmo, Sidey is a nice POD. Rookies are pretty bang on for me.

Slight question on Currie as R2, no doubt he is a talent, but honestly, he is not going to banish Goldy to the magoos, wait to see if he is named round 1. It's a gamble, but you've got the fwd/ruck swing open if it backfires.

      Good luck!

    • JustSayin says:

good team mate, pretty spot on and follows alot better gun rookie guild line then i've seen some other teams put out!

  9. Eagle says:

Getting a bit silly now with questions that no one can answer!
This is my team and I have done absolutely no research and read nothing
and please tell me what to do,. as I have NO FFFG IEEAR??
    BOOOORIING.

  10. SCaddict says:

By the way for those who have Fox Footy and may not know the Supercoach Show returns next week for a special team selection series from Monday to Thursday at 6pm eastern. Each day will cover a different line starting with the problematic forward line on Monday.

    http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/supercoach-news/t

Will be curious to see how their recommendations differ from the group thinking here. Johno is the new host.

  11. Mikes mike says:

    How about

    • Mikey mike says:

How about for a slightly left field rookie ruck selection Brisbane's Sam Michael? With Luey on hold at the Lions for a while and Longer just being a second year player he might sneak in and get a few games, more than maybe a Witt or Rowe.
He will be on show Friday night in the nab cup grand final.

      • Kev says:

He's been omitted actually, also still on rookie list. So yeah, avoid that one

      • Phil says:

Brisbane still yet to release final team list with one place vacant for a rookie and say that they're decision will rely on the need of the team. So if Michael is elevated does the mean Brisbane are worried about Luey, could be a good indication of where he's at, I'm already scared off him. So wait until Brisbane name the player being elevated which I think they must do before the season begins or else they lose it.

  12. Luke says:

Will currie be a lock for R2?

  13. @pagedowner says:

Dean Terlich isn't a midfielder. DEF only.

I think that while not at the moment Max Gawn from Melbourne might be one of those later season ruck downgrade options if he can get his body right. Melbourne want to get game time into him and he's had a horrid run of injury. There's not much quality in the rookie rucks this year, it'll take injuries to see who gets gametime at a lot of clubs.

Kane Mitchell has to get upgraded still – and he absolutely butchers the ball when he manages to get hold of it. I'd be a bit iffy on him, especially at his awkward price.

In terms of forwards, Ben Kennedy from Collingwood is another one to keep an eye out for. Destroyed it at u/18's last year and manages to get a TON of the pill. Will be a sub a lot when he plays, but if you're desperate for a cheapie downgrade earlyish in the season, he's one to look at.

    • Mac says:

How is $126,200 an awkward price for a rookie? (Kane Mitchell that is)

      • SCaddict says:

Yeah I reckon you're missing an opportunity if you don't have in your team. True his disposal efficiency has been kind of ordinary in the NAB Cup but expect that to improve after he's played a few more games and adjusted to the speed and intensity of the AFL game over the WAFL.

  14. Micko says:

Laidler or siposs? Jock what’s your opinion?
    Please help!!

  15. Deanbartel says:

    Isn't B.Goodes still rookie listed ?

    • theazzyg says:

How many games can he play then? as he is listed on the dogs website as a rookie.

    • Kev says:

He sure is Dean. Not 100% on this, but I think players can be elevated to the senior list on the 19th March.

Sure Jock will be all over the elevations anyway

    • Phil says:

Pretty sure Bulldogs have one more spot for rookie elevation before the beginning of the season.

  16. Smithy says:

Haney and hepplle or mundy and hepplle?

  17. Smithy says:

    *hanley

  18. Jay says:

Going a guns and rookies method with a couple of guys I really like at mid price.
    Def
Goddard, Gibbs, hartlett, heppell, vlastuin, Terlich (goodes, Stevenson)
    Mid
Pendles, dangerfield, shuey, mundy, moloney, koby Stevens, wines, crouch (k Mitchell and o’meara)
    Ruck
    Zac smith, leuenberger (currie, Rowe)
    Fwd
Coz, zorko, Martin, rockliff, roughed, Byrnes (kerridge (changeable), macaffer)

I hav 36,500 leftover. Went for a big fwd lint because of so many cash makers in def and mid. Love to get some opinions. I would like a few more PODs as well but I don’t know who to squeeze out.

    Thanks
    Jay

    • Smittzzy says:

I'd get another ultra prem mid like Pendles or Ablett, your midfield is pretty skinny mate and thats where the points are.

  19. Micko says:

Whats your thoughts on Rookie KENNEDY (mid/fwd) from Coll?

Looks like he had a ripper game in NAB Round 3 against Brisbane going off his stats…

How’s he coated to Dwyer and Mcaffer?

Trying to choose rookie forward.. I also have Jed Lamb (syd). Confused here.. Suggestions welcome..

    • Kev says:

Love the bloke, dominated the carnival. Pies have two open spots on their list – one of which will go to hudson (you'd think). Dywer, Frost, and Mooney (all rookies) were named today to face the cats tomorrow. You'd think one of those 3 are front runners for the extra spot on the list.

  20. Deanbartel says:

For Goodes to be elevated, a player has to be put on the long term injury list afaik

    • Josh says:

Not correct. The Bulldogs have 37 on their list, and haven't yet replaced Justin Sherman (who was delisted in one of the late windows last year).

Goodes (or another Dogs rookie) can be elevated whenever…

    • Phil says:

Read in a Bulldogs forum they have one less senior on the list so they can elevate whenever they want.

    • Smittzzy says:

Also Stringer is indefinite, may be able to get somewhere there.

  21. Dee says:

Quick one guys…. Zorko or Rockliffe and Deledio or Cotchin, which respectively will have more impact in supercoach this year?! Opinions appreciated…. Thanks!

    • JJFyzz says:

      Zorko and Cotchin for mine

    • Kano says:

Rockliffe will play more midfield than Zorko. Cotch and Delids, flip a coin

      • Smittzzy says:

        Rocliffe and Deledio

Rocky will get way more midfield time, and Cotchin will get that hard tag where as Deledio can roam freely.

        • JustSayin says:

Cotch is untaggable, so they might let the tag slip to Did's but i have dids as a POD. back to the point though, do anything you can to get Rock and Zork!!

  22. Josh says:

Jock old mate – what are your thoughts on Elliot Kavanagh. Pretty big wraps on him as a junior, and would have gone top 5 int 2011 draft had it not been for hammy injury.

His DT scores looked alright in the Nab Cup:

    80 vs GWS
    38 vs Richmond (green vest)
    21 vs Collingwood (short games)

I play SC – worth a crack as a mid rookie?

    • SCaddict says:

Hi Josh. Although a possibility to get named for Rd 1 against the Crows it's unlikely I would've thought. Reckon Kommer is the bigger chance actually. Zaharakis is still to come back in of course and Hurls should play too despite the moon boot this week.

You're probably better off picking any of the mid rookies off Jock's sheet as they all have much higher job security and you want your rookies generating cash immediately and without interruptions.

Most coaches will probably only consider bringing him after he's played 2 games and is on the bubble for the third whenever that is as there are an abundance of other quality mid rookies to initially choose from for Rd 1.

  23. simmo3 says:

Hey guys thoughts on this possible side

Goddard Gibbs heppell vlatsuin goodes Stevenson (docherty terlich)

Ablett swan Kennedy shuey moloney wines crouch o’meara (Mitchell viney)

    Jacobs currie (witts rowe)

Franklin cox roughead zorko rockliff varcoe (maccaffer neade)

Rookies depending on rnd 1 selection and $29000 in the bank. Thanks guys

    • JJFyzz says:

      Hey Simmo,

Great team. Like the amount of Rookies on the ground in back and Mids with a bit of stacking in the forwards with mids and rucks.

Personally I'm not convinced about having Franklin in the team in Rnd 1 but each to their own.

      Good luck

      • simmo3 says:

Thanks mate. Thought of leaving out franklin for pendelbury or dangerfield but there is less rookie value in the fwd line. Would also be headless if he scores big and I don’t have him.

        • SCaddict says:

Yeah the Buddy dilemma is one of the toughest individual selections this season. The bugger can burn you either way whether you have him at Rd 1 or not.

I reckon there's a high probability he will drop well below $600K early in the season with the draw the Hawks have but he's certainly more than capable of pumping out 150 plus scores when you least expect it.

Currently out of my team in favour of Stevie J but haven't ruled out the Budmeister yet that's for sure.

          • simmo3 says:

I just don’t know if I can leave him out. Would be kicking myself if I didn’t start with him and it backfired. I’m pretty happy with how my team sits with him in it. Aside from a few upgrades that would probably be 50/50 anyway I dunno what I would do with the cash

  24. PortJared04 says:

    Wines, K.Stevens, B.Crouch, K.Mitchell, J.Viney, J.O'Meara.

Want 4 out of these 6, don't care too much about price.
Which 4 would you pick community?

    • Shimma says:

      Stevens, Crouch, Mitchell, O'Meara

    • Ben says:

For me: Wines, Crouch, Mitchell, O'Meara. Then Viney then Stevens.

      • Smittzzy says:

        Wines/Mitchell are magnets lock them!

        Omeara for me and Viney.

Crouch has got some serious competition in that midfield (Van Berlo, Dangerfield, Thompson, Vince, Sloane)

        Koby looks expensive to me

    • JustSayin says:

get on Koby, he isn't just a cash cow! if fit he is going to play every game in the WBD midfield and Boydy needs someone to handball it too, Lock! Dunno about Wines, big wraps about being "in and under" – don't think that'll hope up in young legs for a whole season.

      Also, Crouch, Mitchell O'Meara

  25. JJFyzz says:

    I've dropped Wines and Stevens

  26. JJFyzz says:

    Hi Jock,

Love the post. Great work as always.

Stevie J and the forward rookies are doing my head in soooooooooo, totally opposite to what I did last year where I was just going for as many league wins as possible, I've changed my structure to allow for an increase in value at the start of the year so i can come home strong.

    Back 3 Prem – 0 Mid – 3 Rookies Bench 2 rookies
    Mids 4 – 1 – 3 Bench 2 Rookies
    Rucks 1 – 0 – 1 Bench 2 Rookies
    Fwds 5 – 1 – 0 Bench 1 Mid, 1 Rookie

Of the 5 Premos in the Fwd line, 2 are Fwd/Rck and 3 are Fwd/Mids.

Could all change if none of the 3 rookie rucks get a guernsey for Rnd 1

    What do ya reckon Jock??

  27. Dom says:

    This is my team:

    DEFENDERS: B.Goddard, B.Gibbs, P.Duffield, D.Heppell, B.Goodes, N.Vlastuin (S.Docherty/S.Colquhoun(E))

    MIDFIELD: G.Ablett (C), D.Swan(VC), S.Pendlebury, P.Dangerfield, L.Shuey, H.Bennell, O.Wines, K.Mitchell. (B.Crouch(E)/J.O'Meara(E))

    RUCK: S.Jacobs , D.Currie. (S.Rowe/J.Witts)

    FORWARD: L.Franklin, T.Walker, M.LeCras, A.Cornelius, B.Macaffer, S.Mayes (S.Dwyer/T.Lee(E))

    $2,100 left

    • Dom says:

      What do you think?

    • SCaddict says:

Pretty good looking team. Reckon you're a little light on for ruck and forward back-up.

So I would suggest you consider dropping one of your premium mids and bring in either Cox, Ryder, Hale or Roughie into your forward line which will also give you coverage in the rucks too.

      • Dom says:

I know my forward seems a little tight, so I have managed to put in Rockliff instead of Mayes

  28. Andrew says:

Anyone think Kyle Martin will get game time for Collingwood, dont know much about him but has impressed in the NAB

    • SCaddict says:

      Kyle who?…

Yeah well down the list on the Pies jam packed midfield. Guys like Seedsman or Macaffer could struggle to get games when Daisy and Ball come back let alone someone like Martin.

  29. Jono96 says:

    Def
Goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, Heppel, Vlastuin, Goodes (Stevenson, Terlich)
    Mid
Ablett, Kennedy, Shuey, Fyfe, Mundy, Moloney, Mitchell, O'Meara (Crouch, Viney)
    Ruck
    Cox, Leuenberger (Daw, Currie)
    Fwd
Roughead, Zorko, Watts, LeCras, Varcoe, Macaffer (Rowe, Lamb)

Weighing up between Lamb and Neade and Kerridge
Also not sure wether to keep Cox, Lecras and Daw and have the ruck/fwd swing option or have Z. Smith, Rockliff and Neade without it.
    Thoughts?

  30. Campbo says:

Is Sam Mayes a chance of starting round one??

  31. Tommy Gun says:

What’s the story with frosty the snowman at collingwood is he expected to get game time early in the season?

  32. Shimma says:

Anyone think Macaffer on field with Rowe and Dwyer on bench is too risky for my FWD line?

    • Philip says:

Yes, Your bench has to have job security, you also need the money for the nice little price rise you can expect from the rookies who get game time.

    • JustSayin says:

Macaffer will play, saw him yesterday. Running well, accurate kick! popped up for a few goals, not much else down forward

  33. PortJared04 says:

Is it a good idea to have a midfielder who has a DPP status?
    Eg. heppel in the middle?

    • SCaddict says:

It's not a terrible idea but I believe you should go with as many midfield specialists as possible in the MID line.

So would prefer guys like Goddard, Heppell, Stevie J , Rockliff, Zorko in either my FWD or DEF lines rather than the middle.

    • Shimma says:

Personally I dont think its worth it at all, every mid spot is precious

  34. Daniel says:

    Josh kennedy or dangerfield

  35. SharkBait says:

Defenders: Goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, Heppell, Vlastiun, Goodes, Stevenson, Terlich

Midfielders: Ablett, Pendlebury, Murphy, Swallow, Bennell, Fyfe, Mitchell, Crouch, O'Meara, Viney

    Rucks: Jacobs, Currie, Rowe, Grimely

Forwards: Roughead, Rockliff, Cloke, LeCras, Varcoe, Macaffer, Kerridge, Lee
    only got 7,800 left

thought would be great on this

  36. Tommy Gun says:

Will Spangher get games for the Hawks? Looked impressive in NAB cup

    • SCaddict says:

Yeah reckon he should get games. He's done enough in the NAB Cup to get noticed and his versatility to play both back and forward is a major attraction for Clarko.

He's one of those fringe players though so job security is probably not assured at this point.

  37. Chloe says:

    My team is as follows:
    DEF- B.Goddard, B.Gibbs, P.Duffield, B.Ellis, N.Vlaustin, B. Goodes, L.Stevenson, D.Terlich.

    MID- G.Ablett, S.Pendlebury, P.Dangerfield, B.Deledio, D.Mundy, B.Moloney, B.Crouch, J.O'meara, K.Mitchell, J.Viney

    RUCK- S.Jacobs, D.Currie, S.Rowe, J.Witts.

    FWD- L.Franklin, D.Cox, D.Zorko, M.Lecras, P.Karnezis, B.Macaffer, S.Kerridge, A.Kennedy.
Change? Good? Startover? Feeback welcome. :)

  38. Aaron says:

I’ve noticed a lot of teams have Heppell don’t think he will get much midfield time once Zaha is back so keep that in mind.

  39. Jammo says:

    Ryder or Rockliff

  40. Daniel says:

Josh kennedy (WCE) or Travis Varcoe

  41. Daniel says:

    Lewis Jetta or Dustin Martin?

  42. dannyboy says:

Haha im stuck on jack Watts or Dustin Martin

  43. Tension says:

Nice team Chloe. Many of those are either in my team or on the radar. Only things is you are relying on Mick to give Bryce a kick up the backside. Birchall more reliable?

  44. Ben says:

Hey would appreciate anyone to rate it
Who should i trade i have 87K left over

DEF; Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall, Heppell, Docherty, Goodes (Coloquohoun, Terlich)

MID: Pendulbury, Cotchin, Watson, Kennedy, Moloney, Wines, Crouch, Omeara
    (Viney, Mitchell)

    RUCK: Jacobs, Leunberger (Currie, Rowe)

FORW: Franklin, Rockliff, Cox, Broughton, Varcoe, Macaffer (Dwyer, Kerridge)

    Cheers

  46. JJFYZZ says:

    Broughton?? Really.

Upgrade to Stevie J (out Rnd 1) but put in a rookie for Rnd 1(named once the teams are announced).

  47. PortJared04 says:

  48. Phil says:

Ok so i'm going with 5 rookie mids atm, from the 6 options on the cheat sheet, who misses out (i have enough cash for all of them) and who starts on the bench.

At this stage i'm thinking Stevens, Winey and Mitchell starting, but am starting to wonder whether putting omeara on and selling Winey would be a better idea in terms of value for money. Is winey really worth the extra 50k?

  49. Luke says:

    Zorko Lewis Bartel Hawkins Walker

    Need two of them.
    Who would you pick?

  50. Phil says:

Zorko and Bartel, Key forwards are too inconsistent and i don't know much about Lewis.

  51. Luke says:

    Danyle Pearce, swallow and bennel
    Or
Brett goodes, ablett and another 600,000+ midfielder with around 50k left over?

  52. Tom says:

    Moloney or K.Stevens & an extra 200k?

  53. Jon says:

    Hi guys,

here is my team so far. I’d like get your opinion or suggestion with my team. Specially from SCaddict, just enjoy reading his inputs/opinions and comments.

    BACK (4-0-2)

    Goddard, B – Gibbs, B – Duffield, P – Harlett, H – Vlastuin, N – Goodies, B (Stevenson, L – Terlich, D)

    MID (4-1-3)

    Ablett, G – Pendlebury, S- Watson, J – Cotchin, T – Varcoe, T – Mitchell, K – O’Meara, J – Crouch, B

    (Biclavs, M – Viney, J)

    RUCK (1-0-1)

    Jacobs, S – Currie, D

    (Rowe, S – Daw, M)

    FWD (4-2-0)

    Cox, D – Roughead, J – Zorko, D – Rockliff, T – Kennedy, J – Cornelius, A

    (Macaffer, B – Kennedy, B)

    • SCaddict says:

Hi Jon. Not too much I can add as you have a fine looking team already but will make a few comments about your midfield.

The one change I'd recommend you consider is downgrading Varcoe to either Wines or Koby Stevens. Don't get me wrong Varcoe is an exciting and important player for the Cats and no doubt will go up in value but I just think those other two guys will end up generating you more cash in the middle in the long run.

Plus you get to save $100K to use improving your team elsewhere or keeping the surplus in the bank for future upgrades.

Also Blicavs is an interesting choice on your bench. He's certainly impressed everyone in the NAB Cup and is a great story. Just a little worried about his JS when West, Vardy and McIntosh come back whenever that is.

Could pay off for you though if he's able to maintain his spot in the team to about Round 6/7 which is about the time to start harvesting the first wave of rookie cash cows anyway.

        Thanks SC
Totally agree with you. Originally I had K Stevens, O Wines, K Mitchell, J O’meara and Varcoe at FWD. But then I was impressed with Kennedy thought, I gotta have him in the forward again this year as last time he burnt me big time. If he doesn’t workout, well at least I can use him as a stepping stone to upgrade later on.

At the same time I didn’t want to lose Varcoe. So I thought I’ll slot him in the Midfield, at least he gives me that DPP option. I know I wanted to generate as much cash as I can, did not look at the bigger picture as you(SC) have with Stevens or Wines.

As for Blicavs, he sure did impressed the heck of me. And sure Scott would’ve too, so I took this small gamble of putting him in the bench and maybe he will get more games than expected. As a Kangas Supporter McIntosh is injury prone, as I can recall he only played 2 or 3 full season in the 8 years he was playing for us. Last two seasons I think he played less than 10 games and its looking that way again.

Thanks for your input SC really much appreciate it. I will take up your suggestion on Varcoe. Just need size up who I will take, that will make some cash and give me results too.

        • SCaddict says:

Best of luck. You have a team that should do very well.

          • Jon says:

Thanks SC. Same to you, best of luck.
It will be interesting to see your line up SC on how my team will stack up against yours.

Oh! I have changed my team a bit. I think we are in the same league “JR Community”

    • Jon says:

Thanks SC. Same to you, best of luck.

Oh! I have changed my team a bit.

  54. Phil says:

Here's my team, please rate it.

Backs: Gibbs, Reilly, Hanley, Goodes,Stevenson Terlich (Docherty, Colquhuon)

Mids: Ablett, Watson, JPK, Deledio, Swallow, Wines, Mitchell, Omeara, (Viney, Crouch)

    Rucks: Jacobs, Currie, (Rowe, Daw)

Forwards, Cox, Zorko, Rockliff, Johnson, Martin, Harper, (Macaffer, Lee)

  55. Brick says:

For the 4000th time Daniel Gorringe of GC Jock, he'll play, he might not score huge or even be worth anything other than a reddish orange block, but he's got to be on the ruck radar.

Draft pick 10 – can play up front or down back and has been doing enough to suggest he'll play alot of games this season.

    Hey Coaches,
I need some feed back on my team! I like many others have been procrastinating, alot! My line up has changed so many times. Just want to know if I am in the ballpark on premo/rookie ratio or mids or what ever. Not sure about buddy should I spend less and bulk the mid or an extras premo def…???
    DEF
Goddard, Gibbs, Duff, Atley, Vlaustin, Goodes(Stevenson & Terlich)
    MID
Ablett, Cotchin, Shuey, Rockliff, Heppell, Wines, Mitchell, O'meara(Crouch, Viney)
    RUCKS
    Ryder, Currie(Lewie, Rowe)
    FWD
Buddy, Cox, Bartel, Dusty, Kennedy, Macaffer(Stringer, Kerridge)

Also thoughts on Jonathon Patton would be good!!!
    Cheers

  58. Jimmy says:

Stringer would you consider him jock? Would love some opinions.

  59. Dave says:

Have you seen centrebets Fantasy league. Same as Supercoach with a bigger prize pool $150,000. Check it out http://bit.ly/centrebetafl

  60. Linxsta says:

Hi Jock, THIS ONE HAS BEEN DOING MY HEAD IN!
I want to select Vlaustin but very concerned he will be sporting the green vest on several occasions. Watchya think?

Also, I am keen to select Hibberd as a POD and believe he has greater capacity. However, I am not keen on his hammies………but looks fit and performed well in NAB

  61. loz says:

Why is no one taking Lachie Whitfield??
    Purely $$$ or what??

    • SCaddict says:

Mainly because it looks likely he will get managed and miss weeks here and there and perhaps even worse, vest time.

In fact Leon Cameron remarked last month "If we got 10-12 games out of Lachie we'd be absolutely rapt."

      http://www.heraldsun.com.au/afl/more-news/no1-dra

He's also expensive for a rookie as you mentioned so most coaches are picking guys like O'Meara, Viney, Mitchell and Crouch instead who also should play more games.

  62. loz says:

No.1 draft pick POD??? The kid can play, and WILL go up in value. The only question is by how much… Ive got him in and I am liking the fact no one else is taking him.

    • SCaddict says:

Indeed all those things you say are true although a POD is not always a good thing.

A bit too risky and pricey for most coaches here especially with all the other rookie mid choices we are blessed with this year.

  63. Daniel says:

    Jetta or Martin

  64. Lochie says:

DEF: Goddard, Gibbs, Brichall, Valstuin, Goodes, Stevenson, (Docherty, Terlich)

MID: GAJ, Swan, Kennedy, Selwood, Cotchin, K. Stevens, K. Mitchell, O'Meara, (Crouch, Viney)

    RUC: Roughead, Leuneberger, (Rowe, Currie)

FWD: Cox, Walker, Rockliff, Martin, Varcoe, Macaffer, (Neade, Lee)

18, 100 left over. Thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

    • McFog says:

      Don't have:
Selwood, Cotchin, Mitchell, Leuenberger, Walker, Martin, Lee

      • Lochie says:

Are you saying get rid of them?

        • McFog says:

          Yep.
Swap selwood for someone better. Selwood may get the big scores, but he'll be concussed this year which will get you doughnuts!

          Cotchin: Would rather have deledio
Martin: As posted on this website earlier this week, too inconsistent
          Mitchell: Would rather Wines
Leuenberger: only have if selected for R1
          Lee: Rubbish
Walker: Up to you, i just don't trust him

          • Lochie says:

            Alright. Maybe: Cotchin—-> Lids
            Selwood—-> Pendles or Dangerfield
            Mitchell—-> Wines

What are your thoughts on getting Zorko for rockliff?

            • McFog says:

Ok well Cotchin –> Lids is up to you, personal choice

Selwood –> Dangerfield. You already have swan in your team

              Mitchell –> Wines: Good move

I have Zorko in my team instead of Rockliff, so again, personal choice.
